HT1498 rented a movie then stopes for a moment when I go back it tells me to dowload it?

I have rented a movie. i stoped watching it on my apple tv. When I tried to play it again it asks me to dowload the movie. It tells me to go to settings and download it. My settings does not have this option. It has rented movies but It just stayes there searching and searching..... What a mess. I want to continue wathing the movie that simple. Please help.

A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

I had this problem too. Try turning the iphone off and then turning it back on. This worked for me. Hopefully it helps!

Specifically the last bullet point in the following:
Movie Rentals on iPad
SD movie rentals are in a widescreen format and have a resolution of up to 480p.
HD movie rentals have a resolution of up to 1080p1 on iPad.
Movies rented on iPad cannot be transferred to other devices and can only be viewed on iPad.
An Internet connection to the iTunes Store is required to authorize playback of movie rentals.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Lagging - Music plays for 5 sec., then stop for 10 sec.???

I bought the AE last week and it worked fine for 2 days, then on a morning, for no particular reason. It started to lag heavily. music will play for 2-5 seconds then stops for another 2-5 second, then play again for 2-5 sec.
I tried everything from restarting AE, upgrade Frameware to 6.2 then downgraded to 6.1, upgraded to itune 5 today, nothing works... it is the very same problem.
I am using a Dlink "B" only wireless router, does it make a different? and why did the AE work for 2 days then started this heavy lagging.

I too have been experiencing the exact same issues. Mine has ran perfectly now for months however. From a terminal prompt if you cd /var/log and look at the system.log file you may find the airport link going down the up again (which would certainly account for lags/outages). The link down and up messages are what I am seeing. Often changing the channel will help as interference from other networks/devices can cause the issue as well. My problem began last Saturday, and continued even after I upgraded the firmware to 6.2. As of right now it is running fine again. A friend mentioned that there was a larger than normal amount of Solar activity that was wreaking havoc with some cell phone coverage recently. It would be interesting if these issues go away in the next week or so. Thoughts?

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you use the Apple TV for something else or turn it off it will erase whatever is on it's drive. If you are going to download content for later viewing you might consider doing it on the computer, downloads don't disappear until they expire and you can watch them as many times as you want.

Movie Rental stops playing and cant get the film back.

I rented a movie and it stopped playing half way through. I tried to watch it again and is asking for me to purchase it, what do i do?

I switched to the american itunes to download a song and rent a movie and now it won't let me switch back! Help!

To download a song that wasn't available in the German store, I switched to the American store and downloaded the song and rented a movie with the credit card # of my host dad (with his permission, btw).
