HT1933 Sound is out of sync with picture on animated movie.

Purchased two Barbie animated movies for the family. Both movies start off playing just fine. About halfway through, the sound starts to lag versus the picture. This gets worse and worse until what you see and hear no longer makes sense. For example, a man character is heard speaking but the picture shows a woman character lips moving.
Near new computer and didn't have any trouble with downloading.
Have reported the problem but thought I'd ask for some advice on here.

extend the timeline that contains the flvplayback component to match the duration of the video.
assign an instance name to your flvplayback component (eg, flv_pb) and add the following to the first keyframe in the timeline that contains flv_pb:
stop();
flv_pb.addEventListener(fl.video.VideoEvent.PLAYING_STATE_ENTERED,f);
function f(e:fl.video.VideoEvent):void{
flv_pb.removeEventListener(fl.video.VideoEvent.PLAYING_STATE_ENTERED,f);
play();

  • Iplayer audio out of sync with picture

    Hi guys,
    Has anyone found with iplayer that you hear the sound before people's lips move. Seems to only happen with inlayer, my downloaded movies are fine. Please is anyone able to offer a solution, it's driving me crazy!

    I downloaded a 90 minute TV show and it becomes out of sync @ 51 minutes in. I have no idea why and this has never happened before. Can't seem to find any explanations online so any solutions you find would be greatly appreciated...

  • Sound out of sync with picture

    I have been recording from VHS to digital and although the sound and picture are in sync on the video they are slightly out when I play them back with Quicktime.
    Does anyone know what maybe causing this or do you know if you can move the sound file in Imovie so that it is back in sync.
    Thanks

    Audio is often recorded as 32 KHz (12 bit) or 48 KHz (16 bit).
    As Roy says, your Easy Setup must match.
    Exactly how are you converting VHS and to what type of "digital"?

  • Sound is out of sync with imported video.

    Hello
    So I've Embedded an flv video in the frames of adobe flash so that I can animate over the top of it.
    I realised that on export the audio is slightly faster.
    I thought that this wouldn't be a problem as i'd just have to re-possition the audio. But then I realised that it's not just faster, the audio speeds up at a different rate to the video.
    How can I fix this? Has it got something to do with the frame rate of the video  being different to the fash animation? If so how can I change that?

  • My iTunes is playing the films with sound out of sync with video

    I bought some films off of the iTunes store and whenever they're playing, the sound is out of sync with the video. Why is this?
    Please help.
    Sam.

    Maybe this will help. My first movie I made in IMovie approached thirty minutes long. I read in a book that any movie made in IMovie that approaches that length or longer will start to lose sound sync. The trick is to extract the audio from the video. Sure enough it worked for me.

  • Why is the sound out of sync with the video on my PC laptop?

    The sound is out of sync with the video, it skips (like the old-fashioned vinyl records) or there is no sound at all. As well, the video portion is jerky.
    I'm travelling and don't have access to a TV so have to watch it on my PC laptop.
    I've rebooted my laptop a couple of times, but the problem re-occurs.

    In what app?
    Have you restarted or reset the device?

  • Video out of sync with sound

    Just got the latest update from Itunes 11.1.2.32 and now, when ever I play a movie in Itunes from the Itunes Store the sound is completely out of sync with the picture.  All other movies players (DivX DVDs and Windows Media player) all play fine.  Itunes played fine before the update as well.  Any ideas?

    Most of my video problems have come from using a computer too slow to play the file correctly. I cannot play iTunes video on my desktop have to use laptop.

    On all my video downloads from iTunes, the picture is out of sync with the sound by at least one second. I have followed all the instructions in the troubleshooting page that addresses such issues but the problem continues. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Question: Is all the source footage shot in 16 bit audio or is some also shot in 12 bit?

    When I watch my tv shows on my mac computer thru itunes, the voice is out of sync with the picture.  any suggestions???

    Let's try the following user tip with that one:

  • Sound out of sync with movies...

    Any movie I watch within iTunes (lets say a rental or something I in my library) has the sound go out of sync after a few minutes and it never recovers.
    It doesn't seem to be a hardware issue (VLC works fine and even if I moved the movie to the primary drive, an SSD, I still have issues).

    I'm having the same issue - my hardware WAY exceeds the requirements - by 3x- so there shouldn't be any issues at ALL, but there are.
    Possible fixed that I have found are:
         -You can pause then replay the video every few min.
         -QuickTime seemsto play the videos just fine, but you have to track down the files on your harddrive.
    So far, all I can conclude is that Apple wants youto buy one of their computers to solve the problem, but the still haven'tsolved the issue of a.) the majority of the world not using apple computers, b.) pretty muchevery game coming out on windows computers MONTHS before apple computers, and c.) being totallyincompatible with PC's in a business setting. There's a guy who sends files outat my office with his Mac and he is CONSTANTLY redoing things because it isn'tcompatible with other business's computers - its actually really annoying...

  • Video and sound are out of sync

    The picture and sound my Apple TV are out of sync by several seconds. THese are on items that have been copied to Apple TV as opposed to streaming from iTunes. Anyone have experience with this? What's the solution?
    Thanks.

    What format were the original items ?
    What frame rate are they in the original ?
    What format are they on the AppleTV (H264 video AAC audio is the most common, but there are others) ?
    What is the video frame rate now ?
    Most out of syncs come from an imperfect attempt to encode for AppleTV. ie. DVD frame rate is 29.97fps. Many encode this to 30fps. So the movie plays 0.1% too fast, too little for you to notice, but at the end of a 100 minute film, the audio is 6 seconds out of sync with the video. Or 3 seconds on a 45 minute TV show.
    Also check the source. I'd had DVDs (Alien Resurrection) jump 10 seconds out of sync in the middle of the movie. Back to the shop for that one.

  • Exporting keynote to iDVD audio is out of sync with presentation

    I am working in Keynotes '09 I have a presentation that is time perfectly when I run the slide show. I have a totally different problem when sending it to iDVD or to Quicktime the recorded audio is out of timing with the presentation. I tried everything but nothing seems to be working, Tech Support can't seem to help me out. The problem is not within Keynotes as far as I can tell. It plays fine in Keynotes. It is happening in the export via QuickTime or to iDVD. Does anybody have a clue as to how I can resolve this issue. Audio is checked when syncing there is sound in iDVD it is completely out of sync with the bullets point and overlapping spoken text from sentence to the next. I used an AAc Encoder on the spoken text synced into itune placed spoken text in to keynotes. should I have used MP3 encoding? that is the only thing I have not tried.

    Hi Steve,
    I'm having a similar, if not exactly the same problem. I often download files from my Beyonwiz PVR, convert them to mpeg and DV files using MPEG Streamclip (with Quicktime MPEG playback component), then burn a disc with iDVD. Since upgrading to Lion, I notice that the audio in these files, and the burnt DVD in particular, can be slightly out-of-sync with the video. Although the effect is slight, it's completely unacceptable in my book - its like trying to watch something that been badly dubbed. I find it to be a very jarring effect to watch voices and intonation out of sync with the picture.
    I'm not sure where the problem lies - is it Quicktime, MPEG Streamclip, and/or iDVD ?

  • Sound goes out of sync in playback, why???

    I have just bought the new MacBook Pro 13" with the i7 dual core 2.8
    and bought Final Cut X from the app store - Im playing around with some footage shot on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7
    Ive put in a few edits with transitions, some titles and added sound effects.
    In playback, the sound slowly goes out of sync!  After only about 10 seconds...
    The vision lags while the sound keeps going, there is some flickering, then its worse.
    If I pause playback, then resume it resets...
    Any ideas?
    cheers, David

    I have also experienced this.  Not on every video.  But on some videos.
    The sync slowly drifts.  Then hit pause and then play, and sure enough, the picture and sound are back in sync again.
    This tells me that if you export ("share") the movie, the sound will be fine (it was for me).  But it is unnerving to preview your work and see and hear the picture and sound drift out of sync like that.
    I don't know the answer of why it happens (or how to remedy it), but my hunch is it has something to do with either not enough memory (or processing power), or a slightly underpowered video card.  Just a guess.
    I guess in any of those cases, the remedy would be to upgrade to a more powerful computer.  :-(

  • IPhone out-of-sync with Exchange after performing inbox search?

    Hey everyone,
    I work as an IT technician for an Enterprise where the majority of end-users utilize iPhones (4 and 4s) and iPads (all versions) with varying versions of iOS. Many of these people have ActiveSync set up with our Exchange Server (2008RS, Exchange 2010). We have received a pretty consistent amount of user complaints for a while where end-users' iPhones will [seemingly randomly] become out of sync; i.e. they delete an email on their iPhone and their Outlook doesn't reflect this for hours or visa-versa.
    We have traced this down to indexed searching with the iPhone. In a nutshell, if an end-user tries to search their inbox for an email using the search feature, this is when everything becomes out-of-sync with Exchange. The workaround is restarting the phone (for some reason restarting the Mail app doesn't help).
    I am curious if anyone has more information around this or perhaps a fix so we're not having to tell people (namely Executives and VIPs with larger inboxes...thus searching is used more) to restart their iPhones all the time.
    I thank each of you in advance for any advice you may have. Thanks!
    -Ryan

    Hi mehrardt,
    It does sound like the exchange email account has to be removed from the iPhone and then added again.
    If he has another personal email account on the iPhone, you can have him delete the exchange account and then tap a configuration profile that you emailed him.
    The iPhone Configuration Utility available here: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/enterprise/ will let you create a configuration profile with certificates, which you can email. The receiver would just tap the profile and it would configure the iPhone.
