How to open include ZX... of User exit.?

Hi experts,
Please help me how to open an include zxvvfu01 of Function module "EXIT_SAPLV60B_001" of User exit "SDVFX001"
I want to change some code in include Zxvvfu01 but I open transaction SE37 and enter "EXIT_SAPLV60B_001" and then double click on Zxvvfu01 but the message is "Program names ZX... are reserved for includes of exit function groups"

Hi,
As suggested by expert is absolutly correct.
Just try t.code cmod -.> project name -> component -> display -> double click on function exit -> incude -> double click.
It should work.

Hello Madhan,
Usually the include in the user exit is part of a function group which directly may not fetch u tcode. So the best option is..
1. Get the FM name and check the table modsap. This will give u the enhancement name and related information which can help u with the tcode.
2. to use the where used option which will lead you though multiple program till u reach the main program where u can search for transaction.
e.g say u r trying to search include ZXM06U41 which exists in the FM EXIT_SAPMM06E_016. Now if u do a where used for this FM it will show program name MM06EF0C_CUSTSCR1_ITEM_SET_D03 if u again go for where used it will show u MM06EF0C. now if u click of the Display object list in the toolbar u will get the list of tcodes also.

However, for serious programming you should use a a better strategy. In principle, user-exits are either ON or OFF and, if they are ON, they are ON for all user which is usually not intended.

The alternative would be to place the entire coding including the conditions in the include ZXCATU01. However, in this case you can test the user exit only in the context of the transaction in which the user-exit is passed.
Using the strategy I have devised you are able to test the user-exit in general and the specific user-exits independent of the transaction. For example, if you are already working on 6.40 or higher then you could use ABAP Unit Testing for this purpose.
The same logic can be applied for BAdI where we can have only a single active implementation.
Finally, I hope to convince that it makes sense to spend some time into a reasonable strategy for implementing user-exits.

How to Include code in User Exit

Dear Experts
I have a requirement where at the time of saving a delivery (SAPMV50A) SAP picks up the number range defined by us in table TVARV . My queries are
a. Any idea which will be the best user exit for this ?
b. And second suppose I have found a user exit in the code as follows
form user_exit_xyz

can I just go ahead and create an include in this subroutine ? If not what steps do I need to take ?

You attempted to create a program name beginning with ZX but this name range is reserved only for includes of exit function groups (function groups containing only function exits).
If you want to create a program ZXaaabbb, note the following for program type I (Include).
1. The program is an include of the function group Xaaa:
In this case, the INCLUDE ZXaaabbb statement should not be inserted in the main program SAPLXaaa, but in the program ZXaaaZZZ .
2. The program is not an include of the function group Xaaa:
Since the syntax check for includes of this name range searches for the global data in the program LXaaaTOP (not ZXaaaTOP), you may not be able to check the include in isolation (--> check main program).
Procedure
Choose a different program name.

1)That is not Error msg it is just warning - first db click then press enter if there is any msg again press enter off course all these things will happen only your user exit Active.
2)see the import,export and changing parameters if you are new to user exit let us know which user exit you are trying to use.

You need to find out which SAP program uses this as include. You can do that by doing WhereUsed on Abap include RV03VFZZ in transaction SE38.
After you found out the main program, use transaction SE80 and display that program. Then click on Fields object and you will see all global variables that are accessible in your user exit.

How to find which are the user exits that updating z table.

There was a question posted by someone else which said:
I have a z table. my requirement is to find the user exits that update the value to this table?
but my requirement is to get only those user exits that update my z table.
Before that question was rejected, it got 5 replies which made me think that this tip is worth sharing.
So the steps are:
Do a where-used list search from SE11
Click on Search Range button at bottom
Type UPDATE (you can also add Insert, Delete etc to select-option) to ABAP Key Words field
Say No to the popup that asks whether to include Fields of the Table
Result will show relevant programs with code snippets doing static Update on that custom table.

EWK1 would be too performance heavy in this case. It scans the source code to get the result.
You can however, download the list of programs given in where-used list, and give that as limiting condition in EWK1 or some other code scanning utility.
Using my method, where-used list of table is taken from database tables, and then code scanning is done only on the that list, not on entire Z* programs.
Try it yourself to notice the speed difference.

FM in update task - How do you debug for a user exit (IW32)

Hi,
I am working on user exit IWO10009, fm EXIT_SAPLCOIH_009, transaction IW32.
The user-exit should be called any time an order is saved with parts added to the component tab.
The import structure of the user exit is CAUFVD, which doesnu2019t contain the items in the component. Instead, I have to go into table RESB and get the components.
However, when I go into RESB from inside the user-exit, the added components have not yet been added to the table.
As such, I was thinking of creating a Z function module in update task to process this code after the order is saved & RESB is updated.
2 questions
1 u2013 Is this the best way of accomplishing this?
2 u2013 How do you debug FMu2019s in update task? I have set a breakpoint & have switched system debugging on from inside the debugger, but it doesnu2019t stop inside the fm.

to debug update task you need to switch on "update debugging" not the "system debugging" from the menu Settings->update debugging.

How to lock the program in User exits

I have a problem with user exits. for suppose I am doing enhancement for particular TCODE, the other user is doing some changes to the same TCODE. My problem is where should i use the lock. Is it possible to lock the TCODE? How it can be done? please do needful............

What do you exactly mean by locking the T-COde.
Do you want that the other person should not be able to see the changes you have made. Then you can use your code in the Condition for "SY-UNAME = your user id".
Or do you want that the other person should not made the change. Then you need not worry because the User Exit does not have multiple instances.

How to get header text in user exit for sales order

My requirement is that I get and modify the header text in user exit when creating a sales order. In the user exit I'll do some validation and put the error code into header text. But I can't use function 'READ_TEXT' to get header text since the text has not been updated into database.

I belive i could not explain the problem properly... let me write it again.
1. I maintained Validation using FMVABD.
2. In PREREQUISITE I checked budget release operation using BPJA_VALID-VORGA = 'KBFR'
3. In CONDITION I used a user exit U100.
4. Made a copy of RGGBR000 as ZRGGBR000 and assigned it using GCX2.
5. Added following ABAP Code in FORM U100.

Another point is while maintaining validation using FMVABD, under TABLE FIELDS tab, one can find BPJA_VALID-FISTL (means Funds Center) but but I can not use in my ABAP Code.... it gives error message "BPJA_VALID" is unknown.
My appolgies for lengthy explanation... but hope it will help understanding the issue.
