HP solution center says my offecejet pro L7680 is disconnected

 yet I can print from my Pavilion pro L7680, However I cannot scan. Running windows 7 over home wifi which has been working well for a long long time.

You can try to uninstall and re-install the software and driver. Some kind of way, the Solution Center may have been corrupted. 
Do you still have the CD for it? If not, you can download the FULL FEATURE drivers and software.

    My Lenovo solution Center says that i shall contact the support.
    I hope somebody can help me here with my problem. 
    It's definitly the harddrive. But what is the problem? How serious?

    Hi,
    Do you have an mSATA or other SSD in your T520 along with the HDD?  Did you get the error during a full machine scan?  If so, try running the scan on the HDD alone w/out running a full scan.

  • Officejet pro 8500 a909g wireless will not open solution center saying device install not complete

    Operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.  When I try to open Solution Center I get a black window saying "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete."  My printer is wireless so there is no USB so I unplugged the printer, removed the printer, rebooted, went to Print Server Properties then Driver and removed the driver still there.  Then I downloaded the HP Full Software and Driver for my printer and got a "successful install".  Then I plugged the printer in, added the printer, and still have the same error.  Any suggestions?

    What brand of computer do you have?  I'm asking because I think you need a L3 uninstall, but if you have an HP computer, it can remove things the computer needs to run and cause the whole system to crash.

    I have downloaded the full driver for my HP Officejet Pro L7780 printer trying to get the HP Solution Center so that my printer will be able to scan.  It didn't help.  Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

    I saw your post about the issue you are having with your installation and would like to help where I can.
    1. Perform a Level 3 Uninstall using this HP Officejet Software and Driver Removal Utility. (uninstall_L3)
    2. After the computer restarts, reinstall the printer by using the same driver you posted above.

    I see by your post that you would like to know if there is a HP Solution Software which you can run on Windows 7.
    I can help you with this issue.
    The Windows 7 drivers are preinstalled Windows drivers. Unfortunately there isn't a Full Software driver to download.
    I have provided a download the for the HP Toolbox that will work with Windows 7, which provides status and maintenance information about the printer. HP Toolbox. You may check it out.

  • C7280 can print but solution center says install incomplete and I cannot scan

    I have a photosmart c7280 that is connected to a wireless network. I purchased a new computer running windows 7 64 bit system. Install of printer went fine and everything was working. Now when I go to the HP solution center it says the install was incomplete. When I try to scan a document in either windows live essentials or windows fax and scan neither program can find the device. I was able to use the solution center and scan a document yesterday.
    I can still print and access the printer on the network. I even performed a webscan. Why does solution center now not work when it previously worked and why am I unable to find the device when I want to scan using other software.

  • Wireless 6500 - Solution Center says Disconnected

    I cannot get a Word or Excel report to print, but if I clcik on Network Settings it says Ready there.  And if I click on Print a Printer Startus Report it prints a report.

    Now I am really confused.  It is printng from Notepad, Word, Excel.  But Device Information says Device Needs Attention.  When it would not print it was saying the Device was OK.
    And the Solution Center still says "HP Officejet 6500 E709n Series Discinnected"

  • Lenovo Solution Center says Windows Update needed Windows 10

    Thanks for your help, I have the Lenovo B50-30 AIO and recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Everything seemed to go flawlessly with the exception of one small problem. I am constantly being nagged by the Lenovo Solution Center to Update my Operating System. When I run Windows update, it says 'No Available Updates', yet LSC still nags me with that screen. When I go into LSC and click on the Launch button to fix the problem, nothing happens. Is this a problem with LSC or is there something that I am doing wrong?

    I've shared this conversation with our LSC development team and here is how I understand the siutation...
    LSC 2.8 was tested with Windows 10, but this situation occurs because Windows 10 does not fill in the update date after the OS install.   After 1 day, and the date changes, the symptoms should go away. 
    We are working on improving this in the next version fo LSC 3.1 which is a few weeks away...

    Speedwell, I've also noted the launch button issues with the team to re-test and make sure works properly.  
    Update 8/5/15 - confirmed launch button issue on 2.8.5 and lower.  This is going to be addressed in a new version.
    An interrim support tip is being released on our support site to explain the work around:
    1) Navigate to taskbar
    2) Type "Windows update" in teh search the web and windows field
    3) Select "Check for Updates" at the top of the search results
    4) The Windows update will appear
    5) Select check for updates button
     Apologies that this did not work as intended, and I appreciate your patience as we release an updated version.

    OK, well, it looks happy, huh?
    At this point I would go to Start > All Programs > Hewlett-Packard > [your printer model] > Uninstall and uninstall all of the HP software.
    Restart your PC.
    Get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page and install it, choosing a "Network" installation type when it asks.

  • Thinkpad S1, solution center says I have a bad battery do I need a new one?

    The machine is eight months old so I think it should be a warranty issue but it still has 50% capacity.

    i also want to note that i use battery defender so that i dont have any data or wifi on while my screen is off. and probably around 80-90% of the data i use is via wifi, not 4G. and even while i was at work today, where i only used my phone on my lunch break(FB, and chrome. No games at all), my battery drained about 20%. I am extremely disappointed with this device's battery right now.

    I have a problem. I have the Solution Center and a HP Office Jet J4550 and windows 7 (64bit). When ever I open the solution center, the solution center says " HP office jet J4550 series disconnected" When I open HP document manager, I can access the printer.  Additionally, when I run the HP Print Diagnostic Utility 4.0, it sees the printer, no issues. I can print test pages. No issues. I downloaded the latest driver from the HP site (OJJ4500_Full_13, 299,359KB) Your insight is appreciated.

    I have a similar problem with the J4580 and my new Windows 7 64-bit laptop.  HP Solution Center says that the printer is disconnected.  Furthermore, it can print some documents (short ones), but it was unable to print a 1-page 5MB pdf file.  The printer truncated the page after printing just the top 10%.   The printer is OK with my wife's Windows 7 32-bit laptop.
    I've seen many other people complain about similar problems in this and other forums.  Apparently the driver for J4500 printers is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.  Can HP please provide an updated driver or patch?

  • C7250 All in One "Disconnected" error when trying to use Solution Center

    This C7250 All in One is connected via USB to our home desktop, and we also connect wirelessly when using laptops. From my laptop when printing from various programs or e-mail the printer works fine. However, when I open Solution Center to attempt scanning or managing documents Solution Center says "Printer Disconnected" and will any functions through this program. Any ideas?

    I got this resolved by myself. I have used a static text in my report with html code. HTML code contains &nbsp for space. And the issue was that I did not terminate &nbsp with a semicolon. That caused the error.
    Solution: If you are using html for leaving space between sentences, then always terminate like this -

    After teh Windows Update on November 16th ... The soltuions center display a critical error syaing theat my Windows was never updated !?! Any other having this bug ? I wonder what prevents my Solution Center software from reading the update history !!! ...

    I see you're having issues getting the Solution Center to work with your new Windows 8.1 laptop. I'm sorry to hear this, but with a bit more information I'd be happy to lend a helping hand
    1. What model HP printer do you have?
    2. Is the printer connected via USB or wireless?
    3. Are you able to run the scan even though the Solution Center says the printer is disconnected? (I only ask because I've seen it many times!)
    4. Have you tried downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor yet? If not, please try that and let me know what it has to say! If it fails anywhere, just let me know where it fails.
    5. Did you install the printer using a download?
    Once I have this information I will certainly do my best to have a deeper look into things!

  • Lenovo Solution Center problem

    Hi,
    I have G780 and roughly 3 weeks ago every time I start my computer a small pop-out window from Solution Center appears saying the following: "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the `SolutionCenter' disk and click OK." and at the bottom of that window is "Use source: 1" There's also another smaller window behind it which is also from Solution center saying: "Please wait while Windows configures SolutionCenter" - it is an installer window.
    Well, so that was a description of the problem, the funny thing is that the Solution Center which I have on my laptop was pre-installed and it works perfectly, I've updated it to the latest version 1.1.011 but it didn't solve the problem, every time after windows is loaded, those two windows appears and I just have to cancel whole installation process to keep continue my work. I am suspicious of the idea that it started after some windows update, but I'm not sure...

  • Lenovo B590 Solution Center Message

    Hello,
      I received a message from my Lenovo Solution Center saying that my "last Windows Update occured more than 30 days ago". When I click 'Launch' to fix it, the Windows Update window opens, but there are no 'Important Updates' available. There are about 8 'Optional Updates' available, but I'm not sure as to what I should do? It says this is 'Non-Critical', but I'd prefer to keep everything operating 100% on my computer.
      Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
      If the system shows that it does not have a Windows Update Available then this means that the system is up to date.
    The Solution Center is trying to base the Notification through the date when you last do a Windows update.
    You can try Uninstalling the Solution Center and Installing a New Copy
      or
    You can select to Terminate the Notification through the Solution Center Settings
