i requested an email in order to reset my security questions. no email received

You've checked the spam folder on your rescue email acccount as well as the inbox, and tried clicking the reset link again ? If you still don't receive it then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

  • I have no "Rescue email" contact in order to reset my security questions and I don't believe I ever answered any security questions when I created my Apple ID for Itunes.  Someone kindly sent me Apple support link but to no avail!  Please Help me!

I have no "Rescue email" contact in order to reset my security questions!!  I've been trying now for 4 days to contact Apple/Itunes but I only get sent answers from a support team that say they cannot help me with my problem!!
The thing is that I can't ever remember answering any security questions and without a rescue email, I'm unable to reset them or even set them for the first time!!
I can't believe that no-one from Apple/Itunes can help me with this simple problem but unfortunately that is the case - Incredible, isn't it!!!
Would anyone know how I could solve this problem online???   Because each time I sign into Itunes, the same security questions reappear and reappear and reappear.  In fact I've got to the point where I feel like uninstalling Itunes and downloading an alternative.
    Many thanks

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • HT5312 So this doesn't answer how to reset your security questions

I think I have my rescue email set up but where can you reset your security questions?

The Three Best Alternatives for Security Questions and Rescue Mail
         1.  Send Apple an email request at: Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us.
         2.  Call Apple Support in your country: Customer Service: Contact Apple support.
         3.  Rescue email address and how to reset Apple ID security questions.
A substitute for using the security questions is to use 2-step verification:

  • HT5312 So where does it say how to reset your security questions?

    Hey all,
So, does anyone here know how I can reset my security questions? I do have a rescue email address just so you all know.

You are sure that it's a rescue email address and not an alternate email address ? They are different settings/addresses on your account. If it is a rescue email address then you should get the option to send reset info to it as described on that page i.e. under the 2 questions.
Otherwise you can see if the instructions on this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

  • HT5312 how where do i go to actually reset my security questions or add a rescue email?

So I have forgotten the answers to my security questions.  Where do I go to add a rescue email in order to reset them?

You won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer your questions, if you don't already have one on your acocunt (you can see if you have one by following the instructions on the HT5312 page that you posted from) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

  • HT5312 How do I get the link to reset my security questions?

The page for rescue email and security questions is not active. I can see the information but I can't take any actions as the page and the links are not active.

You can only set up a Rescue Email BEFORE you forget the questions/answers

  • HT5312 what is the 100% guaranteed way to reset the security questions? i forgot how the answers were typed specifically and i need help. there is no email address for them to send the answers to for some reason, and the "change payment method" idea didnt

somebody please know something. for some reason apple doesnt want problems to be settled over email and everything has to be fixed over the phone, but i hate calling people and would rather email. so is there a way or do i have to call them?

If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset - which will be by phone as they need to confirm your id and that it's your account

You can try contacting them via email via this link, but you might have to wait 24 to 48 hours for a reply, and they then might just tell to you to use the HT5699 link above : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • I cannot reset my security questions I dont receive the reset email

I am not getting my reset email from Apple.  When I follow all their instructions I see that the email they are sending it to (they only show a partial) is incorrect. I looked at all email addresses associated with the account and none of them are the one they are sending it to. Its like a typo. Instead of saying my address @aol.com  it says my address @ail.com. I don't know what to do. I've tried everything they suggest but none work. I looked at my I cloud email and it isnt there either. Please help

You need to contact Apple. Click here and fill out the form; you'll most likely be told to use a nearby country's phone number.

  • HT5312 How do I use my rescue email to reset my security questions?

Ever since I got a new phone in December I haven't been able to make purchases on the App Store (free stuff I can get of course). Whenever I go to buy something it asks for the answers to my security questions. And for some reason all the answers I can think of are being declined.
I checked apple support and it said I can use my rescue email to reset the questions, but when I clicked on the link all it did was tell me why having a rescue email was so important.
