IFS agent does not get notified?

I have an iFS agent which listens for creation and deletion of VersionDescription
instances. I am encountering the following
problems:
1. The agent is not getting notified when a
VersionDescription is deleted.
2. The agent is not gettting notified when
a VersionDescription creation is surrounded
by beginTransaction and completeTransaction.
The agent is getting notified for VersionDescriptions created otherwise (i.e.,
without beginTransaction, completeTransaction). I am using ifs1.1.6. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

componentShown is called when the component's visibility state is changed from false to true.
If your JStatusBar extends JPanel, JPanel's default visibility state is true,
therefore componentShown will not fire
a workaround here

Thread does not get notify

Hello,
I start 10 Threads.
If a thread must wait till recourse are valid then I call wait() method.
If any recourse are valid another synchronized method calls notify() method to wake up the thread.
I have the problem, that some the treads are in wait status and these will never wake up again!
This happens exactly, when I choose for example 10 Threads and 5 recourses, or 8 Threads and 4 resources, etc..
What could be the problem, that some threads do not get notify, even when I use netofyAll() method, the situation is the same!

Most likely problem is that you haven't used synchronized sections properly to manage the flags on which you're waiting.
e.g. notify is being called before wait has done it's thing.

Hi GB,
In order that the WF initiator gets workitems on PR rejection, you need to assign method 'InfoReleaseRejected' (BO BUS2009) to a task in the PR rejection flow of your WF. If this is done, then check if you have assigned WF Initiator as the Agent in that task.

IFS Drive does not mount as well as Item Name error

I'm having two problems:
1. The IFS drive does not mount. (Log info is appended at the end)
2. In IFS Manager, when I click on any of the users, I get the error: IFS-12200: Invalid item name specified (AnonymousCredentials)

Fixed both problems:
- Problem 1 was being caused because of insufficient memory
- Problem 2 was fixed by re-installing IFS.

In the standard workflow WS00300022 with BUS 2104 for Approval of Appropriate request, the agents are not getting determined.
Below are the steps followed:
We have created a subtype for BUS 2104 and redefined the display and edit to add some new functionality. Delegated the business object and followed all the standard steps. Now the present situation is that the Workflow is not able to determine agents.
We have even removed the subtype and checked with the standard functionality but still it is not determining the agents.

Kindly Diagnose your WF:-
Use the following transaction:-
1> SWE4/SWELS -> EVENT TRACE ON/OFF (Switch On the Event Trace)
2> SWEL -> DISPLAY EVENT TRACE
3> SWUD -> WF DIAGNOSTICS
4> SWPR -> WORKFLOW RESTART AFTER ERROR
Enter the WF Number and Click on the LOG Icon.
There you can see the Graphical Log of the WF to know where the WF is stuck.
And You can also check the Technical Details of the WF there, to find which WF Container has what value.
In the LOG, you can determine the step where it is unable to determine the Agent. That will give a picture of how to proceed further and what is the WF status at that point.
Kindly check and revert back, so that a solution can be provided.

I am creating an independent AP Invoice, there are two issues:
1. On line level G/L Account field is not open for selection
2. I have then selected and updated the account on Form Settings. Same account gets updated on line level.
In Journal Entry selected G/L account on line level shall be hitted. But it does not put any effect on JE. Accounting is set by Warehouse. It picks up accounts from warehouse only.
Need help its urgent.

Invoice is Item Type.
G/L Accounts are set by Warehouse. But if explicitly we are want to change the account on line level in that case, it is not getting reflected in Journal entry. On AR Invoice same scenario works perfectly. On line level I can change the accounts explicitly and have the effect on Journal entries.
Issue seems to be on AP side only.
As required please find attached the screen shots.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Audigy 4 Pro - I/O Hub does not get any po

Hello all,
I purchased an Audigy 4 Pro a few days ago and I cannot get the external hub to power on.
This somewhat sumarizes what I tried so far:
. Uninstalled all drivers and software of my old Soundblaster Li've 5. Platinum
2. Also removed all entries of the old soundcard from Device Manager
3. Powered down the PC fully, took out the Li've 5. and powered it back on and logged on to my Windows XP (SP2).
4. Just to be sure before installing the drivers for the Audigy 4 Pro I cleaned out the cookies, temporary internet files, all other Temp folders, the Prefetch folder and also ran a program to clean the registry.
5. De-activated my Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition's Real-time protection, it's services and also my ZoneAlarm Pro from starting up the next time I reboot Windows.
6. Powered down the PC again, took the power cable out, made sure there was no power whatsoever left and carefull inserted the Audigy 4 Pro card in an empty PCI slot.
7. Connected the larger AD_Link to the card, then to the hub
8. Connected the smaller AD_Link to the card, then to the hub
9. Finally connected the power convertor cable to a free systems power unit
0. Double-checked the entire hardware setup a few times and power the PC back on
. Windows XP detected and installed the OHCI Compliant IEEE 394 Host Controller and the 394 Net Adapter
2. Canceled to proceed looking for a driver when it found the Audigy 4 Pro card
3. Installed the drivers and applications that came with the Audigy 4 Pro. Everything went smooth - no error messages during the installation.
4. Rebooted PC after prompting to do so.
5. With ZoneAlarm and my Norton Antivirus de-activated, all drivers and programs installed properly the external I/O hub does NOT get any power. I also made sure to check this with the remote control.
I have ofcourse no sound coming out that hub when plugging in my headphone and also cannot use my microphone.
6. I ran the Diagnostics program that was installed automatically with the other Creative applications: It claims there aren't any problems.
7. Powered down the PC again, checked all connectors, powered the PC up again: Same problem... no power.
8. Installed the latest 4-in- drivers found on viaarena.com: Same problem
9. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and applications: Same problem
20. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and applications after taking out all other PCI cards and placing the Audigy 4 Pro card into an other PCI slot: Same problem
2. Set my BIOS to factory defaults: Same problem
22. Formatted the PC and reinstalled Windows XP (SP) with every update thinkable... Same problem
23. Formatted the PC AGAIN ( ! ) and reinstalled Windows (SP2) with updates .... Same problem
Another problem: Sent a detailed e-mail to Creative Support Europe.... Still NO respons after 48+ hours.
Anyone else should have a solution I would appreciate trying out, or if all fails I'll go for a Terratec model.

Amazing, I got mine about 3 days ago and have been pulling my hair out trying to resolve the same problem. I have checked power connections, reinstalled drivers. I think something is wrong with the box. I tried to call support yesterday, which was a Saturday, but they aren't available til Monday. I guess I will call them Monday. Let me know if you find anything out in the mean time.

Solution Manager does not get service definitions from SAP in self diagnosi

In our production solution manager transaction solution_manager, self diagnosis we are getting a warning message on our development solution manager.
Solution Manager XXX does not get service definitions from SAP.
The production Solution Manager is the master in SDCCN for the test Solution Manager. In the test Solution Manager, the scheduled task REFRESH SERVICE DEFINITIONS has task System ID of O01. It is pointed to RFC destination SDCC_OSS, not the production Solution Manager system.
It gives the same warning if I point the task to the production Solution Manager system.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

i guess have you activated SDCCN from your solution manager system too?
if not please activate. since that setup helps solman retrive the service definitions used in SDCCN from SAP (SAPOSS).so this ultimately allows you to set solution manager system as Master, so all the satellite system get the service definition from solman and do not need a direct SAPOSS connection.

Either one of you needs to uncheck the other's phone number under settings<messages<send & receive or one of you needs to sign out of the apple ID in iMessage settings altogether by pressing the apple id on the page and choosing 'sign out'

My itunes does not get the names of all tracks which i import.

When i import a cd into itunes, it does not get any track names. Why is this.
Also, itunes does not connect to the music store. It tells me that i should check my connection etc etc. Are these problems related, and what can i do to fix it?

Let me guess, did you just install/upgrade iTunes?
If so, then it's surely your security software (firewall, web accelerator, privacy filters, etc) that is blocking iTunes.
The iTunes "upgrade" is actually an uninstall, then total new install, of iTunes and QuickTime. Many security packages such as Norton, Zone Alarm, Google Web accelerator, McAfee, PCillin (...the list is long) see this new iTunes install as a malicious threat, and block out the previous settings without telling you.
Go to your security software vendor's website and see if they have directions for allowing iTunes & QT back in the list of programs allowed to access the internet.

Could you please post replies in a more helpful way? Just informing me that it was an NPE doesn't really tell me anything. Post the stacktrace (Exception#printStackTrace()). And the listFile() methods API has this to say:

Lov command link does not get refreshed

We are using Jheadstart 11.1.1.4.26 with Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and we think we have found a bug.
The scenario includes two items, an inputtext (FirstName) and an LovItem (ManagerId)
The LovItem (ManagerId) is dependent on the inputtext (FirstName) with Clear/Refresh and has a Disabled Expession #{bindings.EmployeesFirstName.inputValue==null} so that when the Firstname is null the LovItem (ManagerId) is disabled.
This seems to work fine except from the commandLink of the LovItem which does not get refreshed. This is probably because the Id of the commandLink is not included in the componentsToRefresh item inside the EmployeesFirstNameDependsOnItem.
Of course we could create a custom vm for the default/misc/facesConfig/dependsOnItemBean.vm and pass the id of the commandlink but we are looking for a more generic way.
