HR Structure to EBP

Hi experts.
We are planning to setup an EBP System.
Lazy as we are, we want to use the org-structure from SAP HR. In this structure all employees are assigned to their cost center. But this structure is completely without managers.
For approving workflow we need managers and I'm thinking about entering Data for the managers manually.
And now my question:
When Orgstructure from HR is replicated to ebp - just because something has been changed in HR, will the manually entered items disappear, because they are overwritten by the new orgstructure from HR or will they still be there.

Thanks for the answer. I know HR import is not perfect and w have to maintain many data manually in ebp.
But the essential date (e.g. cost center) will be transferred.
Is the HR import via ALE only done once, or does this happen every time in HR data is changed? Or can it be done via job in a defined interval?
And when HR import is done more often, will the import delete data, wich was entered manually like managers and adress data, or will it only update already existing data.
I'm not speaking of deleting costcenters in HR. I think in this case all data of the employees assigned to this costcenter will be deleted in EBP. I'm just thinking about new employess or employees which move from one cost center to another.

RFC function module Structure compatibility

Dear Friends,
I have one funcion module defined in R/3 system which I need to call from my EBP system.
The Function module has importing parameter of the type /ZLCRD/TAX_PROCESSING_DATA, which has been created in R/3.
If I try to create the similar structure in EBP, it says name space does not exist. Any idea about how this would have been created?
Also, if I simply define a structure with the normal z name with exactly same fields, in the same order in EBP system and pass this as the exporting parameter while calling the RFC enabled function module, would that be a problem?

Hi Veena,
Here ZLCRD is the name space. This is like a package in java, in case you are familiar with Java or it is like name spaces in XI, if you know XI.
Such name spaces have to be created by BASIS with permission from SAP.
Ideally it should not give an error if the data types match but it may give an error in case actual type names are compared. I'm not quite aware of EBP system.

External Catalog Call Structures

We are on SRM 4.0 and integrated ITS. We are using the standard call structure for external catalogs which opens in a new window. However, this is causing grief with our users because they tend to stay in the catalogs too long and eventually timeout of SRM. Our current timeout is set to 30 minutes. Therefore, when they go to the catalogs, SRM sits idle. When they checkout of the catalog to bring the items over into SRM, they will get a timeout message.
I would like to have the catalog open in the same window as SRM. I understand this is done through integrated call structure.
However, when I select my items from the catalog and check out, I'm not brought back into my shopping cart. Another window opens with the look of external ITS.
Is there something I need to do with the call structure so that the items are added back to my shopping cart?
Are there other options so that users do not timeout of SRM? If SRM is sitting idle, can a message popup letting the user know their session will timeout soon unless they check out of the catalogs?

Upload Organizational Structure in SRM

Hello people,
we are migrating from EBP to SRM 5.5.
This is a new installation, so we have doubts about uploading the organizational strucutre (ppoma_bbp).
Is there a standard function to upload the structure from EBP to SRM. PIFAL transaction can be usede to transfer the units and the parameters?

Vendor and new catalog Integration

Please tell me, how a vendor is integrated in to the user organization structure (since both user and vendor organization structures are independent) and How a new catalog(link) is integrated into the SRM system?

In the vendor org structure, vendor company has attributes defined for like BUK, CAT and all which like the company org structure and the vendor org structure in EBP ( PPOMA_BBP and PPOCV_BBP)

Doubts about BP number in SRM and SUS

Hello everyone,
I have some doubts about the BP number, especially for Vendors.
I am working with the implementation of SRM 5.0 with SUS in an extended classic scenario. We will use one server for SRM and other for SUS. We will use the self registration for vendor (in SUS). My questions are:
- Can I have the same BP number in SRM and SUS?? Or is it going to be different??
- When a vendor accesses at the site to make a self registration in SUS, the information is sent to SRM as prospect (by XI) and there the prospect is changed as vendor? After that, is it necessary to send something from SRM to SUS again? (to change the prospect to vendor)
- When is it necessary to replicate vendors from SRM to SUS??

Dear Ivan,
Here is answer to all your questions. Follow these steps for ROS configuration:
Pls note:
1. No need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. Create two clients for EBP and (SUS+ROS).
2. No need of XI to transfer new registered vendor from ROS to EBP
Steps to configure scenario:
1. Make entries in SPRO --> "Define backend system" on both clients.
    You will ahev specify logical systems of both the clients (ROS as well as EBP)
2. Create RFCs on both clients to communicate with each other
3. In ROS client create Service User for supplier registration service with roles:
    SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEUSER
    SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEVENDOR
    Grant u201CS_A.SCONu201D profile to the user.
4. Maintain service user in u201CLogon Datau201D tab of service : ros_self_reg in ROS client
5. Create Purchasing and vendor Organizational Structure in EBP client and maintain necessary
    attributes. create vendor org structure in ROS client
6. Create your ROS registration questionnaires and assign to product categories- in ROS client
7. To transfer suppliers from registration system to EBP/Bidding system, Supplier pre-screening has to be
    defined as supplier directory in SRM server - EBP client.
    Maintain your prescreen catalog in IMG --> Supplier Relationship Management u2192 SRM Server u2192
    Master Data u2192 Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.)
8. Maintain this catalog Id in purchasing org structure under attribure "CAT" - in EBP client
9. Modify purchaser role in EBP client:
    Open node for u201CROS_PRESCREENu201D and maintain parameter "sap-client" and ROS client number
10.Maintain organizational data in make settings for business partner
Supplier Relationship Management -> Supplier Self-Services -> Master Data -> Make Settings for the Business Partners. This information is actually getting getting stored in table BBP_MARKETP_INFO.
11. Using manage Business partner node with purchasers login (BBPMAININT), newly registsred vendors are pulled from Pre-screen catalog and BP is created in EBP client. If you you have SUS scenario, ensure to maintain "portal vendor" role here.

Activate Catalogs in Purchase Requisition

We are implementing SRM 5.0 with ECC 6.0 as backend.
As one of the scenarios, we need to create Purchase Requisitions in ECC6.0 using Catalogs. But as of now we are unable to get a link of Catalog in Transaction ME51N.
Can someone pls help and let us know what are the required customizing steps to get the same.

I understand that you can manage Call Structure in EBP for CCM.
Same way you need to maintain call structure in R/3 as per path given below:
IMG > MM > Purchasing > Environment Data > Web Service : ID and Description

Punch Out Catalogs - General Information

Hi
One of our clinets is implementing SRM with punch out catalogs. I have not done punch out catalogs before. We are asked to let the vendor know what they need to do in order to integrate with SRM for punch out catalogs. Apparently, the vendor has never integrated with SRM before. The client is on SRM 4.0. I understand the config settings that we need to do in SRM to bring up the punch out catalog.
My questions is what steps does the vendor need to do to be able to integrate witrh SRM? We need to send them the detailed steps that they need to do before integrating the catalogs (fyi., they do have a website for ordering materials but it is not client specific).
I understand it is a very basic question but any help will be appreciated.

There are many discussions on this subject. you can search them in SRM shopping cart
The catalog vendor would need to be OCI compliant.
SRM server- > master data-> Define external web services .define catalog name
You must give outbound parameters for the vendor catalog to access(url/user id /password) in the call structure from ebp.
As well as this catalog definitions must be defined in CAT attribute in PPOMA_BBP.

Loosing history because of BP changes

Hi All,
We are on EBP 3.5 and are using our HR org structure as the basis of our EBP structure(using the standard replication program RHALEINI to replicate the HR structure into EBP via transaction PFAL).
The problem that we seem to be having is with regards to Business partner changes.
Sometimes OM structure changes in HR causes users in EBP to loose their relationships to their current business partner.
The problem comes in that, although the system creates a new one automatically, it would seem that all the history (attachments etc.) to the old shopping carts, PO's etc. seems to be lost. The user can see the status of their shopping carts etc. but cant seem to drill down into the detail of these to view attachments etc.
We think their it has something to do with the fact that if their is a relational change the HR system the valid from and to date changes between the position and person which causes the system to create a new BP.
Is there no way that we can link the two business Partners, so as to not loose the history of prior purchases, or is their a way we can retrieve the history?
We are on all the applicable support packs for our release and have implemented all relevant notes to note 550555.

SRM HR Org Structure - error in EBP User

We are on SRM 4.0 (EBP 5.) and have replicated our R/3 org structure. We run a nightly batch job that updates the org structure in SRM with any changes made in R/3. Some users are unable to use SRM due to not being replicated properly into SRM. When you view the org structure via PPOMA_BBP - Change Attributes Check there are two STOP signs - with the following error messages
STOP   BBP Error in EBP User xxxxx
STOP   HR/ALE Verteilung ist aktiv. Verteilen Sie die Benutzerdaten neu.
When I translated the German error message, it translated to
HR/ALE Distribution is active.
Redistribute the user data.
How do I redistribute the user data to correct the problem so the users can use SRM again?
Also, where can I change the german transaction into English.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jan,
     Follow these steps in R/3
1. Go To PA20. Check the Personal ID for the user for whom it shoots an error
2. Go To PFAL. You might have to use a variant for this transaction. Feed the User's Personal # and the target system.
This will push an IDOC from R/3 to SRM with the org data
     Follow these steps in SRM:
1. Go to SE38 and execute this report RBDAPP01
This report will process the incoming IDOC to the Org Structure in SRM

Client copy with configuration data in R/3. Is there any effect on EBP sys

Hi all,
We are using classic scenario. Our client is reorganizing their Org structure for that we need to do client copy with only configuration data.
In this scenario we are uploading the master and transactional data through ALE in order to retain the same number ranges and the same data in EBP system.
My doubt is when we do config steps Define logical system and assign the logical system to the client and define Idoc message types etc... Is it necessary to run BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL job. If yes the same data like Plant and storage location and all master data will override the existing data or not. And what about the open Purchase orders and open goods receipts.
Can you please reply immediately. It is very urgent.

Employee user not able to access catalogs from EBP

Hello Seniors,
We are implementing SRM 4.0 with scenario SSP and CCM 2.0.
Please note the landscape highlights:
EBP and CCM component are mounted in the same client and same server.
CAT and CES are also on same client.
No XI in picture.
Catalog upload has been done through CSV format only.
Please note the activities I have completed:
Cat_Manager assigned to /CCM/CATALOG_MANAGER role and profile generated.
Did the customizing for CAT
Did the customizing for CSE
Activated the required services
For the service srm_cse set the log on procedure as "log on data required".
Maintained a service user "ccm_user" in anonymous log on data.
Maintained "define external web serices" in SRM img->SRM ->SRM server ->Master data (Here i have a doubt which is explained later)
Intialized CCM with report.
Uploaded schema in the master catalog.
Created supplier ID and catalog.
Uploaded CSV file for Supplier catalog.
Mapped Supplier catalog with master catalog
Published Master cataog.
maintained entry of master catalog in PPOMA_BBP.
Now I logged on EBP home page with employee user.
Went to application shop.
My master catalog published in CCM component was present there with exact name.
But when the employee user clicks on the particular catalog link to choose the items from , He is getting an error "" BSP exception: Access to URL /sap/bc/bsp/ccm/srm_cse is forbidden "".
With this error message immediately the attention goes to the service srm_cse.But there I have maintained a SERVICE user by user ID ccm_user which is existing in SRM SU01.
In the whole customizing explained above I have two weak points which I want to state now:
1. The integrated call structure for my particular master catalog was copied from other catalog.
There i am missing one sr. no. of 70 (ie after 60 , 80 is there).
But all the values for url, ccm-user, password, sap-client, sap language, locale, catalogID are filled correctly with type as per config guide.
Do the parameter names should come exactly as per sequence given in guide(In my case it's not so.)
(If anybody wants to see screenshot for this point pl. give me personal ID.)
2. I had deleted the entry of my particular master catalog from the external web services to correct the error stated in pt. no 1 .
But when i tried to create an entry again with the same ID system gave me an error saying that the said catalog is marked for deletion.
now entry of this particular master catalog is present in table /CCM/D_CTLG_REQ with no x mark in active column.
But my catalog ID is present in external web services.
Can point no. 1 and 2 are reasons of the failure to access the catalogs from EBP?
If it is so then please tell me the procedure to recreate the integrated call structure with same catalog ID.

Error while creating the Organization structure.

I am trying to create an Organization structure in SRM 5 sytem, I have created a Root for the structure and when i try to click on the Attribute Inheritance or the Check tab below i am getting an error "Start program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL first (see note 563180 and long text)" but i have replicated one plant from the R/3 system using BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED and the material groups and all the other relevant datas from R/3. I can see in the table BBP_LOCMAP the plant been associated with the relevant company code. I am now struck in creating the organization structure. I am not sure where i am going wrong while creating the Org model.Please give me your valuable inputs to overcome this error.

Go to transaction SM30, table T77S0
Add an X to the following entry:
Group = EBP
Sem abbr. = LMIGR
Val. Abbr. = X
Description = Locations Successfully Migrated
This tell the system that the locations have been replicated and the error indicating location get all needs be executed will go away.

Error while creating Org structure     Message no. BBP_LOCATION009

Iam trying to build an SRM6.0 with backend as R/3 4.7
I have replicated the plats from back end with report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM
On errors rectified the same and finally, SLG1 report shows no errors.
But still noticed that T77S0 table entry with GPID=EBP, SEMID= LMIGR is not set to X (Refer note 563180)
Due to the above problem while creating org structure when I click on Att inheritence or Extended attributes Locations tab,
I get the message:
Start program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL first (see Note 563180 and long text)
         Message no. BBP_LOCATION009
Diagnosis
    You tried to call a program that uses a location. The locations have not
    yet been replicated.
System Response
    The current program has been terminated.
Procedure
    Start the program to replicate the locations. You can find more
    information in SAPNet in Note .
Procedure for System Administration
You can disable this message by starting table maintenance (SM30) for
table T77S0. Change the entry EBP/LMIGR to "X". Note that the system
cannot supply certain information if the locations are not replicated.
Locations that do not exist can be deleted during attribute maintenance.

are you working with multiple backend systems?
can you retry downloading the plants with the report
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL
and then give the logical sys name as yr present backend?
