How to skip stuck message in queue folder.

Hello,<o:p></o:p>
I am using SMTP virtual server with office365. I frequently find out some of stuck or delayed messages after some messages have successfully delivered. I don't know why
these messages are delayed or stuck. But I would just like to skip the stuck message, after these are tried to deliver for 10minutes.
I have already changed some configurations in delivery tab that is located in properties of SMTP virtual server. I expected that the stuck message is expired, yet all of messages
are expired in queue folder.
Please, let me know how to configure that the stuck messages only skip.<o:p></o:p>
Thank you,
Park.

  • How to see Error Messages in Queue

    Hi All:
    how can we see/check the Queue in XI. Suppose I created one Queue in XI, and sending 10 message to XI. Because of some reason lets say Mapping Error occured in 5 messages and 5 are successfully sent. Now how can I chek these in
    Queue rather then in MONI.
    Thanks
    Farooq.

    Hi Farooq,
    Allow me to elaborate your question a bit ...
    What is important here is what kind of Quality of service you are using .
    Say for instance of if it is EO then ..
    you can see the error in in moni ...and you can click on the queue name there ...
    and it will take you to aapropriate queue ...where you can drill down further and see the reason of failure.
    And if your QOS is EOIO ...then any failure in a single message will not allow the subsequent messages to get processed ..
    There you can drill down to the actual message .....which has failed ..take appropriate action ...(deleting it from the queue)..
    unlock ,reactivate the queue if needed..
    so that the subsequent messages get processed..

    Deepak

  • Stuck messages in Queue

    Hi,
    I have a scenario SAP ECC > PI > 3rd Party.
    Messages are being send from SAP ECC to PI however the messages encountered an authorization error when sending to PI. During the fix, almost 1500 messages were stuck in the different queues in SAP ECC - SMQ2. the status of the other messages were in Green flag while the others are in Red flag.
    Now the fix has been made, the messages that we are now transacting is still stuck in the queue.Why are the other messages stuck in queue? Shouldnt it proceed? Does the queue in SMQ2 have a threshold or limit in continuing the other messages even the first messages were in error?
    thank you.

    Hi,
    use TCODE--SMQR for registering and deregistering.
    The queues which are avialbale in SMQR are the registerd and activated queues.
    each queue has type and mode.
    where type 'R' means registered and activated

    Hi,
    I have messages that are stuck in a specific queue seen in SMQ2. when I checked the status of the queue, it is RUNNING and the first message in the queue has a statusText 'Transaction Executing'.
    We have deregister - register, activate, unlock, lock the queues already but nothing happened.
    there are NO ERROR seen inside the queue.

  • Some Journaled Calendar Requests get stuck in Submission queue - 550 5.6.0 - storage error in content conversion

    I am having an issue on hub transport servers running Exchange 2010 SP3 RU6.
    Where some journaled meeting request related messages (acceptances, etc.) get stuck in the Submission queue.
    The error is:
    400 4.4.7 The server responded with: 550 5.6.0 M2MCVT.StorageError; storage error in content conversion. The failure was replaced by a retry response because the message was marked for retry if rejected.
    I raised the issue with our mail archiving vendor and they indicated this was an Exchange Server problem which should have been fixed in Exchange 2010 SP3 RU3, however we are running SP3 RU6 and the issue continues to occur.
    I realize that we could just delete the stuck messages from queue but has anyone run in to this before and know how to prevent it from happening?
    Thank You.

    Hi Mike,
    If you temporary disable\bypass third party Archiving , then what happens in the Queue.

  • IIS 6.0 - so many mails stuck in mail queue

    Hi All,
    From past 2 days, so many mails are getting stuck in mail queue folder. Normally, when there are more than 20 mails in queue, we used to restart SMTP and the queue gets cleared immediately. But , now the situation has changed. When we restart SMTP to clear
    mails in queue, they keep on increasing, say from 20 to 100 and then after 1 hour or so, the number goes to 20-25 and again increasing. We have not changed anything, but dnt know why this is happening suddenly from past 2 days. Users also are complaining that
    they are getting notification mails very late. The mails are not getting send and just staying in queue for a long time. I checked in SMTP log and found " OutboundConnectionResponse SMTPSVC1 E-SALES - 25 - - 421-4.7.0+[203.170.190.51++++++15]+Our+system+has+detected"+an+unusual+rate+of
    0 0 77 0 17891 SMTP - - - -"
    Kindly help and Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thank you,
    Phani.

    Hi Darin,
    Thank you for your reply. We dont have Azure.
    Actually, we have an e-payment website and when users made transactions, the notification mails go to users. We are using IIS web server v6.0 for this whole set up and SMTP is also configured in this. Basically, I am programmer and this is not my work domain.
    I am taking care of this server for time being and don't have much information/idea. Today, I observed the mails in queue are processing normally, but we did not change anything. What could be the reason for long mail queue for previous 2 days? can you throw
    some light on this? :)
    Thank you.
    hi,
    It seems like this issue may be not related to azure . I suggest you could post this issue into IIS forum or Window server General forum

  • TNEF Issue - Winmail.dat or messages stuck in submission queue

    Hi guys,
    I've looked around the forums and have found people that have had submission queue issues when they set TNEF to $null or $false, and have found that the unified answer is to set TNEF to $true.
    I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
    I have both issues. If I set TNEF to $true, I encounter the winmail.dat file problem. If I set TNEF to $false or $null, I encounter the submission queue issue (submission queue states "A transient storage failure occured", and users get a queue
    expiration bounce). Neither of these states are acceptable. I cannot have messages stuck in the queue only to be expired, and I cannot have recipients in remote domains failing to receive attachments in emails.
    Does anyone have a possible workaround that might resolve this particular situation? It seems that this has been an issue in Exch 2010.
    Current Environment Configuration:
    I am running Exchange 2013 SP1 Standard on both of my CAS/MBX servers, running on Server 2012 R2 patched to the latest updates. I have an inbound spam filter, but mail outbound is not filtered, therefore the spam filter on our side should not play a role.
    I do have not made any changes to the exchange default malware filter either. Other than this issue, mail is flowing correctly and as expected.

    I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that all the remote domain's recipients would receive winmail.dat files when you send the message to them if TNEF is set to $true, right?
    The Winmail.dat file is used to preserve Rich Text formatting. Outlook uses it when sending a Rich Text-formatted message. During transport, the content of the message may be changed, preventing the receiving client from being able to read the formatting
    instructions. In other cases, the receiving client does not use or recognize the winmail.dat file.
    I recommend that you refer to the following article to solve the issue:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278061
    Method 1: Change the default message format
    The sender can change the format of the email messages that they send by using the following steps:
    On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click
    Mail Format.
    In Compose in this message format, click to select Plain Text, and then click
    OK.
    NOTE: To send to certain recipients that use RTF format and others recipients that use plain text format, the sender must set the option for the recipient in either the Personal Address Book or the recipient's contact record.
    Method 2: Modify the recipient's entry in the Personal Address Book
    The sender can use the following steps to remove the RTF format from the recipient attribute in the Personal Address Book:
    On the Tools menu, click Address Book.
    In Show Names From, click the Personal Address Book.
    Select the addressee that you want to set as plain text, and then click
    Properties on the File menu.
    In the SMTP-General tab, click to clear the Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange rich text format check box, and then click
    OK.
    Method 3: Change the specific contact format
    The sender can use the following steps to set plain text in the recipient's contact record:
    Open the recipient's record in the Contacts folder.
    Double-click the recipient's e-mail address.
    In the E-Mail Properties dialog box, click Send Plain Text only under
    Internet Format.
    Method 4: Set the Outlook Rich Text Format Internet e-mail setting
    In Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, click Options on the Tools menu.
    Click the Mail Format tab.
    Click Internet Format.
    Under Outlook Rich Text options, click either Convert to HTML format or
    Convert to Plain Text format.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks.

    TechNet Community Support
    Niko,
    The Winmail.dat issue is only part of the problem, as described in my original post. For these messages (which it's a different set of messages every time, and it's becoming impossible for me to track them all down), if I set exchange or outlook to encode
    the message in Rich Text, the message gets encoded and sent to the recipient. Some of our recipients will reject the message because it is rich text, others receive a winmail.dat file.
    However, if I set exchange to not encode messages (TNEF= $false or $null), the message becomes stuck in the submission queue and eventually times out with an error resembling "Storage Transient Failure".

  • How do you find print center in iOS7 to check if a page is stuck in the queue?

    My iPads had been printing fine up until today. I had a glitch with my Air Print printer. It has been resolved and two out of my three iPads can't find the printer now. I've looked around on the internet and remembered in iOS 6 the ability to find Print Center was easy. But how do I find it in iOS 7 when my iPad can't find the Air Printer in the first place? I want to check to see if a job is stuck in the queue and that is causing the error message.

    This article says it better then I can.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
    From the article.
    Viewing the Print Summary
    You can view the Print Summary by double-tapping the Home button and swiping to the right to reveal Printer Center. Then tap Print Center.
    Note: Print Center is available only while printing is in progress.

  • How to delete the messages in the purges folder?

    if the mailbox is enabled the single item recovery, then the messages would move from deletion folder to the purges folder After running the following script,
    Search-Mailbox dave -searchdumpsteronly
    -deletecontent
    so my question is how to delete the messages in the purges folder with some script or retention policy?
    Please click the Mark as Answer button if a post solves your problem!

    Thank you all,
    As the mailbox is enabled single item recovery.
    I just want to make the items neither in deletion folder, nor in purges folder.
    So I think there are two ways to achieve this.
    Method 1,disabled the single item recovery. then delete the items in deletion folder ,so it wouldn't enter to the purges folder, it just deleted permanently. then enable the single item recovery
    Method 2,delete the items in deletion folder,then the messages move to the purges folder, then delete the messages in purges folder.
    the Method 1 is not so good ,as it need to disable the single item recovery firstly, then enable  single item recovery .
    So I want to use the Method 2

  • Message getting stuck in XBQO queue - Time limit exceeded

    Hi All,
    We have a BPM scenario in our project (on PI 7.0 SP18), where bundle of PEXR2002 Payment IDocs are received as a single flat file. This file is then consumed by the BPM, to split the message into multiple payments using Java Mapping.
    However, when we get an IDoc file of size greater than 5 MB (more than 500 IDocs), the message gets stuck in XBQO queue and eventually giving a SYSFAIL with the message "Time limit exceeded". Could you please let us know if you have encountered a similar issue and are aware of a possible solution.
    Any pointers to this will be really appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    ROSIE SASIDHARAN

    H Rosie,
    1)  Goto SXMB_ADM-> Integration Engine Configuration->Parameter  EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT->possible values 0 - 2,097,151 (KB)
    The parameter EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT enables serial processing of messages of a particular size. This applies for messages with the quality of service Exactly Once (EO). If the message is larger than the parameter value, the message is processed in a separate queue.
    2)  Goto SXMB_ADM-> Integration Engine Configuration->Parameter  HTTP_TIMEOUT->possible values n Seconds, where n is a whole number.
    The parameter Specifies the timeout for HTTP connections (time between two data packages at line level). This value overrides the system profile parameter icm/server_port_n (for example, icm/server_port_0 : PROT=HTTP, PORT=50044, TIMEOUT=900). If you do not set the parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT or if you set the parameter to 0, then the setting for the system profile parameter is used.
      See SAP Note 335162  for sysfail issue....
      Hope these will help u....

  • How to remove large message stuck in the adapter engine?

    Hi experts,
    We have a large message abt 100 MB stuck in the adapter engine which is causing the J2EE server to restart continuously.
    I have tried increasing the heap sizes and the number of threads in config tool, but no luck. My question here is how to remove that message? Also I checked smq1 and smq2 both are empty.
    Regards.

    Hi Nagasatya,
    This issue is realted to Large amount of data.You have to write condition in the query.I have face same issue,but resolved it.Please do the following steps.
    Go to Configtool and selct the com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.svc and set this jdbc service to start manually instead of auto.
    Then restart server0, this time it should be started successfully. Then go to rwb and try to
    find if any jdbc hanging/failed messages are there, if so, cancel them;also deactivate the problematic jdbc communication channel, otherwise itwill poll the data again. After all above, you can manually try to start this jdbc.svc particually.
    Thanks

  • How to process stucked holding messages in the Adapter Engine.

    Hi experts,
    This question is may be familier to all...
    There are thousands of messages are in holding status in the Adapter engine in RWB.
    I tried to found system error in these messages. There is no system error from the last in my investigation. I tried to restart of the communication channels of the combination of these messages. But it is also not use to fix this problem.
    Instead of the restart of the Java engine please let me know is there any possibility to fix this issue.
    Regards
    Mahesh

    Hello Mahesh
    You can try restarting some of the XI services (e.g. com.sap.aii.af.svc) but usually a java restart is required to free up these blocked threads/queues.
    Most likely these messages are in Holding status because there is a blockage in one of the Adapter queues. This can be monitored in the RWB
    -> Component Monitoring
    -> Adatper Engine XIP
    -> Engine Status
    -> Additional Data
    Find out what adapter queues are causing the blockage and increase the number of threads/queues available to it. This will help prevent the issue occuring again.
    See note #791655 Documentation of the XI Messaging System Service Properties, for an explaination of the queues.
    See these blogs for more details:
    1) /people/kenny.scott/blog/2007/08/20/messaging-system-queue-properties-after-xi-30-sp19-xi-70sp11
    2) /people/kenny.scott/blog/2008/12/05/xipi-file-and-jdbc-receiver-adapter-performance-and-availability-improvements

  • How to check if Message already exists in the queue and if message is processing currently

    Hi everyone
    I am new to Azure and worked on adding messages to the queue through workerrole1. Worker role 2 pulls them out from queue and processing them and de-queing them.
    Worker role1 runs method gets called after every 10 seconds and puts messages in queue
    CloudQueueMessage
    message = newCloudQueueMessage(oAzureWorker.WorkerInstanceOf
    + "_"+ oAzureWorker.AgentId.ToString()
    + "|"+ ExecutionId.ToString());
                                    queue.AddMessage(message);
    Worker role2 runs method gets called after every 10 seconds too and checks the queue like this
    foreach
    (CloudQueueMessagemessage
    inqueue.GetMessages(20,
    TimeSpan.FromMinutes(5)))
    // Process all (20) messages in less than 5 minutes, deleting each message after processing.
    // Process message
    queue.DeleteMessage(message);
    Following are my questions
    1) How do I check in worker role1 if the message is already in queue, Because I don't want to queue it back again if its not yet processed and is in the queue already
    2) How do I check in worker role1 if the message is currently processing. Because I don't want to queue it back again.
    3) How do I make sure that ALL the messages get processed in the order they are inserted. I know Queue is FIFO, but I know if the message gets delayed in processing another instance can pick it up, even if it gets picked up by another instance, I want to
    make sure that the order remains.
    Right now the instances of both these worker roles are 1, in the future when we increase them, I don't want them to queue the same messages multiple times or queue them if the message is already in process mode.

    Hi Sarah,
    I agree to the Frank's suggestion. Why you need to burden the worker role 1 to check if the message really sits on the queue or not? You can do this simply in your code before pushing it on queue instead querying queue.
    All you need to do on worker role 1 is - push the message on the queue and forget as the entire queue design in azure is designed from asynchronous processing.
    About worker role 2 - Use the GetMessage method which hides retrieved message's from other clients and hence makes sure that only one client is processing it at a time. If processing is successful - delete the message. if it is not - the message will be
    visible anyways after the mentioned time provided in the GetMessage method.
    I agree that when you will increase number of instances of your worker role 1 which might insert duplicates in the queue - in that case - you might need to introduce the shared entity (like database) and let all instances communicate through it to avoid
    the duplication of messages on queue.
