How to synchronize section within a sequence runnin over parallel model

Have this sequence using the parallel model, I want to synchronize some section of it such that the steps been executed only in one of the executions; the Batch Synchronization steps didn't worked, apparently they work only if running the batch model. Tnx.

Doug,
I wonder myself too, why not to use something like batch model, unfortunatelly here they use a custom model which is used in a number of testers and has a NI Parallel Model shape, never used before for batch type testing. I tryed this:
i) Use a Randevois before my Only One Thread Synchronized (OOTS to abbreviate) section.
ii) Enclose OOTS steps in a separated sequence.
iii)Call this OOTS sequence after the Randevois but conditioned to only executed by socket 0 (like you suggest using socket index).
iv) The calling to the OOTS sequence its been done launching a separated thread, and storing this in an ActiveX reference
v) Set a Wait for Thread step after the calling, in this way every thread will wait and know about the result of OOTS steps.
Comments are welcome.
Regards.

  • How does Media Manager handle Motion Projects within the Sequence being cop

How does Media Manager handle Motion Projects within the Sequence being copied?
I've highlighted my sequence, opened Media Manager, and copied it to another drive. When I open up the sequence in it's new project, the rendered Motion Project plays within my sequence but it won't let me go back into this Motion Project to make changes. I tried starting over. This time I highlighted the actual motion sequence and clip that is created within FCP after sending something to Motion and copied those to the new drive. When I went into the newly created 'media' folder and double clicked on the motion project it launched. It looked liked it was going to play but while my crops moves and borders were there, the filmed material is shown as a freeze frame for the duration of the motion project.
I did this with and without 'including master clips within selection'. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is there anyone who knows the answer to this? Thanks.

  • How can I run sequentially each SequenceCall that is present within a sequence file in NI teststand

I have a sequence file which tests a number of DUT's. Each DUT has its own SequenceCall within the Sequence File.
I have set up each SequenceCall to create a New Execution and run in Single Pass to create a separate report for each DUT.
My problem is that when the Sequence File executes, it Calls all SequenceCall's and they begin to run in parallel, I want them to run in sequence. I tried using the PreCondition and Evaluate Precondition option of each SequenceCall to make sure the first/previous SequenceCall had completed but this did not work, the Sequence File still called each SequenCall at same time.

Why are you spawning a new execution each time?
Next to the Exeuction Options there is a button with a hammer and a wrench on it.  When you click on that you get the Sequence Call Advanced Settings.  Change the Wait for Execution to Complete: to Before executing next step.

  • How do I Export a -section- of a sequence?

I have an hour-long sequence that was recorded one take without breaks.
I've chopped it using the blade tool into smaller "chapters"
Is there any way to export just one section of the sequence?
Or, is there any way to export these chopped "chapters" into individual movies?
I know about chapter markers and I do not want to setup individual sequences. So, I do not believe that there is a solution, but figured I'd ask.

in future, instead of using the Blade tool in the timeline you could instead work with the source clip in the viewer, add a marker (press m) at each point where you want to divide the clip ... when it's all marked up you can then click on the disclosure triangle which will appear to the left of the source clip (in the browser window), select all the marker points displayed there, and then drag them into a new bin ... voila, you'll find you have magically created subclips to represent each of your chapters ... select them all and then chose File > Batch Export and away you go
for now tho, go down into your bladed up timeline, place the play head at the start of the edit
    1) press I to mark an In point,
    2) press the down arrow to jump the playhead to the next cut point
    3) press O to mark an Out point
    4) press Cmd U to create a subclip
now repeat step 1) through 4) until you have made a subclip for every chapter
back in the browser, select all the subclips you just made and choose File > Batch Export

  • How can I set the TestStand Engine tracing options to be on or off through automatically within my sequence file?

    Hello,
I am looking for a way, where I do not have to set the Station Options manually. I want to make sure that whenever someone is running my sequence, the sequence should make sure that the "Tracing Enabled" options gets disabled somehow. I know the tracing option is actually a setting of the TestStand engine, but I want to implement it within my sequence.
Please let me know if this is doable. If yes, what will be the best approach?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Niraj
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Depends on why you want to disable tracing. One of these might work for you:
    1) Lock the file as not viewable.
    2) Set RunState.Tracing to false as the first step in your sequence (still get the first trace message for the sequence though)
    3) On sequence calls to the sequence set the sequence call trace setting to disabled. (not enforced though).
    Hope this helps,
    -Doug

  • How do you create a "sub-sequence"?

I can create a "sub-clip" in Adobe Premiere Pro as described here:
But how do I create a "sub-sequence" in Adobe Premiere Pro? You can do this in Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer. A "sub-sequence" is described here:
    Much appreciated!

    Pompey (formerly J-MS) wrote:
    Nope, I think you're wrong.
I have watched the clip and nesting is exactly the same as your sub-sequence.
Nesting is nothing like subsequencing. A subsequence acts exactly the same way a subclip acts. Nesting is putting one sequence inside another.
    Adobe Premiere explains nesting as:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS3E67AF4C-B2A2-4f04-90B4-F8CCFB74B144.ht ml#WSEC1CCB36-CFD4-4d60-ABDF-B4F9BE339B05
You can nest sequences within sequences—to any depth—to create complex groupings and hierarchies. You can nest a sequence into another having a different timebase, frame size, and pixel aspect ratio settings. A nested sequence appears as a single, linked video/audio clip, even though its source sequence can contain numerous video and audio tracks.
Avid Media Composer describes nesting as:
    Page 299 - http://dms.sjmc.umn.edu/Equipment_Guides/Avid_Guides/MCBasicsGuide.pdf
Nesting involves stepping into existing tracks to reveal added layers for combining multiple images and digital video effects. When the effect is applied, you can step out to view and render the effect as one segment on the track. You can nest up to 24 additional tracks within each track.
A subsequence is creating a smaller sequence from another and is independant of the master sequence.
Avid Media Composer explains a subsequence as:
    Page 247 - http://dms.sjmc.umn.edu/Equipment_Guides/Avid_Guides/MCBasicsGuide.pdf
You can use IN and OUT marks to create a new, shorter sequence from an existing sequence. This subsequence becomes an independent sequence and you can edit it in the same way you edit any other sequence.
Adobe Premiere Pro does not have a subsequence ability. But it has subclip ability.
Adobe Premiere Pro explains a sub clip as:
    Page 235 - http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/premiere_pro_reference.pdf
Subclip A section of a master clip that references the master clip’s media file. Use subclips to reference discreet sections of long master clips. (See Creating subclips.)
Avid Media Composer explains a sub clip as:
    Page 245 - http://dms.sjmc.umn.edu/Equipment_Guides/Avid_Guides/MCBasicsGuide.pdf
When you mark footage with IN and OUT points, either you can save the entire clip along with the new marks, or you can create subclips based on the marks you set to break up longer master clips into smaller segments of selected footage. This procedure is similar to creating a pull reel of the selects or circle takes of your best footage before editing.
Subclips do not directly reference the original media. Subclips remain linked to the master clips from which they are created, and the master clips, in turn, reference the captured media files located on your media drives. As a result, none of the original footage is lost.
Nesting is not subsequencing. Subsequences (within Avid) act the same way subclips behave within both Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer. My original questions was if Adobe Premiere allows your to make a subsequence - and after much discussion, no it does not.
The solution to subsequencing in Adobe Premiere:
I want to basically make a duplicate of my sequence but not of the whole sequence, only a small part.
To achieve this it's easier to mark IN and OUT on the part of the sequence you want and LIFT/EXTRACT/COPY and then create a new sequence and INSERT/OVERWITE/PASTE as Adobe Premiere stores all LIFTS/EXTRACTS in the clipboard (as does copy) into a new sequence.
    Or as Jim stated above,
There's no direct analogy in PP, but you can load a Sequence into the Source Monitor and select portions of it that way.  You can then add that portion to a new Sequence either as a single 'clip' (nested sequence), or retaining all the individual clips of the original.

Portal Master-detail form how to auto assign detail record sequence number. Please help me?

You can just read the following section
Can I specify a sequence number generator as the default value for a form column?
Yes. Enter the following in the "default value" field for the column:
    #<schema name>.<sequence name>.nextval
where <schema name> is the name of the schema containing the sequence, and <sequence name> is the name of the sequence. The entry is preceded by a "#".
For example, if the schema name is "SCOTT", and the sequence name is "CUSTOMER_SEQ", the default value entry is:

  • Copy and Paste section of a sequence...

Is it possible to copy a section of a sequence, including all tracks, transitions, and effects contained therein, and paste it into another sequence? In other words, perhaps by setting IN and OUT points in the Program Monitor, copying that area, and pasting to another sequence. Including all tracks and effects contained therein.

  • How to synchronize objects

    Hi All,
I have a report which shows count of various objects in a report.
These objects are coming from different data providers i.e. Universes and Stored Procedure.
Now, the problem is, report is showing proper count for the objects which are coming from Universes, but its showing wrong count for the objects that are coming from Stored Procedures.
So, anyone has any idea how to synchronize these objects coming from different data providers i.e. Universes and Stored Procedure ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Harshad,
Could you please review the  following simulation if the issue is according to the below mentioned information then test the solution.
    Requirements:
    1. Report X based on two blocks A and B issued from two data providers A and B.
    2. Data provider A based on an stored procedure A providing a dimension A (DimensionA displaying figures with a NUMERIC TYPE).
    Block A
    Column A
    1
    2
    10
    5
    3. Data provider B based on a universe B and a dimension B with a CHARACTER TYPE.
    Block B
    Column B
    8
    9
    11
    25
To synchronize the dimensions A and B the idea is to turn the NUMERIC TYPE of the dimension A into a CHARACTER TYPE as the B one.
As the type of the dimension A cannot be changed within a report, the idea is to export the stored procedure storing the table A and the column A to an Access database as a table A.
Inside Access the column A having a NUMERIC TYPE can be turned into a CHARACTER TYPE.
The following step is to insert into a universe A the table A and its column A to create a dimension A.
Having a CHARACTER TYPE the dimension A can be linked to the data provider B containing the dimension B
    STEPS
    1. Import the table A from stored procedure within an Access database A as table A.
2.Turn the type of the stored procedure numeric field into Access as a CHARACTER TYPE.
    3. Create a universe A based on the access table A.
    4. Open the report X.
    5. Insert a table on the universe A, and select the table A.
    6. Open the micro cube.
    7. Start the synchronization between the objects A and B.
As the objects A and B have the same CHARACTER TYPE. These objects can be successfully synchronized.
I hope this will help you.

  • How to synchronize two pxi ni5112?

Now in my system there are 2 PXI NI5112.Both NI5112 have the same configuration and all their inputs are connected to the same pulse signal source(10Hz).Both NI5112 use analog edge triggering and the trigering source is the channel 0.So all the NI5112s should be trigered at the same time. However, when I fetch the waveform with the function niScope_Fetch from each NI5112 in sequence,I find that the values of wfmInfo.absoluteInitialX vary a lot(10-70ms).why?"
Judging from the last paragraphs On page 2-11 of NI5112 User Manual,PXI NI5112 can be synchronized by the system reference clock. But how to do this?

It will depend on what you are programming the NI 5112 device with.
If you are using LabVIEW, you can use the example program attached below. In it, it will show you how this is done.
If you are using VB, VC++ or CVI, you can look at one of the NI 5112 shipping examples that are installed on your computer. These are located in the VXIPNP folder. For example, the VC++ example would be located here:
    C:\VXIpnp\WinNT\NISCOPE\Examples\c\MStudioC++\5112Sync
These examples will show you how to synchronize the two digitizers.
Let me know if you have any questions about these examples.

  • How to view section after we remove it?

    Hi All,
How to view section after we remove it?
When we add a variable to create a section it shows up.
Now when I removed the section just to not show on the report.
I right click and click remove and in the next pop up screen select NO.
Now I have the section in there but not showing in the report, but when I view in the data tab and map tab it shows up..
My question now if I want to put in the section back in the report, how can I do that..
    Thanks in advance.
    Acer_bo.

    Hi Acer_Bo,
Select the Section and drag the object that you removed and put it at the top of the data block within the section. The Section is just physically removed not Logically.
By viewing the data block you can't figure out on which Object the Section is based,You can see this using by Section properties i.e. under General-> Name Property.
    I Hope this Helps...
    Thanks...

  • FAQ: How do I choose the right sequence settings?

In general, the settings of a sequence should match those of the primary footage type in the sequence. Though Premiere Pro can mix footage of various types in a sequence and compensate for differences in characteristics, performance and quality are maximized when such conversions are avoided.
See this video for more information:
How do I choose the right sequence settings?

Sorry to say this - but you've got the wrong advice from Adobe.
You were right in selecting the profile for Epson premium glossy paper - if that's what you are printing on.
The magenta cast is most probably due to double color management, i.e. color management for your printer was not switched off. You did all the right moves , but still the color management for the printer was not switched off. This seems to be an Epson - Lightroom problem. You are about the fourth poster who has this problem with Lightroom and Epson printers. All of them said that they were sure that they had color management by the Epson printer switched off. There seems to be a hidden setting that prevails or is called by Lr.
The magenta cast is typical for double color management.
Read this - maybe it helps: http://people.csail.mit.edu/ericchan/dp/Epson3800/printworkflow.html#display_calibration
Don't miss the section on  "How to print images from Lightroom".
I don't have an Epson printer so can't give you further insight on this. Except ...
Disable - temporarily - all custom print profiles and templates that you may have created. Move them to a different folder where Lr does not find them. I cannot guarantee that this helps but if the problem persists it might be worth a try.
One of the above mentioned posters said that the problem disappeared after disabling an old print preset that he had created for a prior version of Lr.

  • How to synchronize the FieldPoint time with my computer time?

When I using MAX to read the values from my FieldPoint cFP-1804 module, there is and timestamp generated for every measurement, but it does not match my PC's system time. How to synchronize the FieldPoint time with my windows PC?
I found a thread on the forum regarding this problem (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/C4E56AD6450FC5FD86256DFF0007FF01), it ask me to select the Time Zone on the System Setting tab, but I didn't find any System Setting tab and Time Zone setting in my MAX screen. (MAX version4.4)
I'm using the cFP-1804 without embedded CPU module, I'm using asp.net, measurement studio to link with the cFP-1804, not by using Labview. Does cFP-1804 have a Time Server function? Please tell me how to match the FieldPoint time with my PC.
    Thanks

    Hi Presario2100,
In order to obtain an updated timestamp with each FieldPoint Read, you should
use a Flat Sequence structure.  In the same frame as the
FieldPoint Read, use a Get Date/Time In
    Seconds node.
The program obtains a fresh Timestamp each time the FieldPoint Read VI is
    called.
    I hope this helps.
