I need System 7 for use on my Color Classic?

Hello Apple Community -
I've fired up my old Macintosh Color Classic and it has the hard drive but has been completely wiped down to the bones. I need to find the ENTIRE collection of System 7 image files to stick on floppies that my Color Classic can directly boot into.
I've seen a whole bunch, but the only issue is they have to be mounted while already inside the operating system. I need image files I can somehow put onto a floppy and make it so my Color Classic will directly boot into them.

It depends on whether the SCSI hard drive has an appropriate basic formatting or not. If yes, you should be able to boot from the Network Access floppy and initialise the hard disk via the Erase Disk command under the Special menu. If not, you would need a disk tools floppy with a suitable formatting utility.
Apple HD SC Setup 7.3.5 is a formatting utility for hard drives with an Apple logo (that have not been reformatted by a third-party application). For other hard drives, a third-party program (such as Lido 7.5.6) would be needed.

It is possible to modify a Network Access floppy to hold a small utility like Apple HD SC Setup 7.3.5. However, this would normally require access to a fully working old (approx. 1991-1997) Macintosh computer.

You would need a Windows program (something like TransMac) that can handle Mac floppies (1.44 MB) on a PC. Download all nineteen files in the MacBinary (.bin) format. Keep the files as they are. Do not attempt to decode or decompress anything on the PC. Copy the files one at a time onto Mac-(re)formatted 1.44 MB HD diskettes. Then move the floppies to the Color Classic (once it has a temporary operating system).
On the Color Classic, place the nineteen files in a common folder. Now, use StuffIt Expander to decode the MacBinary (.bin). Do this by dragging each transferred file onto the StuffIt Expander icon, or by opening each file from inside the StuffIt Expander utility. If you do not have a proper version of StuffIt Expander for the old Mac, you may want to try this:
Download the MACDISK.EXE file from the following web page onto a PC (capable of running a DOS program).

Next, prepare an empty PC-formatted 1.44 MB HD floppy via the FORMAT A: command under DOS or the "full" formatting option under Windows. Do this even if the floppy had been formatted earlier.
Run the MACDISK.EXE (DOS) program on the PC. Follow the instructions on screen. The result will be a Mac-formatted (sic!) floppy complete with a ready-to-use StuffIt Expander 4.0.1 installer for Macintosh.

I'm sorry, but I know nothing about iCloud email. I stayed away from iCloud email and only use iCloud for limited purposes.

Best POS system for use with Mac?

What is the best POS system for use with Mac? Using Quickbooks and paper invoices and inventory. Would like to upgrade to POS system.

Ideally it is best to have seperate (discreet) EHD's for a PC and Mac due to their differences in HD formatting. However, this is not always feasable but there are alternative solutions availble. Among those are:
Creating and useing a Dropbox account that can be shared by PCs, Macs, IOS and Android devices. Dropbox allows for 2GB of free storage and additional storage is available for a small monthly fee.
Another possiblity is formating an EHD so that it may be shared by both a PC and Mac, this format is FAT 32. The downside of doing this is the size of the files written to the HD are limited to 4GB.

Need solution for using Symbol LRT3840 with Apps 10.7 and/or 11i?

Any suggestions for using Symbol's scanner/terminal with Oracle 10.7 and/or 11i? The symbol unit runs a telnet session (with a 1/4 viewable area). I'm looking for some alternate screen templates and/or a software solution that will allow me to remap the existing full screen forms so all critical information is displayed on the symbol unit in the allowable viewing area. I understand that version 11i of Oracle Apps does not support character-based telnet sessions, so I'm also interested in a fix that will be transparent to my material handlers when we upgrade from 10.7 to 11i. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BODS : Datastore options for SAP R/3 - need clarity for use

Another request to understand the datastore optiono n BOXI 3.1 BODS existing installation.
We are trying to pull a new table from SAP R/3 into BODS and we find that ABAP program is not getting generated as expected. And terminates. When we tested a simple workflow.
While creating a new datastore for SAP R/3 Source :
When we look at the datastore we find the following options for R3 Source ;
ABAP Execution option :
Execute preloaded
Generate and execute
Under data transfer method we find ;
Shared directory
Direct download
FTP
Custom transfer
Then we have working directory on sap server
local directory
generated ABAP Directory
Am testing a simple workflow of pulling data from SAP R/3 in a dev machine.
But am not understanding.
which option of ABAP Execution, and data transfer , path would work in co-ordination.
Because when i say direct download and say generate and execute it throws error.
Can anyone help me with combinations of the options to choose for a R/3 source. And the implications thereof.
I had created a folder under local bods server D:\Bodi. And given the path for data transfer.
But the files are not getting generated for whatsoever reasons.
Any advise on this would be helpful.
Also found a bit unusual, that there was no button to test the connection to be correct or not, a TEST connection button is not there. Which i felt, could be included.
Note : on the existing production system, we have chosen execute preloaded; shared directory on sap server. and shared that folder path for the user and given full rights. But while we try to do the same on the dev machine a test before transporting on production, a simple workflow does not work.
would like to know what settings on sap server, really affect the data store options on the BODS

Indeed, BODS <> SAP connectivity can be tricky.
For a development environment, I suggest you select the option "Generate and execute" for your "ABAP Execution Option." What this means is that DS will create, on the fly, small-ish ABAP programs. These ABAP programs will be written, in plain text, to a local directory on the DS job server, in the folder specified in "Generated ABAP Directory". You can see them in there after an attempted job execution, assuming the job involves the creation of an ABAP program. The ABAP program name is specified in the properties of an ABAP data flow, under Options > ABAP Program Name. If you can't, perhaps the DS job server process doesn't have full rights to that folder - ? After being generated on-the-fly, they'll be transferred to SAP to execute. The SAP user you use to connect to SAP must have sufficient rights to upload-and-execute these ABAP programs, and that's a fairly substantial set of rights. What's required is documented in the BODS supplement for SAP. Often, to get things running, your friendly local Basis admin will grant SAP_ALL to the DS user, to see what rights are being invoked.
Once all that jazz is working, you need to get the data back. There are a number of ways to do this. The method of data transfer is specified in "Data transfer method," where, ignoring "Custom transfer," you have three choices:
1) Direct Download: easiest and slowest. This method tells SAP to attempt to stick data in the client-side folder specified in "Local directory." Try this first.
2) Shared folder: This is recommended when you have SAP being hosted on a Windows box. Basically: you set "Working directory on SAP Server" and "Data Services path to the shared directory" to point to the same folder. SAP uses the "Working directory on SAP Server" to find this folder, and DS uses the other setting. So, for instance, if you were going to use the Shared folder method, you could set "Working directory on SAP Server" to "E:\BODS_Transfer", and, assuming E:\BODS_Transfer was shared-out as "BODS_Transfer", you could set "Data Services path to the shared directory" to
dev12.somecompany.com\BODS_Transfer . Then, you'd need to setup all the relevant security, as both SAP and DS need rights to read and write files in this folder.
3) FTP (this is the method I usually use): SAP writes the "transport files" you're after (i.e., the data) in the folder specified in "Working directory on SAP Server". Then, you need to establish ftp connectivity to that folder from the DS job server's perspective, which you do by entering the ftp host name and the path to that folder in "FTP host name" and "FTP relative path to the SAP working directory". In my opinion, the "relative" business is a little confusing, and I just typically enter the full ftp path, beginning the path w/ a forward slash, like "/usr/sap/tmp/BOBJ" or something like that. You also need to obtain a separate username and password for the ftp connectivity. Note that this name and password has NOTHING to do with the SAP username and password; you're just setting-up DS to act as an ftp client. I strongly encourage you to test ftp connectivity by using a regular ftp client from the DS job server and attempt to connect to your ftp host using the username and password you were given, and attempting to fetch some sample test file. If you can't do this, manually, then DS won't be able to do it, either.

Your case is different and NO do not partition the EHD yet unless you are prepared to completely erase your PC data. Before progressing though, do you intend to share the EHD with a PC and your Mac? If so this is not advisable but it is possible, however you will need to compromise. Please answer that question first and then we can proceed with some advice.

The answer to the question in the above comment is that ideally I would like to use with both Mac and PC, why is this not advisable?
Please discuss my best options. I am wondering if I could transfer the current contents of the disk drive elsewhere, partition (which would erase) the disk drive, then put back the contents along with the new files which I have been trying to put on in the first place?
If this were to work would I then be tied down to only using this disk drive with a Mac?

Need solution for Use Case - Page Fragment?

I have a set of controls and table which I need to insert into many tabs such that each tab displays the same table and functions but with slightly different data. The controls and table could be used in many different areas so doesn't make sense to code each and everyone mutiple times. I thought then that making this set of functions a page fragment and including it would do the trick, however, an exception that I have the same ID's defined was raised.
Can someone tell me what technology I should use for this use case such that one a single page with tabs I can include the same set of controls many times? Can page fragments be used multiple times on one page or do I need some sort of declarative component?

Task Flows is the way to go...
Just create a bounded task flow and create a default view activity (which is going to be your page fragment with table and other controls).
Now you can drop this TF on every tab and this way you will get a resuable table and control.
Read about Task flows in dev guide if you need further understanding on this.
One more thing, this will give you exactly same stuff on each tab. So, I am not sure what you want to change in every tab? A detailed description of your requirement might help.

MP3+ drivers: need drivers for using mulitple uni

Im using some inexpenci've home audio production software and im attempting to integrate a second MP3+ usb soundcard into my setup.
I am under the impression that the drivers i have currently are not permitting me to use two MP3+ units simotaniously,

According to these, any product/service provider, need to pay one time fee based on # of subscribers if we are using h264 for encoding and is charging fee from its users.
About our business: We are web-conferencing solution tool provider and are using Flash Media Server version 3.5.7. I for audio/video. Please help me out if h264 is really free for us or we need to buy license to use that.

Need advice for using Tempory tables

Hi,
I am soort of expert in SQL programming using MS SQL and SYBASE. But I am new in ORACLE.
In SQL SERVER, using tempory tables are very simple. But it seems very different in ORACLE.
1. Can I use create several different temp tables in a stored procedure?
2. Dose the temp table has to be named as Temp_tablename?
3. After executing the stored procedure, will those temp tables disappear automnatically? Should I manually clean them up?

1. Yes. You need to use Dynamic SQL within your PL/SQL code to issue any DDL command.
2. You can name those temp tables whatever name you want.
3. You need to issue "DROP table XXX" command to remove those temp tables. Why not use PL/SQL table within you PL/SQL code since PL/SQL is a memory construct and it will only exist during the run time of your PL/SQL code.

Hi All - I am new to DPS and have few questions to clarify.
I know DPS is Adobe tool for publishing digital content magazines to Tablet devices. What I want to know is – Is DPS is a desktop version of tool and can be installed like I did with CQ5.5 on my local machine?
I have requirement to do the integration between CQ(AEM) and DPS. I found some materials on Adobe site for integrating AEM5.6 (via Media Publisher) to DPS. I do see similar options in AEM5.5 under Tools > Cloud Services > Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. I did created a connection configuration using an Adobe Id. Now my questions are –In CQ 5.5. when I click the “Go to Adobe Digital Publishing Suite” (on
Cloud Services > Adobe Digital Publishing Suite page ) I go to the Adobe online site https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/app.html#. Is this the actual DPS ?
On this above DPS online tool, Why the options “DPS App Builder For Mac, Analytics, Account Administration and Notifications” are disabled?
I tried to publish the sample Folio and Article from CQ Publication page http://localhost:4502/publishingadmin#/content/publications/geometrixx-media/geometrixx-un limited/2013/january but it gave some error and I don’t see them to be pushed to DPS Folio Producer folder on https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/app.html#. What I am doing wrong here?

Hi,
You can use Memory leak scenarios view in JavaProfiler for finding probable leaks in your application. Check out the Scenario view. You can run a scenario for your application, and it will show you all the instances that were allocated during scenario but were not garbage collected. You can then take Heap Snapshot and checkout all the objects that are reported as probable leak in your application. You can check out Incoming references of the concerned objects and check out what is holding back the instances from getting garbage collected.
I am unable to understand the other part of your question regarding not being able to get the URL matched after running the Java Profiler. Can you provide more details on that? Do you mean you are not able to browse to your application while JavaProfiler is running? Please provide details like which AppServer are you running, and was the server started completely from JavaProfiler before you tried accessing your application. If not please wait for server startup to complete before trying to access your application through browser.
