I'm trying to update my phone to I0S5 and I have gotten through the whole process except it is stuck on "connect to iTunes" page.
In the middle of my process of updating my iPhone it says to connect to Itunes. I do connect to iTunes and it does nothing. My iTunes says I'm synced and everything is good but the phone is still stuck on the connect to iTunes page.
Because it says it's incompatible when it can't be, I got hope. I get error messages all the time with my iPod and iPhone that it cannot sync and that 'this device is not capapble of connecting to iTunes' stuff. I literally forget that happened, plug it in again and it works, I later realize that iTunes made a mistake, they do that.

Verizon was having a problem on their end, perhaps a server down for some repair or updating. However you were already aware that there was an on-going problem in your own posting and you decided to continue on.I can understand you wanting this done and trying to save the $15.00 fee. However I would have waited a bit longer until the Verizon issue had been corrected. Yes it is frustrating but again you know in advance of a problem , I can understand that this is most upsetting for you but never try to perform any change when a problem is there and I also do not like to do business on a weekend with no live tech support available. iTunes is now telling me I have to restore my phone back to factory settings :(
Yeah - I tried that, several times; each time I get "iTunes is restoring the software on this iPhone" and after about 30 minutes the screen on the phone lights up again with the same screen I had before. After that ... nothing.

I tried to update my phone this morning, and now it is stuck on a black screen with an apple in the middle.
Press the Power button and hold it down until the computer turns off. Restart. Do you still get the same result? If so, then try booting into Safe Mode, then restart normally. A safe mode startup takes considerably longer than a normal one, so don't panic. You will also see a progress bar at the beginning.

one fine day yesterday, my i phone just hangup lost all contact detail. The screen only show a picture depicting cable connection to iTune. I have tried to restore iphone to factory setting but not working . May i know how to proceed to recover lost contacts.
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I tried to install yosemite yesterday and my computer goes through the whole installation process and then to a blank white screen. I've rebooted, I've reinstalled several times and get the same result. Two days wasted and I can't use my computer!!
I don't know if you've already resolved your problem, but I had the same thing, it took me 6 hours to fix it. I had the exact same as you, installed the update and then it went to a white screen. After trying start up holding down cmmd r or holding down the alt key to try to install it again, nothing worked, same result every time. Then an angel came to me here somewhere but I can't find it now to thank him. Start in safe mode, press shift once you hear the start up chime and hold it down until you hear it again. Installation completion box came up and it was working. turn off computer and start up again normally and all is well. Except my final cut pro x doesn't work with it, have to update that now too. same as when I updated to mavericks.

I just did the update for my apple TV and it got halfway through the update the TV screen showed a itunes logo and a plug in cord and wouldnt respond. I unplugged it and plugged it into my computer to try and restore it and now I can get audio but no vide
DFU mode? How do I do that? So far the only thing I can do is hold down both buttons to power it on and nothing is on the screen and it wont reconize on my computer....

iphone 4 has a black scrren which will display the apple logo and appears to be at start up but then blacks out for approx 10 seconds and then displays apple logo again. Same action over and over.
I have attempted hard reset but cannot complete. Also attempted to connect with itunes and it does not recongize device.
Device is frozen in this display loop. Have an appointment with genius bar tomorrow but it's a 2.5 hour round trip so suggestion appreciated.Your device may need to be restored as new in iTunes (instead of restored from a back up as it seems that there is a software issue on your phone).
If your phone is not able to connect in iTunes try forcing recovery mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808)
* power off your phone.
* Hold the home button while connecting your phone to iTunes. You should see the connect to iTunes window and your computer should give you the recover mode alert.
*Restore your device as new. Being sure not to restore from a previous back up.
You will then want to sync your information back to your device from Outlook, iCloud, Google or wherever your information is stored. -
after i updated my iphone 5s to iOS 8.3 , i downloaded a game that took all the storage away . the problem is that , when it delete the game , the storage doesn't expand, it sticks to 0 bytes. i tried to delete more apps , the problems still persists. once i go to gallery , and try to delete a picture or video , the gallery app crashes instantly. i tried to fix the problem by restarting the phone several times , and it doesn't seem to fix the problem. i need a solution to my problem , and if anyone can help , i would be grateful. i can't take pictures or save up anything anymore , and can't seem to check up on my msgs that i receive. My mom has an iPad 2 that she bought a few years ago. She has never updated it and wanted me to do so. I installed iTunes, got the newest version, and plugged her iPad in. The update went great. Everything was backed up first, all the data was synched, but now the setup page starts over again and again after I restore the data. I tried wiping everything down to the factory settings, and the same thing happens I skip the woreless access setup because she forgot her wifi password and I need to reset that. But that should not be an issue...
If you have Wi-Fi, you don't need to connect her iPad to a computer to update iOS.
Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on the iPad. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi
Tap Settings > General > Software Update
Trying to sync with iTunes on your computer won't work. It's already associated with your Apple ID. -

I am atrying to install iPhoto 11, so far all I have gotten is the phrase "installing". No bar showing progress. It has been about 45 minutes since I bought the app. How much longer should I wait? Or what should I do next?

I have an iphone 3G, and I am trying to update my phone to the 4.2.1 software, when I begin to update my phone it tells me that all the files have to be backed up on my computer first. The issue is my phone has been hooked up to my computer backing up my phone for 6 hours and still no update, in fact maybe 10% of my info from my phone is backed up after 6 hours???? So is it because my phone is so old or is it the number of apps??? I have updated my itunes and everything. How can I backup faster so I can update or will it just have to run its course, please HELP!!!
