Integrating Lync "What's happening today?" to SharePoint List

I'm trying to integrate the Lync's "What's happening today?" content to SharePoint list field, is there any way to implement this requirement.

Hi,
We can create a timer job. Use the Lync client SDK to get the "What's happening today?" content, then use SharePoint Server Object Model or .Net Client Object Model to add the content into the List field.

My "What's happening today?" status keeps changing to something I set it to two weeks ago.

At work we use Microsoft Lync 2013. I have used the "What's happening today" status line in the Lync client so people can keep updated on things from me when I am away from desk. Two weeks ago I was busy moving IT equipment into another
building, so I had in my status bar a little blurb about equipment moves.
Now off an on for the last two weeks, my "What's happening today" keeps reverting back to that blurb about equipment moves. I'll change it by either blanking it out, putting in a different status like "Spring is here finally!" and
guess what? In due time it reverts back to the old status from 2 weeks ago.
I rebooted my PC and still it seems to be an issue. I am not sure if other people see this status when it reverts back or not, but next time I will log in with a test account from my laptop and see how I appear in the contact list.

"What's happening today" switches to the old status

Hello,
I have a client with new Lync 2013 deployment. They are telling me that for the most users "what's happening today" status switches back to something they entered a few weeks ago.
Any ideas?

Would you please tell us the Lync Server environment?
Please double check if the Lync user information update to the latest.
On Lync Server side, run Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus to check the replication status for all Lync server computers. And run
Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus –CentralManagementStoreStatus to check the replication status for the CMS.
If CMS replication not update to the latest, you can run Invoke-CsManagementStoreReplication on FE server to force Lync server replication services to send complete configuration data to the specified computers.
On Lync client side, please delete user profile with the following path:
%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync

Setting the What's happening today field

I'd like to know how I can set the "What's happening today" field in lync for my users ? Maybe a powershell script could do the trick ?

Correct, this is not possible at the server level. You'd need something run at the client level to accomplish this for users who are actively logged on.
Stale wrote a nice little script that sets that field with PowerShell (that needs to be run on the user's PC), it's not exactly what you're looking for but might be a nice exercise. http://msunified.net/2013/11/14/control-your-lync-presence-during-a-pomodoro-sprint-using-powershell/

What is happening to my contact list?

last night i turn off my iphone and turn it back on and under the app named phone now my contact list is gone and my favorites are only numbers and on and same for the app named contacts and on the app named find friends now all my contacts are listed by their emails
this has happened twice now

Thanks for the question. Let’s check to make sure your Contacts are syncing with a cloud service like iCloud. If Contact syncing was accidentally disabled, the symptoms you are experiencing may occur.

What is happening to the 'Username list'?

Perhaps it is because the Email system is still in transition, but it appears that the very useful 'Username list' is not going to be available.
As I have a number of secondary accounts having such a list is a timesaver; if the new BT version fails to match that it will mean having to enter each of those email addresses individually.
Not a major issue but certainly a major inconvenience.
Is it possible that this feature will appear in some form eventually?

As for your desktop picture, the preferences may be corrupted.
Go to ~/Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trrash.
Restart your Mac.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.

I talked with a tech today and he said I cloud is having problems which should be resolved shortly.
In the mean time I used the .me smtp server settings which allowed me to send mail.

Opening and fetching cursor.. what accually happens?

So, if we have an explicit cursor... we open it with open c_cursor_name... and fetches it into some variable...
my question is - what really happens when we open cursor?
does oracle make only instance of cursor object in memory? or... does it reads some basic data about rows that are going to be fetched (rowid's?)..? or what?
also, if we make some insert into a table that is going to be rolled over by cursor (while cursor is fetching..), should cursor read this new data? for example, what is difference if cursor roll over an indexed ID and we make an insert with an ID=10, and cursor is currently on ID=100? or opposite? (commit included in insert)...

Not really. The same SQL cursor in the shared pool applies.
The difference is on the client side. Each of the methods you've listed is essentially using a different method on the client side to interact with the cursor on the server.
Some methods are more desirable in some cases than another - there's not a single superior method. Each has pros and cons and addresses a specific set of client coding requirements.
There are some preferred methods though on the client. The three primary ones are:
a) use bind variables (enables one to re-use the same SQL cursor)
b) re-use the same client cursor handle for tight loop operations
c) use bulk binding
The first one is kind of obvious - as bind variables creates a cursor "program" that can be called/executed with different values. Like an INSERT cursor for example. The same SQL cursor can be used to insert a million rows, with each execution using different variable values to insert.
The second one is not that applicable to the PL language in PL/SQL - thanks to the integration between the PL and SQL languages. In other client languages though, you want to re-use not only the same server cursor, but the same client cursor handle. As this saves you a soft parse. So instead of this approach:

CloseCursor( c );This approach re-uses the client handle - which means a single db parse was needed. The prior approach required a brand new parse for each loop iteration. (even soft parsing is an overhead that should be avoided where possible)
The last primary factor is bulk processing. This is fairly well documented for the PL language - the important bit to remember that bulk processing is only intended to pass more data with a single call between the PL and SQL engines. Nothing more. The price of which is a bigger PGA memory footprint. Thus there is a balance between how much data (rows/variables) one should pass between the two versus the amount of memory that consumes.
