IDELAYCTRL REFCLK pin should be connected.

I have a Virtex-7 design that uses IDELAYE2 and ODELAYE2 primitives. I have instantiated a single IDELAYCTRL primitive in my code which is supposed to service all IDELAYE2 and ODELAYE2 primitives in my design. IDELAYCTRL receives 200 MHz clock generated by an MMCM. MMCM has a BUFG driving this clock. 200 MHz clock also drives some logic in the FPGA.
The design synthesizes and implements OK, fits all timing requirements. If I open the graphical view of the routed device, I can see that 200 MHz clock network exists and is routed.
However, during bitstream generation, I receive the following error messages:
ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (REQP-79) connects_REFCLK - ptlut/ptlut/delayctrl_REPLICATED_0: The IDELAYCTRL REFCLK pin should be connected.
ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (REQP-79) connects_REFCLK - ptlut/ptlut/delayctrl_REPLICATED_0_1: The IDELAYCTRL REFCLK pin should be connected.
ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (REQP-79) connects_REFCLK - ptlut/ptlut/delayctrl_REPLICATED_0_2: The IDELAYCTRL REFCLK pin should be connected.
ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (REQP-79) connects_REFCLK - ptlut/ptlut/delayctrl_REPLICATED_0_3: The IDELAYCTRL REFCLK pin should be connected.
ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (REQP-79) connects_REFCLK - ptlut/ptlut/delayctrl_REPLICATED_0_4: The IDELAYCTRL REFCLK pin should be connected.
Looks like Vivado has replicated IDELAYCTRL, which is expected. However, the clock is not connected to these primitives for some reason.
I have tried to implement with and without IODELAY_GROUP property defined for all IDELAYE2, ODELAYE2 primitives, and IDELAYCTRL primitive, the result is exactly the same.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks.

Hi,
The tools automatically add DONT_TOUCH properties of value TRUE to nets that have MARK_DEBUG properties of value TRUE. This is done to keep the nets intact throughout the implementation flow so that they can be probed at any design stage. This is the recommended use of MARK_DEBUG. However, on rare occasions DONT_TOUCH might be too restrictive. In such cases, you can set DONT_TOUCH to a value of FALSE, while keeping MARK_DEBUG TRUE. The risk in doing this is that nets with
MARK_DEBUG can be optimized away and no longer probed.
I have set DONT_TOUCH to FALSE on this net and replication happened properly.
Thanks,
Deepika.

The PIN number comes from the other device, not the phone. Put both devices in pairing/discovery mode. Once the 3rd party device is found by the phone, it should prompt you for the PIN number for the device. This should be provided to you in the documentation for the 3rd party device. My 30-pin dock is connected to my lightning to 30-pin connector which is connected to my iPod touch 5g. But my iPod will only charge, and will not play music through my dock, only through the iPod's internal speaker. Help please!

Have you tried resetting both the iPod and dock? To reset the iPod, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
To reset the dock, unplug it and plug it back in.

One of these should work, depending on the projector. Just note both will not allow you to play protected movies on the projector.

  • ORA-06508,ORA-06512, why I should re-connect and after that it runs well?

    I have 2 package.
    package A depends on B.
I call the package A in c++ code. At the begining, all work well.
    I compile package B successfully.
But when I call package A in c++ code using a existing connection to the oracle, I get
    ORA-06508: PL/SQL:
    ORA-06512: 在 "PARTY.PKG_TRANSACTION", line 102
    ORA-06512: 在 "PARTY.PKG_CFMMC", line 1186
when I kill this session in database server side and re-connect to the database, it runs well.
what is wrong, why I should re-connect and then it runs well, and in the mean time, it does raise errors above if I use the old connection?

It appears sometimes. But sometimes it does not appear.
    you can create 2 package.
    package a, package b.
    A depends on b.
You can call the package A in the client side using c++ code.
then compile the b(do not change and code of b, just recompile it) successfully.
If you are lucky you can see the errors.

how should I connect yamaha HS50m to macbook pro? Does macbook pro with i7 processored have an enough sound card for yamaha studio monitors?or will I need an external sound card or mixer?

Some mikes have sufficient output to connect to this port, Alexey, but most don't. the solution, if you really want to use this particular mic, is to obtain a small battery or mains powered pre-amplifier to connect between the microphone and the line -in input. Alternatively there are devices which will allow you to connect your existing mic through the USB port. If you have an amplifier with a mic input already you could also use this as an intermediary, though it won't be very portable, of course!
You may find it cheaper to simply buy either a USB or "line level" mic, though.

This is a common mistake and I highly advise against it.
1: TimeMachine saves states of changes and thus requires more room on the TM drive than the boot drive it's backing up.
2: Something happens to the TM drive, loss, theft, dropped, power surge, etc., you lose both backups.
3: The storage drive might become a portable need, with it being on the TM drive, now your increasing the risk to the TM backup that something could happen to it along with the storage drive, due to increased movement.

  • I have two airports, one quite old and one brand new. Which should be connected to the modem in an extended network?

I just got a new airport express to extend my wireless network.  It's 802.11(n).  I have an older airport-- I don't know what iteration of the 802.11 standard.
If I connect them with Ethernet, which should be connected to the modem?  Does that answer change if I have to connect the two airports wirelessly?

Unless I use the WAN port on the new APE, right?
Correct. But, if you do this, the question about which device connects where is then already answered....since the "new" AirPort Express must connect to your modem. So, your best wireless performance will occur in the area near the modem. Hopefully, that is where you need the best performance.
Side note-- the tech specs linked below for the 1st gen, draft-n APE say that it, too, is dual band, although it doesn't actually seem to be.)
It's confusing since a device can be dual band, but not simultaneous dual band.
1st Gen AirPort Express (AX) is dual band because it can provide a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network. But, it cannot provide both at the same time. It is one or the other.
The 2nd Gen AirPort Express is simultaneous dual band because it provides both a 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz signal at the same time.
    1)  Cable Modem --->  Switch ---> Two APE (all ethernet)
    2)  Cable Modem ---> 2nd Gen APE ---> 1st Gen APE  (all ethernet)
    3)  Cable Modem ---> one APE ~~~> other APE (wireless between APE)
    1) Will not work if you have a simple cable modem....one Ethernet port only.
If your cable "modem" is a modem/router with multiple Ethernet ports, then you could connect both AirPort Express devices back to the modem/router....and you would not need a switch at all unless you need more Ethernet ports for other devices.
    2) would be correct if you have a simple cable modem
    3) If you want to make use of the simultaneous dual band capability of the Express, then that device must be connected directly to the modem. The 1st Gen Express will "extend" one band only.....probably the 2.4 GHz band, since it is stronger.
If you use the 1st Gen Express connected to the modem, the "new" Express will not extend two bands. It will only extend the band that it "sees" from the 1st Gen Express, so you lose the simultaneous dual band capability of the "new" Express in this type of setup.
If you "extend"using wireless only, there is typically a bandwidth loss of about 50%, so it is always a compromise in this type of setup.

  • WICH ONE SHOULD I CONNECT  TO THE INTERNET (DSL) FIRST?

I have a Emachine Desktop and I just purshased a ibook G4. Very soon I will connect to the internet. I will call Cox High Speed Internet Service. Wich of the two should i connect to the DSL? The ibook G4 or the Emachine desktop? I am taking in consideration the wireless Home Network also. This is the reason why I will like to get advise from some one experience on this.
    LightBearer.

    Lightbearer,
The other poster has a DSL modem/router. You may not. Check the back of your modem to be sure.
If your modem only has a single ethernet port, you will need to get a router. The router will have a "WAN" port which must be connected to the modem, and the other "LAN" ports for connecting computers in your network to the router. The router has a DHCP server that will distribute internal IP addresses to each connected computer.
Also, if you are calling Cox cable, you will be getting a cable modem, not a DSL modem. DSL service is provided over your phone line, usually by your phone company

  • BI System copy: 2 SAP BW system should be connect to same R/3 system

    Hi!
We have copy one SAP BW system SR1 to another SAP BW system SR2.
SR1 was connected to SAP R/3 system R31.
As consequence the new SAP BW system SR2 has also in RSA1 --> source system the entry of SAP R/3 system R31.
We would like to restore the source connection in new SAP BW system SR2.
By doing so a pop up comes up with decision to delete an existing connection R31<CLNT>XXX or not to delete this connection to the first BW System SR1.
    Question:
Can 2 BW systems (SR1, SR2) be connected to the same SAP R/3 system (R31) and what should we do in this casee with pop up (delete or not delete the existing connection to the source BW System SR1)?
Any helpful information will be very appreciated!

    HI
    > Can 2 BW systems (SR1, SR2) be connected to the same SAP R/3 system (R31)
Why not? One R/3 system can be connected to many BI/BW system.
    > what should we do in this casee with pop up (delete or not delete the existing connection to the source BW System SR1)?
This pop up is coming because you created your SR2 system as a copy of SR1 system. If you have access to your R/3 system, you can check in table RSBASIDOC there will be  only one entry R31CLNTXXX --- SR1CLNTXXX which is creating problem
What you can do is to run one FM RSAP_BIW_DOSCONNECT ( in the new system) and delete the entry for R31CLNTXXX and SR1CLNTXXX. Then also delete some correspondign entries from EDP13, EDPP1 and EDP21. Then in the new system , from RSA1 create new connection. I Before creating the new source system connection, in your new BI system you can delete the RFC connection for the R/3 system from SM59. During creation of new connection this RFC will be generated once again automatically.  should work fine.
Remember, DO NOT delete connection from RSA1 which in turn will delete all the dataSources.
Please also follow SAP Note 886102 - System Landscape Copy for SAP BW and NW BI carefully before doing ANYTHING with RSBASIDOC.

  • Switched 4s to 5s but how should i connect the 5s to my laptop

i had a 4s but just got the 5s. when connecting to my macbook pro, should i click to restore from my previous phone or set up as a new phone? and what exactly will be on my phone or what happens if i choose either option?

I've always backed up my old phone the day I got the new one and then restored the new phone using that backup. That sets up my email and other accounts, puts the apps on my new phone and configures it nearly 100% to the way the old phone was set up. The only thing the restore doesn't do is configure apps with account names and passwords so, for example, I have to enter my info for DropBox and EverNote. In all it is a painless way to get going.

  • In face time, I can't get my e-mail address accepted. It says I should check connection but my g-mail works fine.

Trying to initiate facetime, I get to the screen where I type in my e-mail address and I keep getting a message that it cannot be found and I should check my internet connection.  However, my g-mail works fine.  What's up?

FaceTime requires an Apple ID, which you should already have (you would not be able to sign in to Apple Support Communities without it). Possibly your gmail address is not an Apple ID?
If needed you can create an Apple ID within the FaceTime application. Click on the "Create New Account" button at the sign in page.
    Best of luck.
