HttpSession lost when using browser - Apache - oc4j

Hi,
config: browser <-> Apache <-> oc4j using ProxyPass & ProxyPassReverse directives.
problem:
- A servlet calls HttpSession.putValue("Key","some data"), then redirect to B servlet.
- B servlet tries to HttpSession.getValue("Key"), but it return null.
.putValue & .getValue are OK when config is browser <-> oc4j.
Can anybody help me?
Kenny.

Can you tell us whether you are using cookies or URL rewriting to do session tracking ? Hi Debabrata,
I use cookies to do the tracking. Also, same thing happened when I use NT version of Apache & NT version of OC4j.
Kenny.

    If you are using JDeveloper then remove the following file:
    <JDEV_HOME>\j2ee\home\jaxb-rt-1.0-ea.jar
    <JDEV_HOME> is the location where you have JDeveloper installed.
    When you compiled your classes, you compiled them with JAXB 1.1 libraries in the JWSDP 1.3.
    When you were running your classes within JDeveloper, OC4J looked at the jaxb-rt-1.0-ea.jar library before looking at the libraries in WEB-INF\lib, causing the IncompatibleClassChangeError.
    Hope this helps.

    Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Exception when using browser refresh button

    When using the browser refresh button, there is a prompt to re-submit data. Once the user selects Retry, an exception is thrown (see below).
    The SelectBean is of ViewScope and is listed in adfc-config.xml as such. The SelectBean is used to set session attributes based user selection of a row from a af:table.
    Is this the incorrect set up? Should this be a backing bean instead? We were expecting to see a prompt of navigating away from the page (similar to the behaviour here: [http://andrejusb.blogspot.ca/2011/07/how-to-handle-web-browser-buttons-in.html] ) instead of a resubmission prompt to be able to handle a user using the browser buttons.
    Thanks!

  • Setting a deployment context when using the embedded OC4J

    I'm trying to debug a servlet using the embedded OC4J server. I have a simple project that includes a servlet source file and and a web.xml file. The web.xml file defines context
    parameters that I want the servlet to read and use when it is deployed. However I don't know
    how to get JDeveloper to set up the servlet context on the debugging environment to use the
    contents of the web.xml file. Could anyone tell me how to do this? I cannot see how to
    do this from the help files.
    Many thanks in advance

    The trick is to ensure that you use a 'Project with Web Module' rather than
    'Empty Project' and then add a new 'HTTP Servlet'. When you do this
    JDeveloper automatically creates a web.xml file. You can add context
    parameters, or practically any other configuration items by right clicking
    on the web.xml tree node inthe system navigator and selecting settings.
    The web.xml file is saved into the directory specified by the 'HTML Root Directory' on the 'Input Paths' panel in the project settings dialog.

  • Need to select link twice when using Browser back button

    I see that my command_link works fine in normal scenarios.
    But when I come to that page using browser back button and then select the link within the page.... the first time, looks like its regenerating the page and only when I select the link second time it is calling the action listener associated with the link.
    Any clue as to how to fix this problem?
    Thanks

    use the following lines in your web.xml to avoid this bug of the current jsf-ri version.
    <context-param>
    <param-name>javax.faces.STATE_SAVING_METHOD</param-name>
    <param-value>client</param-value>
    </context-param>I already tried to report this bug some time ago:

  • First words are lost when using Bluetooth voice de...

    This happens with any Nokia Nxx or Exx when used with bluetooth HF device, like Nokia HF-300. Is there any solution to this problem? In practice you can hardly use any navigation with bluetooth voice. The delay itself is not a problem but the phone should wait 0.x seconds after opening the line to the HF device. It would be nice if you could configure this kind of delay to the phone.

    Is this the case when listening to the radio or music from the phone?
    I'd expect it to pick everything up when listening to music from  the phone as it's on the same channel (A2DP).
    But if you're getting all the nav guidance with a radio mute then that is a huge step forward.
    Usually the problem occurs when there is a delay for the mute of the radio followed by the streaming over mono channel.

  • Form field validation: All required data lost when clicking browser-back-button!

    Hi folks,
    I have a big problem using the validation text  field components of Spry when the user must click the browser back button (or clicking a history.back()-Link) because he has  entered a wrong CAPTCHA-code!
    Right now, all the data - only in the required fields - not in the optional  fields!!! - is lost and the user has to enter all data once  again;-(
    Does anybody know why only the data in the  required fields is lost? Is there a nice workaround?
    I really  appreciate a quick answer:-)
    Kind regards from cloudy Germany
    Thomas

    rememberFormInputs('frmlogin', 'input-');
    'frmlogin' should be the id of page, not the name. so on your <form> tag, add the id="frmlogin"
    remove the
    // overload alert
    function alert(str) {
         var el = document.getElementById('alert');
         if (el) {
              el.value += str+"\r\n";
    Its really bad practice to overwrite the alert. and inside the rememberFormInputs remove these lines:
    alert('old value remembered: '+old_value);
    alert('setCookie: '+name + ' = '+value);
    and it should work

  • PDF does not save filled out fields when using browser

    Hello! I have a couple PDFs that I've uploaded to my website for clients to fill out and download. I'm getting complaints that clients are filling out the form, saving it to their computer, but when re-opening the now saved form, none of the fields are filled out.
    Am I doing something wrong? I've provided the forms to be savable in the security functions, and I tested it myself after downloading the PDF and filling it out in the browser (as it automatically opens in browser), and saving to my PC, I re-open the PDF and it is empty of any of the fields I filled out.
    Please help! This is causing my clients to lose faith in me!
    Thank you!

    Did a battery pull fix your issue? At first it did, however it no longer works
    When writing your question
    Any other details that would help us out with your issue: This issue suddenly occured, my phone is still in good condition (1.5 years old).
    Basically, my issue is whenever I go on the browser (or Opera and Ebay), my phone announces it is out of battery (even when on around 80%) and then shuts off. You can turn it back on with a battery pull, however the same will happen again if you try and go on the internet. Recently, it has got worse, turning off without a warning.
    Anyone else had this issue?

    I have the same problem, mine even shuts down when I'm using the phone. When I plug it to a power source, it comes back on. I was going to post this but decided to see if anyone had this problem, glad I did. I will take your advice and get a new battery and hopefully it will resolve my problem too.
    Thanks.

  • How to prevent creation of view object rows when using browser refresh butt

    HI i have the following problem:
    I have a creation form using a partial submition. The problem is that if i have entered some value by using autosubmit , this value will be setted as attribute in the ViewObject . After that if i click refresh button of the browser then the new Row of the view object will be created and i will have a pending row with setted attribute. So if execute commit then the both rows will be tried to commit. How can i prevent this?

  • Text content lost when using attachments. iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1)

    When I want to add pictures to an email attachment in my iPhone 4, I usually use the Gallery App which gives me the option of sharing them in an email. When the pictures are added to the email, they are added in the body of the email. You have the option of adding text above, between, or below any pictures that you have added. However, when the email is sent and delivered to the recipient, all text between and below any pictures has been stipped away! Very Frustrating!
    Am I doing something wrong or is this just a massive bug?

    Lawrence,
    Thanks for your reply. Good tip, I will check each app.
    To clarify the problem I am having, I use the app named DataMan to monitor my cellular data usage, and it has a screen where it can show on an hour by hour basis which app is using data. I am seeing "Push Service" listed as using 1-5 megabytes every once in a while. I have a 200 MB data plan and this is very adequate for my own usage which is light (no streaming). I have noticed my data usage is higher than ever and the culprit appears to be the Push Service. I have actually reduced my own usage.
    Thanks again,
    Maurice

  • Avoiding applet main window resizing when using browser zoom?

    Hello, I haven a applet embedded into a jsp page into an APPLET tag, with a fixed height and width, same values as the JPanel has on the applet with all the elements inside of it, my problem is, that if I use the browser zoom, the JPanel respects width and height but JApplet window does not, and increases until I stop zooming the site, I'd like to avoid this, I already tried by setting these parameters on the init function on the JApplet class:
    this.setSize(593, 468);
    this.setMaximumSize(new Dimension(593,468));
    this.setMinimumSize(new Dimension(593,468));
    this.setBounds(0, 0, 593, 468);
    this.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(593,468));
    But it does not work, is there something like a this.setResizable(false) for the JApplet class? I understand that JApplet is a subclass of JFrame isn't? please, any idea would be highly appreciated, have a nice day!!

    So far I have the layout as NULL,Java doesn't have a NULL. Presumably you have a null layout. Don't do that/ Learn how to use layout managers and maybe you won't have a problem with the container being resized.

  • Format lost when using template

    I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 on my Windows XP PC
    I have been following a Dreamweaver tutorial found at http://www.thesitewizard.com which has been very helpful up until now. I am at the stage where I have created my template from my index.html document now saved as index.dwt
    I have created the standard editable regions, saved, closed and created a New file from the "Page from Template" using the newly created index.dwt file.
    Here is what the index.dwt template file looks like in my internet browser preview and in DW...
    and here is what the index.html file looks like in the browser preview and in DW ...
    The layout is gone, and the editable regions are at the bottom of the locked template regions.
    I have tried to place a link to my temp webserver but it only shows a directory tree and the index file appears much different then the images above so I hope these images are enough to go on.
    Thanks in advance for any assitance.

    You're welcome.  Just to be clear -
    All links in a TEMPLATE file should be one of three kinds -
    1.  Relative to the template file, e.g.,
    <a href="../ (meaning that you must go up one level from the template folder
    to reach the root of the site, hence all other files, since none of them
    should be in the templates folder)
    2.  Relative to the site root, e.g.,
    <a href="/ (meaning that one would begin looking for the linked file at the
    root of the site and follow the pathing from that point)
    3.  Absolute, e.g.,
    <a href="http:// (meaning that the link is to a page external to the site).
    If you see any DOCUMENT RELATIVE LINKS that don't begin with "../" in a Template file, you can be sure that something is wrong.

  • Open previously viewed Tabbed Panel when using browser back button

    I have a page containing SPRY tabbed panels, and was wondering if there was a way that if a user navigates back to this page using the browser back button, the last panel viewed could remain open. Using hash tags in the URL works for Mozilla but not for IE8. Here is the sample page: http://www.davidkneale.com/wcusa/expedition_leader.html
    Does anyone know how I can get this to work in IE8?

    Perhaps you missed the announcement that Adobe is no longer investing in the development of Spry. See: http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2012/08/update-on-adobe-spry-framework-availability.htm l.
    There used to be a dedicated Spry forum, but it has been changed to read-only.
    Spry isn't exactly dead, but nor is it in the best of health. Add to that the fact that IE 8 doesn't support the HTML5 history management API, and the lack of replies isn't really surprising.
