Info-objects of an Info-provider under one Transport request

Hi All,
I am in the process of transporting the Objects from development to QA environment,
As a first step in the transport process, i need to transport the info-objects before transporting other info-providers, transformations etc,
i have several info-providers like BBP_PO, SC, SCA etc, which inturn has more than 100 info-objects that needs to be put under seperate transports.
Say i have info-provider ZBBP_SCA which has 50 info-objects, i need to put those 50 Info-objects in one transport request and then info-provider ZBBP_SCA in another transport request and then its transformations etc.
Can anyone tell me the steps of only collecting the necessary info-objects of ZBBP_SCA alone to be put under one transport.
I tried to do that, but it is collecting all the info-objects, info-areas related to ZBBP_SCA, instead of collecting only necessary objects of ZBBP_SCA.

Hi pooja,
So your intention is not to include anything other than target in second request.
For this right click over the object from where you dont intend to transport and say donot transport any below in transport connection.
The reason for target also showing the info objects and so on is that they are all necessary to form this cube definition.
Anhyhow, as you have ensured to collect them seperately go ahead with the approach mentioned above.

Does one custom table more or less really matter? If you really want delete it, delete the table in DEV which will put it into a new transport and get that transport moved to TEST.

How to delete Graphics Image under any Transport Request?

Hi Guru's,
I want to delete the Graphics Image under one Transport Request.
but when i try to delete it from SE78, it is deleting with out asking any new Transport Request.
Can anybody give me some inputs.

if i am opening that TR number in SE09....i can't see any new attributes..
what ever previous parameters are there only those are available..

Two info provider in one query

Hi ALL,
i am currently looking at two info providers from where data needs to be pulled, but i am not able to get two info providers in one report while using the query designer.
is this a restriction. can i have more than one info provider in one report?
what would be the procedure to get two inf providers in one report

Hi,
You can create a report through query designer only on single InfoProvider(either Multiprovider, InfoCube, InfoSet, DSO,Master Data Object).
If you need to get data from more than 1 info provider you have create a Multiprovider which will include the relevant info providers, and then create report on that Multiprovider.

Allform outputs under one spool request?

hai,
iam executing the smart form for 10 customers(for sales orders).
how can i get all these 10 outputs under one spool request?
and if i execute the smart form ,i should not get the PRINT dailog screen.Directly , it should go to spool....how?

When calling your smartform FM, pass value 'X' for parameter user_settings as below.
CALL FUNCTION lf_fm_name
           EXPORTING
                      archive_index        = toa_dara
                      archive_parameters   = arc_params
                      control_parameters   = ls_control_param
                      mail_recipient       = ls_recipient
                      mail_sender          = ls_sender
                      output_options       = ls_composer_param
                      user_settings        = 'X'
This means standard user setting is used instead of asking for print parameter through PRINT dailog screen.

Two tasks under one change request

hi all,
when two tasks will be created under one change request, when using same user id.
is there any harm having different tasks under one change request?
is it better to have different change request for different tasks...

There is no problem to use like taht.
you can create any number of tasks of diffrent users or same user under same Transport Request.
it won't create any problem also.
you need to transport those tasks with that Transport request.
individuval taska won't be transported.

All the table objects in one transport request..?

Hi Friends,
I do have more than 10 tables and each table is having more than 30 fields.
All these Tables, Data elements and Domains are created by me.... means name start with 'Z'.
My task is i need to save all these objects in one transport request number.
How can I do that...?
All the eariler transports are released to higher system....
As of my knowledge, going to each table & data element and domain... changing some text and then it will ask for new requestr and saving....
Can i do that in a single step for table and its fields (DEs Domains).

Hello Naveen,
In SE03 transaction ,execute the merge object list. ( if u are not authorized to SE03. Goto SE10 transaction and click the transport organizer tool in the tool bar (shift+F6))
Input all the transport request you want to merge and select the release check button ( as you says that your transport requests are already released ). and the execute and click the merger button in the top left corner. it will be asking new transport request. Create a new workbench request. finally you will be getting the popup message. select any option as ur convenient ( either online or background). then all the development you have done in different transport request will merge into one TR.

Change object from one transport request to another

Hi,
I have a requirement wherein i need to change the object from one transport request to another. The thing is that i have saved
one in one transport request and when i am trying to transport it , it is not allowing me to transport as this transport request
contains some inactive object. I have also tried to delete that object from this transport request and put in another one
but when i tried to do that i was only allowing me to create sub task within the same request .

Hi,
you can either just delete the object from the object item list of the first transport request (just click away all warnings and hints). Then put it into a new request, lock it and transport it. You might ned to overtake the responsibility for the first request but with the appropriate authorization this should be no issue.
Other solution is using a transport of copies. This will tell you the object is locked in another request when you release it but still allow to transport it.
In all solutions you have to be sure that transporting the object without all other stuff in the request is possible as the objects are independent from each other. Otherwise you will not be able to import the request in the destination system.

When I am changing the code I selected the wrong the transport request number. I want to move my objects into another transport request number in the same DEV and same client number. Could you please help to move these objects between the transport request numbers.

Hi Chinna,
If you need to change a transport request number, you can use TCODE SE80
Click on Repository Browser tab
Then Select the Object(s) you want to change the Transport Request number
Right Click > Other Functions > Write Transport Entry
After that you will need to specify other existing Transport Request number OR create a new transport request number (F8).

Porblem while transfering objet from one transport request to another

Hello all,
My goal was to change objets from a task TA(source) into a transport request RA to the task TB(destintaion) into the transport request RB.
I used SE10 function on transport request RB(destination) and used function "Include objects" (Ctrl+F11) and then provided the source transport request (RA).
Te result is :
- source transport request RA remain unchanged
- in destination transport request RB a line as been added :
comment : object list included : and the name of source request RA, it look like a reference
Expected result was :
- objet are no more in source request RA
- the are assigned to destination request RB
What point did I miss ?
What can I do from this point to obtain expected result ?

I found an easy way to delete the reference line :
in SE01, display TR that contain reference line, double click to get the objects list, switch to change mode and use delete row function.
So at this point, my question is :
what is the appropriate way to change object from a transport task to another ?

Objects not changed after successful release of transport requests

Hi All,
We added two free characteristics to a query and collected that query in a transport request in development.The request is released and imported successfully in quality.The problem we are facing now is that the two characteristics are not reflected in the query.But the hexadecimal numbers for the two characteristics are captured under the released transport request in Quality.
Could someone please help me out in solving this issue.............

Thanks for the prompt reply.We have collected it through transport connection only.As I have mentioned in the thread import is successful ,hexadecimal number is present under the transport request but the changes are not present in the query.Could it be the problem with importing?...................

How to move an object from one Transport Request to another TR

Go to SE10 select the Request and press Include Objects button( a box with a arrow above it) and select freely selected objects and add your object to the request. Before doing this you may be required to delete the object entry from the source request.

One Transport request objects copy into new transport request

You can
(1) add object lists of already released requests ("old" requests) to you current request (still changeable)
(2) merge changeable transport requests together
(3) split a changeable request into several requests
Whereas (1) and (2) are supported by standard functions of the SAP system (3) is a manual task involving the following steps:
a.) Create a new request
b.) Copy required transport entries (e.g. R3TR TABL ZMYTABLE) from one request to the new request
c.) Delete all copied transport entries from the object list of the "first" request
However, if you are not fully aware of the dependencies between different transport object entries the splitting of object lists may cause hassle when you import the splitted requests into the next SAP system.

Am Having one query that i have been done some changes in the report and saved on one transport reuest number,but one function module which i have beeen used in the program saved in diffrent request and it contains some other objects,now i can i individually move the FM to other transport request number,Give me some ideas.

If the requests are not yet released then you can delete the object from the TR manually and then add it to the other TR manually or tag by doing a minor change.For ex
TR 1 Objects list
REPORT ZXYZ
TR 2 Objects list
REPORT ZABC
FM ZZASDEF
1.If both the TRs are not released then remove the FM from the TR 2 manually and add it manually in TR 1,provided you know how to add the objects manually.
or
2.If both the TRs are not released then remove the FM from the TR 2 manually.Go to the corresponding objects of the FM do a minor change,save,activate.Now it will ask for a TR,at this time choose OWN REQUEST and select TR1.
