How to use additional libraries in a project

I am trying to call an existing EJB from page bean. And for the life of me, I can not figure out how to add additional libraries to Creator project.
Is it supported at this stage?

Right click on the References node in the project navigator and select: Add New Library Reference. In the subsequent dialog, specify the path to the jar file you wish to include. This library will be automatically added to the application classpath at design time and deployed with the application when you run the project.

  • NoClassDefinitionFoundException when using additional libraries

    I run an applet that has it's classes packaged in a jar file. Since I use additional libraries, that I added to this jar file, running the applet causes a NoClassDefinitionFoundException. The applet can't find the libraries it needs. I created the jar with eclipse's "export as jar", my eclipse-project has the additional libraries in it's build path as external jars. Why can't the applet find them though they are in the archive-jar-file? Where do I have to put them or what do I have to do to make the applet find them?

    If you're doing stuff with applets then I think all the classes have to be packaged in the same jar. A jar inside a jar might work, but I haven't tried it.

    Hi,
    My jar files consists only java classes and a manifest.mf. The files are compiled using jdk 1.4.2-b28.  Will this be any issue?
    It seems that if I ignore the error and continue step 7 which is to do deployment of the ear, the error given is
    Cannot update it.
    Caused by: com.sap.engine.library.bytecode.cf.CFException: Invalid constant pool tag, 60 at index 41.
    Does anyone know what that mean?
    Is there any sample that teach how to deploy external libraries as bundled library?
    Thanks.

  • How to use two libraries on two different pc

    I have a MAcBook Pro and a Windows XP Pro with both itunes 7 installed on each.
    How can I share my songs with both libraries without resetting the ipod. We hav three ipod (2-nano (2 Gigs) and one video 60 gigs.)
    In my family we are three who sharing songs.
    Thank's for your answer.

    Probably the easiest way to use an iPod on both Mac and Windows computers is to format the iPod (using iPod Updater) using the PC. This will force your iPod to use the Windows file system (FAT32) which both the Mac and PC can read from and write to without the help of additional software. Of course then all your software updates for the iPod will have to be done on Windows.
    If you need to use a Mac (HFS+) formatted iPod on a Windows PC, you'll need to install some 3rd party software such as XPlay 2.0 (which you can get from MediaFour Software). This will enable your Windows PC to read a Mac-formatted iPod.
    You also need to set the iPod to manual transfer.

  • How to use multiple events on one project?

    I want to make a show reel, this obviously involves using various events.
    I'm worried if I do this the whole file system will be a mess. Surely I should be sopying any files I want to use into the new showreel folder?
    How can i do this?
    Or is using various events ok?
    Hope someone ca recomend the best way forward

    You can edit from any event into the project. There is no need to copy the clips into a new event. When you're done you can archive the used clips into a new event.

    Here is how:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/ext/
    It is called "Extension Mechanism" and simply put, it let's you add your extension libraries (jar files) in the "ext" directory of your installation of JRE or SDK, and they become available to all java programs without caring of other configurations (like setting the CLASSPATH variable or the like...)

  • How to use external libraries and JAR files with OpenScript

    Hello.
    I am trying to include ApachePOI, JODATime, and Javamail in my scripts to handle different aspects of our automated performance tests.
    I followed the documentation for Eclipse to be allowed to utilize these external libraries, however, when I attempt to run my tests the classes and methods that are being imported, show up with errors saying that they do not exist.
    I think perhaps that I am using them incorrectly. I cannot see them as script assets, package assets, or project assets using the properties for these items. An error pops up and says those screens are not displaying correctly or display incorrect information.
    If anyone can provide guidance on using these items, that would be great. Right now I'm trying to include them as "previously exported scripts" but I'm not sure that method will work.
    Any advice is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Tiff
    For OpenScript 9.* there is an out of the box solution for that, all you need to do in OpenScript go to:
    Script -> Script Properties -> Script Assets -> Add -> jar File ....
    And that is it.

  • Using external libraries with Actionscript Project

    Hi,
    I've hit a bit of a brick wall trying to do something that I figured would be a relatively simple task. I'm working on multiple projects and I'm trying to build a number of SWC libraries shared between a number of Actionscript projects using Flash Builder 4. The projects using the SWC's build just fine, but yield this error when run:
    VerifyError: Error #1014: Class <whatever> could not be found.
    Here's a simple example:
    1) Create a new library project.
    2) Add a new Actionscript file in the "testpackage" package.
    3) Slap this code into that file:
    package testpackage
        public class stuff
            public function Testing():void
                trace("Oh yeah!");
    4) Create a new Actionscript Project named Launcher
    5) In "Properties->Actionscript Build Path", hit "Add SWC Folder" and browse to wherever the library project gets built to.
    6) In the AS file that's generated, add code something like:
    package
        import flash.display.Sprite;
        import testpackage.*;
        public class Launcher extends Sprite
            public function Launcher()
                var s:stuff = new stuff();
                s.Testing();
    7) Run this bad boy.
    I get the above error and I have no idea why. Everything builds fine so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I read somewhere that you can manually extract the .swf file from the generated .swc and load that explicitely in code. This is a pretty horrible workflow and I hope it's not the answer
    Thanks a ton in advance!
    -D

    Check  linkage type in Build Path for project Launcher when you add Swc folder. It has to be merged into code.
    If it is external, you'll see this error.
    That aside, why not do "add project" instead of "add swc folder"?
