  • Exchange Rate for planned delivery cost

    Hi
In one PO ( Document type NB with item category std) exchange rate for planned delivery charges ( Condition type FRC1) is calculated considering base date as document date of PO.( Exchange Rate is not fixed) while doing Goods Receipt
In other  PO ( Document type NB with item category L -subcontracting ) exchange rate for planned delivery charges ( Condition type FRB1) is calculated considering base date as posting  date of GR.( Exchange Rate is not fixed)
    Can anyone tell why ?

    Dear Murugan
I wish to  putforth the below check for you to solve the issue.
You told that Intially while creating the PO, your supply vendor and freight vendors are different, please check did you enter the vendor code in the freight item condition details. If yes then you have two invoicing parties for the PO.
Now you also told that, you have carried out MIGO for the PO line item which which has Freight also as an additional condition type.  That means for the PO line item your GR have been completed or partly done. If you have done this then how did you change the freight vendor in PO after GR for the item , system does not allow that as you have already carried out the the GRN.
To avoid all such cases of freight vendor change, the best solution is to change the vendor before GRN itself and assign the right vendor in the item condition of the PO,then proceed forthe GRN.
For your case please cancell the GRN also since you have already cancelled the Invoice.
Assign the right Freignt vendor , then proceed for MIGO. Once done In MIRO go for invoice and select goods/service items from the selection menu and process it for the supply vendor.
Then again you can go for MIRO and select planned delivery cost from the drop down and process it.
The above can be done combined also and in any sequence also , there are no holds upon that.

  • How system calculate Exchange Rate for material?

I have some doubt how system calculate exchange rate for material when doing GR.
For example, standard price of material is 0.01 USD per ea. PO is created in foreign currency (THB) with qty: 40,000 ea (THB 2,852.00)
Actually when I do GR ea then accounting doc is:
Dr. Inventory 400 USD (12,800 THB)
       Cr. GR/IR    88.64- USD (2,852.00- THB)
Cr. Variant 311.36- USD (9,948.00- THB)
for 2nd and 3rd line item, exchange rate M (THB -> USD) is 0.03108 which is correct.
Could anyone advise where system get exchange rate for 1st line item?

    Hi
First of all, as mentioned by you, the exchange rate for Item 2 and 3 is not 0.03108.. It is as below, based on the figures given by you...
Dr. Inventory 400 USD (12,800 THB)........ Exch rate is 0.03125
Cr. GR/IR 88.64- USD (2,852.00- THB)....... Exch rate is 0.03108
Cr. Variant 311.36- USD (9,948.00- THB).... Exch rate is 0.0313
I guess the item 3 is just a derivation from Items 1 and 2.. The Price diff results as a difference between std cost and purchase price...
I believe, the exchange rate would have been 0.03125 at the time of GR... You need to check this in your system... For sure, it uses  exch rate type M in the standard... Check if 0.03125 (USD -> THB) or 32 THB -> USD exists in your system at all
Item 2 is based on your PO negotiated rate...

  • Incorrect currency rate for LC2 Amount

    Experts,
I am experiencing a scenario where the currency rate for LC2 does not correspond to the one assigned in exchange rate table (TCURR) and would need your advise.
The following data is maintained in transaction OB22:
    LC= Company code currency
    Local Currency2 = USD (Group currency - type 30)
Local Currency 3= EUR (Index based currency u2013 type 50)
Exchange rate type for LC, LC2 and LC3 currencies= M
Source currency for LC, LC2 and LC3 currencies = 1 "Translation taking transaction currency as basis"
TrsDte typ for LC, LC2 currency and LC3 = 3 "Translation date"
There is no reference currency involved. Calculation with inverted currency is allowed
Exchange rates are maintained for exchange rate type M and valid until 31.01.2011.
    SEK=> GBP
    USD=> GBP
    EUR =>GBP
Posting date, Document date and Translation date for the posted document are all 28.01.2011.
For LC and LC3 currency conversion is correct i.e. it picks rate for exchange rate type M from TCURR, but for LC2 (Group currency) system chooses a different exchange rate that I cannot derive
I can add that the document is a MIRO posting, but the currency in PO/MIRO is equal to the one for Exchange rate type M in TCURR for SEK=> GBP, which is correct. I have also checked the assignment of currency type to material ledger type and it is set to use currency types from FI and to correspond to the currency types from CO.
Can someone please explain to me how and why SAP has come to calculate an exchange rate for my LC2 amount that differs from what it should be considering settings in OB22 and rates in TCURR?
    All tips are welcome!
    Kind regards,
    Linda

    Srikanth,
Yes, exactly it is the rate upon 28.01.2011that  should be relevant for the actual document.
Exchange rate has not entered manually in document header by interface nor by user. Interface only feed document amount and currency i.e. no rates.
Standard quotation in table TCURN for GBP=>USD is:"1" Direct quotation valid from 01.01.1800
Standard quotation in table TCURN for "Blank"=>GBP is:"2" Indirect quotation valid from 01.01.1800
Translation ratio for currency pair GBP => USD for exch rate type M is 1:1, valid from 01.01.1800,  alt ERT=blank.
Translation ratio for currency pair USD=> GBP for exch rate type M is 1:1, valid from 01.01.1800,  alt ERT=blank.
Translation ratio for currency pair USD=> GBP for exch rate type M is 1:1, valid from 31.10.2010,  alt ERT=blank.
Maintained exchange rate valid for the period 31.12.2010 - 30.01.2011 for exchange rate type M is 1 USD= 0.64114 GBP
    Amounts in document are
    Doc. Curr. Amount= 187.44 GBP
    LC2 Amount= 281.16 USD
Rate used for LC2 Amount in document equals 1 USD = 0.6667 GBP
Correct LC2 Amount with rate 1 USD= 0.64114 GBP should be 292,35 USD.

  • Cannot use Row Exchange Rate in the Draw Document Wizard

    Hi Experts,
I am having problems while trying to post an AP Invoice which is copied from a Goods Receipt PO. I made two transactions in GRPO:
12/28/2011 - I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 45. Doc No.1198
12/29/2011 -  I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 47. Doc No. 1199
While adding the AP Invoice on 12/30/2011,  I have an exchange rate of PHP 46.
When trying to add the AP Invoice, I used Copy From Goods Receipt PO and I higlighted the two doc numbers 1198 and 1199. In the Draw Document Wizard Row Ex. Rate Prices I have selected the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document.  However a system message appears which says Base Document Exchange Rate cannot be used, the rows will be updated using the target document exchange rate.
My presumption is that when I choose the Row exchange rate from base document, SAP will automatically copy the row exchange rate used in the documents so for the transactions in 12/28, the rate of PHP 45 shall be used and same goes for the 12/29 which is PHP 47.
How should I go about this? Am I missing a step here? By the way, I am using SAP B1 8.82 PL01.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best Regards,

    ABM Global Solutions

    Hi Rahul,
You said 'It is not at all concerned with Exchange rate during GRPO...' If that is the case how does the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document in the draw document wizard work? Does this mean 1 GRPO : 1 AP Invoice so I can use the base document rate?
How should I go about with transactions like these? That is adding an AP Invoice from multiple GRPO's having different exchange rates. What I am trying to capture here is that in the AP Invoice, base document rates should be used in the row item level and not the current rate when adding the invoice.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

  • How can I enter "Flate rates for travel costs" with more than 2 decimals?

    Hi expert,
I want to enter flat rates for travel costs in table T706F.
I have a figure with more than 2 decimals (0,066), but I cannot save it, because only 2 decimals are allowed for EUR.
I don't want to change the decimals for this currency.
I found OSS note 446116 which is release independent. It is a note of 30.10.2001.
It suggests to create a new currency e.g. EUR3 and enter translation ratio's and exchange rates.
    This seems pretty drastic.
Do you know if there is another way to handle this issue?
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Linda Verding

    Hello Christian,
I have checked it with consultants from SAP Brussels.
They confirm that OSS note 446116 can be used to create flat rates for travel costs with more than 2 decimals.
I will create a new currency (EUR3) with the description "for travel expenses only".
    Kind regards,
    Linda Verding

  • Exchange Rate Flow - from Billing Document to FI

I have kept posting block in billing type. I release them for FI posting periodically. Hello,
You could do one of the below,
1)Mnaually change the billing date to the date the posting block is removed and posted to accounts, through this the current exchange rate will be determined
    2) use a user exit from below to set that the system always redetrmines the exchage rate when posting to accounts
    user exits are
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_001:
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_002
    Hope this helps

  • Report painter/writer for actual cost component split

    Hello Gurus,
Any of you guys ever explored possibility of creating a report using report painter or writer that can give both Standard and Actual cost component splits in one report? Is it even possible without custom ABAP involvement?
    Thanks
    RG

    Hi Raghu,
After your reply, I am getting a doubt..
Have you Activated Material Ledger? When you say Actual Cost Component Split, are you talking about it what you get in Actual Costing/Material Ledger?
If yes, then you can map your cost compnents for Actual Costing in the path SPROControllingProfitability AnalysisMaster Data Valuation--Setup Valuation using Material Cost Estimate -- Define Access to Actual Costing / Material Ledger
Further, there are no standard reports available in COPA. Try to build a report comprising two columns, 1st column with the value fields which are mapped for Standard Cost Components and 2nd column with the Value Fields which you have assined for Actual Costing under the above path.
You will be able to get the comparison...
Pls don't hesitate to call me for further assistance....

  • Exchange rate for FI postings in Billing

    Dear Experts,
Can Exchange rate for FI postings in Billing be determinated by the Pricing date instead of the billing date when we create it?
    Br
    Sophie

    Hi Sophie,
When you create a sales order, the exchange rate is determined only based on the pricing date and not based on the billing date. This is the standard SAP behaviour. You can enable different dates for these and maintain different exchange rates in OB08 to confirm this.
When you create an invoice for such a sales order, two cases can work
If there is no redetermination of pricing, then the exchange rate from SO will just be copied to invoice. The exchange rate will be redetermined only either if there is new pricing or when there is redetermination of exchange rate. Even in this case, the exchange rate is determined only based on the pricing date, not based on billing date. You can confirm this if you maintain two different dates and maintain different exchange rates for these dates.
So what you are asking is already there in system. You only have to reorganise your master data and configuration accordingly for the functionality to take effect.

  • Foreign Exchange rate for INR to EURO

    Hello,
I want to maintain Exchange rate for INR to EURO.
What exchange rate type "m", "EURX" or "EURX" is relevant for the conversion of INR to EURO.
How to maintain direct & indirect rate for the same ? I understand that system is not accepting rates maintained in "Direct Quote" coloumn.
    Thanks & Rgds
    Dwijendra

    Dear Venkatesh,
For exchange rate from INR to EURO, system will not take rates maintained under exchange rate type "m". It only considers exchange rate type "EURX".
    Hope I am clear.

  • Incorrect Exchange Rate Differences Generated

    Hi All,
    My client's version is 8.8 SP0 PL21.
I run the Exchange Rate for GL Account (eg Bank Account) to revalue it at month end.
    The local currency = USD.
The EUR Bank Account Balance is USD 1900.00  with EUR 1400.00 (as example). It is a Debit Balance in the GL.
The Exchange Rate Differences generated shows me USD -1900.00 and EUR -1400, Rate @ 0.70 = USD -100
    It should show me USD 1900 --> EUR 1400 --> @ 0.70 --> USD 100.
Can anyone advice? Why the account balance is not display as per account balance with positive balance instead of a negative balance?
    Regards
    Jessie

    Hi Jitin,
The "Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign" is ticked. So, only Credit Balance will display with negative.
I have checked the Demo Company, it is also showing the same display. The Customer's positive balance is displayed as negative value in Exchange Rate Differences.
I think this is a bug. I have checked the setup of the "Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign" is the same as my cusotmer's database setup.
Seems that no one has reported this issue. I will log a Message with SAP.
    Any further advice.
    Regards
    Jessie
