today I recive a new application for iPhoto
so when I want to make a update appear a maybe old ID e-mail addrese and pasword
I buy this Mac by second hand store in Tokyo Japan
I need how I have to do to install a new update of iPhoto.
if some body know please help me.

Sign in and out of your Apple ID

Basically, sign out of the Apple ID that is currently being used on the Mac. Then sign in using your own Apple ID. The old Apple ID is of no use to you.

However I only have one account. I've tried to sign out and in several times. But it doesn't work. I do remember changing my password recently. Secondly I'd like to add that I got this macbook air 3 days ago. I'm a first time mac user. It had three updates initially. Mountain lion 10.8.2, iphoto and the imovie. I updated the mountain lion, thinking I'd get the iphoto and imovie done later. However now this problem has come up. Thanks for responding. Hoping to hear from you soon again regarding this.

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app ? You could try tapping on it and then log back in and then see what id shows for the updates.
But any apps that were downloaded by the previous owner will be tied to their account, and only their account will be able to download updates to those apps - you will need to delete and buy and download them with your own account to be able to download future updates to them.

Do you mean that pink folder w/ the controller icon on it? I lost that too on my N8. Actually, lost all of the folders that came with Anna like Applications & Music. Wish I could get them back as now I can only make the generic yellow folder which isn't as aesthetically appeasing.
However, reading articles on Belle there was a picture of a Belle N8 with the games folder shortcut on the homescreen - so maybe it still exists & I just cannot find it.

I'm not sure what you meant with
password policy not supprted symbol"#" "
is there a # char in your PW or do you mean something else?
A few tips:
1) Did you try to enter your username just plain or in the domainname\userID style? The latter should normally work.
2) Try to use a userID and PW that only exists of "normal" chars (a-z/A-Z/0-9). If you Windows password policy do not allow those simple passwords, get in contact with your NT Adminteam and ask if you can get an exception for a short while. Within that short period you can use a "simple" PW and verify if the complex chars in your PW are the problem or not. (If these chars appear to be the problem, please raise a support case to find out what chars are accepted).
3) make sure you use the correct TCP port for connecting to your proxy
4) make sure the proxy does allow large (enough) files. The Ironport updates can be quite large; some AV scanning add-on products might block this.
5) Ask you proxy admin to check his log files. Maybe some useful info can be found there.

Hi I have just updated my macbook pro to 10.10.1 and now the iphoto needs updating aswell as it says the old version is not compatible now.
so i go to the app store and click install then is says...
Could not complete ypur purchase.
The product distribution file could not be verified. it may be damaged or was not signed.
I can update and install all other apps but not Iphoto.?
I have also tryed to reinstall the system with no joy and also tryed to delete the app store app file through terminal and then relaunch also with no joy.?
Please can any one help?

Have you created a new account or updated your existing account ? All content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, so if you have created a new account then all of your existing downloads will remain tied to your old account.
If you've updated your existing account then try tapping on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and log out of it and then log back in with the updated id so as to 'refresh' the account on it.

since I updated to 3.0.1 my apple TV is loading every time my library while I switch from music to the photos etc.... In the past the apple TV only once loaded the library while starting and then I could switch from the pics to the music orfilms etc.
Can anybody help me please :))))

A primary library will allow you the option to sync some content, although you don't have to (with the exception of your pictures), as the user of a primary library you will select 'My Movies, My Music' etc
instead of 'Shared Movies, Shared Music' etc, and you will not need to load your library every time.

Hi, I did some searching here at the forum and found this post. Seems that a possible way to update could be using the stand alone program "Nokia software updater" and if it fails too, like the post linked to below, you can run it in compatibility mode, and as an admin.

Unfortunately the steps described on that page were either unnecessary or would have actually downgraded the VC++ Redistribution Package on my system. Booting in modified/diagnostic mode would not have made any difference, except that it would have resulted in a CC restart and therefor might have appeared to work. I suggested a CC restart because it worked for me and others. When I got the error, I analyzed what the install error 6 actually said, which is that it failed trying to "repair Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64)". Since I already have a later version of that VC++ package properly installed on my system, it is a Good Thing that it did fail. It just should have failed more elegantly. It might well work on systems with older versions of the VC++ package.
