i have a hp pavilion Tx 1000 am selling on ebay i been ask twice if the laptop is a touchscreen, this laptop on the bottom it only say hp pavilion Tx 1000 nothing else the s/n and the part #. also havs hp hstnn- q22c, i want to find out if is a touch screen and why the pen? any help is appreciated thanks.

reinstal OS ,,, do a format during instaltion of windows,, hope that will mk everything fine

When OS X asks you to restore a backup, it will allow you to select what you want to restore from the backup, Just select the things you need, because if you select everything, you will be in the same status as before restoring the Mac to factory settings. This has nothing to do with erasing the hard drive

No the pages will open as separate documents in Expert Mode. You really need Acrobat or possibly you could copy and paste the contents into MS word. Then re-save as PDF.

For anyone that comes across this. I managed to fix the problem. It had something to do with the date on my computer. Mavericks installer apparently does a date check of some sort and that is where the error is coming from. Open terminal and check the system date. It may be wrong. Another poster in the forums told me how to to check the date and change it. Click here for the link to the explanation. Be careful because the date is in a weird format.

I don't know what you mean by 'extra charged' (have you made in-app purchases within the app, or are you in the US and need to add on your state's sales tax to the listed price ?), or have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

So, sometimes when the screen starts to get dim in order to lock, I immediately touch the keypad to avoid locking the laptop, the result is a black screen appears with no responding to anything from pressing the keyboard to pressing the touchpad. It takes few minutes for the laptop to open again and then a message appears saying that there was a problem with the lock security.
What is happening exactly?

It sounds like your sleep timers are set to too low of a value. Go to System Preferences -> Energy Saver and set both timers to longer times. The computer sleep timer should be a longer time than the display sleep timer.

You have likely purchased it twice in that case, unfortunately Apple's policy is that all sales are final. If you wish to appeal to them, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
