The iPad is not a phone. If you want to make calls and texts over a mobile phone network, you need an iPhone.
You can call and send messages to people using Skype and other VOIP/ Chat messenger services on an iPad via WiFI and 3G (if you have a 3G iPad).
Apps for this purpose are in the AppStore.

I thought I was able to drop and drag

I have the songs that I have loaded onto my Ipod shuffle all playing well but my issue is the way my playlist is looking.
I thought I was able to drop and drag them around into whatever order I wanted once I had them all loaded. Now I am finding that what I thought is not the case at all. My friend is telling me that she IS able to still move them around the playlist.
What am I not doing?

Hi, I am looking for assistance on how to reset the passcode on my ipad. It is asking for a passcode & then I enter what I thought it was and it doesn't accept & disables the ipad for 15 mins. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated ast the call centre is currently closed. Thanks Peter

Sounds like a hardware failure.
Make an appointment at the genius bar and take it in for them to look at. It will probably need to be replaced.

Na origem do seu problema podem estar várias causas. Nomeadamente:
O ficheiro (arquivo) que está a ler pode não ser texto, ou seja, pode ser texto transformado em imagem e exportado como PDF.
A aplicação de destino (onde está a tentar colar o texto copiado) pode não aceitar a colagem de texto formatado.
A aplicação que está a utilizar para abrir os ficheiros PDF pode não ser indicada para certo tipo de documentos. Experimente o iBooks, o Dropbox ou até mesmo o seu e-mail.
No caso de nenhuma destas causas estar na origem do seu problema, forneça, por favor, mais informações sobre a origem do ficheiro (descarga pelo Safari, Mail ou outro) bem como o destino (documento Pages, Keynote ou Numbers ou outra aplicação que não o iWork).

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

To delete your photo library you need to connect to iTunes, then remove the selection for the images, then sync the device.
While you are connected to iTunes do the update through iTunes. It takes much less memory as the update is loaded onto your computer, unpacked, then sent to the device.

Pretty much. Except that Apple will replace it for a fixed fee that is far less than the cost of a new phone. In the US the replacement cost for an iPhone 4 is $149. It is comparable in the UK. Unless you can prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase. A switch wearing out would probably be considered normal wear and tear, not a "fault".

The license for the version you are installing is an upgrade, which requires you to identify the older (qualifying) version that you are upgrading from and to provide its serial number as well to prove that you qualify to use the upgrade. There should be a list to select the older version from followed by entries for the serial number of the older version.

If you are the account owner, you can log into your My Verizon ccount online and view the usage details for all the lines on the account. If you are only an account member, you should be able to view some details for your line, but I am not sure exactly how much.
