HTTP server & SSL error

Dear sirs...
i have enabled a stand alone SSL on Oracle Application Server 10g R2 under windows through modifying httpd.conf. SSL works fine with the defult testing wallet that comes with Oracle AS. however when i use my own wallet i get the following error:
[Sat Dec 17 15:22:59 2005] [error] mod_ossl: SSL call to NZ function nzos_Handshake failed with error 29040 (server server.yourdomain.com:443,
client 192.168.0.1)
[Sat Dec 17 15:22:59 2005] [error] mod_ossl: Unknown error
[Sat Dec 17 15:22:59 2005] [error] mod_ossl: SSL call to NZ function nzos_Handshake failed with error 29040 (server server.yourdomain.com:443,
client 192.168.0.1)
[Sat Dec 17 15:22:59 2005] [error] mod_ossl: Unknown error
i have checked the wallet, and the autologin is enabled. it seems the encryption algorithim is not supported by the browser. is this correct? how can i solve the problem? should the certificate contain some special settings in order to work? or i can use any certificate?
thanks for any help in advance
best regards

  • HTTP Server startup Error

I am unable to restart the HTTP server service after I tried to install Discoverer Administration suite.
I get the following error at startup of service.
"The procedure entry point OCIUserCallbackRegister could not be located in the dynamic link library OCI.dll"
This has made our development job to a standstill.
An early reply would be highly appreciable.

    Dear Ashwin.
I face same problem. This oci.dll file is located on forms or reports server's bin folder. What i can do is just rename this file. For example if oci.dll is their then rename to 'copy of oci.dll'.I think this should work.
    Thank you.

My http home directory is c:\OracleHTTP; my old HTTP directory was C:\orahttp that I deleted and reinstall Oracle HTTP Server.
I don't understand why these error is coming? even Apache is referring old http server home.
on DADS.CONF my image directory is set to
    Alias /i/ "c:\OracleHttp\Apache\images\/"
So the situation is when I invoke Apex it displays with all images, but do not move after that; i.e the screen don't move whatever you type.
Can anybody give advise what can we do to make Apex functional?
    Thanks.

The reference to old HTTP home was resolved as there were old settings on Window Registry that I deleted.
I am still getting following errors:-

  • Google HTTP Server Request Error

I have a problem accessing any Google websites. I can visit Google.com without any issues. However, any other sites, such as Drive, Analytics etc. I cannot visit them. Basically this is what is happening. I type drive.google.com in the browser (I tried in all three major browsers i.e Chrome, Firefox and Safari). The error I get is attached as a image (Error is displayed in Chrome).
However, after that error, when I add HTTPS in front of the URL, it works fine. Now this happens only when I'm at my work. Though it doesn't happen for anyone else at work. The IT department doesn't know what is going on either since my laptop is the only one that is facing the issues. I'm running OX 10.9 Not sure if this is a virus or what. They have tried flushing the DNS and releasing and renewing IP. But nothing works. Any ideas on what it can be?

Turns out that the problem was that the Application Pool
Identity didn't have access to the SQL DBs to do CRUD. I guess you
should never be too sure of things. -=o/

  • Application server http server (webpage)error

    hi,
i am tryping to access the localhost.localdomain:com:7777/oiddas. but i am getting page not found error. please let me know how to troubleshoot this.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

    Hi,
Wow, that was a quite detailed problem ! :)
Well, I suppose "oiddas" is your application.
I would suggest to log in the console, go to the "Deployments" section in the domain structure, and click on your application.
Then you'll have a "Testing" tab which will show you all the available pages for testing.
Click one of them (the list is reflecting the welcome-file-list in your web.xml) and you should get your application.
    Hope this helps !
[EDIT] Sorry, I guess my piece of advice doesn't apply to your question since it's Oracle Application Server and not Oracle WebLogic Server ....

  • ISSUES WHILE STARTING HTTP SERVER FOR A NEW INSTALLATION OF 10G AS

I installed 10g AS version 10.1.3.1. I am having this issue while running the installation:
The Configuration assistants are failing with the following error:
    ias-component/process-type/process-set:
    HTTP_Server/HTTP_Server/HTTP_Server/
    Error
    --> Process (index=1,uid=621769602,pid=30999)
failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit
    Log:
    /opt/dba/oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/opmn/logs//HTTP_Server~1.log
Configuration assistant "Oracle Process Management and Notification Configuration Assistant" failed
I am using a staticports.ini file with the following values
    Oracle HTTP Server port =81
Oracle HTTP Server Listen port = 81
Oracle HTTP Server SSL port = 444
Oracle HTTP Server Listen (SSL) port = 444
I am not sure what the following are for and what values i should for them so i commented them
    #Oracle Notification Server Request port = port_num
    #Oracle Notification Server Local port = port_num
    #Oracle Notification Server Remote port = port_num
    #ASG port = port_num
Has anyone encountered this issue ??

Port numbers less than 1024 are privileged ports on Unix/Linux. In order for OHS to run on one of the privileged port (e.g. 81 and 441 in your case) you must enable OHS to run as root. By default OHS runs a non-root user, the user that installed Oracle Application Server.
So to start with installer do not specify custom (static) ports and complete the installation. OHS will be assigned some non-privileged port by installer. Post installation follow the instructions here to change the ports to 81 and 441:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/core.1013/b32196/ports.htm#CIHJEEJH

  • Just installed HTML DB on 9i, can I just use 10G HTTP server?

I just installed html db from my 10G release 2 dvd (on a machine that only has 9.2.0.6 on it), and went thru the steps outlined on http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/howto_use9ir2ohs.html
I installed the schema SYSAUX in an existing 9i database.
When I went to start the 9i http server it errors out and seems to not be working on this server, so rather than troubleshoot this can I not just use the 10G http server that was installed?
If so, I am a complete newbie at this so where might I find a good howto on getting started with HTML DB, I just want to play with it for now, but my eventual goal is to start migrating our MSAccess apps into Oracle and using this as a front end.
    thanks in advance!

Thanks Sergio, I think I will uninstall it and start again from the link you gave me, I am curious though, on why it has you download the htmldb and unzip/install it manually etc. when it is an option on the 10GR2 dvd shown?
If I recall correctly, the HTML DB option included the http server already, or is it just the preferred method to install the apache server standalone and HTML DB manually?
