In CS5 Soundbooth 6 Monospuren als 5.1 ausgeben?
Hallo Leute,
5.1 File erstellen?
Grüße
I believe LR 4 supports 7.x raw.
Understand CS6 will now read future versions of ACR like 8.x but without enhancements. THis is allow new cameras to be read.
Do not think there are any 3rd party plugins for reading 7.x on CS5.

PP 5.1 Spur in Soundbooth abmischen u. wieder als 5.1 ausgeben
Hallo Leute,
Was mache ich falsch?
Vielen Dank vorab.Hallo Antonio,
www.hilfdirselbst.ch/foren/Verschobene_Textobjekte_bei_Direktexport_aus_InDesign_CS5_5_P48 4338.html

How can I export a single track in Soundbooth CS5?
Greetings,
I have built up a single track in Soundbooth composed of several repeated clips. I wish to export this single track.
How can I do this in CS5 Soundbooth?
Thanks,
folsombobSorry nobody has answered this. I haven't been in this forum in a couple of weeks.
If you have all the tracks right where you want them, are you able to save the file as an mp3?
Are you looking to export it for web use?
For video tracking?
I'm not sure why you'd want to export it as opposed to saving in one of the many available formats. -
Hi
this isn't a PPro question (sorry) but seeing that many expert users frequent this forum more than the Bridge forum, i thought i would post here...
I have a few video files with AC-3 encoded audio
Audio
ID : 189 (0xBD)-128 (0x80)
Format : AC-3
Format/Info : Audio Coding 3
Mode extension : CM (complete main)
Muxing mode : DVD-Video
Duration : 1mn 24s
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 256 Kbps
Channel(s) : 2 channels
Channel positions : Front: L R
Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
Bit depth : 16 bits
Compression mode : Lossy
Delay relative to video : -514ms
Stream size : 2.58 MiB (6%)
the files load and play fine in Premiere (CS5), Soundbooth etc... but not in Bridge (4.0.4.2) , the video plays but audio isn't there...
is AC-3 support supposed to be uniform across the entire CS5 Production Premium suite ? are there DLL i need to copy to the Bridge directory ?similar to the old issue in CS4 ?
thanks in advance
SamPrevious versions of After Effects and Premiere Pro installed both DLLs and ActiveX controls for codecs licensed from third parties. After Effects CS5 (and later) and Premiere Pro CS5 (and later) only install the DLLs, because we don't need the ActiveX controls, and they were just causing problems. Unknown to us, Bridge CS4 was relying on those ActiveX controls being installed. So, Bridge CS5 and later---not having these codecs---can't play some kinds of files.
In a manner of speaking, Bridge CS4 being able to play these files was an accident.
If you want to have AC-3 preview in Bridge, you should make a feature request. -
Parallel installation of cs4 design premium and cs5 production ?
Hallo
I bought 1 year ago the cs4 design premium suite.
Now I would like to buy the cs5 production suite because I need aftereffect and premiere. Is it possible to install programmes from both cs4 and cs5 suites on one windows System without problems? I use still win vista, but I would like to update to win 7. So perhaps the problems are different depending on the os?
So I would like to install:
from cs5 production:
aftereffect cs5
premiere cs5
photoshop cs5
flash catalyst / professional cs5
bridge cs5
illustrator cs5
onlocation cs5
soundbooth cs5
encore cs5
bridge cs5
and combine it with:
indesign cs4
dreamweaver cs4
fireworks cs4
Would it function at all or not? Would that cause conflicts in special situations? Are the different adbobe programmes able to load updates, when there are cs5 and cs4 programmes on one win system together?
Would there be a problem in for example working with the flash cs5 together with dreamweaver/fireworks cs4?What you want to do should be no problem. Just be aware that PP and AE are 64 bit only.

Which version of CS5 Suite is installed on the puter?
Sorry...strange question ....but where does one
get an indication of what version of CS5 Production Suite is installed?
eg Premium or otherwise?
Is it in the About or the Splash Screen..or where? At the risk of stating the obvious, there is only one 'Production' version called Production Premium. The only difference between the Master and Production Premium is the number of programs that you get, so I took the liberty of copying the specs from the sales page:

I wonder why Adobe does not offer upgrades from single products to packages.
I am strictly a hobbiest with Photoshop, I wish i was going to school to get the school versions but the fact is I am not,
I purchased my CS5 extended directly from adobe's web site paying full price. I use it almost daily to basicly play, I make things for people in 3d games, I create thing just for the heck of it, i try to do what other people are having issues doing on forums just to see if i can figure it out but mostly I play around and learn. I learn all kind of tricks and wonderfull effects by the real pros. The fine folks That post on these forums and other websites. All thats nice and all but the fact remains I am just a novice artest.. that plays around for the joy of creativity and nothing more.
Now comes the dilemma, I was thinking about playing around with some of the other products Adobe offers and open up my creativity further. Thinking the master collection would give me access to many many things I have never played with. Now $2600 is a lot of money to throw at something that well is not my job, i don't make any money on and its strictly a hoby for me, But hobbies being what they are cost money too so I was considering it none the less since I already put out 1000 on Photoshop.
The issue is, there is no upgrade path from a single product to a packaged product. So even tho I just paid $1000 for the full version of CS5 extended directly from their website, if I would like to get the master collection, rather then say a $1600 upgrade to master, I would have to pay the full $2600 price for it. They offered a 15%, $390 discount, Thats nice and all but $390 is $600 short of what I paid for the software to begin with and i really don't need 2 copies of photoshop cs 5 extended. I don't think its transferable the original licence, maybe it is .... anyway. Adobe keeps very tight reigns on their licencing its not like they could not upgrade or void the original licence and issue a new one for MC especially for online sales.
Just does not make any sense to me not to offer an upgrade path from individual componants to larger packages. Even Microsoft has package upgrade paths online so they track the licencing...
Anyway
/rant off
Happy New Year everyone! You can get a special price from individual products to a Suite Collection - except for the Master Collection. The Master Collection is an "everything but the squeal" edition, with all the components, both graphic and video production.
If you set your sights a little lower, there are indeed upgrade specials. From Photoshop CS5 Extended the Adobe Store prices for various collections are
$850 Design Standard combines Adobe Photoshop® CS5, Illustrator® CS5, InDesign® CS5, and Acrobat® 9 Pro.
$1100 Production Premium combines Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 (with Adobe OnLocation™ CS5 and Encore® CS5), After Effects CS5, Photoshop® CS5 Extended, Illustrator® CS5, Flash® Catalyst™ CS5, Flash Professional CS5, and Soundbooth® CS5.
$1400 Adobe Creative Suite® 5 Web Premium software combines Dreamweaver CS5, Flash Catalyst CS5, Flash Professional CS5, Flash Builder 4 Standard, Photoshop® CS5 Extended, Illustrator® CS5, Acrobat® 9 Pro, Fireworks® CS5, and Contribute® CS5.
$1500 Adobe Creative Suite® Design Premium software combines Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, Illustrator CS5, InDesign CS5, Flash Catalyst CS5, Flash Professional CS5, Dreamweaver® CS5, Fireworks® CS5, and Acrobat® 9 Pro.
Just for reference, "Master Collection combines Adobe Photoshop® CS5 Extended, Illustrator® CS5, InDesign® CS5, Acrobat® 9 Pro, Flash® Catalyst™ CS5, Flash Professional CS5, Flash Builder™ 4 Standard, Dreamweaver® CS5, Fireworks® CS5, Contribute® CS5, Adobe Premiere® Pro CS5 (with Adobe OnLocation™ CS5 and Encore® CS5), After Effects® CS5, Soundbooth® CS5, and more."
Be aware that if you get a collection, you are locked in to upgrading the entire collection when the time comes, you can't upgrade just one application. I skipped CS3 for that reason (not enough new features in every application), and will likely pass on CS5 (due to the economy).
In my opinion, the best deal is the Production Premium, if you're willing to give up Dreamweaver (and InDesign, but Illustrator can take care of a lot of that). I personally use the Design Premium collection. I started with the "Creative Suite Premium Collection", but Adobe phased that out, but offered an uprgarde path from that to the Design Premium. I actually received that as a gift, and the person who gave it to me always asks, "Do you use that software a lot? It was expensive, you know." -
Optimal setup HDD and Software Settings
I am doing a system reload to setup one of my systems to be
dedicated to video editing and effects. My Hardware is:
MB: P6t Delux V2
OS: Win7 64bit
CPU: I7 920 (Stock no OC)
GPU: Nvidia 285
RAM 12GB @1600
HDD 1: 500GB 7200 RPM
HDD 1: 500GB 7200 RPM
HDD 1: 1TB 7200 RPM
HDD 1: 1TB 7200 RPM
HDD 1:1.5TB External USB for backups only
Software I user Premiere Pro CS5, After Effects CS5, SoundBooth CS5 and Photoshop CS5. My question for software is how to best set it up. I have seen many caching/Scratch setups and various CPU Ram allocations and honestly I am a bit confused by it. Also the render Performance vs Memory seems to make no difference in render times. Is one better to select over the other? I use Dynamic Linking a lot so I am not sure if that makes a difference in anything.
I know all this info can be found in various threads in the forum but I get some conflicting info as I read through them.
One last question. Should a reboot be done prior to exporting? I might spend hours doing effects and cuts and I am concerned the RAM gets a little full so I reboot before I render because it gives me a warm fuzzy, but is it really necessary?
Thanks in advance... TJThanks for the reply.. Can you recommend or direct me to the software settings in Premiere and AE?
***EDIT*** One other thing. Would I get much of a performace boost by upgrading my GPU to a 485 or my CPU to a 950? -
Premiere CS 5.5: Problem mit Qualität von eingefügten Fotos (jpg)
Hallo,

Softwarefehler: .\Vobulator\BlockPlanner\BlockPlanner.cpp.Zeile215
Birgit Vogel wrote in German

Upon release of my project to DVD I wanted to save a 4.7GB folder and then burn DVDs, but it appears again and again the above error message:
Software Error:. \ Vobulator \ block Planner \ BlockPlanner.cpp.Zeile215
the progress bar remains at 28%
I just start and stop markers and set on fire on purpose in the folder, since direct burning has never worked. The video can be used as computer video (mpeg) issue, but since I do not have enough quality because skiing is now times fast ...
Maybe someone has a tip, droughts I would be grateful!

Bezüglich Ihrer burn to folder
Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1
Vielen Dank.

It is very likely that you have placed a Stop Marker at the end of your Timeline or the spacing of your Timeline markers is too close.
Please check out those possibilities.
I had difficult with the Google Translate, so I hope that I have interpreted your message in German correctly.

Soundbooth CS5 5.1 DD-Spur neuabmischen
Hallo,
Daher meine Frage: Was mache ich falsch?
Vielen DANK vorab für eine Antwort.Hi Shawn,
I understand, but at least with stereo files I can add an EQ, compressor, etc. that applies to all (both) channels. Is there not a similar capability for 5.1 files? I don't so much need per-channel editing (I can always split the channels out to separate files in that case), but basic EQ/compression is really what I'm looking for.
Best,

Soundbooth Speicherfehler bei Dynamic Link mit Premiere (CS5.5)
Hallo,

How to view higher frequencies in Soundbooth CS5
I am using a zoom h2 portable recorder and set the settings to 96khz at 24bit. But I load the audio file into Soundbooth CS5 it only shows up 10khz in the Spectral Frequency Display. How do I view above that? I would like to see all the way up to 96,000Hz.
Best place to start is by telling us which camera model the NEF files are from.

From Audacity to Soundbooth CS5 (aka improving speech)
Hello all,
I have been using Audacity for years and I needed to change because of a requirement to output FLV audio with cue points. Soundbooth appears to have this capability.
I have used Audacity to edit speech files and I consistantly applied the following procedures in order to enhance the speech:
1- Sample and apply noise removal
2- Apply Low Pass filter with:Rolloff 6db, q = 0.7, Cutoff = 5500 Hz
3- Apply Bass Boost with: Frequency = 200 Hz, Boost = 8 dB
As I mentioned, I am new to Soundbooth and I would like to know how to do the equivalent in Soundbooth. Additionally, if anyone has other suggestions on improving speech quality (I am aiming for Public Radio quality.. suitable for training audio). I am constrained with actual recording quality so I need to work as much 'magic' as possible in post production.... I have been relatively successful with those Audacity perimeters.
While experimenting with Soundbooth, I think I have found most of the equivalents but please confirm if these are best practices:
1-Noise Removal
Select dead air section of recording, click Processes, select Capture Noise Print
click Processes, select Reduce Noise, Use default settings (Use Captured Noise Print - checked)
2-Low pass and bass boost seem to be handled by EQ:Parametric (advanced)
I am unsure if I like what the Male Voice Enhancer does (it seems to introduce artifacts to the audio)
Any suggestions or comments?
Finally, is there a way to automate these audio enhancements to quickly process the audio and move on the next of many wav files.
Thank youThe following help file specifically states that one can indeed embed cue points within a saved .flv file.

Soundbooth CS5 FLV Cue Point Woes
I have been attempting to use Soundbooth CS5 to insert cuepoints in .flv files (audio track only) to cue up some audio stuff in Flash using the FLVPlayback Class. It seems the implementation of cuepoints/markers in Soundbooth is really buggy and prone to either not working at all or producing unexpected results. Here are some problems I have encountered:
1. Soundbooth regularly does not save the cuepoints (markers) in a way that the Flash Player can detect.
This is easily verifiable - no MetaDataEvents are dispatched on playback (to indicate a cuepoint has been reached) and the 'findNearestCuePoint' method of FLVPlayback returns an Object with a null 'array' property - I have to use this to access the cuepoints when the flv is loaded (for some pre-processing) because, weirdly, Adobe engineers did not think that making the cuepoints accessible for a (fully loaded) .flv was useful - there is a cuepoints property but it is write-only. Yet, I can get an array of them via this method! Bizarre.
Both of these things (MetaDataEvent dispatch & the cuepoints array 'hack') occasionally work so I'm confident it's not my code. In fact, I have some .flv files that work perfectly and some that don't - these have all been created by me in Soundbooth.
At first, saving cue points did not work at all for any file! I struggled with this for two days before resorting to re-installing SB and it magically started (almost) working.
2. Soundbooth sometimes doesn't save changes to the markers.
When SB does feel like saving the cue points (and they are picked up in Flash), subsequent edits appear in the SB interface (eg. deleting a marker) but not in Flash. I have .flvs that I've edited which will report x number of markers but the 'findNearestCuePoint' objects 'array' property returns an array of the length before I made the changes/re-saved the file.
3. Soundbooth sometimes doesn't like re-saving files created in Soundbooth.
I open up the .flv created in Soundbooth itself, edit it and then hit 'Save', this appears:
"The file was saved with unknown compression or with an unsupported destination rate, please choose your destination format and language".
Great. It takes me to 'Save As' so I can select a new name/file-format and I just select the same one it was saved under before (.flv). I have to change the filename too, because SB doesn't like saving over a file that's open in SB, either.
4. Sometimes it all works!
And I have no idea why. I just keep opening the file I need to use re-save it under a different file name, select different export options, re-compile my app and sometimes it works fine - my app doesn't throw any errors (the ones it throws when there are no cuepoints, or the number of cuepoints is not the number it expects).
At first I thought it was the export settings but it isn't - I can select the same ones each time and get different results. Saving the export settings makes no difference, it NEVER works the second time round.
I can provide code/files if needed.I have a solution. Bring the mp3 file that you edited into Premiere. From Premiere, export
media to an flv. From within the export media dialog, import your cue points xml file. It worked on my first try.
The problem is: why does it work from Premiere, but not Media Encoder or Soundbooth?
Adobe, please fix this, it's a very bad bug!
