I have no MobileMe albums,
I switched to iCloud and still everytime time Aperture bothers me with "MobileMe has been discontinued" with a choice between "learn more" OR "ok".
OK hangs Aperture.
Found the answer in the "Preferences", "Web"

You should have added the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag to the MobileMe feed while you had the chance. As this is no longer possible, your only option is to email Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to transfer iTunes' attentions to the new feed. Give them the iTunes Store URL, and the URLs of both feeds. I can't guarantee they will do this, but they have for others. Unfortunately your existing subscribers won't be notified of the change (as they would have silently been with the redirection tag) so for them it will just stop working.

How to insert the file name to the start and the end of a SQL file by a powershell script

I just began to learn powershell script and I have a problem that I cannot figure out. I have a lot of .sql files. I need to insert its file name to the beginning of the file (After USE statement) and the end of the file (before the last END statement). Is
there anybody knowing how to do this?

Actually, I want to add a insert SQL statement to the beginning of the file and the end of the file. Only the file name is a variable and different among
different files. All the other sql statements are the same and can be hard coded. Hopefully it helps –

Can you also see blackening in the power jack on the PowerBook? If so, I would be worried that the surge also damaged the computer/
Does the computer run OK on just the battery? If it is working on battery power, that limits the number of things inside the computer that could have been fried.
If the computer is severely damaged by the surge, it's not worth repairing. However, a couple of posters in Apple forums said their homeowners'/renters' insurance paid them replacement value of their computer after power surge damage due to known problems on the grid, like the huge power outage that hit the SW Untied Stats and part of Mexico yesterday.

How to modify a Visual Studio project for having traces at the beginning and the ending of a function

I am working on a Visual Studio project (written in C) and in order to do some debugging, I would like to add traces.
This can be done in different ways:

=>But as this implies that I need to copy the name of the functions everywhere, this is a lot of work.
A better approach:

{ #ifdef DEBUG
printf("%s \n", __FUNCTION__);

=> This is already better, but I still need to add those lines of code everywhere at the beginning (and the end) of my functions.
So I'm wondering, would it be possible to modify my Visual Studio project in such a way that some lines of code are added at the beginning and the ending of a function, and this for a whole file, project, solution? Does somebody know how to do this?

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. So far Apple have created at least 4 types of ID.
Immediately prior to MobileMe was .Mac
.Mac allowed free trial accounts for 60 days but the names were valid as iChat/AIM Screen Names after this period was up.
When MobileMe came along you had to register a Credit Card and actively cancel any Trial period before the 60 days was up.
This stopped the name being valid with the AIM servers (They could not access the Password) after the account. Trial or otherwise lapsed.
Since June last year MobileMe accounts have been becoming invalid. (well, expired really)
In some cases people moved to the iCloud issued @Me.com names (it seems these can be the "same" name but are effectively two names leading to the same account.
If you had a .Mac service Name and linked this to the MobileMe @me.com name at the .Mac to MobileMe change over you will possibly still be using the @mac.com ID as a valid email address where you can log in as @me.com and @mac.com to the same account in the same manner.
This leaves you with a potential Name issue that will be Valid with AIM if you have one of the last Active MobileMe names.
Options
Create a free @mac.com name (keep the password to 16 characters or less)
Create an AIM Name
Create an iCloud Name (which may look to be the same as the @me.com name you are using).
The iCloud Names will only work in iChat 6 (Lion) and the Messages beta (and therefore presumably Messages in Mountain Lion).
This is due to the way iChat 6 et al logs in to the me.com server as well as AIM which in turn allows the AIM servers to "See" the password.

Aperture and the Retna Display

I have not been here for a while, so this has most likely already been discussed. If so, please disregard my post.
I was in an Apple store the other day and finally got a chance to look at the new MacBook Pro Retna (MBPR).
So the MBPR has really high resolution. (total number of pixels) In the default (or recommended) display settings (System Preferences) the UI shows text in what I would call a large, sharp mode. It uses all the extra pixels to make the text sharper, not really small. I assumed applications like Aperture would use all the pixels when it displayed photos. However, that didn't seem to be the case.
In Aperture, I double clicked a photo to view a single photo. I then clicked on the 100% icon. In this mode, I expect to see a one to one relationship between the pixels in the photo and the pixels in on the display. There should be no scaling.
I compared this (side by side) with another MBPR where the display settings were set to most pixels. (I forgot what it's actually called) In this mode, the text is much smaller. So you can see more of the UI. It's smaller and a little harder to see, but you can see more. I then took the same photo and clicked the 100% icon. This time, I got a different result.
I expected the 100% view to show the exact same way on both computers, regardless of the display settings in System Preferences. I expected those settings to affect the UI, not viewing photos at 100%.
In the default mode Aperture zoomed in more of the photo, so I saw less of it.
In the "more pixels" it was less zoomed in, so I saw more of the photo.
The default mode was not 100%, because given the size of the photo (around 3,000 pixels wide) it was too zoomed in. The "more pixels" mode seemed closer to 100%, but I don't think the math was working out right, since it seemed to show the full width of the photo and the MBPR is less than 3000 pixels wide.
No one at the Apple store could explain it to me.
Can someone with a MBPR explain it to me?

System Preferences in Default Mode: UI scales 4X and Aperture scales photos at 1X. So, in this mode when you click on the zoom viewer button, the image is scaled 1x, so it's a 1 for 1 pixel representation.
System Preferences in More Space Mode: Text is scaled at 2X (so your text and UI elements are smaller). However, Aperture no longer scales the image at 1X. It is scaling it down to fit.
This explanation seems to fit what I saw at the Apple store.
I would have thought that the System Preferences would only affect text and UI elements, not things like photos and videos, at least when viewed at 100% zoom.
I'm not sure I understand why Apple would change the 100% viewing of images/videos. I would think that should stay constant. Especally give the fact that the System Preferences settings no longer changes the displays resolution. Now it's changing the scaling factor, which I think should only affect text and UI.
But, that's just my opinion. Either way, Keith you have provided the answer to my question.

Aperture and the new Mac Mini

I actually wonder if this new mac Mini could handle Aperture:
I currently have an iMac G5 2.1GHz and 128MB video card, with a firewire 400 external drive.
If I switch for the Mini with the 800 firewire connectivity and, say, the 256 MB shared graphics video , would I get an much better reactivity and speed ?

At the moment, the Aperture product page does not explicitly state that the software will run on the new mini with it's Nvidia integrated graphics system. It should, since while not highly recommended, it was capable of running on the Intel GMA950 of the prior model, but I think you'd need to check with the vendor (presumably Apple via phone or in-store) before purchase, just to be sure.
Assuming that it does run, you should find the system notably faster and more responsive than your current G5 iMac since the processor is a generation ahead in performance, and the system's bus speed etc are all faster. It would be wise to go for the highest RAM complement possible however, since that makes a considerable difference to operating speed as a whole.

About the first inspection before mass production ,and the end inspection after mass production

       There is a scenario about my customer : before mass production they need to do first inspection avoid a lot of defect for the finish goods ; and he also need doing the end inspection to check whether the mold can be used for next batch or need to do some repair .
     I want to add two operations in the routing ,but it seems unreasonable .

OPTION - A
I think, you can try the below option which may not be the best solution but looks logical to me -
a) Create to inspection types 8901 (Initial Mold Manual Inspection) and 8902 (Final Mold Manual Inspection) and assign them to inspection lot origin 89. Please note these inspection types are manually created and these are not linked to stock movement.
b) Use the inspection type 8901 to test the initial condition of the process. In case if the UD = R, then use enhancement to create a new 8901 inspection lot by linking the old number in "TEXT" field.
c) If the next inspection UD = R, then repeat the manual inspection lot 8901 inspection lot creation step. If the inspection lot 8901 UD = A, then this process is Good to start he process. So create a follow-up action and send emails to stakeholders.
d) If you are not interested in testing the in-process quality of the produced materials, then you need not need 04 inspection type to be added for GR inspection. If you do test (I think yes, based on your answer...) you can add this inspection type to your material. Then you will be able to Release/Block your produced materials too using UD= A/R respectively.
e) Once the production process is complete, you can create manual inspection 8902 to test the mold characteristic. If the UD = R, then again execute the enhancement to create a new inspection lot 8902, by adding the previous inspection lot number in TEXT field, and keep repeating this process. If the UD = A, then there is no further need for testing, and follow-up mail can be send to the stakeholders for the completion of the process.
OPTION - B
Else, you may need to use inspection type 14 linked to your equipment doing the production, to test the mold characteristics. This process will be linked to PM-QM module, and you need to map this process too.
1st inspection can be linked to 89 manual inspection to double check the process and the final inspection after entire production can be done through inspection type 14. Checking the produced material quality will again need inspection type 04 activation like normal process.

Aperture and the OpenRAW initiative...

Do any of you know where Apple is in terms of supporting the thoughts and ideas of the openRAW community?
Personally I would like to have my images and the work I do on them to survive the life-span of Aperture.

It is my gut feeling this OpenRAW thing will lose steam over time, and here's why. The consortium is calling for an agreed upon standard file format for RAW--something which in theory may seem like a good idea, but who would....
- develop said format
- update said format with each new camera release
and the biggie...
- who would OWN the rights to the license for said format?
There is a lot on the line for whomever gets the nod (or fails to). Of the major manufacturers out there, Nikon is committed to their own proprietary NEF format, and have gone on record in the past as stating their stance on OpenRAW.
Companies like Canon, Hasselblad, and Phase One all have significant investments in R&D with regards to RAW formats, so I don't see any of them dropping their formats.
And the whole Adobe DNG initiative is a joke. C'mon, we already have to do one RAW conversion, why make photographers jump through yet another hoop to conform to a fledgling "open" standard which is tied too closely to a single corporation?

Podcasts, iWeb and the Absence of MobileMe

My iWeb site that was previously hosted by MobileMe is, of course, no more. I did transfer the site to another host and it is working fine. Unfortunately, one function that has yet to regain operation is the podcasts that I post to my site being available through the iTunes store. Anyone have any ideas how I can regain this function?
