How to synchronize iPhone with iTunes in Mac and BootCamp.

Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro and recently I purchased an iPhone. For work reasons I use windows as well as Mac OS ( I prefeer MacOS by in my company we develop windows software...)
The problem is that I synchronized my iPhone with iTunes in Windows and I want to use my iPhone with Mac iTunes too.
I think a possible solution is to use the same library in the two OS, and I don't know if it is possible.
In Mac OS I don't have write access to BootCamp's NTFS file-system partition, so I use a Windows software to full acces to Mac OS partition. For me the solution would be to place windows iTunes library files in MacOS partition and use these files with MacOS iTunes as library too, but I don't know if it's possible.
If anyone have any other idea how to solve this problem...

All your contacts, photos, music etc. should be on your computer, so you just sync the second iPhone to the same computer as the first iPhone.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

I was just referring to the visual graphics (you know, the fireworks, stars and other stuff that reminds me of the 70's....) that you can play on the screen when iTunes is playing music?
I noticed that these effects are not just randomly chosen, they are in fact synchronized to the beat and intensity
of the music, and that struck me as rather cool......

I have an iPhone 5 that I have never sync:ed with iTunes on my Mac, I have just set it up and purchased apps etc from the iPhone itself.
Now I would like to sync with iTunes for the first time with the iPhone but when I connect it, iTunes asks me if I want to setup the iPhone as a new iPhone (I assume form scratch) or from a backup from other iPhones that have been sync:ed with my Mac.
Now I dont want to setup this iPhone from scratch and erase everything thats on it, I just want to sync with my Mac, download apps, music etc. How do I do that and get beyoind the first screen that asks about setting up as a new iPhone ?

Hi I think I've found a workarround. I'm currently copying all files on my iPhone to the new PC using this program: http://www.getsharepod.com/download/
After all files are copied I think I can enable sync in the new iTunes and delete the iPhone, then add the copied files in new playlists.
I'll let you know.

The tricky thing with syncing multiple computers appears to be dupes, on the second sync, after syncing to a different machine in my experience. Overwriting is sketchy, though I'd probably risk overwriting my home computer (because I can always get it back with .Mac... hello Apple, cough .Mac syncing OTA...).

I have a Macbook running 10.7.1 at home and a PC at work running Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I sync my iPhone (music, photos, contacts, calendars, photos) with my Macbook at home. I have set up MobileMe syncing on my MacBook and iPhone.
If I install iTunes on my work PC, set up MobileMe syncing with Outlook, etc., can I then connect my iPhone to my work PC without problems? Or, upon syncing my iPhone with my work PC, will everything be erased?
I am trying to sync calendars and contacts through MobileMe to my iPhone while continuing to sync all of my music, apps, etc. to my Macbook at home.

Can't sync iPhone with iTunes on Mac book pro.

I have a iPhone 4 that I just now updated to version 5.1. I have a Macbook Pro running Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
When I connect my phone to the computer w the USB cable, nothing happens. iTunes does not "see" the phone.
I also have wifi and when I try to sync using this, I get a message on the phone "Sync will resume when"Macintosh.local" is available."
I have done a sync before with no problem using the cable. I have restarted both the phone and the computer. What am I doing wrong now?

I have tried all the suggestions on the support site Mr. Finch suggested. I have removed iTunes and after the third try, have downloaded and reinstalled iTurns. Still no sync. I have rebooted the router, computer, iPhone and still no sync.
It worked fine a month ago. Yesterday the sync worked fine on my other macbook pro to sync File Maker Pro.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a compatible application on the computer or a cloud service. If you chose to rely solely on the iDevice for contacts, it is very likely that they will be lost in the sync.
Photos taken with the iDevice are designed to be copied off the device and then synced back via iTunes. Again, it is very likely they will be lost.
The situation that you are in currnetly is exactly why regular, consistent backups are extremely important.

How do you work with iTunes 10.6 and 10.7?

My G5 will not run 10.7 so if I update the powerbook running Lion then will the library on the G5 be able to sync to the iPhone? or will the libraries be incompatible?

The photo library had to be moved to the laptop as iPhoto needed to be upgraded so when I sync my iPhone I attach it to the laptop and open the itunes library over the network in the G5 machine. Then I have to quit iTunes on the laptop and reopen it on the G5. There is a rebuilding of a file which takes some time afterwards and then iTunes works on the G5 and with my Apple TV.
Now with iOS6 out I have to upgrade my version of iTunes. My fear is that this will disable the compatibility of the library which couldn't fit on the laptop any way.
If I made a new library on the laptop that referenced the files on the G5 would that even work? There would be two libraries to keep in sync which would be a pain, and furthermore, would it matter if I was networked to the G5 over wired ethernet, 802.11n, vs firewire? I mean, would I have to always have the same scheme for the network and have it function? Else, how can you have a laptop function on the desk, couch, bedroom, kitchen counter... and have access to all the files that are on the G5 which is essentially functioning as a space heater, sound jukebox with its fiberoptic audio, internet station, and with the ability to store 6 TB of data internally, it serves the media library very well. The powerbook cannot do this at all.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

An older iTunes will not open the library once used by a newer version.
iTunes 10.6.3 will work with iOS6 as long as the hardware doesn't post-date the release of 10.7 Use iTunes 10.6.3 on both machines.
