I am entering my apple username and password but it is not being recognised. I have entered my correct date of birth but it is not recognising that either.
I am having trouble updating the apps on my I=-phone because nothing I enter is recognised. I enter the e-mail address originally used and the correct password but it says it doesn't recognise this. I have also tried to re-set the password but it says it is sending me an e-mail to do this but it never comes. I have set up a new user ID and password but don't know how to transfer that so it updates my I-phone. Any ideas?
You're going to have to call Apple and ask for Account Security in order to get this straightened out.

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -
I am unable to connect to my RackSpace Windows Server via ARD. I have added a computer entering the ip address, username, and password but I can't establish a connection. I am missing a setting or to step that is different in ARD?
ARD only works with Windows computers if the Windows computer is running VNC server software. Even then it can only control and observe. Do you have this installed?

You are getting this message because you are attempting to create an iCloud account on a PC. You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher. After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account on your PC.

Changing apple username and password on your iPad
Some water got into my iPad 1. I put it away in a drawer and bought the iPad 2. About eight months later I came across the first iPad, so I plugged it in. Sure enough it started working again. It had all my info on it and I want to give it to my grandkids. How would I take my apple username and password off of it?
I would say your best bet for this would be for you to do a update and restore in iTunes on a computer to make sure none of your info is on the device. If you do not feel comfortable with that then you can sign out of the iTunes store and App store by going into Settings > (iTunes and App) Store > View Account > Sign Out

You can not create an iCloud account using a PC, set the account up on a Mac or an iPhone/iPad, then you will be able to sign into it on your PC.

I used to have the @apple.com apple ID. Everything was working fine, but then one day I entered my password and it was incorrect. I tried to reset it but nothing was working. Then I tried to "forgot my Apple ID" on iForgot and found that it was automatically changed to @mac.com. I entered my Apple ID and Password but then it gave me "your Apple ID is locked for security reasons". I tried resetting my password but I don't think I had put any recovery email and apparently I entered a wrong Date of Birth.
What should I do to re-access my Apple ID?

I just got off the phone with apple.
I have to call 800-MY-APPLE and try to verify my Apple ID using my old password and a serial number from a device on which I used my Apple ID. Oh and @apple.com never existed, I have no idea how it got on my phone :|

The first time I ran into this I went ahead and set up another account for my self but am still getting the same message. What do I need to do?you need to review the account and verify it, including payment method. If there's no option that states 'none' next to the creditcard options, you'll need to use a creditcard for this.

Please try to sign in at https://appleid.apple.com
Check if your new username/email address is verfied
If this works, delete your account on your iPhone (Settings > iCloud)

I reset my apple id and password but my old id still comes up basically telling me it hasn't been reset and keeps me from logging in on various things. Any help would be appreciated
In the Settings app
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on the Apple ID that shows there > Sign Off
Then sign in again with the correct Apple ID and password.
I'm not sure by what you meant by "reset you Apple ID" if you signed up for a new ID all of the apps you downloaded for free or purchased will still be connected to your old ID. You will need to enter that ID and password to update those apps. -
I have tried to change the smtp username and password but I am not able to even click on the areas to change them. Any suggestions?
Some other thoughts .....
Are you sure there's not an issue on the Yahoo server? Have you checked your email on a computer or via a web browser on the iPad like Safari?
If there is no issues on the server side, the options in my mind are.....
Delete the email account and start over
Reset all settings>Settings>General>ResetAll Settings - you erase all settings on the iPad and start over
Restore from a backup.
Just wait until a little later - or tomorrow and see if you can connect again.
If you just started experiencing this issue today, and if you are a regular iPad backup person (I do it every single day) then you can restore from a backup from yesterday, the day before or from whenever your most recent backup is dated.
You said that you have two other accounts that will not work either so maybe resetting the settings would be the first thing to try. You should be able to at least enter the correct information again if you reset the settings.
I mysteriously lost the ability to connect with one of my email accounts some months ago. I deleted the account and went nuts trying to add it back to the device and I could not get it to work again. I deleted it again and restored from my backup and all was good to go again. Your backups contain your email settings so when I restored from the backup, it restored the email account settings and it worked again. -

There is no workaround to Activation Lock. -

You can try to figure out which Apple ID/email address and/or password you used to activate it by going to http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't, you'll need to contact Apple Account Security with your proof of purchase. -
My I pad broke after only a few months and now they won't mend it as they say they can't get in as my i cloud password not working. I never even set one up? I have an apple id and password but that's not enough for them to get in.
