Hyperlinks not viewable by google

I have been trying to generate back links to my website (made using iweb) and have created several links to external websites using the "inspector" hyperlink creator in iweb. The owner of one of these external web sites contacted me and advised that my link to their web site is in javascript format and will therefore not be picked up by google (not so good for reciprocal linking!)
I checked the source code of the relevant my web page and sure enough the link to this particular web site reads: <a onclick =....>. I understand that a standard html type link should read <a href=....>. I note that some of the hyperlinks in my website are in fact in standard html format, and I don't why some are in javascript and the others are in html format??
My question is 2 fold:
1) how can I make sure that my links are always in standard html format; and
2) how can I convert the javascript link into standard html format?

I also recall from some reading that the HTML snippet will not in itself help solve the problem.
I have been using some RAGE software to help with SEO of my iWeb derived web site. In particular, I use their SEO tool, webcrusher and sitemap automator. If what is mentioned above about the site map works, I am not sure if I have in fact submitted a "complete site map" - including the "page B". I simply use the site map automator and submit this. How will I know if I have the elusive "page B" in the site map?
I have also tried to tackle this in a slightly different way with only partial success. The RAGE SEO tool has a feature that enables you to put HTML code in a text box (not a HTML snippet) and have this HTML code converted after running it through the program. It is primarily designed to create H1 header tags on an iWeb page.
I used this feature to try and create my HTML web link. Rather than the H1 header tag HTML code, I have used the code outlined above: <a href="url of link" target="_blank" Name of link </a>.
This seems to "almost" work. After running the RAGE software, I end up with an active hyperlink on the page. However, when I click on it I end up with error noting that safari cant find the following page:
“/Users/Me/Desktop/Website folder name/”http//www.site I want to get to/”target=”_blank””
The link seems to be looking for the site on my Mac?? Please note that at this stage I have only published my web site on the desktop. Am I getting close to getting this to work, or am I just dreaming?? Would this error go away if I were to publish the site to my host server?
This is all getting quite complicated!!

I am afraid there is a phony site looking exactly like Mozilla. It keeps telling me to update. Each time something bad has happened. I could not get to Google.

Over a period of several weeks I have been getting Fire Fox updates download requests. The first time looked strange, wanted me to download 3 extra things, 1 toolbar, other 2 I forgot. My computer developed so many problems, I had to spend TWELVE HOURS deleting 6 Trojans and 1 worm from the Registry. Next time I could not get to Google, spent hours reinstalling IE. Last time ruined G-Mail, IE spinning round and round, again reinstalling & System Restore. I have been clicking on what should show origin of update and a very authentic website looking like Mozilla comes up. What I don't like is it is insisting my default search engine be changed, among many other things. I tried to contact Support and ask questions thru it but could not get blank to submit. I am afraid to download anymore Fire Fox updates. I have had to spend hours on reinstalling, cleaning, etc. I finally got a blank to submit a question and typed basically what I have here. When I submitted it, it vanished and next page said "Service Unavailable." The pages look very detailed and authentic but I am afraid somebody has been able to duplicate a Mozilla web page. To get here this time I went to Programs in Control Panel and clicked on the hyperlink for Support. The page looks very much the same as the other but the text in the several windows (PC windows, etc,) is darker and smaller. I think I might have to uninstall FireFox but am not sure if I will be able to download it from the authentic website to reinstall it.

Recalling, it definitely was a fake update notification because it had 3 things to install and Mozilla never sends that. The toolbar and some search engine and I don't recall the third, but that was the start of it all. Ever since I have been getting these update notifications. I took you guys advice and used a link provided and went to Fire Fox and downloaded an upgrade. I bookmarked that link and to be safe from now on I will only download it manually from there. It is too bad because for years Fire Fox has been automatically updating but it seems like these phony installers link to a computer and harass them. There was a Google redirect and even a G-mail interference. Next thing I have to do is use those malware and virus cleaners and try and remove any tag links that might be calling these fake update notices. Another one that I think caused trouble is an Adobe Flash Player update. Same thing, Adobe always updated automatically, then it started trying to add these things same as Fire Fox. Thanks everybody, at least I know better what to look out for.

Aio Remote: PDFs not recognized by Google drive.

Aio Remote on iPad Air2 iOS 8.1.1 - I created a PDF on my iPad from my HP Envy 7640 using Aio remote app. In the files/document section it's there (3 pages) as a PDF. But when I upload a copy from Aio Remote to Google Drive it's not recognized by Google Drive as a PDF even though it has a PDF extention. I have other PDF files stored in Google drive that are perfectly fine. It must be something in your app that is the problem.

More info: if I send it from Aio remote as an email attachment to myself I get a PDF that I can upload to Google drive and Google drive reconizes it as a PDF. again proving it is Aio remote that is doing some thing wrong when uploading to Google Drive.

Adobe Muse site not working in Google Chrome

I've figured out If you open it in Chrome on a larger that 15" screen the site will open yet for some reason when I open it in Chrome it recognizes it as tablet and http://focaldesigns.ie/tablet/index.html appears in the tab bar -
I've tried re publishing the site in Muse and updated Chrome updates yet it is still not opening on a 15inch mac in Google Chrome, it is opening in other internet browsers perfectly. Any ideas?

Applet not viewable in browser

applet not viewable in browser any website that uses java code seems not to run on my browser though it runs normally well on my friends computer. The browser shows a screen area in grey colour with an error message like "Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:GUIDemo.class" (im using Win NT4 and IE 5.5) checked the tools/internet options/advanced seettings the browser support is enabled. tried installing the newer version of JRE still not working ..Please guide about any settings that need to be modified or how can i fix this problem ..

Just a thought, but what broswer are you and your friend using? Are they different by any chance?
There is an inconsistency between browsers and java, and unfortunately it can result in the error you saw.
Basically, bog standard Internet Explorer uses its own JVM, whereas Netscape, Mozilla, Opera etc tend to use the java plug-in. To make matters worse, if you install the plug-in on a machine that has Internet Explorer installed, it over-rules the Microsoft version to make itself the default (but this can be undone by looking in the Options menu for Java-plugin and un-ticking the box). Give that a try first.
Another cause that I have encountered was when using NT on a network, which had been configured not to accept Java Applets at all! Are you on such a network, or stand alone?

Deleting event in iCal 5.0.1 not syncing with Google Calendar

When I delete an event from iCal, it does not sync with Google Calendar. However, when I create an event in iCal, it syncs just fine with Google Calendar. Creating and deleting events from Google Calendar syncs fine with iCal. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Recent support call with Google: iCal deleting events still broken. this is big for us. We have users that have accounts for and/or subscribe to multiple calendars, and took a while to teach them to use iCal, so web based calendars will be foreign to them (even though I like the web based). There is no timeline in place according to Google Tech Support. I feel like the issue is really Apple's issue, so Google is waiting on them to fix, this type of urgency(or lack of) is right up their alley. Oh well.
Does anyone have any suggestions on alternate calendar apps for Mac? Specifically for google calendars?

PDF files created in Pages have text not viewable on PC

I have created a large (7 MB) program for a large conference in Pages. In order to have it printed, I converted it to a PDF. For some reason, some of the text on some pages is not viewable on PCs using Acrobat Pro or Reader - it should be black and is showing as white text.
What could be the problem? This does not happen on all PCs, only some. Has anyone experienced this in the past and is there a solution? Of course, my deadline is rapidly approaching...the conference starts on the 26th. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem when exporting to PDF AND Word files. My document looks great in Pages and in Preview, but half of my text is converted to white when viewed in Acrobat Reader or Word. This is very FRUSTRATING!! I have a deadline approaching, too, and am collaborating with another shop that works on PC's. Any ideas for how to fix this issue are very welcome!

Set up LAMP server, but not viewable from outside.

I set up a LAMP server, followed the guide http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LAMP there. I can view it from localhost or the IP address or the web address http://plaufcan.homeunix.org. But it is not viewable outside of my local network. What else do I have to do?

If your router is showing an external IP address of 192.x.x.x, I am guessing that you are on a DSL line, and that you more than likely used the windows setup software to configure your internet connection.
Basically, when you run the software, many of the modems go into a very dumb router configuration. Your router is picking up a natted ip address from the modem, and using that to update dyndns.

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that you can open your browser and go to http://192.168.2.1 (or alternatively http://192.168.2.254) and you'll get access to the modem. You'll have to find the page that allows it to be set to a bridge. After that, you'll have to set the router up to do any authentication that your ISP requires.
One of the large ISP's in Canada use modems like this for their DSL, and it causes no end of problem when SOHO users add another router. NATted NAT connections do not always play nice.

Hyperlinks not working correctly when converting word doc to Web Page, Filtered

I have created a word document (MS Word 2013) with Table of Contents and their links to particular sections and all the hyperlinks works fine in the word document. But when I convert this document into Web Page, Filtered then after a specific point
the hyperlinks not pointing to their respective sections instead they are pointed to the end of the page.
I have checked the page source of the HTML document and found that the table of contents have hyper links but the respective sections doesn't have the hyper link code and hence click on the a section didn't find the that section and go to the end
of the document.
I have tried to convert into PDF and hyperlinks worked fine.
Please advise me how to resolve this issue.

My Word 2007 hyperlinks not showing up in converted PDFs. This, even though I've got the Preferences set correctly (I believe -- see screenshot).

I was printing directly to the Adobe PDF Printer. This is how I've always done it (for years). It always worked before.
I forgot all about going to the ribbon and attempting it that way — it worked!

Leopard mail.app jpg attachments not viewable

Some PDF and Jpg attachment are not viewable in the message and a blue cube with white question marks appear in both sending, sent and received emails. This is a new phenomenon which started last week.

I have solved the problem on my mac:
1- Save the attachment to the Desktop.
2- Press CMD+I in the file
3- Change the "Open With" option to another app.
4- Change the "Open With" option to the desired app (Preview to Imagens antd PDF's...)
5- Choose "Change All"
6- Press OK.
Now i can see the images and PDF's on my mail's body.

Video not viewable when published

I have tried posting a video to the web. I have used the podcast pages and the movie page. Neither one works. I called apple, and the guy that I talked to said that it might be a size issue. So, I tried posting a very small version of the video, and it still was not viewable once published.
What appears when I click on the page is a transparent quicktime "Q" with a question mark over it. When I tried publishing the video as a podcast the rss that iweb assigned was the address. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

What format is the video? I have uploaded a 50MB (just to test I could do it) video to iweb pages exported from imovie '06 and also used Quicktime to compress for web. Visual Hub is also good for compressing videos for the web.

Folks, my web site that was designed with PHP language, Dreamweaver CS4 on Windows Xp Pro but it is still not viewable on the Internet and I need help on how to fix this problem from any one that could help me resolve this issue. My web site hosts that I tried to use for hosting my web site, could not help me solve the problem some claimed that they are not web designers. I need help from any one that could help. A test page was viewable on windows web host server but did not Linux, or Unix but the entire was upload to windows web host server it becan unviewable. Please help me get this right.
1. What am i doing wrong?
2. How can I fix it?
3. Or, what do I need to do that could make it work?
As of now, I have cancelled my web host for this reason.

Because you did it wrong? It's hard to know unless you tell us what you did.
What should work:
Select the photos you want to share
File -> Export and export them to a folder on the desktop. Burn that to the disk with the Finder.
