Phillipp,
I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

Everytime I try to purchase Mountain lion from the App store it tells me that iTunes has changed their terms and agreements, in order to proceed I need to read and agree to them, yet no pop up window appears to do just that!!

if i open firefox and use it, when i get to last window and close it, if i try to reopen it, it says already open and to close pages but it will not close--the same box keeps coming back
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== first time i loaded it onto new computer with win 7 64 bitFirefox v 3.6.3 running Win 7 Home premium. About every 6th or 7th time I go to open Firefox from my desktop I receive the same msg as the original poster receives. I must restart to clear up the problem. When I select restart it states a forced shutdown is required and asks if I want to proceed. I click yes, the computer restarts and problem is fixed until the next occurrence.
My thanks for any assistance that may be available.
If you require a screenshot let me know, please include instructions on how to do this though. -
This happens everytime i boot up and try to open firefox first thing. It has done this for some time but i never noticed because i was using safari.
There are several possible causes for this error, for details see the [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]] article.

How can I get Firefox to display 'preview in browser' Dreamweaver Web-page files?
I chose Firefox as the primary browser for Adobe Dreamweaver's 'Preview in Browser' to display Web pages as I develop them. '''Firefox used to work just fine'''. Recently, however, when choosing Firefox to Preview in DW, FF merely opens to my home page. Once opened, FF will not accept/preview any files from Dreamweaver, regardless of how many times I choose to Preview. Safari and others - when selected as the preview browser - display them perfectly.
PPC Mac, OS X 10.4.11, Firefox v. 3.6.21Have you tried the update to Fast Dial, version 4.2.1 or later? It should override the built-in new tab page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fast-dial-5721/ ''(Note: I haven't tested it myself)''
If you are using a similar add-on that isn't the same "Fast Dial", which one is it? -
My 82 year old dad downloaded your latest update and he installed it. He used default installation as he does not know how to do custom. When he started up Firefox, it came up with the dialogue that Firefox is off line and that he was suppose to uncheck work off line Box. i looked through my Firefox and I cannot figure out where that box is. He is 150 miles away from me so I can't really look at his computer.
Use "Alt" key to show menu bar temporarily the on the File menu uncheck "work offline".
You don't always get a message that tells you that you are off-line so even though I hardly ever need it I do install the following because of it's connected/disconnected icons
* '''Work Offline''' :: Add-ons for Firefox<br>https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/work-offline/
You can make Firefox 4.0.1 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)] -
This happens after I have used firefox and exited the program. When I try to reuse the program I get this message. Is there a setting within firefox causing this or ??? I have tried to locate the session running without any luck. Would appreciate any help. I have uninstalled the program and then reinstalled it, but nothing has changed it continues to malfunction.

I am using FF4 to download some .nzb files. I just want it to open the appropriate application when I click to download the .nzb file. Instead, I get prompted each time. this wasn't a problem on beta FF4. I also verified my application settings. Also, not a problem in Chrome or IE . . .
I finally found a solution to this problem. Simply install the InlineDisposition extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/inlinedisposition/
Sites like Binsearch will now load nzb files into Newsbin (or any other usenet reader) automatically without the user getting the "What should Firefox do with this file?" prompt every time after you've already checked "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" -
I am using an application for banking with Bank of America that doesn't work with Firefox 6 so I need to install Firefox 5 until Bank of America can update their app to work with Firefox 6. Can you tell me how to find the download for Firefox 5?
Thank youI have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

Firefox says I should update asap but never finishes. I don't get an error message, instead it just continues with a message underneath saying it's trying to connect but never does.
If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
This has been going on off and on for probably the last year.

Up until about a week ago I have not had a single internet connectivity problem. Then, all of the sudden airport will no longer connect and it keeps telling me that "Airport has self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the internet." I did not change any settings, I didn't touch anything and all of the sudden it just will not connect anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:)
These steps often sort out this problem...
System Preferences > Network
Select the AirPort from the left hand side
Click on the Locations combo box and select Edit Locations...
Click on + to add a new location, call it "Home" (or anything else you prefer)
Click on Advanced
Select the AirPort tab and enter your network name
Select TCP/IP tab.
Configure IPv4 Using DHCP
Now click on Renew DHCP Lease. After a few seconds you should get an IP address (probably 192.168.x.x)
Click on Proxies tab.
Select Auto Proxy Discovery and Use Passive FTP
Click on OK and Apply, etc.

I am not sure what more I can tell you. I close firefox. So when I click on the icon it should allow me to open it again but I get a message that says it is already running. Either close it out which I can't do since I already did that or restart the computer.
Try holding control, alt and delete down in succession and then a dialogue box will appear with windows task manager. Once open click on the Processes Tab and look for firefox.exe. Highlight this and then click end process. It should come up with a warning but just click Yes. This should then close firefox and allow you to reopen it from your desktop without shutting down your computer. Hope this helps.
