Integration of Adobe forms in Enterprise Portal

<i>Manager Self Service:</i>
Say suppose i want to integrate "Change Personnel Area and Sub Area" into Portal:
I can deploy the MSS Business Package in Portal & with the appropriate iviews installed i can access "Change Personnel Area and Sub Area" in Portal.
The above thing works without any issues.
I have ads configured, acf & adobe lifecycle designer installed -- config tests are successfull for some sample webdynpro applications.
<i>
NEW Requirement:</i>
Users want to see the same "Change Personnel Area and Sub Area (ISR_FORM_SPPA, ISR_IF_SPPA) " in Portal as adobe interactive forms.
Can you tell me where i have to start to accomplish the above task?
Any insight on the below stuff would be higly appreciated and rewarded.
1)?backend tcode sfp?
2)?web dynpro java?
3)?business package Enterprise Portals?
Thanks in Advance,
RK.

you can edit anything you like to .
If you want to modify any ESS / MSS Application, you need to have the source code of these XSS DC's as well in your Design Time, else it will give you build errors.
For this you need to have a JDI setup since the MSS and XSS are provided in two different tracks of DTR.
As far as I know because of the used dependency of ESS/MSS Applications, using JDI is the best (and only) option to modify the ESS/MSS WebDynpro Applications.
And then implementing the JDI, helps in version management .The only way to unpack ESS/MSS / PCUI_GP components properly for development is through NWDI. So NWDI is mandatory.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b0/ee3441d95dd92be10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Since you are interested in adding the adobe forms you need to have adobe server setup and then you can modify the existing webdynpro application to point to adobe forms.
In SDN tutorials tehre is a link for adobe applications, which you can try on your own. This has been asked many times in the forums and you will get the details with a simple search.
Hope this helps!

  • Integrating Offline adobe form in Portal

    Hi All,
I created offline adobe form using SFP tcode.
This form needs to be integrated in Portal. When user logs in, he/she should be able to open this form.
Can offline adobe form can be integrate to portal directly? or do we need to create the Webdynpro applications only for poral?
Please let me know whether we can integarate offline adobe form to portal directly. If not why?.. I don't know about portal.
    Thank you!

    Hi Deepika,
This discussion thread is all about integrating a WebDynpro application which contains adobe form into portal.
I assume your requirement is different which needs to upload an offline adobe form into portal.
There are documents available to explain this functionality in detail. Please note down the following.
    1) For uploading adobe form should be XML schema based.
    2) There should be a webdynpro application with uploader UI element which has been integrated into the portal.
    3) On form upload, you will get all the data associated with the form within webdynpro

  • Offline Integration of Adobe Forms with CRM System using Web Service

    Hi Experts,
I have a business requirement in which the end user us given an Application Form.
The user can save the form locally and fill the data.
Now the requirement is that when the end user clicks on Submit Button on the form, a web service is called and the entire data in the form is sent to CRM System.
I want to know is it possible to capture the entire data filled in the form in a web service???
Also the other major requirement is that i need to send the application form also to the CRM system.
I need to store the form as attachement for a Business Partner Record.
Is it possible to capture the data in the adobe form and still attach the form as attachement in an Offline Scenario????
Is it possible that a Web Service can be called on click of button in the form and still be able to attach the form itself as attachment???

  • Integrating Dynamic Adobe Form with BSP: SAP Objectives setting &Appraisal

    Hi all,
My users ask me whether wecan use Adobe Form to replace SAP standard BSP appraisal form (generated by HAP_DOCUMENT).
I konw that it's possible to integrate Adobe Interactive form with BSP.
But my Adobe form must contain dynamic table, with ability to insert/delete row on the form. This is just like what's there when you can adding objectives by client scripting in SAP OSA.
Please tell me if the integration of dynamic Adobe form with BSP is possible?
(We are on ECC 6, EPH2).
    Thank you so much.

Did you try to develop a demo version of the form to try if it is possible to do what you need to?
Do you plan to replace "only" the standard non-Adobe form or to develop a whole custom application?
PRovide more details about the steps you´ve tried and we can solve this out. Regards, Otto

  • Error after Integrating of Xcelsius SWF into Enterprise Portal

    Hi all,
I integrated Xcelsius SWF file into portal using Business Objects Integration Kit - iView Template. I can see dashboard in Portal. Its working fine. I have Refresh Button in the Dashboard.  If I refresh the dashboard , it shows cannot access External Data. Failed to get the document information(LO26315).
How can I resolve? Help me in this regard.
I am using BOE 3.1 and LO 3.1.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hemalatha J

With a Live Office connection, you would typically use the URL iView and the opendocument URL to integrate the dashboard into the Enterprise Portal. There are existing posts on this forum about opendocument and Xcelsius dashboards.
Obviously you need to make sure the dashboard refreshes fine outside of the portal, for instance from Infoview.
Then, you need to look at the cross domain constraints : have both Infoview and Enterprise Portal in the same domain or use crossdomain.xml. They are lots of posts on this forum about that too.

  • Execute  HCM Process and Forms on Enterprise Portal ?

    Hi Experts,
I have done a scenario on Employee Relocation Process with the reference of the  tutorial specified in help.sap.com. [Here's the link|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/fe/1bd54243063658e10000000a155106/frameset.htm] in HCM Processes and Forms
The following are steps  which i have done so far ....! relevant to that tutorial .
    1) Created ISR Scenario
    2) Created Form Scenario
    3) Created Linkage between ISR and Form Scenarios.
    4) Checked the consistency of the Linked ISR and Form Scenarios. Everything was fine ...
I have designed the form layout with relevant form fields that are required for the relocation process (HCM Forms)  and created a workflow template with all the required steps specified in the tutorial .
Now my questions are as follow's:
    1) how to test the HCM process ?
    2) In which environments can I test the process ?. Can I test HCM process in Enterprise Portal if yes how  ....?
    3) In what way thus MSS and ESS are connected to HCM Process and Forms.
I am confused about this, can you experts please explain in details ...!

Looks like a program error to me.
Running a system on SAP_ALL to make it work cannot be a solution, so do an ST01 trace to find out which authorization exactly is missing and what is checked before the dump, and consider adding it if appropriate.

    Hi,
is it possible to connect/integrate an oracle datawarehouse to the enterprise portal? Has someone made this or has a reference of a client/company which made this integration?
    Thanks,
    Best regards,

    Hello again,
Yes its very much possible. You will have to create a RFC / BAPI what ever you call it. And import it into  WD Java project.

  • Adobe Forms Integration with portal

    HI,
We have some Adobe forms created under SE80.
Now i need to show that forms in Enterprise Portal.
SO i have created an Iview Template and selected sap webdynapro iview --> webdynapro for abap iview and
then proided the System, Name space and Appln name of that form.
When i preview it i can see the respective form. But when i update something in the form it is not getting updated.
    Regards,
    Raju

    Raju,
I assume you have developed ActiveX enabled Adobe forms wherein whenever the user opens up the Adobe Form, and Adobe dll is downloaded on user's machine. Again there is a catch here, the user needs to have Admin rights on his/her machine so that dll downloads correctly.
If the user does not have Admin rights then the installation of DLL fails and hence you may be seeing the read cross mark.
I would suggest change the displayType to native in Adobe Form properties and also make sure to select the elements from respective library in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. For Eg: If form is native and you want a value help then select Value help from Web Dynpro Native Library Palette in Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

  • Using the Adobe Forms for printing through portal

    Hi All,
I've got a problem with the fact that I do not know exactly how to use the Adobe Forms from the portal.
I've got the Form Objects done (Interface & Form using SE80) and they work OK when testing the form. The Interface gathers all the datas etc. and the form displays this correctly.
My problem now is that I need to have this form available from the portal, and this I presume needs some WebDynPro stuff or something else? I'm totally lost on this part ...
The customer wants to have a button or link in the portal that opens a new window with the produced PDF opened in the new window, much like opening a static PDF file. The user then has the option to print the PDF him/herself using Adobe Readers own print mechanism.
My interface has only one Import parameter (PERNR number) and one EXPORT parameter (default). The PERNR number must be supplied to the interface so that it can gather all the needed data based on this number.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated and rewarded accordingly.
    Thankyou in advance,
    Kim

    Hi Arnab,
from a forms point of view:
(I assume you have the ADS up and running on the Java stack. Without it, the form generation doesn't work.)
If you create your form in transaction SFP and execute the corresponding program that calls the form for testing in SE38, you get to the print dialogue. Here you may choose either locl or lp01 (or any other printer accessible through your network) and then select Print Preview. This should then display the PDF in SAP GUI.
If you are asking about general printer setup within SAP, check the corresponding documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/d9/4a8eb751ea11d189570000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
    Hope this helps,
    Markus
