HT201272 I cannot find previously purchased downloads of American Idol performance video's on my iMac after it had a virus and I cannot download them from the Store?

My iMac had a Trojan Horse virus and I had to reformat and install it's OS again. Now I cannot download any of my video's that I purchased from the iTunes store of Amerian Idol in 2009. How could I get them back?

We are fellow users on here, you are not talking to iTunes Support here.
Whether a film will show in the Purchased link will depend upon what country that you are in (redownloading films isn't possible in all countries), what studio that they are from (not all allow re-downloading), whether they are still in the store (studios occasionally remove them from the store), and whether you've hidden them or not (hiding and unhiding).
Do any films show in the Purchased link, and do you not have copies of them somewhere ? If some do show but others don't then are they hidden (some might also have been removed from the store or the studio doesn't allow re-downloading) ? If you do have Movies as an option in the Purchased tab and you think that there should be more listed there (and you haven't changed countries since buying them), then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they know why they aren't showing
But as with all content from the store you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup copy of them, as there is no guarantee that a content provider won't remove their items from the store.

But the thing is, I don't want to download ANYTHING because I don't have storage. That's why I want to buy them and watch them through iCloud (on my Mac iTunes) without downloading.
I know that it's safer to download them. But does "safer" mean that iTunes might not let me access my purchases through iCloud?

Cannot Find Previous Purchases

I have bought quite a few ringtones but when I change my phone or computer to a new one they don't show up in my iTunes. If I try to go and buy the same ringtones like you would do with app's it charges me twice even though the message says "You own this already. Are you sure you want to purchase?"

I've no idea why your music would have been deleted. However, if you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and they may sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. I can't seem to find my previous and old purchases in itunes 11. I have just downloaded itunes 11 to my new laptop and I have autorized it, but still I can't find my old purchases and listen to them. I have also enabled the iCloud thing in preferences. What do I do?

I have the computer authoirzed, so there is no reason I can find that I shouldn't be able to. Frustrating that a relativity simple issue can't be answered.

Last year I purchased numerous tv shows and could always redownload them from the "Cloud". Now I can't find them. Where are they?

If they aren't in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

I have no clue what you mean. If you downloaded the audiobooks in iTunes on your computer or of you transferred the audiobooks from the iPad to iTunes via the transfer purchases feature, the books should be in your iTunes library,
If you are looking to download them again in the purchased section of iTunes, you have to buy them again. Audiobooks cannot be downloaded again for free. They are not part of iTunes in the cloud.

When you go under the Movie option in your Library, you will see separate tabs for "Rented", "Unwatched", "Movies", 'Genres", "Home Videos", and "List".
Click on the "Rented" one to see the Rentals that you have waiting to be watched.

Some downloaded apps are oriented sideways, because my iPad is sideways in my Zaggfolio keyboard case, and I cannot find any way to rotate the apps so they are vertical when my iPad is horizontal in my Zaggfolio case. I sent a question to the app developers and one of them responded that I had asked a good question and they would consider it on their next update. Does that mean that I have to remove my iPad from my keyoard case every time I want to use those apps. This issue is only happening on some apps. Also, my iPad is not in the locked position.

You can lock the rotation with the little slider switch located under your volume toggle. however locking rotation is an 'all or nothing' proposition. you can't choose the portrait or landscape in a 'per app' basis.
In addition there are some apps that don't rotate.
When I use an app that wants to be in portrait with my zagg folio I just turn it and hold it that way. the lack of ease of rotation is the oen major downfall of that case.

Problem with iTunes purchased track. I purchased an album from the store and downloaded. I contacted support as one track was defective and had this one track setup to re-download, which was successful.

I purchased an album with 11 tracks from the Store. When the download was complete, I edited the name to make it easier for me to find. I then synced my iPod and iPad with the new album. However I found that one of the tracks was defective and after writing to the support community, a second download was setup and this fixed the bad track. I was surprised that when the track downloaded, it went to the track with the new name. However it works perfectly on my computer. For some reason, the iPod and iPad have synced a few times but the track for this album on these is the original track with the defect and this has not fixed, though there have been multiple times that it has synced. The laptop with its corrected track works fine.
The message from support told me to be sure that the software on my laptop was the current version and I did correct this before getting that corrected download. However I notice that my iPod says that it has the latest version and won't check for an update until 2/24.
Can you help me figure this out. I thought if I could delete this track off the iPod and iPad that it would sync the correct version, but I can't see how to delete these.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the problem tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Yeah, I am going to blast my iPhone for the 4th time today and pray this goes away. I had 6 apps showing updates, the 6 badge icon shows on the App Store on my iPhone and, having run them all, the 6 apps have two copies each on my iPhone: one that is the old version of the app and will not run and the other is a faded version of the app with an empty progress bar on the icon. Click those and you get an error message about connecting to iTunes, etc. as described in the article I linked to above.
It gets stranger than this. If I install a completely NEW app, the 6 that are stuck mid-update heal themselves and appear with the new version only, however now completely different apps (Hold Em for instance - which I did not update and didn't need an update) will not launch "app name Cannot Launch" message comes up.

Not necessarily. I'd suggest downloading and installing the "combo" update. That's a combination (thus the clever name) of all the updates to Leopard since it was first released, so installing it should fix anything that's gone wrong since then, such as with one of the normal "point" updates. If you purchased an upgrade from LR5 to LR6 then after you enter your LR6 serial number, you will need to enter your LR5 serial number, unless LR6 finds LR5 on the computer. This also assumes that you've purchased the perpetual license of both LR5 and LR6, not a cloud license for LR5 which doesn't use a serial number for licensing. If entering a LR6 then LR5 serial number into LR6's serial-number area isn't working, then is there something special about the LR5 that would make it ineligible for an upgrade?
