HR Integration with CRM doesn't create employee in CRM

We are using SAP CRM 5.0 SP08 and SAP ECC 6.0. I am trying to setup the HR-CRM integration and did everything that must be done in my opinion. The IDOC is created succesfully from the ERP side via PFAL and BD87 in CRM shows "green" status records for the IDOC but no business partner is created. I read the blog /people/vikash.krishna/blog/2006/10/15/replicating-hr-master-data-part-1 , examined the SAP notes 934372, 312090, 550055 but there is no result. May you please help me in solving the problem?

Did you follow all the following steps
Setting up Transfer of Employee (HR Master) from R/3 to CRM
1. Logical system XXX assigned to R/3 client XXX. Logical system YYY assigned to CRM client YYY view through SCC4
2. Create RFC Destination YYY for CRM client YYY in R/3 and
Server ID with user details and client YYY.
3. Transaction code SALE : Application Link Enabling (ALE)  Modelling and Implementing Business Processes  Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views. (Direct transaction code : BD64)
Go to change mode and select Create Model view.
You get a popup. Fill in the details Technical name, short text and validity
Select Add message type from the application tool bar.
Fill in the following details
Model view : HRCRM
Sender logical system : XXX
Receiver logical system : YYY
Message type : HRMD_ABA
Note : Only this message type works for employee transfer.
4.Save the model. From the same screen select the distribution model and from the menu Environment  Generate partner profiles
Dont change anything in the next screen. Simply Execute.
4.Distribute the distribution model HRCRM
Select the distribution model. From the menu bar, Edit  Model View  Distribute
You get a dialog showing the receiver logical system. Execute.
You get a log Model view HRCRM has been created in target system YYY
5.Go to the CRM system and check up whether this model has been created.
Transaction code BD64
The model has got copied. No changes can be made in CRM
6. Generate partner profiles for the distribution model in CRM by selecting
Environment  Generate partner profiles.
In the next screen, do not make any changes and Execute.
Partner profiles can be seen in transaction WE20
<b>Delta Download Settings</b>
7. So far, the above settings will ensure the initial download. However for any changes / new employees to be transferred, i.e delta changes, changes pointers need to be activated.
In R/3, Transaction code SALE, Application Link Enabling (ALE)  Modelling and Implementing Business Processes  Master Data Distribution  Replication of Modified Data  Activate Change Pointers Generally (BD61)
This activates change pointers globally for all message types.
8. In R/3, Transaction code SALE, Application Link Enabling (ALE)  Modelling and Implementing Business Processes  Master Data Distribution  Replication of Modified Data  Activate Change Pointers for Message Types
Activate change pointer for message type HRMD_ABA
9. CRM : Number Assignments. Generally, there are 3 types of number assignments (also called switches) when business partners are created.
1 The system uses the number from the general internal interval of the number
range object BU_PARTNER
2 The system uses the number from a specific internal interval of the object
3 The number is transferred from HR and a prefix is added. In this case, a specific external interval, which must be defined as XX00000000 (upto
XX99999999), is used (where XX denotes any two letters).
The number range object for all switch positions is BU_PARTNER, with the interval depending on the switch value.
For switch value 1, the system uses the internal standard interval, otherwise for switch values 2 and 3 you must also create a grouping (transaction BUC2) for these intervals. For the system to be able to connect the grouping and the number range interval, the name of the grouping must be exactly the same as the name of the corresponding number range interval (the name of the grouping is contained in the first column of the table). If you select 3 (HRALX/PNUMB = 3) for the number assignment of busienss partners of the employee role, create HRALX/PSUBG switch manually in table T77S0.
In table T77S0, HRALX/ONUMB is used to set the number assignment for organizational units and HRALX/PNUMB is used to set the number assignment for employees.
Create a number range ZZ
Transaction code BUC2. Create a grouping of the same ID as that of the number range. Eg. Number range ID : ZZ and grouping ID should also be ZZ
In table T77S0, maintain the following combinations
HRALX-PNUMB = 2
HRALX-PSUBG = ZZ
10. Make the following customizing changes in CRM

11. Create Employee Master in R/3. Employee master consists of Infotypes. The mandatory infotypes are Actions, Address, Personal data and Organizational Assignment.
Transaction code : PA30
12. In R/3 Initial Download : SE38 RHALEINI
Plan version : 01
Object type : P Person (always)
Object ID : Employee ID eg. 1
Receiver Partner no. : YYY
Select further details
You get all the data transfer details
13. In CRM, transaction code PP01 View HR Master objects
You see that the employee 1 has got transferred. To see the corresponding business partner go to the infotype Relationships (the first row)
Screen 2 gives you the business partner ID in CRM
14. Now change the employee master in R/3. Execute program RBDMIDOC in R/3 to send the changes over to CRM
Put message type HRMD_ABA and Execute
15. All subsequent changes in R/3, i.e changing an existing Master or creating a new one goes through directly by program RBDMIDOC.
16. After all employees are transferred to CRM from R/3 only then its safe to execute initial download CUSTOMER_REL
If an Employee responsible 2 is replaced by 3 in the customer master in R/3, then in CRM, the same is not replaced. Only difference that the sales area assignment is no longer there for the replaced employee in transaction BP relationships.

The client does not want batch input . The yob has to be done with BAPI.

If you click on Edit button of Employee details Assignment Block you can enter the email Id and phone number. I am wondering if you have tried this or not. Also if you maintain the same backend with Tx- BP this will reflect in Web UI as well.
I did not get your 2nd question.
But let me try to explain:
You will create Organization, under which you will be assigning different positions and to each position you will have to assign a Business partner, may it be an user (Holder) or Busines Partner.
You can assign as user to Business Partner with role employee under the Identification tab.

Problem while working with Store Manager (while Creating Employee) on VISTA

Is anyone workin on Windows Vista (for the Store Manager)?
I am using Vista for the said application but the system always hangs whenever I try to create a new employee with Store Manager. Can anyone help me out with any solution so that it doesn't hang ?
The steps I am following is as follows-
1. Go to Store Manager GUI > Administartion > Employee Maintenance.
2. Click on the Create new.
3. Key in the entries.
4. Here the p'lem comes into picture.
5. When I try to switch over to next entry the system hangs.
Please help me out.

From your description, you fail to set up SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability group in Windows Server 2008 R2 cluster. The error 41105 could be caused by several factors, such as insufficient account permissions and so on.
To resolve this issue, firstly, I recommend you check the prerequisites, restrictions, and recommendations for AlwaysOn Availability Groups according to this
article.
Secondly, as the error message indicates, please disable the AlwaysOn feature in SQL Configuration Manage on both nodes, restart the SQL Server service. Then enable the AlwaysOn feature and restart the SQL Service again. This time set up AlwaysOn Availability
Groups again and please note the following things.
1. Ensure that the AvailabilityGroup name is defined as a different one from your Windows Cluster name.
2. Make sure that SQL Server service account has full control permission on the Window Cluster, which is described in this
blog.
However, if the error persists, please post the SQL Server error log for analysis. Additionally, if you encounters any errors when configuring Windows Cluster, I recommend you post the question in the Windows

Edit with plugin doesn't create new version?
I am editing a photo using some plugins. I use the first plugin and when I save it, a new version (or master) is created in TIFF format. Immediately after I run another Plugin on the TIFF just created with the 1st plugin. But this time no new version (master) is created. Hence, If I decide that I don't want to keep the effects, I need to start the whole process over.
Is this normal behavior?
If I try to create a new version from the TIFF, I end up with a TIFF Version 2 and then another version of TIFF Version 2 that has been edited through the second plugin.There has been some discussion about this question not long ago. The behaviour you describe is normal.

Transaction to create employees
Hi Everybody,
I cannot find again a transaction Ive found to create employees in CRM.
To create a business partner with the role employee we normally use the transaction BP. Recently I found another transaction to enter direct an employee. The screen was similar to the BP just that the default value was already on create employee.
Has anyone of you an idea which transaction this could be?

Install EasyDMS software available freely from sap market place. It is MS explorer integration with sap. After creating document record in it, just select the file which you can send it to MS Outllook as similar as you do to send file from MS explorer to MS outlook.

We have a requirement to be able to transfer an HR Org structure holding permanent "Employees" into CRM but we require that for contract/casual employees not to be entered into HR but staight into CRM. The problem is that once CRM has been set up to exchange the HR Org model then BP's of type Employee are no longer available to be created in CRM.

MS Word integration with SAP CRM: can a PDF be created from the MS Word doc

I know have a better understanding of the topic but still have 2 open questions.
I now know that StreamServe cannot read .DOC files but can read and work with .PDF files.
Since we are in a SAP forum and not a StreamServe forum,
1/ I am wondering if SAP CRM 2007 can convert the MS Word generated and populated documents into .PDF. Possibly immediatly.
2/ Can the MS Word generated and populated documents be saved by SAP CRM 2007 as .XML files?

On my project, there is a requirement to generate ad-hoc and amendable letters in CRM (2007).
We might have +150 letters so I am thinking about using MS Word integration with SAP CRM to deliver this.
With SAP CRM 2007, I understand that it is indeed possible to generate WebServices that will then be consumed by Word templates through the mail merge functionality. So agents will not have to enter BP name, address and so on. All this can be done by configuration which is great.
My point of concern is how to integrate this design to StreamServe for printing purpose (we do not want to go into local printing)
Can StreamServe collects the Word generated document?
Should this Word document be converted as PDF before or can StreamServe do it?
Should StreamServe exploits the XML contents within the Word generated document?

I upload an XML-Format template Word Doc to server as a MIME Object.
When OfficeControl is started in Web Dynpro, OfficeControl automatically open the XML-Format template.
For the first time, I get the XString-type Context attribute bind to the content of the Word Doc,
then translate it to string, I got the XML-format content, it's great!
However, after the first time, when I input any new contents in MS Word in Web Dynpro,
no matter I execute "Ctrl + S" or click the "savedocument" button,
when I translate the XString Context attribute to String, I got messy code. (but the first time, it is good plain text)
I use the function module: ECATT_CONV_XSTRING_TO_STRING (good for first time, dump after first time),
SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY, SCMS_BINARY_TO_STRING (good for first time, messy code after first time).

ECC 6.0 integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

I am working on a ECC 6.0 integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I need to send the customer master data, va01/va02, vl01n/vl02n/ vf01/vf02 to CRM system. One option I have is to send in the form of IDOC with TRFC - TCP/IP. But looks like this needs a middleware like Biztalk.
Is there a way I can send this data using a Internet service in ECC 6.0 ??? As this would cut the cost of the Biztalk.
I really appriciate your thoughts on this. We don't have XI either.

We have just implemented integarion of SAP with Microsoft stack (Microsoft CRM, Share point and Axapta), But in all integration BizTalk as a middleware used.
There is two way requirements :
1. whenever Most of the control are at the Microsoft level like : Customer creation, Creation of orders, which need to be synchronus activity we have used RFC which internally calls BAPI. (So SAP adapter Configured at BizTalk). and whenever Biztalk receives request file from CRM or share point to there location they call SAP RFC's.
2. When DATA is needed from SAP to microsoft stack like to syncronize the missing transaction like customer pad and all.
Scheduled job at BizTalk end which call SAP to get the DATA via RFC mode :
In SAP we have two things
1. if DATA size is small (below 2 MB) like in last 1 hrs what are the sales contract created in SAP that need to updated in Microsoft other system than Biztalk will trigger a job at 1 hr interval or on deemand to get the detail which directly we pick from data base or using BAPI to get the detail via RFC.
2. If Data Size is large (more than 2 MB) like total transation happened in a day for all customers: then we wriiting the data in OS or application server and that job also get initiated from Biztalk end by sending any parameter to SAP.
advantage of using BizTalk is most of the control you can give it to them so they can run there job on deemand basis.
There is a something known as web service we can use to avoid Interfacing tool, but I dont have much Idea about that,
and please check how many interfacing point is there with SAP in your project, because if Interfacing points are more then I think it is not good to write a web services for so many things.

Scenario: we're on the way to realize the integration between SAP ECC and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online (so...in the cloud) using SAP PI 7.11. In our scenario SAP PI will be the client, consuming webservices provided by MS CRM.
Unfortunately during the PI configuration (following SAP HELP instructions) we're facing the following problems:
1. The system (PI, dual-stack installation) has the parameter 'ssl/pse_provider' set to 'ABAP'. Considering that we would like to use SSL with SOAP adapter, questions are:
- Can we use the ABAP stack to maintain the PSEs, or it's mandatory to do it into the AS Java in order to use SSL with SOAP adapter.
- If so, we need to switch the ssl/pse_provider parameter to JAVA. Could this change create some kind of problems?
For information, currently in transaction STRUST we only have a Local node, neither Server nor Client nodes.
2. We have already installed the SAP Cryptographic Library for SSL but:
- In NWA we can't find ICM_SSL_<instance_ID> view or CLIENT_ICM_SSL_<instance_ID> keystore view into the list of Keystore Views.
- We would like to change the default Profile into RZ10 but we Can't find the profile...
- MS CRM (ws server) give us only a public certificate but do we need a private key too or we have to generate it from SAP?
- We need to know if is possible to use the MS 'LIVEID' authentication with SAP PI or SAP ECC.
- Do we need additional modules for the SOAP adapter(maybe an Axis one in order to use soap protocol 1.2)?
Could you please suggest the right configuration and give us some tips about this kind of integration?

I'm looking for some feedback on how best to integrate Microsoft Dynamics AX (DAX) with SAP CRM. We have a PI server.
From reading on the net, I see many people are using a middleware product called Scribe or BizzTalk. We already made an investment with SAP PI and we'd like to use it.
Do you have any references for Microsoft DAX integration with SAP CRM via SAP PI/ XI?

Computer Telephone integration with CRM
Hi ,
We have a requirement to integrate existing Interactive Voice Response system,Computer Telephone Integration and Automatic Call Distribution with proposed SAP CRM. In order to integrate them we would like to use third party adapters from companies like AMT,SIEMENS,Genesys etc..
1. Does any one has experience in integrating these tools ?
2. Or is there any other better approach for the integration with CRM?

I am vinod, working in Accenture, India. I am a genesys engineer, have little knowledge of SAP CRM.
We made a successfull RFC connection to gplus in sm59, then i tried to create a telephony server in sphb, but this connection test failed. Am i going in the right path, or is there any other way to do this.
Is maintaining telephony server in SPHB mandatory or is there a similar setting in CIC0 configuration?
Can you please let me know how this can be done. Please provide me if you have any documents on this.

VMS Integration with CRM System

Yes, You can create one system object with 3 different "Alias name" so one alias name used on one client ans so on...
In user mapping like
alias name1=Client1
alias name2=Client2
alias name3=Client3

Anybody has ever done the MS CRM integration with OIM.
MY requirement is as follows
User initiates a self service request for the application and may populate some fields like country or primary service line (fields yet to be determined, but assuming the values for each field will be maintained in a lookup field)
First Approval Step: User’s Manager must complete any missing required attributes that the user didn’t fill and must also populate the access level field (values will be something like local, country, regional or global), but again these will be pulled from a lookup field. Manager provides first level approval
Second Approval Step: The owner approves/rejects the approval
Provision the user to the application (notification sent to the user), also, provision user to AD group for the application

Just create an Object form with the fields as per ur requirement and use pre populate adapter to populate these fields.
While creating form fields go to Properties tab and select property Required = true for required fields.
And you can make fields mandatory while creating the form so OIM will validate automatically that whether required fields are filled or not.
Create an Approval Process.
Create two task Approval1 and Approval2 and assign both the tasks to two different approvers.
Go to Approval1 > Responses
Select Approve and below in Task to Generate select Approval2.
You are done with 2nd level of approval. -

Here i will explain teh business senario.
Here my client is doing service on behalf of Actual service Provider(ex: cell repairs, On behalf of Nokia my client dong service for the End customers. warranty ).
So that we creating service order & billing on end customer, but payer will be the brand (nokia) .
so here there is no expence relate transaction are posting. Here we are doing only billing (revenue related transactions). This revenue has to be posted to concern profit ceneter. Where we will give teh profit center integration with CRM Service.
