The little cloud symbol in the dog eared corner of the movie I purchased was easily overlooked and confusing. A suggestion to Apple; It would be so much easier if there were a button that said "download now" or "click here to download", as an option in the menu bar, or a drag and drop to iTunes.
I don't use iCloud or download movies very often.
How are novice users (like myself) supposed to know that tiny, obscure little cloud symbol means download? Especially when it is in the corner of an image. Everytime I clicked on the image, it took me to the info about the movie. I went back and forth like an idiot trying to figure out how to download it to my library.

Please open Outlook 2010, click File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Automatic Download, and then uncheck the option labelled "Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail message or RSS items". Click OK and
then test the issue again.

HELP i have and ipod nano3 but cannot download music or view its contents

If your computer's operating system is Windows 2000, then, it's not compatible with iPod, you can only use it to charge the iPod. This is clearly said in Apple's iPod web site.
Try another PC that runs XP or Vista.

Best way to have a button click create a pop-up window with link URL?

Hi everyone,
What is the best way to set a button's click to open a pop-up browser window and take the user to a specific link?
I did a bit of research and it looks like there are many methods and I'm not sure if the posts were older, but many mention that some of the methods are inconsistent with different browsers + get caught in pop-up blockers...
Different methods:
navigationToURL()
window.open()
ExternalInterface.call()

Just to clarify a bit: The observer pattern is not really used for "simple binding". I mean, if your application is really small, I can't say that it would hurt to implement an observer pattern just that it might be more of an overkill ( but not completely an overkill ). If the stuff you are trying to do is really simple then using simple listeners and dispatchers is fine ( even in more complex situations, events come in really handy ).
So, don't overkill if the application is not aimed to evolve/change and be as flexible as possible. Design patterns are great when they are used correctly and in the correct situation. Just because they solve certain problems well, that doesn't mean that all applications need the complexity and abstraction many patterns bring ( you could build a simple Hello World! app in tons of classes with N patterns but what would be the point? ).

i have done this on my ipad mini and my imac but they are still not syncing. my iphone 4 has the icloud symbol but it seems to be unresponsive to touch, I cannot get it to highlight or turn-on. Bit confused.

I would like to know why ASC removed my comments and pleads saying they were rantings? Maybe so, but if you received more than 100 emails a day, you would too! I have done all the right things to not receive these emails but to no avail.Can someone help?

For months now I have been puting up with receiving emails generated from Apple Support Communities - sometimes more than 100 a day. Needless to say I am angry. I have done everything I have been told to do so as not to receive them BUT they still keep on coming all day and all night. It is messing up my sytem and taking too much time out of my busy day. When I responded to another person's same problem, I immediately received an email from Apple Support Communities telling me that they have removed my responses from Apple Support Communities! This, after only one day, when I have been writing and requesting help to have these emails stop from cloging up my email! Of course I am upset and now even more.
Please, if someone knows how to stop these emails from entering my box, I would really appreciate hearing. In the meantime I continue to delete one by one.Linda166

It's not completely obvious. What you have to do in Spaces is to position your cursor to the upper right of the screen, after which faint + (plus) sign appears in that area. Click that, upon which another Desktop will appear.
The + may be difficult or impossible to see with some desktop backgrounds (black, for instance):

I have to scan a lot of docs. to my adobe but they have to be in separate folders for each datefor billing-would acrobat help me do that?

I work in EMS-each call may have 2 or 3 or 10 pages (it varies according to the patient or facility). When I scan each days paperwork to send to billing,I have to make a folder for each date-then I have to make a folder for each call-then I have to drag each scanned doc. into the date it belongs to (after I rename them with the individual case #s) I can't scan an entire days paperwork together because I can't separate them after they are scanned in adobe-would acrobat help me with this or is there some other program I can use? HELP---I'm going to either smash my computer or the scanner or both!!!

See-I don't have a clue--now you know why I am so confused! So sorry!! ok let's see if I can explain correctly-
1. Scan to a network folder-can type in a file name if I want or leave blank (gives it a really LONG name with the date mixed in there)
2. it goes to a scan file on my work computer with my name
3. Then I can rename on my computer (not the scanner)
4. Then I have to open a remote-drag the files to that (the billing girls get it from a folder there)
But the problem is-I can't scan-say if I have 45 documents for that day-all of them at one time and then go to my computer and separate them into different folders-I have to scan each individual case # (each patient has a different #) some may be 1 page some may have 2 or 5 or 10 or whatever-so for each one I have to start at #1 and do all above steps over and over-it takes forever! I want to be able to scan all at one time without keeping them separate and then go to my desk and separate them-I am a dispatcher and answer the phone-and a short time to do paperwork-(this is a new job added to my existing and I am learning!!) I can't stand it taking all day!! also when I rename them it keeps both the new name and the original-good lord do I have a mess. Sorry to bother you but I didn't know which product would help me and It's killing me!

like it says in the title, I keep having the error 16 code when I try to use any of my CS6 design and web premuim tools. I have done the uninstall and re install, I have gone through and changed my folders like the walkthrough says. I really like using this stuff but right now I really feel like I want a refund. anyone out there able to help fix it?

i cant login anywhere as all my passwords are saved in firefox, i cant even access teh firefox preference to get my password, it's so sad

You likley have a corrupted Firefox preference or other support file in your User/Library folder.
Programs load these files from the user account to adjust to user specifications, instead of having multiple copies of the same program on the machine.
So when you reinstalled Firefox, it reinstalled the progrma only and the user support files remained from before.
To prove this point, use System Preferences to create another Admin account and log into it, Firefox should run like a charm.
To remove the Firefox support files from the problem user account your going to need to locate these files and delete them one at a time and try FF again and again.
The first one you shoull try is your FF .plist file located in your User/Library folder.
Clicm on the Finder and use the Go > Go to Folder and paste this
~/Library/Preferences
and press Go.
Now scroll down until you see the Firefox or Mozilla .plist file and Trash it, quit and restart Firefox, it will recreate the preference file with default settings you will have to reset it.
Next run through the list of fixes #1-13 here before proceeding.

If you need help deleting other FF files, download the free Easy Find from MacUpdate.com and search for anything "Mozilla" or "Firefox" in your User account only and take your chances you hopefully won't delete your password file in the process.
You should have site passwords written down someplace and locked up tightin case you need them, a computer isn't totally safe and reliable.
