Afraid so. Liquid spills can kill your computer. Most of the components will have to be replaced, which is why it's such an expensive accident. You may want to get an estimate to repair and compare it with the cost of buying a totally new machine.
Same thing happens all over the world - not just in Russia!

I inherited an Ipad 2 from a company that I had worked for in the UK but had closed down.
It was an IPAD2 locked to the Vodafone UK network by a Vodafone SIM Card.
No account details were or are available for the original account.
So I removed the Vodafone SIM Card and then factory reset wirelessly using my wireless at home.
I updated the system to IOS 7.0.2.
I was then sold under a contract from EE another UK carrier a SIM card for the Ipad and when inserted the Ipad says Sim not applicable.
I checked with Vodafone and EE shop and they said they cant unlock it, I checked with Apple who said the same!
So I have an IPad I can use wirelessly at home, a sim card from EE which is an u
locked Vodafone carrier mode and all 3 multinational companies say they cannot unlock it from Vodafone to enable me to use the EE sim.
What can I do to sort this mess out? Please help!

That's what the moderator in several older threads in Vodaphone's forum said was all that is necessary. Carriers often won't unlock for anyone but the original account holder, so if you don't have the details of the company's account, that might be the barrier in which case there will not be any way to get the iPad officially unlocked.

after i use 4.3.3 for iphone 4. the notification for facebook and yahoo do not work. what is wrong? anyone can help?
I am also on my forth hard drive on the same model.
When I unpacked the computer, the hard drive did not include OS X either. Actually, it was completely blank. Did not even have a partition table! I have also had random problems with the machine not charging.
I have replaced the drive myself with an SSD after figuring the Apple Certified technicians were incompetent. Now even the SSD is starting to fail
I have bought an HP laptop and setup Ubuntu on it. Hope it turns out better than my previous four various Mac models. All have had various repeating hardware issues that Apple Certified technicians have been unable or unwilling to correct. -

At present, the only way I can load photos from a CF card to my new Macbook Pro Retina is by loading them onto an external hard drive via an old PC that can accept either of my USB card readers, then plugging the external hard drive into my MBP. Neither the USB card reader or the cable that comes with the Canon HDSLR camera will transfer photos directly to my MBP. I find it unbelievable that I have to go to a PC to load photos because I can't do it with my new MBP.
Has anyone found a reliable USB CF card reader, or one that connects via thunderbolt or HDMI, at any price, that will work directly with the new MBP Retina?This is what we need:
Location photoshoot - we use the Canon EOS 5D Mk II still camera & the Canon FX100 pro camcorder.
CF cards are: SanDisk Extreme UDMA & SanDisk Extreme Pro UDMA 6 for video (I think they are both Type II) My Mac recognises them both as FAT 32 format
My MBPRetina is on the latest version of Mountain Lion OSX 10.83
the files from the camcorder will transfer to my MacBook Pro Retina directly via the camera's cable but it is quite slow & it means I cannot continue to film while downloading files but this we can live with.
the files from the still camera Canon EOS 5D Mk II will not transfer directly via the camera's cable - have yet to get the Canon software to download, but via the camera's cable will not help anyway as we need to have the still camera free to keep shooting.
We need to be able to take out the CF card from the first part of the shoot & download the still shots while just on the Macbook's battery power, while we insert a fresh CF card back into the still camera to continue with the next part of the shoot simultaneously (while the first card is downloading.)
The files from the first part of the shoot will be both in RAW (.CR2) & Jpeg format. We just need to quickly transfer the jpegs, then I do a quick sort, batch the best ones as black/white images, & use these in a client slideshow immediately after part 2 of the shoot.
Obviously we need fast data transfer speeds, & rely on the MBP's battery power while on a location shoot.
The card readers I have tried are an older specific CF card reader branded as Palm, & a USB 2 multi card reader branded as Travel Flash. With both readers, the lights on the readers flash on & off, & the MBP recognises the card & the files will even appear both in Finder & in i-Photo, so it starts importing, then aborts with an error message saying:
'The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)'
& another message saying:
'the disk was not ejected properly'.
So it appears the MBP does read the CF cards but the card readers don't stay connected, no matter what angle I put them on or however many times I re-connect them.
Yes, they are probably cheap & I want to buy a decent one.
So, in summary:
the card reader needs to work when the MBPR is only on battery power (I read in some forums that some USB card readers aren't so reliable on the laptop's battery power)
the card reader needs to be quite fast. I have read the USB 3 readers won't read CF cards at higher than USB 2 speeds. Is this true? Are the firewire connected ones faster, & if so, are they still reliable on the MBP's battery power?
From research, it appears my problem is associated with my specific model of Mac & platform, being MacBook Retina on Mountain Lion OSX Version 10.83. If any of the recommended card readers have been successful with this, plese let me know.

I have a new iphone 6 (64 Gb) that i have had for roughly 2 weeks. Last night i plugged in my charger that came in the box with the phone and plugged it into an outlet that is not used for anything else. My phone suddenly stopped charging and gave me the message that the accessory is not supported. The box of the charger seemed hot at the time. Thinking it was a faulty cord, i borrowed a friends charger today (also the original apple charger) and it would not charge and gave me the same message. I tried three more chargers and still no charge and i got the same message every single time. My phone is now dead and will not turn on. Can someone explain what is wrong? And if i am going to need a new phone and if warranty should cover it since it was not user caused damage
warranty will cover it. Did you try only by changing the power adapter or did you change both cable and power adapter?

I have a macbook pro operating on OS X software, version 10.6.8. I am trying to upgrade to the newest version (I'm clearly behind, I know) and when I click "get" in the app store the download drops into the dock and reads "OS X Yosemite--waiting" and the only option is to click "cancel download". I've restarted the download twice and restarted the computer once. I'm not sure what else to try. Suggestions?
Try the download again. If it shows waiting, check the App Store Purchases tab for a Resume button. If there is none, let the download sit there. Sometimes Apple's servers bog down. I usually try downloading at night.

The power cord to my hp photosmart plus printer b209a does not work. what can i do?
The warranty for my computer's printer is up, but the printer has not turned on for quite a while. After going through the HP troubleshooting - nothing seems to work. When the power cord is plugged in, the green indicator light does not light up and the printer will not turn on at all.
Here's the steps to follow if your printer isn't turning on.
If you've gone through all those steps and you still don't have power, there are a lot of places that sell a replacement cord and supply for that printer.

In the dvd player, the button to go back chapters does not work!

In the dvd player when I ask to skip a chapter, the command works fine, however when I ask to return to the previous chapter it back to the beginning of the same chapter. And only works if I press the back button twice quickly .. How do I solve this problem?
I already tried to work with multiple timelines, and also with a single timeline containing the video divided into chapters..
I appreciate the help!! Thanks..It is normal behavior when pressing the "Previous" button on the DVD remote that it navigates back to the start of the current chapter. That IS the "previous" chapter mark, from the current play position.
Think about it - someone is viewing your DVD and in the middle of the current chapter, they decide they want to review the material by restarting the chapter. That Previous button does exactly what it is supposed to. The user would not want to jump back TWO full chapters.

I tried to update my photo albums in my Iphone 4S. I could not, and the old photos were removed. I tried again to copy the albums in the Iphone from a PC Windows XP folder and it does not work.
You can't activate any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone.
So, yes, you need to get a sim card.
