HP's support, even with a warranty, is USELESS: do not buy a printer from this company!

I just purchased an Officeject Pro 8600 N911g with a 2 year warranty.  It works fine with my PC via wireless router.  It does not work with my laptop (windows 7).  I was able to print one thing but the next time and ever since, the printer is offline.  I have tried all the online suggestions with no result. 
Then I tried to get some help via online chat.  The HP website is set up so that it is impossible to use the chat function.  When you select chat, it takes you to a warranty check page.  I did this, it found that the printer is under warranty and then... gave me the choice of going to HP online help or community.  I wanted to get help via chat so selected chat and, guess what, it took me right back to the warranty check page.  Perfect system for preventing anyone from annoying them!
Left with no choice but to call, I dialed the help number.  After several minutes talking to a computer, providing information I had already input online, I get to a human being.  Unfortunatly, the human being was a poor Mexican woman who wasn't fluent in English.  She kept saying, "how can I direct your call" over and over again.  As politely as I could, I explained the problem but she (or perhaps there were several in rotation) kept asking me over and over the same question.  Then I asked to speak to someone else, to a supervisor.  She said yes, put me on hold, and after 5 minutes, I was disconnected. 
I purchased a new Dell monitor recently and had an exceptionally good experience with their support team in India.  I'm going to return the printer and go shopping at Dell or another company other than HP.  Now I'm going to go find other online forums where I can trash HP for stealing my money and wasting my time.

I have been having a problem with my 800w and by Motorola H500. When I set up the Bluetooth connection on my phone it looks like its all set and connected. When I make or receive a call it either:
- goes to the headset and have no issues
- goes to the headset but the phone drops the Bluetooth connection during the call and I have to pick the phone up to keep the call going
- it does not go to the headset at all
I talked to Palm tech and they claim it is an issue with my Bluetooth headset. I tried the headset with my other phone and had not issue. I have been thru several hard and soft resets and it did not solve the issue.
2.
I'm using Yahoo and Hotmail e-mails on my Palm. No sent e-mails are being saved in the Sent Items folder even that all options are checked on my phone.
3.
Battery won't last. I fully charged it last night. I did not make any calls and only sent one e-mail. I did not use any other application. The phone is on the charger right now as the battery was completly depleted.
Hard reset did not help with any of these issues.

    Hello over there!
    I just bought the full CC abo, after trying PS and Indesign and becoming a fan of the new workflow, that is possible with the upcoming new CC Apps (Muse, Edge Tools...).
    Now, after getting things right and downloading the needed Apps to my Macbook Pro (15" Retina) - I was very disappointed. The updated CC version of Dreamweaver and even some of the completely new Apps still have blurry text fields and buttons/layout graphics in it. Acrobat Pro XI is still a laggy, blurry fail on retina. The Mac OS Preview is sharp and scrolls a 600 pages PDF in seconds.
    I mean... Srsly? This would be okay if the retina MBP came out last month. But it came last year. I'm really a big fan of the Adobe workflow and functionality, this is why I upgraded and decided to spend some hundreds of dollars for it ( and become friends with the new and scary rent model ). But the best program is a pain, when your eyes start being overly stressed after 20 minutes of work, especially when you're already looking at hundres of code lines (And I'm 21 years old, so I'm glad to still have those good working eyes..). I remember when I fell totally in love with Dreamweaver because it was able to handle the amount of information in a good stucturized and clearly visible way. But the only really sharp and "look like it fits all together"-Apps are PS, AI and ID as far as I tried for now.
    Definitely affected are: DW, Muse, Edge Animate and Reflow (What? They are new!?)
    So, thats my question: Are there any official statements that this will be fixed? Im confused because Adobe is just partying about the retina-compatibility updates last fall/winter in blogs and descriptions. The blurry App elements are not mentioned. I really want to know this, to be able to take back my contract and abo in time and get a refund. Would be sad, but the only option to me.
    Thanks very much for reading and helping in advance. I really do not want to troll or sound agressive. The Adobe Suite is a very very big product and it does very good. But I'm simply disappointed about the handling of retina support, which is essential for users like me.

    thank you for your effort. If I remember correctly you said you’ll also hand through this issue/question to the tech guys. Does this mean I’ll get further information? Because this article you found is about 10 month old and I’d like to get this issue verified.
    Furthermore, Acrobat (XI) is not even mentioned in that article and this is what brings the most problems.
    I really don’t like to be a stressing customer, but I think a official answer to this issue is definitely possible und should be made.
    I’ll attach a few hardcopy pictures of the issue. Don’t know if it helps, but it proofs.

I recently had a serious computer crash, and needed to get all contents erased. The support provider didn't have my product key, so could not reinstall Acrobat Pro for me. Since then, I have gotten the product key sent to me from my former employer, [ REMOVED ] So I need help in re-downloading, installing and activating the Acrobat Pro software on this computer.

    Please remove the S/N immediately (I can't or would). Never post them online. As for download you can go to http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html on the right panel to get 9 pro. I am not sure there is a MAC version there, but that is the first place to go. If it is the proper version, then please back it up to CD and/or portable HD, not the system HD.

  • I am using Aperture 3 to edit RAW and JPEG photo images on my Macbook.  I am having color printing issues with my Canon MP640 Pixma color printer.  The image I see on my macbook is not reciprocated in printing from my printer?

    My issue is that I am not getting print quality compared to the image I see on my screen.  Just recently it has been very wishie washie.  My printer is supposed to be excellent for producing color prints
    I have contacted Canon support but they told me that the signals that are sent to the printer originate from an Apple product, therefore, it is an Apple mac problem not there's.  I am wondering if my on screen proofing and/or printing profiles are correctly set.  I notice that in 'print profiles' there are nine different options for printing from my particular printer.  How confusing is that? 
    I have also found that when I choose a high standard print option my photo print comes out very red. 
    Can some kind person please help me?  I don't seem to be getting any help from anyone else!  Thanks in anticipation.

    You didn't mention any color calibration being done on your monitor.  This is an essential part of any color-correct workflow.  What are you using to calibrate your monitor (and your printer)?
    Print profiles (for soft-proofing as well as printing) are for specific combinations of paper & printer.  The nine you have are each, most likely, for a common paper (perhaps mfr'd by Canon) to be used with your printer.
    I don't know what you mean when you say "I choose a high standard print option".
    Have you read the User Manual chapter on printing?

    Sony RX2 is supported in ACR7.2 and higher whereas PSE10 can go as high as ACR6.3
    Thus you wont be able to open your raw files directly into ACR. You might want to download DNG convertor(version 7.2 or higher) and use it to convert your raw files to a different raw format (.dng) which is supported by all ACR versions.

    I do not know if my printer has airprint. When I select printer from my iPad it says no printer found. It is a wireless printer and we currently can use it with our desktop Mac. Any help appreciated.

  • Folder mapping with Unix XI box / XI is not pulling the file from folder

    We have installed XI on Unix box. We have developed a test scenario using file adapter and tested the mapping program. it's executing successfully. Problem is after completion of configuration XI server is not pulling the file from the assigned folder. I think we need to map that network driver with the XI server. Hope my assumption is correct if not correct me and please help me to resolve the problem.

    Well, I had the same problem once but I don't remember exatcly the solution...
    I am pretty sure it's a post-installation activity (search in SDN or marketplace for the relevant Guide).

    One suggestion worked from the Firefox prints incorrectly link mentioned above by mha007. I'm thrilled since this has been annoying me for weeks. Thanks mha007!
    Reset all Firefox printer settings
    # Open your profile folder:
    # On the menu bar, click on the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
    # Under the Application Basics section, click on Show in Finder. A window with your profile folder will open.
    # Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox.
    # On the menu bar, click on the Firefox menu and select Quit Firefox.
    # In your profile folder, copy the prefs.js file to another folder to make a backup of it.
    # Open the original prefs.js file in a text editor (such as TextEdit).
    # Remove all lines in prefs.js that start with print. and save the file.
    # If something goes wrong when you open Firefox, close it again and overwrite prefs.js with the backup you made.

    First which you need to check, is your printer is working Offline on your computer. In this case you need to Re-map your Printer on your Computers back again. First check if you have any Firewall or Antivurs Installed on your computer try to disable it and check if you are able to print from your computer. If not then try to Remap the printer on your computer.
    Go to Network connections window and if you are able to see your computer name on which the printer is installed, then right click on the Printer and click on "Connect" or "MAP" once done you will be able to print from your computer. 
    Note down the IP address of the Computer on which you have Installed the Printer. (Click on Start - Run - CMD and click Ok, now in the command prompt type "ipconfig" and note down the Ip address, Then go to your other computer and Click on Start - Run - CMD and click Ok and now in the Command prompt type "ping (IP address of your main computer) and hit enter and check if you are getting any replies. If yes, then again click on "Start - Run - type ( \\ip address of your main computer) and click Ok, and now you will be able to see your printer name then right click on it and click on "Connect" or Map, once done, now check if you are able to print from your computer.

    If you haven't already, I would recommend that you download and install the very latest OS X drivers for this printer from the manufacturer's support site.

    I'm successfully using it with OS X 10.6.7 and 10.6.8 and an iPad 2 using iOS 4.3.1 to a USB-connected HP LaserJet 1320 and a WiFi-connected Canon MP560.
    Note that with this modification, your Mac must be on and awake for iPad printing to occur.
    Others in the Support Communities use iPad printing apps such as Printopia. I've found that this tweak meets my needs, so I haven't tried any other apps.  Also check for an HP app for your printer, and make certain that your printer has the latest firmware installed.

    iphoto 9.6 on yosemite is deleting all of the pics from the former library, iphoto 9.6 can't share with Facebook despite that it is oke with the account. no sharing with iMessage and no sharing with iCloud possible the choices stay grey. also print orders are not possible it's stay also grey.

    here is one
    I had the same issue, email, iMessage, Facebook,etc.. plus print all greyed out. I went up to the File menu, clicked on the Switch to Library drop down. Since I only have one library it was already selected, hit choose and all of the functions work again. Seems the system wasn't acknowledging my original library once I updated to Yosemite or 9.6. Either way, it works now.
    If that does not work here is another suggestion
    Try repair permissions with Disk Utility.
