Image overlapping and aligning

Hi,
I'm trying to add 2 white lines ontop of my #header picture. I've managed to make them overlap, but I can't seem to move them where I want them to be.
I'll post my code below, but since I don't have a website, you wont be able to see the picture so I'll be posting a picture on how it looks and how I want it to look below my code.
Do not hesitate if you feel like commenting on other parts of my code, I do not understand the placement logic in css stylesheet yet...

That white line you see here is my two whitw lines, they're just placed right above each other and the image is kinda small...
and this is how I want the 2 lines to be placed:

I might've thought out a solution for my problem. The padding in my #leftheader is the problem why I can't place my lines where I want them. What I think I need to do is to add my lines inside the #leftheader before I add my links, so that I can use spacing to place my links where I want them after I've added the lines. But earlier on I've had troubles when I wanted to align my links to the bottom of my #leftheader, and that still pussles me why I couldn't do so.
If I do add something inside my #leftheader and try to align it top, right, bottom, left etc, shouldn't they be aligned according to the outerlines of my #leftheader? (that's what I tried to do, but since i didn't get it to work, I added "padding" to place the links where I wanted them to be) I might've tried to align my links in the wrong place inside my code, anyway I'll try to solve the problem with what I just came up with.

So how did you do it?
by understand what iweb widgets do, in this case setting gridEntry widget's scalMode preference from fill to fit.
then reset the displayed image, so it fits in the display area even if it's portrait aspect.
however, i found some glitches in gridEntry widget that's quite strange... but all fix-able.
perhaps, iweb experts (whose had poked at my example) here can chime in.

IOS6... How do I see the full screen when watching youtube videos and second the map quality is very poor, foggy most of the time and images overlap to each other... Can I restore to IOS6 if these problems can not be solved?

I just upgraded to IOS6 and I have some difficulties that I never had on IOS5:
How can a see the full screen when watching youtube. Address bar is always in view.
Maps are foggy and some images overlap to eachother.
If these problems can not be solved, how do I downgrade back to IOS5?

No, there is no legitimate way to downgrade iOS to an earlier version.
Be patient, Apple will eventually get around to fixing the "bugs" in iOS 6.

Rotated image overlaps other controls

Hi, I am working on an AIR app involving images. One of the functionalities is viewing as well as rotating images. I made a simple test app to illustrate this portion:

The application window has text on the top and a button on the bottom, with the image in the middle. Each click of the button rotates the image by 90 degrees.
On launch, the app works great. It fetches the image file and fits it to the Image container. As I resize the application, the image also resizes and maintains the position relative to the other controls. Top text and bottom button are where they should be. All good. Let's assume the image is landscape/wide. After I perform the rotate 90 degrees by clicking the button, although the image is rotated and now in portrait orientation, the bottom portion of the image is now out of the image boundary and overlapping the button.
Is there a way to tell the image to fit the content to the container again? Basically, re-layout the whole thing as if the image is in this new orientation.
I suppose I can try to figure out a change in scale and resize the image, but I am not sure if this will hold when the user resizes the application. Also, the rotated image is now rather far to the left, as the "top left" corner is where a landscape image would be. For a portait orientation that's centered horizontally, it should be further to the right. I suppose I can also come up with some formula to center the rotated image. It just seems that the application already has all this logic built in, as it did exactly what I wanted when the image was loaded initially. If I can just ask the application to do it again. Note that similar issue occurs if the image starts out in portrait orientation and is rotated to landscape (too far to the right).

Today I opened the project to try different zoom settings and the problem has vanished; I get the correct arrow at zooms of 100, 120 and 140%.
Likely a bug somewhere deep in Frame's innards. Anyway we've ordered TCS3 so soon I'll be using FM10. Thanks anyway.

Images overlap with text when after creating pdf: InDesign CS

Good morning,
I am using bot InDesign CS and CS2, and I am having a problem as the following:
After creating the pdf, images overlap with one another, or the text overlap behind the images so on.
First, I would like to mention the overlapped images had no problem at the previous version of the pdf. If I make a change on the page "06" for example and then recreate the pdf, a couple of images in the other pages move to the different place through the document.
So I tend to "replace" the changed pages into the previous version of the pdf instead of recreating the pdf for all pages.
Is this kind of bug or features of InDesign?
It would be very much appreciated if anyone answer me.

The PDF that was placed into ID loses all interactivity and form fields. There is no way to do what you want.

Adjust image width and position along with browser size automatically.

Hi, I'm trying to place an image at the left edge of browser window, and the image width is 50% of the browser window size. The similar effect can be found on this website. Lenzing Instruments
Notice that as the browser zoom out, the image remains half of the width of browser window and align with the right edge of the browser.
I'm new to Muse. Not sure if it is possible to achieve this effect in Muse. I know Muse can set image 100% width of browser window, but how about 50%, 75% and other user defined proportion?

Exact responsiveness cannot be achieved but yes with scroll and pin you can create a similar effect
I also followed this post Can you create responsive sites with Adobe Muse? It seems that Muse does not support responsive design very well. So I'm not sure how exactly to get an similar responsive design effect in Muse.

Formatting and alignment issues in Crystal Reports when exported to PDF

Hi Experts,
When we export the crystal reports 2013 reports to PDF we are facing issues with formatting and alignment. The columns are overlapping and also for some column's data, we are able to see only some parts of text when exported to PDF.
Data source for these reports is EHP 7 (SAP ECC 6.0), BO 4.1, Crystal reports 2013.
As these reports are on priority, your help and suggestions are much appreciated.

I am creating an applet and I want to use an image as a background to a jPanel. There is a jTextField on the panel that is hidden because the BG image overlaps it. I would like the image to be used as a background and only as a background. Any Suggestions? Duke Dollars will be awarded.

Image swap and restore

The image swap and restore won't work. I want to have one
image switch to another when clicked and then get restored to the
original image when clicked again. It lets me click once, but it
won't restore the image on another click. I found that when i
change the behavior (to say, double click) it works. Is there any
way to have the two images toggle back and forth when i have a
single click?

Flash CS4, Exporting Quicktime Movie: size, aspect ratio, and alignment

I am new to Flash so this may be a basic question, but I have not been able to find anything in the help files or the forums.
I have tried several times to change the size of my quicktime movies, from 550 pixels by 400 pixels to 480 pixels by 480 pixels, and I cannot seem to do it. I have used "Modify > Document" and tried every option I could find through this command. Each time I export I double check that the export settings match my desired size, and they do, but when I open the movie in quicktime, it has been stretched to fit 550 x 400 pixels. The preview movie looks exactl how I want, it is only the exported movie that is incorrect.
Is it possible to make a quicktime movie of the size I would like, or is that a standard format that cannot be adjusted?
As a workaround, I have tried squeezing my 480x480 content into the 550x400 stage (while scaling it prportionally). but when I do this, the square of content is not centered in the background in quicktime. It is off center in the preview movie as well, and this commonly occurs after I have used "modify > document" to change the size of the document. The side to which it is aligned seems to be inconsistent.
Is there a way to realign the video after I have modified the document size? Does changing the document size through "modify > document" affect the centering and alignment of my video? Is there a way to change it back?
I have attached images of my videos in flash, and then what they look like after export.

to explain a little further . . .
the dark gray areas in my images delineate the content of the animation, and in the "550x400 after export" image, the black strip to the right is a margin showing the background color of the document, which is black. notice that there is only a margin on one side, and not both.

Trouble getting lines not to overlap after alignment

Hello,
I'm having trouble getting lines to align so that there's no overlap. In the screenshot below, you can see that there are tiny black outline jutting over or above the colored lines. I've played with the corner, stroke and alignment settings to no avail. Any ideas?

That maybe an artifact that will not print did you try to zoom to high magnifaction?
You can sort of see what you see above but when opened in Photoshop it looks fin

Image Capture and Preview "folder not writable" error importing to shared folder

I'm running 10.8.5 on a Late 2012 model Mac Mini. I'm trying to create a folder under my home directory where my wife can import pictures using Image Capture or Preview while logged into her account. I've tried setting permissions on the folder by setting POSIX permissions and ACLs from the command line, and also by setting ACLs using Get Info in Finder, but it seems as though both Image Capture and Preview ignore the ACLs and instead rely solely on the POSIX permissions for everyone/other (even when a relevant group is set). Unless the POSIX permissions for everyone/other are "rwx" Image Capture and Preview both give an error that the import failed, and /var/log/system.log shows errors that the "folder is not writable". I'd like to be able to set this up without making the folder and the files in it writable by everyone. My understanding was that ACLs should take precedence over POSIX permissions, but even the POSIX permissions don't seem to be getting handled properly, because the group is ignored. Any help or explanation of what's happening would be appreciated.
Here's an example with details:
Suppose we have the users alice and bob. We want to set permissions on the directory /Users/bob/importdir such that Alice can import files from a camera there using Image Capture (or Preview, either would do), but don't want to relax the permissions more than necessary.
We create a group named bob_and_alice
We set the following permissions on /Users/bob:
POSIX: rwxr-xr-x, owner=bob, group=staff (i.e. default POSIX permissions)
ACLs:
0: group:everyone deny delete
1: group:bob_and_alice allow list,search,readattr,readextattr,readsecurity
2: user:alice allow list,search,readattr,readextattr,readsecurity
"Get Info" shows "Read & Write" for bob and "Read Only" for alice, bob_and_alice, staff, and everyone

Alice opens a Terminal and cd's to /Users/bob/importdir. Alice can create and delete files in this directory.
Now Alice opens Image Capture and with our camera connected we try to import a photo to /Users/bob/importdir. Image Capture shows an error dialog with the text "Import error. An error occurred while importing. The item 'foo.jpg' was not imported." /var/log/system.log shows the message: "Jul 20 22:12:34 computer_name.local Image Capture[32804]: Document destination folder is not writable" If instead Alice uses Preview it shows an error dialog with the text "The selected folder is not writable" and /var/log/system.log shows two error messages:

Now we change the POSIX permissions on /Users/bob/importdir to: rwxrwxrwx
The import succeeds with both Image Capture and Preview
Can anyone explain what's going on here? Is there another reasonable way to do this without, moving this shared directory to /Users/shared?

If the image is already a Grayscale U8 image you would just have to save it to a bitmap file using the IMAQ WriteFile VI. If not, use the IMAQ Cast Image VI to convert it to a Grayscale U8 and then save it.
Also, it would probably be better to create a new thread for questions like these.

Hi I have been having a problem with Bridge in CS4 recently. So uninstalled CS4 and Lightroom 4.4 and reinstalled them on my Desktop PC. When I turned on Bridge through CS4, My thumb nail images disappeared and a thumb nail icon with CR2 appeared. Now some of my images have disappeared from Light room 4.4, but I can find them in CS4 and Bridge now shows some thumb nails as images and some as an icon with CR2. I have spent two weeks going through preferences etc. to find how to resolve my problem. Please can you Help? Meany thanks in advance

I don't use LR and rarely use the bridge so I can not answers about thumbnails in them, However thumbnails in windows file explorer and windows dialog for CS2 files will only show if you have installed codec into windows that will produce them. Windows does not do CR2 thumbnails on its own. I use FastPictureViewer Codec package for RAW File and PSD files thunbmail support.
