I download a show, such as TNT Men of a Certain Age and it stops playing a few minutes later.
When I start watching a TV show, ANY TV show, such as TNT networks Men of a Certain Age, or the In Touch network, etc. The program starts but then stops and the circle keeps cycling but the show stops. The videos stop. There is no crash notice, nothing.
Similar issues here.
I purchased five movies for download and having nothing but problems getting them downloaded. I keep receiving error messages and the download stops and I have to restart it, just to get another minute worth of download with each restart. Now Apple has my money and I have nothing.

When I download videos (from an external hard drive), they appear to be downloaded (file sizes look correct) but they all stop playing a few minutes in!
Try the following in the terminal
ls -alh filename
du -chs filename
And what happens if you play the files directly of the external drive? -
I was downloading the software update for ipod touch 2gen and after it was done downloading it showed that there was an error with my ipod and when i saw it was on the lockscreen loading. its been like this for 4 hours already
What did the error message say?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

I get a little way into the film (just 4 minutes this time!) and it stops playing or downloading. The remaining download time changes continually and will say anything from 6 minutes to 11 hours! My laptop shouldn't be the problem as it is under a year old and I haven't experierienced any other running problems with it... I hope I will not be charged for the film !!
I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items. -

Since downloading 8.1.3 onto my iPad, video streaming through my Apple TV freezes after a few minutes whilst audio continues as usual. Anyone experienced this and if so, is there a fix?

Download whole podcast but only play a few minutes
Every week a download a show called "Good news week" (it is an Australia show), which is a 50 min show. But is the past two weeks when I download the 87.2mb podcast (which is usally for a 50min show)Only 10 minutes will play, I have watched the download and it does download the whole show but I can't watch the whole show.
Is it the podcast or my Itunes? I love this show it is my comedy releif for the week.Hey I have the exact problem too, it IS a problem with the podcast not your computer/ itunes, as it has happened with ep 28 as well. I think that they are doing this on purpose to make people watch the show on tv . they used to have good news week on tv shows but no body downloaded so they took it offline. Now in an effort to make more money off advertisers I think they are only giving the first 10 minuts or so (just the intro's) notice how it ends at the start of the first ad break?
Hopefully they will bring back full episodes because now that the chasers have ended this is my only comedy vodcast -
This is incredibly frustrating - we had a IPhone 4s that had no problems here for about 7 monts. We have a new IPhone 4s and recently a new IPad 2. Ever since the mandatory switch to using the Podcasts App for iOS based products (my PC laptop works fine), the podcasts will say "cannot be downloaded at this time" and will stream for 30 seconds to a few minutes, then abruptly start over at the beginning. We cannot fast forward ahead properly in the new clunky interface, and the secondary screen where you get to see the "tape player" going through podcast does not skip when you move the timer icon anywhere in the podcast. It is though they are running in parallel.
We are talking podcasts by the BBC, NPR, etc and the Lenovo doesn't have any issues bc the whole system is inside ITunes.

Im not sure wether I got you right or not. But my advice/s would be as follows:
These steps help you get rid of old apps you downloaded years ago and you do not use anymore.(Also frees space on your mac after emptying the trash)
1) go to iTunes and delete all applications in it. Make sure to move them to trash! Do not empty your trash yet. Its your backup if step 3 doesnt appear.
2) connect both your devices(one after each other) and make a backup. !!!Dont press the Sync button, press the Back Up Now Button
3) Then it asks you if you want to backup applications as well. Confirm. (This is how apps get transferred manually)
4) Then Sync your devices... The first time it might be, that there are some additional apps loaded to your devices you dont want to.. delete them on your Device (not iTunes) and after that you should be good every time you sync again.
5) now you can empty your trash on your mac.
Further,
- You should regularly connect your devices with iTunes to make sure they are backed up. (Even if you have activated iCloud backup, the iTunes backup is more proper i.e.. Apps)
- If you hate scrolling through a list of apps in iTunes, you can re/install apps directly on iOS not via iTunes. I absolutely never go to the "Applications" section in iTunes. I install and delete apps directly on iOS.

after ios 5 the ipod that changed to music shows all my songs but they are greyed out and will not play
did uncheck all music and resynced afterwards. Got all my music back on the phone. Next morning, the phone had greyed out 1/3 of the songs all by itself. Seems to have something to do with syncing over wifi. No solution yet other than resyncing all my playlists one by one,
Combined with a battery that drained 5% every 5 minute before I reset the network settings, I am not impressed with Apple's premature launch of their new os. This is what beta testing is for, folks. The iPhone should be done with the growing pains. Shame.

If you have to delete apps in order to download the video chances are you still do not have enough free space on your iPhone for that video to run smoothly.
