Importing configuration from main to backup switch.

I need help, i backuped the configuration of me main switch to .txt file be "Dowloand\Backup Configuration" and i have problem with importing this file to new switch. Can someone write me what should i do if i want to import this file? The switch is Cisco SG300-28.

The easiest method is to copy the contents of the text file back into the Global Config mode of your switch. I've copied the instructions with the required commands below. More can be found at the link at the bottom including ways to setup a TFTP server to backup and restore configurations.
RESTORE A CONFIGURATION
Connect to the switch/router that needs the configuration.
Open the config.txt file.
Highlight the entire contents of the config.txt file.
You can do this by dragging the cursor from before the first character to after the last character in the file while holding down the left mouse button. Alternatively, if you use Notepad, you can choose Edit > Select All from the menu.
Copy the selected text to the Windows clipboard.
You can either choose Edit > Copy from the text editor menu, or hold down the CTRL key and simultaneously press the Ckey in order to perform the copy.
Switch to the HyperTerminal window, and issue the configure terminal command at the Router# prompt. Then press Enter.
Paste the configuration file into the router by selecting Edit > Paste to Host on the HyperTerminal menu.
After the configuration has finished pasting and the router brings you back to the configuration prompt, issue the copy running-config startup-config command in order to write the configuration into memory.
Issue the exit command in order to return to the Router# prompt.

HI Tom,
Please check your username and password. It iseems it is incorrect.
Try o login with same id and password on
http://<server>:<port>/devinf
Here, try to login on each link. i.e.
CBS
CMS
SLD
and DTR.
It will ask for ID and password once again. Check whether it is working here.
There might be possibilities That you ID is locked.

Importing data from a data-backup file

Hi,
my application runs external process that imports (should import) data from a backup file created using the exp command. Export file is created by gDBUser from global database (GDB) and should be imported by lDBUser to local database (LDB).

Everything works fine as long as the user running my application is member of the DBA system (Windows) group. Unfortunately, in most cases the user does not belong to that group and import fails with the following error message:
IMP-00058: ORACLE error 1031 encountered
ORA-01031: insufficient privilegesUsername:
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
Users should not be members of the DBA group in order not to be able to modify the data otherways then by using the app. They don't even know the dbUserName nor dbUserPass.
Is there a way to be able to perform such import without running it as member of DBA group?
I'll appreciate your help.

Hi Mark,
No, it isn't necessary to connect as sysdba.
In the meantime I found the solution.
My dbUser had no CREATE TABLE privilege. As soon as I granted it and removed "AS SYSDBA" from the userid parameter everything started to work fine.

Import apps from time machine backup ext. hard drive

I just reinstalled by Mac OS X 10.5.8 using my original installation discs. I'd like to selectively import a stand-alone application (vitual piano) from my external hard drive time machine which I had used to back up my Mac. Can I do this after I upgrade to Snow Leopard?

I solved this myself. I found that, after upgrading to Mac OS Lion from Snow Leopard, some of the aliased folders in my Time Machine backup hard drive are not locked, but the regular folders are locked. Apparently this is new in Lion. (As I mentioned above, my MacBook is too old to upgrade to Mountain Lion.) I had based my query above on my ability to delete things from some aliased folders on my backup hard drive. Fortunately, they are locked in the equivalent non-aliased folders.

Importing data from an old backup AppSet (copying from FactFinance tables)

Hello - we made a mistake a few weeks ago that wiped out some of our old data. Without realizing the implications, I made a base-level member of our DEPARTMENT dimension a parent, so BPC wiped out all the data for that base-level member. We know not to do that now, and we've changed the member back to base-level. But, our data is still gone.
But, our system automatically makes a backup every day, so we have the data saved. I am now trying to get the old data into our current AppSet. One of our DBA's queried the FactFinance table and found 30,000 records where the department = the one we accidentally erased. This sounded like the correct # of records, so I had him send me the data in a .csv file. I have now verified that all of the data is there in the backup. The DBA copied the records from the the FactFinance table to a test environment of our current AppSet. But, when I go in to look at it, very few records are there. For example, he says he copied 30,000 records, but I only see about 2,000 when I query the AppSet. If it matters, the records that we see only relate to the last three fiscal years, and none of the older data is there.
Can someone tell me how we can get all of these records to appear in our AppSet by copying them to the tables? Or, is there a way to import the data using the Data Manager? I tried saving the records as a .txt file and importing them, but that did not work, probably due to my lack of knowledge of how to manipulate transformation files. Although the file did validate with a transformation file, when I went to import it, it said "Convert Data: Success", but then said "The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified".

If you did a backup of your appset then you will be ablle to recuperate all data for that member of dimension.
1. First extract the data from backup from follow tables:
tblfact"yourapplication"
tblfac2"yourapplication"
tblfactwb"yourapplication".
2. Make sure your member is right now base member into your application
3. Delete all the existing records for Department member for all three table
fact,fac2, wb of your current database. By the way if this dimension is share then you will have this problem in all application not just in one.
4. Copy extracted records into tblfac2"yourapplication"
5. Process from SSAS fac2 partition of your application.
After that you should be able to see all data except the data inserted after your change from base member to parent.

Can you import photos from time machine backup after clean install

I had to do a clean install of Mt. Lion. So now I have all my photos on the time machine backup. Is there a way to get those photos in to my library?

When I go back to the backup it does not let me go back to the previous backupprobably because the last backup was Lion and I am on Mt. Lion now. don't what to do another backup if that is going to mess up the old one. I can access it though by just going to it. So i am putting that one on my desktop and I am going to rename it and see if I can open in Iphoto.

Import Contacts from emails like hotmail, gmail,...

Do you kno wany functions atht permit to import contacts from
main emails (yahoo.com, hotmail, gmail, ...) if the user accepts to
give his user and password .
it is used to send invitations to diffrent users. A lot of
sites begin to use that, it is completely viral and I found scripts
for .net, c++, php, vb, .. but not for ColdFusion.
It is comletely actaul to have this fucntion available since
concurrent use it and I don't find any way to do it in Coldfusion
except by using cfx_http5 but is does not use the API of the emails
providers and is not easy to support( if the email change his
design, the cfx_http5 function has to be corrected each time).
I think it could help a lot of users to have this function
available for Cold Fusion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it isn't possible, I was
just mentioning that you might want to consider another option,
giving the user a bit more control.
I haven't seen any CF based solutions for what you are
describing, but If you've found scripts in c++, consider turning
that into cfx_tag. If you can find a Java based solution, that
might be easier to integrate by installing the class/jar file and
using cfobject.
Screen scraping is probably the only option unless the target
service provides an easily consumable source such as XML or through
an API. In the case of a Yahoo Premium account, you can export
contact information, such as to a CSV. You may also have to develop
the authentication mechanism which might require the use of an API
key along with some encryption mechanism (usually MD5) to encode
the api key, userid, and password to obtain an authentication
token.
As far as "MySpace is doing it", there might be some behind
the scenes agreements that have been worked out both from a
technical as well as a legal aspect. I would suggest that you
contact each service that you are planning on supporting with this
feature directly. The response you get back should give you a
pretty clear indication on what is allowed, assuming you can get
past the "Customer Support" screeners.
You mentioned that what you are attempting is temporary in
nature, but can the user be 100% convinced that it is temporary?
Unless the user has 100% access to your system to verify that the
information hasn't been kept in a log or database, they can't be
sure. Case in point, Disney is a well respected company but
recently one of their employees was caught in an Identity Theft

A user's permission doesn't mean that you haven't violated
the services "TOS" . While there are coding applications in other
langages that can perform email harvesting, that doesn't
necessarily mean that they are legal just because they exist.

My iPad shows a text box on my start up screen iCloud backup stating that the iPad has not been backed up in 2 weeks etc and i press "ok" to acknowledge but it will not erase and I cannot turn the pad off by the main on off switch - cannot use pad!!

Routing rules for backup switch in a VRRP configuration/topology

I would like to figure out which is the best solution to the following:
A main switch(5412zl) has a common base static route 0.0.0.0 to the firewall.
The main switch is directly connected to the firewall through a normal rj-45 network cable.
What type of routing configuration should I have on the backup switch, so that traffic flows to the firewall if the main switch is unavailable?

How to import the itunes configuration from an old drive to a new C drive?

I recently upgraded my computer and replaced all the hardware (motherboard, CPU, etc). However I kept the old "C" drive as a back-up with all the software
including the i-tunes files(playlists, etc). I replaced the old XP OS with an upgraded Windows XP OS and downloaded the last version of i-tunes 8 (8.2.0.23). Is there a way to recover the previous configuration and playlist files that I had before? I tried to use the library import feature but couldn't find the access path to get the old data. Any tips on how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

2 considerations:
The first one is that (as you experienced) one should not delete or rename any of the predefined columns in the risk/issue list. What you did is the right way, meaning keeping the native column as is and creating new ones based on the business needs. Finally
you just need to create view with the appropriate fields.
Then for importing risks from an Excel list, I can't test it right now, but you should have a datagrid view (MS Access type) allowing you pasting data from Excel.

Yes...It is certainly possible but then you would need to bring OS level j2ee filestructure as well and there are lots of changes at OS level in *.properties file and then at configtool level changes related to hostname, system numbers and port numbers etc.
This is not much difficult but not impossible also if you do it very carefully. Please note that SAP DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS METHOD.
alternatively, you can use sapinst to export-import j2ee filesystem from source to target which inturn would require to do configtool export/import and then changes at configtool level.

have a redundant pair of CSM , would like to move slave CSM to a new switch, what is quickest way to eliminate all configuration from this switch so the same can be installed on the new switch , without reloading the switch or causing any downtime to already existing connections through the master CSM.
