Image centres in cs5

More problems that are driving me nuts. The image in the link below displays left in firefox (which is what I want) but shows as centred in dreamweaver. Any ideas please as I'm pulling my hair out here Thanks for any advice.

The quickest way is inline right after the last floated <div>
<div id="leftcolumn"><p><script language="JavaScript" src="date.js"></script></div>
<div id="ticker">
<ul class="news "
style="list-style-type: none;">
<li>what the hell is going wrong....heeelllpppppp!!
<li>
<li><li>
</ul>
</div>
<img src="logof1.jpg" width="489" height="74" />
id="leftcolumn" is float: left
id="ticker" is float: right
so
<div id="leftcolumn"><p><script language="JavaScript" src="date.js"></script></div>
<div id="ticker">
<ul class="news "
style="list-style-type: none;">
<li>what the hell is going wrong....heeelllpppppp!!
<li>
<li><li>
</ul>
</div>
<div style="clear: both"></div>
<img src="logof1.jpg" width="489" height="74" />
Might not solve your issue but it's a start.

  • How do I save image and text as a single image in InDesign CS5.0?

    How do I save an image and text as one image in InDesign CS5.0? NOT 5.5.
    I need to save the image as a 72-dpi, jpg file for ePub purposes. I designed a book and am handing it off to someone for ePub.
    This is what I've tried:
    1) Copied from InDesign, pasted into a PhotoShop doc as a Smart Object. Saved it as 72 dpi jpg, then imported back into ID.
    2) Took a screenshot of ID page, placed it in PS, saved as 72 dpi, imported into ID
    3) Saved page as a PDF from InDesign, then saved PDF as 72 dpi jpg, then imported into ID.
    4) Save page as a PDF from InDesign, placed into Photoshop and saved
    as 72 dpi, then imported into ID.
    5) Saved as an EPS from InDesign, placed in PS, then imported back to ID.
    In all cases, the type looks terrible. It doesn't seem to matter whether I copy or place into Photoshop, though placing is slightly better.
    HELP!!!

    In all cases, the type looks terrible. It doesn't seem to matter whether I copy or place into Photoshop, though placing is slightly better.
    Naturally what you did will result in rasterized text. Did you preview with high quality settings?
    Are you sure the people who will handle that downstream need pixel images and do you have the exact pixel dimensions needed?
    Why did you place the image back in Indesign, by the way?

  • How do I add an alt tag to an image in Photoshop CS5 so that it is web ready?

    How do I add an alt tag to an image in Photoshop CS5 so that it is web ready?  My web developer wants me to send him all of my images with an alt-tag assigned so that he can automate the ADA accessibility of the website. I know when I choose to "Save for Web & Devices," I have the option of how much metadata I want to include to the levels of : None, Copyright, Copyright and Contact Info, All Except Camera Info, All.  I don't want the audience to be able to view all of the metadata because a lot of it is sensitive with administrative notes.  Any ideas?

    To anyone else who may encounter this issue in the future, here is a work around:
    File > File Info:
    Sacrifice a metadata field in the description tab.  I chose document title and description. Click OK.
    File > Save for Web and Devices:
    Choose to save All Metadata.
    Leave things here on your end, and have the web-developer map the code to display only the appropriate metadata field.

    Hey!
    This will remove all images from your InDesign document:
    var myLinks = app.activeDocument.links.everyItem().parent;
    for(var i = 0; i < myLinks.length; i++)
        myLinks[i].remove();
    Hope that helps.

  • I can not open canon 60d raw images on photoshop CS5.1? can not go to updates either- error?

    I can not open canon 60d raw images on photoshop CS5.1? the same program on stationary mac can open the same raw files, whereas new lap top can not? Why?  can not go to updates either- error, why?

    Which version of mac os x does your new mac have?
    What error do you get when going to Help>Updates in photoshop cs5.1?
    You might try downloading and installing the 6.7 camera raw update from here:
    Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Camera Raw 6.7 Update
    If you need any other updates, you can find most of them here:

  • Opening Lightroom images in photoshop cs5 ACR

    Is there any way to edit Lightroom 3.0 images in Photoshop Cs5 ACR? If I choose Edit in Photoshop the image goes directly to photoshop and bypasses ACR. I have tried creating an ACR option in Preferences but cant find the ACR file. Can anyone help?

    No...and there is no reason to do so. Lightroom and Camera Raw share the exact same processing pipeline–assuming you are using the same rev version. The only way to take a raw image into Photoshop and use the Camera Raw dlog is to open as a Smart Object which will give you the SO version of Camera Raw inside the Photoshop document.

    Camera Raw 7+ is only compatible with Photoshop CS6+ CS5's compatibility stopped with Raw 6.7 http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applic ations.html If you don't upgrade Photoshop, your next best option is to convert your D600 Raw files to DNG and work on the DNGshttp://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.displayTab2.htmlhttp://www.adobe.com/suppor t/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5486

  • How do you blur an image in InDesign CS5.5 (wtihout Photoshop)?

    I'd like to apply a guassian blur to an image in InDesign CS5.5, but I don't have acces to Photoshop or any other real graphics program on my employers Windows laptop.  Is there any feature in InDesign that would result in a guassian blur look?

  • Importing Microsoft Word document with images to InDesign CS5

    Hey,
    I'm trying to import a MS Word document that contains inline images to InDesign CS5.
    I tried File->Place with checking "Import Inline Graphics" but unfortunately it imports the document without the images, there are blank regions where the images are suppose to be.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Kathy

    Yes, aligning image on its own paragraph works, I will skip wraping text inside paragraph, this can be done inside InDesign. Here is one part of Internet PDF books I am talking about, both are in Serbian http://issuu.com/bojan_zivkovic/docs/prikazivanje_slika_u_adobe_photoshop_elements - word + indesign, http://www.scribd.com/doc/49583823/Nau%C4%8Dite-Adobe-Photoshop   - indesign only
    Basicaly I am writing tutorials then turn them into PDF books, for now.
    Thank you, I never try to insert image on its own paragraph.

    Have you looked at your page with images disabled?
    I urge you to re-think this approach to web design because images of text are not indexed by search engines, screen readers or translators.  Given the demographic group your site is targeting, you really need to ensure maximum web accessibility for all users.
    Navigation, headings and descriptions all need to be in real text -- not images of text.
    Ken is right.  Absolute positioning is pure poison for such a simple layout.  My advice is to start over with one of the pre-built Starter Pages in DW.  Go to File > New > Blank page > HTML.  Select a layout from the 3rd column and hit CREATE button.

  • After CS6beta install, how to I tell CS5 bridge to open images in Photoshop CS5?

    I am not ready to do all of my work in CS6 now, I am just trying to learn the interface.  But now I cannot opening anything through bridge or windows explorer using Photoshop CS5 at all.  The only way that I can open any image file in CS5 is to do it directly from Photoshop in the file open menu.  How can I set Bridge CS5 to at least have Photoshop CS5 as an option, if not the default?

    Open Photoshop CS5, and launch Bridge from there (Ctrl Alt o) That will open Bridge CS5, and load images into Photoshop CS5.

  • Catolog/Index Images in Photoshop CS5

    Being new to using Photoshop CS5 is there a way to catalog or create an index of all my images within PS CS5?  Right now I am backing up my image folders to cd's to store off site but with numerous cd's I don't remember what's on each CD unless I manual create a list/index or spreadsheet.  Someone mention that PS CS5 does this, but I haven't seen anythng in the menus that looks like this function.  Can this be done in PS CS5 or do I need to aquire another program to do this?
    Thanks
    Jim

    Information given is very helpful and something I would/will use.  Was hoping that I could this for two or more folders on a CD, instead of one pdf contact for each folder.  And maybe I'm not explaining this correct.  For example on a cd I have three folders and in each folders are images that I have name for the subject so I don't have to open each image to see what it is (example - folder JIM_Bday and in the folder are named images of jim_dbay1, jim_bday2 and etc,,).  This naming practice is used for all folders, sub-folders and image names.  Since I have 50 cd's containing different subject images and etc was looking for a inventory/catalog that would list what is contained on each cd.  Maybe this is as simple as doing a DOS dir and then piping that into excel.  But then maybe it would be better to create a contact pdf for reach folder.

  • I can´t import or place any images in photoshop CS5

    I can´t import or place any images in photoshop CS5. I receive always the note that there is a program error. Could someone help me with this problem?
    Thank you very much.
    Silvia

    Good day!
    What is your OS?
    Can you open the images?
    Boilerplate-text:
    Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by pressing command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift while starting Photoshop until the appropriate dialog appears after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)

  • Placed images in Illy CS5

    When I place images in Illustrator CS5,
    I usually do it with RGB jpegs or RGB Psd (photoshop images)
    while my document in illustrator  is in CMYK mode
    Then When my file is ready to be send for print
    I save AS PDF (option Press Quality is Checked)
    My question is the following:
    Do I need to convert the placed photoshop images
    into CMYK and/or  any other particular format (tiff or else)
    AND THEN SAVE IT as PDF
    Or when saved as PDF the program automatically does for me???
    I used to be a FREEHAND user and with Freehand we had to convert the images in CMYK (tif)
    and then REPLACE THEM with the new ones before sending the file to a print shop
    So far In illustrator I haven,t been converting my images into CMYK
    and had no problems with my printed jobs (leaving all placed files as are - RGB)
    IS THIS THE RIGHT WAY ...ANY OTHER CLUES AS TO WHAT TO DO
    THANK YOU VERY MUCH
    GYPAS

    Thanks Monica
    I think that color management issues are a thing I need to dig into a little more.
    As I have mentioned so Far I  Have not had ANY problems with the printed outcome
    even if I left the placed images in RGB formats
    The reason that suits me at least is that I save time this way (not having to convert the placed files in CMYK)
    AND THEN REPLACE THEM.
    Also I keep my Hard drive not so full since I dont keep CMYK files that take up more memory and space.
    BUT THE QUESTION CONTINUES....
    Is it better to EMBED the images upon placement. Does Illy treat them any different???
    Thanks again for your valuable input
    Keep up the good work
    A.
