I'm trying to use my Hotspot, but when I go to settings to turn it on, I cannot find where to turn it on! Ps: It is not where it is normally.

Just tried it and personal hotspot does not diapper when 3G is turned off. It is just greyed out. It will be gone completely when you don't use it for a while thus my reply to him about going to turn it on in a different menu. It is a bug that needs to be fixed in iOS.

Then you will need to update to iOS 5.1.1 as outlined above. A word of caution before updating: be sure to import all your photos to your computer and back up your contacts (by syncing with a supported program such as Outlook, to an online service such as Google, or using an app like My Contacts Backup). Failure to do so risks losing your data.

I bought an IPhone 3gs and tried to reset the APN through Strait Talk Wireless but when I click on settings then "General" tab they tell me to click on the "Network" tab but there is not a "Network" tab? After Network, I was supposed to go to Cellular Data Settings but I can't find the Network tab under the General tab. I have an online etsy shop. There is a page on which to list a new item to be added to one's shop. When it is time to upload the pic or pics, I cannot find them,eventhough each has a name and all are in an i photo album. On my old computer I would "save as" and then could find it easily in my computer. In the new mac I just got, I cannot easily find the pic when trying to upload. Could you tell me an easy way to save each pic so that I can find it for uploads to that site? Thanks in advance. OS is Snow Leopard. Whatever i photo came with that would be the product I am using.
The following is from a post by Terence Devlin on accessing photos for use outside of iPhoto. It's the definitive treatise on the subject.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3.Show File:
a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
b. On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. -
I've heard of bootcamp to run with windows when download programs as such but I don't have a windows installation disc and don't know which one to buy so please help.

I had my iphone in my pocket when i was at a pool someone pushed me in as a joke but my iphone did not seem to like the water so i instantly put it in a bag rice, It was in there for about 2 days i took it out plugged it in the wall to try to see if it would work... nothing so then a few days later i wake up and my friend plugged in my iphone just to try to see if it would worked and it kinda does work but i cant get it to go past the apple boot screen and the screen its self works and it seems like its charging when i plug it in the wall but it dosent keep a charge. some one please help! and what are my best options?

My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

It could be that someone has accessed your AppleID/iCloud account with out authorization. Or it could be that you forgot to remove find my iPhone form a phone that your previously owned.
Change your Apple ID password. -

That message means that you have to restore the iPad now. There was a problem with the update. So connect the iPad to your computer and restore your iPad.

Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad. -

Are you trying to call yourself to test FaceTime? If so, you must have a second E-Mail address registered with your Apple ID. In other words, there must be a different E-Mail address on each unit.

Can I use a usb external hard drive larger than 2TB? I have tried to use a 3TB but it shows up as 800GB. Even tred to reformat in disk utility but only shows as 800 gb as well. It is a Seagate 3TB harddrive and enclosure. Nothing on the Seagate site about it other than it says Mac os through 10.6 is supported for larger than 2TB (might be old).
