I want to send the data in the same format that hyperterminal does it
if i connect the other end of the cable to another computer and i use hyperterminal and then run my VI i receive the message as it was inputed in my labview vi.
If i send this sami string to another device that it is not my computer i does not respond to it. What could the problem be ?

Your issue is probably a result of termination. When using VISA enabling termination causes the termination character to be stripped off of your read commands. Or, the termination is not being displays. To display the termination right click on the indicator from your read function and select '\' Codes Display.
However, enabling terminatio does not append it back to your write commands. Try appending \n to the end of what ever you are writing. In addition, when you are using hyperterminal do you ever it Enter. If you do then you are sending a \n.

How to use rule and send the same email to multiple recipents
Hi,
My requirement is to send the workitem to the multiple recipents. one of my reiend suggest me to use the rule but i don't know how to use that .
can any one of you suggest me how to use rule in workflow.
Also i want to send the same email to multiple recipent .how can i do it by using the multiline variable...please advice me with example if possible..
Note :- Is it necessary to saparate the email id with comma or i will add all the email next one another..

I want to send the same message to Two receivers with the slight time difference.. becuase but not at the same time.. if the same time means.. just we can specify the two receivers in the one receiver determination..
but if i want to send the same message to Two reveivers with the time difference means..(after sending the message to first receiver.. after some time gap.. i need to send the message to second receiver..
this type of scenarios how can we do.. is it possible to do with out BPM... please suggest me the solution..

With BPM you can easily do it.
i am giving you the steps:
1)first add a receive strep to get your message
2)then, put a receiver determination step with a multiline receiver container element assigned to its Receivers property.
3)then, put a block in dynamic mode(ie. ForEach/ParForEach mode) and assign the multiline receiver container element to its multiline element and assign a simple(single line) receiver container element to its current line property.
4) add a send step within the block, choose Receivers List in its Receiver From property and choose the current line receiver element in its Receivers property.
5) then add a wait step in the BPM, in its type select Wait Specified Time Period and then mention the duration in your desired time unit.

The serial port seems to be working, and labview seems to be sending the data, but the problem is in which format does it send the data, because in hyperterminal i just input the string "JDX" and it sends it to my device, with labview it sends something but my device does not recognize it.

Hyperterminal adds the carriage return/line feed to the string which is
generated by the return key to send out the current line. LabVIEW simply
sends out what you tell it, so try to set the string to "Show \ Display"
format and add a \r or \n or \r\n to the command you want to send out.
Assumes of course that you set the right baudr
ate/bits/parity etc in
LabVIEW with the VISA property node, when opening the serial port.

Attach it to the message. An attachment is an attachment -- if it is displayed or not by the recipient's e-mail client is not under your control.

The simplest - set Vi setting->Edit Build Settings->"Remove FP" to YES in
App. Builder.
On Linux you can send FP to any host X server or to any local X display
number, which you want to have as a background, from the command prompt
like: -display:xxx You even don't need X running (but should
have X installed!). Read Xserver mans for details.
Also, there is a way of using virtual frame buffer X server, but I didn't
tried it yet.

There are two options for this
First one is to use Wait step in BPM as other experts suggested.
Second one is a dirty way around,what you can do is send the second message to a dummy receiver first(may be a file on your XI server),then design one bypass scenario which will pick up the file after a specified time interval(give the poling interval you want).
i would go for BPM coz its pretty straight forward,but in case you want to avoid BPM then u can use the second approach
