How to process files one by one using sender file adapter

Hi,
I have to process file one by one using my file adapter (sender), because while doing the G/R materials get locked, if the same materal exist in other files.
I have maintained QOS as "Exactly Once in Order" & processing Sequence as "by date".
Processing sequence come in which tab? What will be the Queue name?
Thanks,
krishna

It will come under Processing tab
Here you need to select the first parameter QOS  as EOIO
Then QUEUE name and processing sequence will be enabled.
NOTE: This will work only for NFS protocol not for FTP.

  • How to filter emails using sender email adapter

    Hi,
    Does any one know how to filter emails of mail server using Sender email adapter(POP3 protocol ) in PI .
    To make it more clear let us assume that there are 10 emails in the email server then 3 emails should be fetched for Interface A , 3 emails Should be fetched for Interface B and remaining 4 emails should be ignored and left in the email server as it is ,  the reason for this is that it is not related with the Interface A or Interface B. Any suggestion or solution will be much appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prabhat

    Hi,
    I guess you didnt get my requirement clearly. My requirement is how to filter emails from email server using sender Email adapter in POP3 protocl and pass it to relevant Interface.
    For ex: suppose email no.1 is related to Interface A then it should go to Interface A
                   or         email no. 2 is related to Interface B then it should go to Interface B
                   or         if  email no. 3 is junk mail then it should avoid deleting that email and leave that email as it is
    The problem/challenge here is that email adapter of Interface A or B reads it first and deletes the email message so it is not available for the Interface A or B.
    So I just want that sender email adapter should filter it before deleting email from the email server.
    Can you provide some solution for this?
    Thanks & Regards

  • XI scenarios using Sender RFC Adapter

    Hi Forum,
    I am eager to know what kind of XI scenarios use sender RFC Adapter, can u give an example,
    does this mean........executing a RFC in a R/3 system and the result of the execution goes to XI.....or,
    does this means, like a sender JDBC Adpter, from XI, triggering execution of a RFC on a R/3, and getting back the result into XI............
    can i have a step by step blog to create such a scenario....
    thanks and regards

    Hi Sudeep,
    Sorry for late reply.
    Yes the 2nd reply was for receiver RFC.
    1. As i mentioned To configure Sender RFC you need TCP\IP connection. in that connection you will use the option registered server program and will mention a program ID there.
    2. Sudeep just remember, please configure RFC sender on XI side first and give a Program ID there, gateway service, host and login of your R3 system. Program id can be any string your name also. and please dont forget to activate the channel before going to R3 side.
    3. Then configure RFC in R3 side, and mention that same program id. mention your gateway host as R3 name or IP and you can get the gateway service from Tcode smgw. it must be something like smgw<xx>.
    and for ur information the program id is nothing but an identity on which basis the R3 system will search that which server object is active using that program id.
    4. when you will write a report to execute that RFC in background,  use Commit work as last statement.
    Please let me know if you want any further information.

    Hi,
    Check in SLD your integration engine business system have the following
    pipeline url : http://server:httpport/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
    check Http port also
    After that go to TCODE - SXMB_ADM - integrationn engine configuration and check if your server is configured as HUB with the same url or not.

  • How to process files sequentially in PI using bpm

    Hi Folks,
    I am really looking for one requirement like, Sender file adapter has to pick multiple files by file name based with some time gap? Can we?normally i am getting 40 files in the source directory with some time gap like 1hr and 2 hours.but my in some situations like system got down and if the server stopped for some refresh work then 2 days files will come to source directory and after system is sap pi try to process files at a time but the messages not going in order.
    I have got one BPM in this, I have tried with Process mode : Name and Date, with wait step on BPM, but no use. The way how PI behaving, if 40 files in file directory, it is picking all files in one shot. Start processing but not in order. if it is process also the SNC system can't process 4 at time.it will process files with some time gap.
    The problem is on Receiver system side. The receiver system is SNC system, if old data receives later than earlier date data; we get data obsolete application error.
    Ex: If I receive 25th and 26th files, first I need to process 25th first on PI sends to SNC, I need to give some time gap and pick another file or even PI picks and process 26th file, no problem but I need to give some time gap to send SNC to this 26th date file?
    Please how guys, throw me your great ideas
    Step1: i configured the sender file adapter with by name property to sort the files but some times pi picking new date file first and old one later.here my question is how to configure adapter to pick files in sorted by name.the filename i given like xml_0809008998_*.xml
    step2: after pi picking the files in order but the messages not sending order to target system.i was configure the bpm like first recive step then transformation step then i was used wait step to process files with time gap.after that block step mode is default inside i was used 2 bblock steps.
    here my question how to configure bpm process messages in order?
    Thanks in advance!!
    Regards
    SG

    Hi,
    In the sender file comm channel use Processing Sequence = By Date. After that use Quality of service as EOIO and provide one queue name. Use same queue name in the receiver comm channel as well. So files will be picked by the date of the file and messages will be passed to SNC system in "first in first out" basis.

    this is the list of the files sorted alphabetically but also is the list sorted by creation time (each filename (after yyy_C) contains a timestamp and also a date).
    The file proxy is configured as belows:
    Service Type : Any XML Service
    Protocol : file
    Endpoint URI : file:///tmp/osb/msg
    Get All Headers : No
    File Mask : yyy*.xml
    Polling Interval: 30
    Read Limit : 0
    Sort By Arrival : true
    Scan SubDirectories: false
    Pass By Reference : false
    Post Read Action : archive
    Stage Directory : /tmp/osb/stage
    Archive Directory : /tmp/osb/archive
    Error Directory : /tmp/osb/error
    Request encoding : utf-8
    Content Streaming : Disabled
    I used "Sort By Arrival : true" because from doc (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/httppollertransport/index.html) I read:
    "This parameter indicates the sequence of events raised in the order of the arrival of files. The default value for this parameter is False"
    It is not clear if 'order of the arrival' means by time of the arrival or by 'alphabetical order'.
    I did a test using the above settings but I see from OSB log file that the files are processed neither by time order nor by alphabetical order:

    How could I process files sequentially ?
    I think using also Read Limit = 1 and Polling Interval = 1 sec doesn't work, because
    - if the proxy instance P1 reading file A takes more than 1 sec
    - after 1 sec a second proxy instance P2 starts to process file B
    - but P2 can completes its processing before P1 ...
    What do you suggest to do ?
    Thanks in advance

    Do you know if OSB when polling a file, takes it only when OSB recognizes the file has been written completely ?
    I mean what happens if OSB wakes up while the file producer is still writing the file ?

  • How to test File Adapter from EM Console

    Hi All,
    I have one issue with File Adapter where I am trying to implement a simple BPEL process. Below are the steps;
    1. I have created an empty BPEL process and then add a read file adapter to the left side which will read from a file aa.txt which is present in D:\work folder. File is having data like XXXX,YYYY,ZZZZ. (I have used Native builder for schema generation)
    2. Then I have added Write file adapter on the right side which will write to an other file bb.txt.
    Then I have rebuild and deploy this on weblogic SOA server but on the EM console I am not able to test it as Test button is disabled. Then how to test this scenario? Also I tried testing by placing a new file aa1.txt in the same directory with some content. Logically it should be picked up and then write it to the bb.txt but it is not happening.
    Can anyone please help me in this as how to troubleshoot it.
    Thanks
    RJ

    Thanks for the reply.
    So if i understood correctly it means that we cannot test it using EM console as we have read adapter on the left side because of which we have not exposed it as SOAP service. When we put any file in the D:\XXX then automatically read adapter will pick that up and create one instance in the EM console and then write adapter will write it into the destination file?
    But in our case no instance is getting created in the EM console even when I am copying a file to the directory. Below is the read_file.jca
    <adapter-config name="Read" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="Read.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
    <connection-factory location="eis/FileAdapter" UIincludeWildcard="rj*.txt"/>
    <endpoint-activation portType="Read_ptt" operation="Read">
    <activation-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.inbound.FileActivationSpec">
    <property name="DeleteFile" value="false"/>
    <property name="MinimumAge" value="0"/>
    <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="D:\mywork"/>
    <property name="Recursive" value="true"/>
    <property name="PollingFrequency" value="60"/>
    <property name="IncludeFiles" value="rj.*\.txt"/>
    <property name="UseHeaders" value="false"/>
    </activation-spec>
    </endpoint-activation>
    </adapter-config>
    Please help as why it is not getting picked up?

    There are two ways to use the Os command in the file adapter.
    Lets talk about the sender File Adapter.
    First: Run operative system Before Message Processing
    Whenever any operation needs to be performed uppon the source file Just before XI picks it up.
    e.g. Calculate any hash code, backup the file to a given location, create a log at os level, etc...
    ... After Message Processing
    After Xi has processed the message, you can trigger a new os level command:
    e.g. Trigger a mail, check if the archiving was successful, etc.
    > What is the default path where it is actually runs this OS command?
    >
    Theres no default path, you assign the desired path in the Comm Channel configuration.

    I hope it helps.

  • How to configure File Adapter (Read)..?

    Hi all,
    While configuring the Read Adapter in BPEL 11g i am getting not reading any data from given location. But my location are correct.. So please how to configure File Read adapter and give any URL for this ... Thank you

    Hi all,
    The file adapter it consists many operations like
    1: Read
    2:Write
    3:Synchronous Read
    4:ListFiles
    So you are asking about Read operation
    First you take one File Adapter-->Select Read Operation--->Give Incomming file Location ( In local system you can give like C:/temp/NewDir Or Unix Envornment like you can give /temp/NewDir)
    After that you can give file Name like wich format it's incomming file name like CSV.txt or CSV.xml after you give Polling Intervels second or Mintued or Hour.You can select Native format or Define service Later once configure all those things the file adapter configration is done . If you have any doubts in file configrigation please go for the below link...........

  • How can I display to a projector using the VGA adapter?

    Using a VGA Adapter to the Thunderbolt connection, I  can display a Keynote presentation just fine, but I cannot seem to display the screen to project an internet page to a group of people. Is there some trick to this?

    From your description my guess is that you need to open System Preferences and select the Displays tab. Then click on the Arrangement tab and in the bottom right hand corner click on Mirror Displays. My guess is that at the moment your display setup is for 2 separate displays, 1 for the computer and 1 for the projector.

  • How smart is my mac? can use the AC adapter as a main power source and not charge the battery when its fully charged?

    does my mac use the AC adapter as the power source when its plugged in and the battery is full? is it smart to enough to split?

    The charging circuit charges until the battery reaches 100%, then shuts down the charging and goes to powering mode.  When the battery charge trickles down to 93-95% the charging circuit starts again and tops up the battery.  Will continue to operate like that if you leave it plugged in.  Keeping it plugged in does not harm the battery or risk overcharging.
