However, for photoshop it says I need to update the application. When I check in Lightroom under check for updates, it says my software is up to date. Why is this happening?

But there isn't really an update process for Lightroom other than to install the newer version. The 5.7.1 update had some bug fixes and support changes for a Sony camera, I believe.

Go to Solution.Check Windows Device Manager for yellow cautions for all BB and Rim Drivers and try to update if so, try to update anyway if no cautions.
If the above does not help you should uninstall all drivers for BB or RIM listed in Device Manager, click View on the Menu in Device Manager then Show hidden devices.
The drivers are usually found in these places, BlackBerry, Disk drives, DVD/CD, Modems (Standard modem only), Network Adapters, Ports.
Once all are uninstalled unplug your phone if it was plugged in and power OFF your computer (not restart), power ON your computer and wait 5 to 10 minutes before plugging in your phone.
Once you plugin your device wait another 10 min. before doing anything, BB software is slow and Windows is slow to recognize it so time is needed for drivers to install properly. -
I have subscribed to the student package and I also received a confirmation SMS saying that the amount has been deducted. But when I sign in through creative cloud, it shows that I am still running on a trial version. Why is that?

I have photoshop cc. Now I see an offer for lightroom and photoshop for a lower price. Can I subscribe to that service instead of just photoshop cc? I currently pay $19.95 for just photoshop.
Ron , You need to contact Adobe Customer Support, then cancel current Photoshop single app subscription and then subscribe to Creative Cloud Photography subscription -$9.99 , it includes both Photoshop as well Lightroom and lightroom mobile apps.

Hi there, I have MacBook Air (Mid 2012) with OSX 10.8.2. I want to update to latest OSX but it is saying that I need to first install MBA Flash Firmware Update 1.1. When I try to install this firmware, I am told I should have OSX 10.8.3, Each one asking other to update first, can some one help me in this regard ?
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.

If I buy Lightroom and Photoshop CC will I be able to use the applications on both my PC and my Mac?
I have been using Photoshop CS3 for many years and finally decided it was time to upgrade. I use a Mac at home and a PC at work and also have an iPad Air. Are the Lightroom and Photoshop CC Apps compatable with both platforms or would I need to purchase two different memberships? I would obviously not use both at the same time.
Yes, you can use your two activations with your membership for either Mac or PC just as I am doing. I have a Macbook and Windows 7 laptop, and both work well.

My ipad has been a little glitchy for the last couple of weeks....not able to load pages because of DNS lookup failure and really slow loading...some of which has to do with the DSL service I have, but I followed the directions on one of the Apple wi-fi issues pages to reset network all connections..which I did, and now the Ipad cannot connect to WiFi because it will not accept (or cannot resolve..or??) password. I am sure I am typing the password correctly and have tried it on several routers..and it cannot cannect to any router properly even with the correct password. My laptop is connected just fine and it accepts the password and I have confirmed the password with the ISP and tried other routers.
So the question is what should I do if I am entering the right password and the Ipad can't sign itself on to the Wifi network?Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I have been given an old ipod classic from a friend at work for my 3 year old to have to listen to her Disney songs on. I have tried but I can't get it to sync to my iTunes at all. The computer recognises that there is a device there but it won't link up. I have changed cables as I wasn't using an apple one but I managed to find one. From what I understand is that the device will show up in iTunes but it will not allow you to synchronize media over to the device even after you reset the device. When you say you reset the device, do you mean you restored the device in iTunes? What error message you are getting when attempting to synchronize media? -

I have used lightroom trial before, and I found it good. So i joined the lightroom and photoshop yesterday. Problem downloading the student edition of Lightroom and Photoshop cs6
I purchased the new lightroom and photoshop in August 2013. Because I purchased the student one I had to send a picture of my student ID card to prove I was a student and a bunch of other things to say which school I go to. Its now Feb 2014 and neither of them are downloaded to my computer and I never got a confirmation email back from adobe.
When It gives me the option to put my serial number in the boxes I always run short.
Has anyone else had this problem? please help me. I don't think I can return them now.
