HuffYUV problem and video encoding

I have a dilemma. Adobe Premiere CS6 or Adobe Media Encoder, do not support variable framerate. So now I have to convert my videos to a constant framerate without losing any quality.
I'm aware of Lagarith but nothing encodes to it. ALL of the encoders I mainly use support HuffYUV, and they encode it way faster than something like VirtualDub. It's many hours of video. I thought Adobe Media Encoder would solve it, but it turns out that didnt support converting variable framerate to constant. So my audio and video are out of sync in premiere.
I cant really get it into Lagarith so I probably just need to somehow use HuffYUV, anybody know of a HuffYUV plugin for premiere or something?

You shouldn't need a plug-in for that to work, as long as the codec in installed on the system.

hi,
i don't know a lot about FlasCC but i think it might be possible to write a fast video encoder with it from c++ library?
I want a cross-platform solution to encode bitmapdata to video (mp4 or standard format). Right now i use native extension and it's a pain in the a** to import to android, windows, mac etc etc.
Is there anything that i'm not aware that would be able to encode bitmapdata to video like a ffmpeg port to swc from flasCC or something like that ?
I know there a FLV Writer that was made with alchemy some years ago but it only create flv and flv is not a standard format (iOS and Android can't open those format).
Any help on that matter will REALLY help me in my current project as my project create video from bitmapdata.

The easiest solution would be to use ffmpeg in SWC. But so far I didn't get an answer here / don't understand why when I export ffmpeg to SWC it keeps reporting stack overflow(when compiled as SWF it works fine with their example). If this could be resolved it would be pretty easy to convert to mpeg4 or other ffmpeg supported formats, with ffmpeg SWC library wrapped with a custom wrapper. I poked with ffmpeg some more, and when compiling with -O4 my example compiled without any stack overflow. The sample is trivial (encoding some MPEG1 dummy frames), but the library didn't crash with stack overflow. The only other side is the swf size jumps ~+1MB. So I guess the other task would be to write simple AS3<->ffmpeg wrapper, and understand/implement their muxing examples.
If ffmpeg swc doesn't work, I'd say it would have to be the same route I took with ogg...e.g. getting specialized encoder, like http://www.videolan.org/developers/x264.html, attaching a custom wrapper for Flash for addFrame, encode etc. Btw. I did manage to make my OGG encoder async, basically calling addFrame every frame like the FLV encoder does. x264 is of course it's a video stream only, not mpeg4 container. Libtheora produces OGV file, so there it wasn't an issue.
So additionally this means getting a specialized mp4 muxer. I googled around and happened to find: http://gpac.wp.mines-telecom.fr/mp4box/ - it's a commnad line tool and from the source code this appears to do the job. But of course, thats another lib to compile for FlasCC (edit: this wouldn't be necessary if ffmpeg will work without other issues as I wrote above).
Finally about speed, depends on what you need - in my app I'm replaying some animation and capturing a 800x450 container. Comparing to the trivial Alchemy FLV lib I've been using before it's a bit slower but still fine - on my machine(3 years old pretty cheap laptop) -
FLV encoding: ~11fps
OGG encoding: ~7.3fps
So all in all, depends how you want to use it but surely it wouldn't be an easy job I've got also some paid/personal projects ongoing, i'd be willing to look into this further out of curiosity as well but only for good compensation - this is a bit hardcore(either solving stack overflow creating wrapper for ffmpeg and adapt their muxing example for it, or making mp4box work). Playback problems and video freezes due to plugins being used on video clips?

I am editing with Premiere, and dealing with playback issues and video freezes as I apply plugins to each video clip. Not sure how to fix this problem. I am a mac user, but I cannot upgrade my graphics card, so I am wondering how to fix this issue.

hi again, i just noticed the the cover flow bug has a connection with video. the controls while playing video affect video. the iTunes Copy i have is bug up. please help me before it gets worse.

IDVD video encode error when burning to DVD

I am trying to burn a new copy of a project I successfully burned to DVD 2 years ago. I have not changed the source material. After the menu renders and video encoding begins I immediately get an error message "video encoding error." There are no menu warnings. All video is successfully previewed. Nothing has changed from the previous burn. The project info box shows all video and audio properly encoded and present.
What gives?

The way from FCE or FCP has been the same for me for lot's of years since FinalCut 1.2.5 I think (was no Express or Pro then)
And QuickTime Conversion never worked for me - I guess You were lucky two years ago.

• Not as Self-Contained (not important but saves time and space)

I set a minimum of 25GB (for Mac OS and iDVDs temp files)

• One can not go back to movie-project for any alterations and then go back to
the iDVD project. It will notice and ask You to either Up-date or Cancel. Neither
of them will work.
Medicine - Start a brand new iDVD project.
Use of Chapters
• I only use a to z and 0 to 9 in naming them. NO other symbol/letter !
• NO Chapter-mark at very beginning - iDVD NEEDS TO set this by it self
• No Chapter marks in or within two seconds from a transition
(Way around this last one - Export movie as QT full quality and NO Chapter marks
Import this into a new Movie-project and now You are free to set C-Ms where You want
them except at very beginning - still)
Material used to build movie
• video - I use streamingDV (or convert all other to this e.g. .mp4, .avi, .wmv etc)
• audio - I use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD (44.1kHz) - no .mp3 or direct from iTunes
• photos - I use .jpg - no .bmp etc
Trash iDVD pref. file and run Repair Permissions - and have a re-try.

May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screen-saving

Hi. I have the same problem using an HTC Incredible Android smartphone. The video/audio not in sync. Slight advance or delay. Not matching. I have the phone set to record as mp4, but when I use the file it says 3gp, so I transcode it to mp4. I have filmed a lot with my smartphone and now I have all this footage for over 6 months that may have this problem so I seriously need to know how to fix this or I have a ton of bad footage showing me in frame talking and it's not going to be right for YouTube videos of selfie-vlogging. So, I need to know the best, most fool-proof, most efficient, time-saving way to process and make it workable without taking too much time. Flash 8 Video Encoder problems

I used Video Encoder to convert a .mpg file. When I imported
it into Flash the audio plays but no picture. I then used IMtoo
MPEG 3 encoder to convert it to an MPEG file. This time I got
picture and audio but the picture and audio were very choppy.
Does anyone have a clue why? Or perhaps suggest another app
that will convert the file to another format that I would have
better success converting to .flv without degradation?

Flash video encoder and OS X

I have Adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder on my Mac OS X and am trying to convert movies to .flv files. They encode OK, but on playback, the movies are consistently cut off in the middle. Seems other folks are having this problem and are getting no answers from Adobe. Some have said that Flash Video Encoder won't work correctly with Mac 0S X at all and that you have to encode videos using it on Windows. That seems ridiculous to me. Does anyone know anything about this or possible workarounds? Apparently, the issue also occurs with Flash 8's Video Encoder. I need to make flash videos!

Flas 8 video encoder problem

I have the encoder installed on two machines. On one machine
it won't run because it can't install itself it says which seems to
be a fairly common problem. On my other machine it does run!!!!
<G> Anyway, I have tried encoding 7 different wmv files and
they all successfully encode (at least I don't get any errors. When
I try to play them on my machine the flash player starts up but all
I get is a white screen with no movie. Anywone have any

Problem with Macromedia Flash 8 Video Encoder

I have got the trial version of Macromedia Flash 8
(professional). I have no problem running the Macromedia Flash but
when I tried to run the Macromedia Flash 8 Vedio Encoder for the
First time, as it was trying to install the Encoder it gives me an
error as it cannot locate an installation file.
This is the message I am getting in the pop-up message as the
installation stops:
The feature that you are trying to use is on the network
resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an
alternate to a folder containing the installation package

I tunes 7.3.1 Video problems and Lock-ups

Anyone else having this problem, I tunes 7.3.1 installed on Vista either locks up immediately or if i try to play a video the audio will run fin but the video is very choppy and can not keep up with the audio at all, and eventually will freeze then I tunes will have to be forced to close.

I have this exact same problem and it is very annoying. I don't understand how to check if the drive is SATA or RAID or what the significance of the rest of the conversation is. Did this solve the problem for you? If so can you help my solve it on my computer?

I recently had to swap out my iphone 4s and I am having problems restoring photos and videos from icloud. I get a message on my phone that says " the URL you are requesting is not found on this server". Pics and videos have been deleted too.

I recently had to swap out my iphone 4s and I am having problems restoring photos and videos from icloud. When I restored my phone from icloud, half of my pics and videos have been deleted, the pics that were restored on my phone are very blurry, and the videos won't play. I get a message on my phone that says " the URL you are requesting is not found on this server". I have erased and reset my phone twice, but every time I do it, more pics and videos are deleted. I have backed up to icloud and iphoto, however, some of the pics are no longer on iphoto either. Is there someway to get the videos to play on my phone again? Make the photos not as blurry as they are now and to restore the pics and videos that have been lost? I really would love to have them back, this phone is supposed to be the best and right now it doesn't seem to be. Please help if you can.

I am having consistant problems w/ my mb pro freezing for 20-60 seconds while working in different programs and apps. i've upgraded my RAM to 8gigs and deleted over 60 gig of pics and videos to try to help, but nothing seems to work.

I've now been having this problem for months. It just freezes up and either shows me the dumb color wheel or doesn't show me anything sometimes and i just cant do anything for about 20-60 seconds. i can't exposae or anything. Also while working on a power point presentation it froze 4 different times for good and i had to do a hard restart just to get it working again. i lost my work and had to keep starting over. it was so annoying. it seems most of the time it does it, it is while i'm in Excel, Outlook, or Powerpoint. so perhaps it has something to do with my microsoft office. but i have the newest version and all the updates and everything. and i believe its happened when doing other tasks too. So i just can't figure it out.
A few Mac friends suggested i free up some space on my hard drive and upgrade my RAM. So i did. i put all my videos and photos on an external harddrive and deleted them all on my computer. i also upgraded to 8 gigs of RAM.
And honestly i can't even tell a difference after doing both of these.
HELP! PLEASE HELP! I'M ABOUT TO GO CRAZY. And having all the non Mac believers telling me it cause i have a Mac even drives me more nuts..

it froze a few times over the last hour and half while browsing the internet.
and also while working in excel it all of the sudden shut down excel and said. "Excel has encountered and problem and needs to shut down, you may lose the work you were on." or something like that. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME TOO. Excel, outlook and powerpoint frequently just shut down on me out of now where. I've bolded and underlined when this happened.

Problems installing Bridge and Media Encoder in CS6

I recently installed Creative Suite CS6 Design & Web Premium. I had previously installed the CS5 version and had not un-installed it. Everything except Acrobat appeared to install correctly. When I opened Photoshop CS6 (64-bit) I noticed that it used the CS5 version Bridge. I went into Bridge and unchecked the open at start box, closed Bridge and Photoshop and re-opened Photoshop CS6 (64-bit). When I tried to lunch Bridge from Photoshop the following message appeared in the Desktop> panel : Waiting for Bridge CS6..." Bridge CS6 did not appear despite waiting for several minutes. I then pressed the Start button and went into the Programs listing. Under the Adobe CS6 group I found all of the applications (other than Acrobat) but Bridge CS6 (64-bit), Bridge CS6, and Media Encoder each had generic icons rather than the expected relevant Adobe icons. I tried to load each of the three by clicking on the icon. In each instance the following message appeared:
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher.
My system is a Gateway FX6802. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium version 6.1.7601, Service Pack 1, Build 7601. The system has 9 GB of memory. I ran CS5 on the system and did not experience any difficulty with Bridge.

Thanks. Being the impatient sort (inspite of the problems that can create) I only did a partial uninstall with the cleaner tool, taking out the three items that were not working. Initially that seemed not to work. As I had other non-Adobe projects to take care of I put it out of mind. I even let an updatee package do its wonders. Today I used Photoshop for a quick project. I clicked on the Launch Bridge button and lo and behold the proper icon showed up and Bridge loaded. After finishing my project I closed down Photoshop and Bridge and then went through updating once more. The other problem I was having was with Acrobat. I finally traced the problem to a bad installation of Acrobat 9 at the CS4 level. (Shows you how much I use Acrobat.) I used the cleaner tool to clean up the remnants of CS4. After that Acrobat X installed quite nicely. At this point everything seems to be working as it should. Thanks for your help.

Premiere Pro CS6 importing/ audio and video problems

I recently recorded gameplay from my xbox, when i open this recording using windows media player it states that the video is 3 hours 30 minutes long, which is correct, when i then import this into premiere pro, premiere pro changes it to be 5 hours and 44 minutes long, when i then play this back it plays in slow motion and audio and video start to desync, i thought it may just be the source editor playing up so i made a clip and put it into the timeline and it still had the same outcome. The speed/duration are still on 100% so im not sure what to do, anyone have any idea as to what this is, or why it is happening?

What are the attributes of your PVR video...
