Initial observations after 2 days
I am pretty experienced in Flash but wanted to start at the beginning regarding learning Flex/FB4. I think the tutorials and examples are well done. Two things prompted me to comment now:
Every so often, somewhere in the middle, the video resets to the beginning of the file, and then I have to reload it to the point I left off. I thought it was due to me clicking on the video or something, but this has occurred even when I don't touch the player.
I would kill to have a 2x or 3x speed control on the player, to let me fast forward through parts that I feel I can skip.
Thank you for producing this great resource (as wel as Tour de Flex, a wonderful asset).

It's not the dust under the screen, i've put a fullscreen black image on there and there seems to be a few dead ones.
The dust is another problem, but hey, i have a 6120c now!

First feedback after 1 day with BPM11gR1
This is my feedback after one day of work with the BPM11gR1 (installation from scratch, no reuse of beta2 environments):
The goal of the first test was short:
-> Making a small process in BPM Composer with 1 initiator task and 1 human task to validate without gateway, with the default role.
-> Publish it in MDS repository
-> Import it in JDeveloper and add 2 string data object ("name" and "lastOutcome")
-> auto-generate human task
-> deploy the process and screens (and mapping role and users)
-> make one execution from start to end (only 2 steps) without any error.
My observations during this quick test:
- The "call" activities are activated in BPM Composer but not in JDeveloper
- The name of activities and all graphical elements are not transfer from BPM Composer to JDeveloper (and from JDeveloper to BPM Composer)
- During the auto-generation of the second human task, JDeveloper has frozen and needed to be killed by the Windows task manager. The project folder had to be cleaned manually.
- The import from MDS in JDeveloper generate a double project windows folder (like
..\myWork\<myApplicationName>\<myProjectName>\<myProjectName>\...)
- On first deployment (process + the 2 screens), JDeveloper ask to restart the server to finish the deployment of the 2 screens.
- After writing the mail to ask the restart and doing 1 short work, I came back to JDeveloper and it was another time frozen (taking 30%-40% of CPU). I did not killed it immediately to see if it is just temporary frozen. I had waiting a meeting delay (more than 1 hour) without any modification on Jdeveloper => Another Windows kill.
- After the reboot of the server, the initiator task works. I had the screen auto generated and I was able to submit the first step. But the second screen (just to approve or refuse) didn't work. I got an internal server error 500 (null pointer exception).
- I had made several deployments of the 2 screens (the 2 screens are in the same .ear file and always deployed in same time). Sometimes the second screen worked but not the first, another time it was the first but not the second or both didn't work. I had never managed to have both screens working in the same time if I deploy them in the same deployment. To have both working screen, I needed to deploy them separately.
- If we deploy the process and screens with the option "Append composite revision to name": the first time we got on ear profile name
"BC-UI-BPMComposer_rev_c1v1.0", the second time "BC-UI-BPMComposer_rev_c1v1.0_rev_c1v1.0", etc...
- I got another time the JDeveloper freeze. It's seems to append when I do nothing with it during a "long" delay.
During this test a colleague had tried to design our prototype process (one main process with 2 possible starts (a human or a web service) with 4 sub-processes linked with service activities). He got same errors but also others:
- One unwanted log-off during the design of BPM Composer
- JDeveloper crash during Auto-generation of ADF Screens.
- In the beginning, he had save the project on a network drive but JDeveloper was too slow. So he made a "make clean" and copy the project folder to a local hard drive. On the first deployment, JDeveloper had an error because it couldn't create the file: ..\myWork\<myApplicationName>\<myProjectName>\<myProjectName>\classes\scac_out.xml. He had to create manually the folder "classes" and after JDeveloper can start the deployment.
- After the deployment, he had mapped all roles to users. But he couldn't manage to have the link in the application panel to start manually the process with the initiator task. He tested also by removing the web service start (and having just one human start).
- He tried to create a small process, with just one initiator task reusing the initiator human task of the previous process but he got null pointer exception on delpoyment (even he put data object in process with mapping, added other human task)...Hi Heidi,
The current used version was downloaded on OTN the 28th of April. SOA and BPM extension were imported by "check for update...".

My computer is completely frozen, after two days of installing yosemite
Two days ago I did the Yosemite update. I did the vault security encryption because it was suggested. After it, the login was taking longer than before, but the laptop was working fine. Then I shut down the computer from the initial page after it was asleep, and then I took it with me. When I turned it back on, all normal, the pages I was reading were there, and after a couple of hours of using it, it began to freeze, doing nothing but the horrible rainbow circle. I had to force quite. It restarted normally, but once I opened an application it just stayed loading there. Again forced shut. The same thing. The following time it just didn't even go into the desktop, just a blury background and the horrible rainbow. Nothing else happened. Sounds like Yosemite just screwed my computer, and now I have to wait until Monday for a technician. Does someone have a clue of what could've happened?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Task process terminates after 1 day
Hello,
I am trying to find out why a listening process associated with a task is terminating after one day. The listening process is defined by a JPD that initially creates the task and then waits for an event from the task. If the task is created and nothing is done with it for one day, then the associated process that is waiting on the task terminates. I've looked for a server setting that may be controlling this, but cannot find one. Does anyone know what may be causing this process to terminate?
ThanksThe resolution to this problem is the one found in Solution ID S-20589. We set "max-age" to 0 and it fixed the problem. It was interesting to note that this appears to happen only on production mode servers as this problem did not occur when running in development mode with the same code.

How to get a refund for app store purchases after 90 days
Is it possible to recieve a refund for App store purchases after 90 days have passed. In my case I purchased several apps by the same developer which cost around £10 in total, but due to a recent update they are now unusable and lead to frustration as they are impossible to use. The initial purchase was longer than 90 days ago, however the most recent update that has lead to the faulty item was probably within the last 90 days.

Cisco WCS guest user expires after few days
1) Hardware we are using:
WCS version 6.0.196.
WLC version 6.0
2) Configuration steps we carried out:
We have created guest user using Lobby admin account having for accessing WLC which we are having in network. it works fine for some days but after that we have observed the particular guest user account status showing expired on WCS. Wanted to mention we have used Unlimited tab for life time while creating guest user account. The Account life time for guest user at the point of configuration was showing ( status -- Active, Account Lifetime -- Never Expire)

Symptom:
WCS deletes the Guest User Template when trying to de-provision it from a controller. Instead of deleting the guest user from the selected controllers, the user is removed from all controllers and the template deleted from WCS.

The reason I brought a Macbook was for the battery. But after 2 days, I don't like what I see on Coconut battery:
Current capacity: 5566
Design capacity: 5770
It's falling about 20 every hour, why is this happening? Do I have a faulty battery?
My Macbook does not charge up to 100% battery eithe, it will only go to 99%.

this is my 3rd battery in 4 years. i had changed my 1st battery after i had found out it was already deformed. i was constantly keeping it plugged in. almost 24/7. i only unplug it whenever i want to go out and bring the laptop. i thought i had learnt my lesson after i purchased and installed the 2nd battery. initially i was doing the calibration process 3 times a month. the battery was doing fine. then i got lazy. i stopped the calibrating after a year and soon enough i noticed a small bump forming on the battery. fyi the 2nd battery was bought in mid april 2009. i started calibrating again but just on and off doing it. and not until last month i had realized it indicated 'Service Battery' and then i panicked. but i referred to here and it mentioned about leaving the battery until you need to change or service it and it will not harm your computer. but i do notice that the laptop started to get a bit hang-y and slow. as soon as i installed a new battery, i noticed how faster than it was before. and i vowed never to leave it plugged 24/7.
and now i have set a schedule every night that it will go to sleep at a certain time and wake up at least 6 hours after that, provided that i unplug it and drain the battery until it was around 60%. if not (meaning its plugged, charged to 100% and it turned off to sleep) i usually wake it up, unplug it, use it on battery until it drains to 60% and then let it sleep or shut it off. when it wakes up, i plug it and charge it fully.
i hope that way, my battery lasts longer. my brother bought his macbook around the same time as i did (which was in 2007) and his battery is still good. -
I have i phone 4s i there is problem of wifi my wifi is not working when i go to the wifi there is no working on off when i update it as a 6.1 ios on that time again it was good but after 2 days again the same problem i am too tired and i also reset network setting but nothing gonna be worked
Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement. -

On my Exchange 2013 ECP, I went to Servers->Databases, then double click to open one of the databases listed, I then clicked Limits, under "Keep
deleted items for (days):", I set it to 30 days. But the deleted items in Outlook or OWA did not get purged automatically even it's over 30 days.
Is there anything I missed? Thanks much in advance!

I am giving you this procedure without details but I suggest you read the white paper. Message Retention Management is a topic that impacts greatly on the business.
Retention policies are an enterprise license feature.
In the EAC, under compliance management -> retention tags:
1 - Create a retention tag that delete Trash message after 30 days (similar to "30 Days Delete" but applies to Default Folder Trash);
2 - Create a retention tag that delete Inbox message after 2 years;
In the EAC, under compliance management -> retention policies:
3 - Create a new Retention Polcy including the two Tags just created;
Apply the newly created retention policy to the Mailbox (recipients -> mailboxes -> mailbox properties -> Mailbox Features -> retention Policy).

I ordered the full creative cloud on sunday and received an order number but still can't open any of the programs. When i check the status of my order online, it says it can't find it. Is this normal after 3 days? I tried asking in a chat window instead of the forum but no one answered and after about ten minutes my screen restarted and closed the chat window down. It seems a little frustrating not knowing what happened to my order and not being able to contact anyone. Is all this usual with Adobe or are they just having technical problems this week?

My iphone 4 does not register calls made to it. if i make a call from another phone, i can hear it ringing, but it does not register on the iphone. also, i do not get any messages when this happens. then after a day or two it decides to start working.
Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem clean charging port again with toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.

Restart the restore procedure and make sure you are connected to the wall power adapter and have Internet connection.
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
At the end it will ask whether you want to restore, choose iCloud backup. -
I created one apple I'd when I started using the iPad. After some days, I had to create a new apple id
as there was some problem with the first one. Now at some places still my old apple Id is appearing. Pls adv how I change this to my new apple Id.Anything you downloaded with the first Apple Id will forever be tied to it, and will always require it to update.
The question here is, why did you think you needed to create a new Apple ID? What was the problem with the first one?
To get rid of th old one, you'll need to delete everything you downloaded with it, and then sign out of the ID in several places around the iPad.
Go to Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID->Sign out.
Repeat the process, for Facetime, Messages, Mail and any other App you need to sign out of. -
I opened iPhoto today and found I had NO PHOTOS in the library. After a day of reading, I seem to have found them. However, panic does not begin to describe my emotions. They continued to come up on the screen saver, so I knew they were in the computer somewhere. What I don't understand is what happened?? I am now busy backing them up into my external hard drive, again, but just now including the ones from about August 2011 to now. I don't back up often enough, but thank gosh I haven't lost them all. My question is this: What is the best way to get them back into iPhoto? I have an old version of iPhoto and I was prompted to update to '08, which I thought I had and BOOM - all the photos were gone when I said "no". I have lost all my albums and wonder what it will look like if I put them back in? They were found in the iPhoto Data folder. I looked it up in iPhoto Help.
They were found in the iPhoto Data folder.
These are not your Photos. They are just the thumbnails that show in the iPhoto Window. They are tiny and not useful for anything. Look for your photos in the Originals Folder.
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'. Are any Libraries listed? -
