Whether I try to purchas it on the computer or on the Ipod touch, I have even tried doing it on different computers still getting an error message.

Trying to update the existing website and I keep getting this error message

I cannot update my website dute to "An FTP error" while connecting to server. See the attachement below. I have another website & I did update yesterday with no problem.
I use: Window 7, IE 11, Avast Antivirus, DW CS6, Go Daddy is my host.

Verify your FTP credentials.
I've randomly lost access with GoDaddy in the past. They may have "updated" the server and lost your credentials in the process.
You may also want to toggle Use Passive FTP and FTP Performance Optimization in your site settings.
Also verify you are using the correct server root folder. I believe GD still uses /public for that. It has been a while since I've dealt with them.
If none of those things do the trick, we'll need to take a peek "under the hood" so to speak. Posting a screenshot of your FTP (edit out any sensitive info) may help.

Wow, I found a solution in another thread:
I had exact same error.....
Rebooting - Failed
Logging in to iTunes - Failed
Logging into itunes Store - Failed
Logging into iTunes Genius - SUCCESS I woulnd't have thought it would make a difference but it does Then just log into the 'other' services with iTunes.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

The new Itunes software update is flawed! I had the same issue. You need to uninstall Apple components, then reinstall. Go to this link for instructions. Takes about 20 mins but works!
