Invalid log in credentials

I have Oracle 11g Express on my laptop and my desktop. I have a workspace that I've been using for a week now on my desktop. Now, for some reason, I am unable to log in to my workspace from my laptop. I know for sure that the credentials are correct because I can log in using my desktop with no problem. I tried from IE and Firefox. Does anyone know why this is happening?

No need to reset the password. I can log in just fine on the desktop. I assume that this problem has something to do with the DB residing on the desktop; therefore, I posted another question and re-worded it to ask about transfering/migrating the DB to another computer.

  • WARNING: JTS5020: Invalid log path when connecting to JTS

    Hi
I am using JNDI to connect to JDBC resources defined in Sun's App Server from a standalone application.
The application is not part of the J2EE container.
I was able to sucessfully connect and execute SQL against the db passing VM params...
my problem is that every time application runs I get the WARNING about JTS logs
Here is a sample of my output:

WARNING: JTS5020: Invalid log path.  Using [.\jts].

Is there any way to specify the log file location so that the warning will go away?
    Thanks

    Hi,
This message is harmless and comes, when standalone client (if you use appclient it will not come) is used. Ignoring the message is the right thing.

  • Invalid log directory in Metadata Repository Creation Assistant

    Hi all,
I have on my laptop with OS Vista 64bit installed database version 10.2.0.3.0 and standalone AS (resp. whole SOA Suite) version 10.1.3.3. I wanted to install and configure OID not to separate, but to existing database. At first, I downloaded and successfuly installed Metadata Repository Creation Assistant (as_windows_x86_mrca_101401_disk1/2.zip). But when I run Oracle RepCA, in step 1 of 2: Specify Oracle Home Path, I get error Invalid log directory.
As Oracle Home Path I typed D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1 (as it is in registry)
As Log File Directory I tried D:\product\mrca\assistants\repca\log, D:\log etc.
Could you help me, how to solve it?
    Thanks,
    Peter

There is a Patch for Windows Server 2008.
    -->
    Patch 7497474
Description: 10.1.4REPCA ON WIN 2008: NOT ABLE TO LOAD SCHEMAS USING REPCA INTO THE DB
For me it was the solution. Install the patch (follow the instruction in the readme.txt)
After that the RepCA accepts the Log File Directory.

  • NOKIA E6 "Invalid Exchange activesync credentials....

    Dear All,
After upgrade soft to Symbian Belle I can to to sync my company Exchange email account. I`m using the same credential us before with Symbian Anna. I receive only "Invalid Exchange activesync credentials. Check credential settings".
    How to solve this problem.

    Hi cenjar,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
The error message "Invalid Exchange activesync credentials. Check credential settings" means that your security credentials have changed. This is most likely the password of your Exchange account. Please check with your administrator if you're not sure what the new credentials are.

  • Invalid log-on name provided

I'm getting an error during Exchange provisioning. "Invalid log-on name provided"
What does this mean? I didn't find anything in the docs related to this error.
    Thanks.

Check the Log On Name attribute in the Process Form. That needs to be filled up and it has to be in a format username@ or [email protected]

  • CUP: Log in credentials into user request information

    Hi Experts,
I've configured the customize request for all the request petitioner.
When the requestor is logged in system, their credentials (Name, surname, ID_USER and e-mail) are automatically filled in the user gaps (from General Information menu)
Any suggestion for make that these gaps appear empty??
    Thank you in advance,
    Marta

    Hi Chinmaya,
thanks for you answer, but I think that I didn´t explain me clearly.
when the petitioner is logged in the system, their credentials appear in the user information request.
for example, if I am the petitioner and I want create a new count. I log into system and my ID_User, name, surname and e-mail appear in the gaps where I have to fill the new user information.
So,  I don´t understand the reason because this gaps appear filled with wrong information

I am running 10g at home using a free downloaded copy for Windows. Every time I enter my host credentials (for example, when doing backups) in Enterprise Manager, I get an invalid username/password error. This happens even with several installs. Is this because I am using an unlicensed copy? Or what could be the problem? thanks.

  • Microsoft 2003 IAS immediately logs off credentials.

I'm trying to connect Cisco VPN 4.6.02.0011 clients to a Cisco PIX 501 v6.3(4), using RADIUS to an internal Microsoft 2003 IAS, configured according to http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/cvpn3k_pix_ias.html
Whenever a VPN client tries to authenticate, the client software seems to keep retrying, eventually it just times out. Microsoft security event viewer log shows that the user is authenticated and "logged on", but the immediate following message says the user has been "logged off". I should mention that the Microsoft server is the active directory domain controller. I get the same result if I provide the username in the form of "domain\username".
Using the LOCAL database for authentication works fine.
I'm happy to provide the PIX's configuration or debug messages I've gotten from it during log on attempts if you email me directly for it. sschaef2 at csc com
Any help, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The document has more information on Cisco Secure PIX Firewall 6.x and Cisco VPN Client 3.5 for Windows with Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 IAS RADIUS Authentication.

  • Digital Library log in credentials not working

I created my BestBuy.com account and am able to login to it. I've checked my account information which I think to be correct. I received an email that my order is ready, but I have the error "The e-mail address and password entered do not match our records. Passwords are case-sensitive. Please try again.". I'm at a loss what to check or try next to correct my login issue.

  • Automatic method to reset service log on credentials?

I have SharePoint Server 2013 farm that uses a number of service accounts whose passwords had expired. An administrator did some troubleshooting and configured the Windows services to use Local System instead of the named service accounts. The farm no
    longer works.
I suspect I'll have to manually change each service to use the correct account. Before I do this, I'm wondering if anyone knows of an automated method to reset/re-specify the accounts?
    Thank you,

Nothing automated. Use stsadm to revert the farm admin account, then you can use Central Admin to manually set other services to the proper accounts.

  • Error Code:  18452 - Invalid logon parameters

We are trying to schedule several crystal reports to run automatically on our server and continue to get the following errors.
Invalid log on parameters Database Vendor Code:  18452
When we review the log in Crystal Report Viewer we are receiving the following information.
The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect.
    Unable to retrieve Object.
Would anyone be able to tell us what is causing these error codes?

We resolved the error by changing the logon paramater within our ODBC datasource connection.   When the crystal report was original created it was using the designers logon credentials to connect to the data source.  In order to fix this we had to change the logon parameter to the datasource logon.   The easiest way we determined that it was using the designers credentials (UserID/password) was by opening up the "set database location" tool and then we opened up the properties; there is where we seen the UserID of the designer.   To change this you might need to create a new connection and then update using the database expert and the set database location tools.

  • XMLHttpRequest caches credentials incorrectly.

I've found what I believe to be a bug in FireFox 4 on Windows. I've not tested on any other operating systems.
I have developed a Web application that uses HTTP Basic authentication. To allow for a customizable log on screen, I'm using XMLHttpRequest to send log on credentials to the server from an HTML form.
    Briefly, it works like this:
    1. My JavaScript function is called "onsubmit" of a form. The function returns false to cancel the actual form submit.
    2. The JavaScript function collects the user/password entered on the form and passes them on the open() method of XMLHttpRequest.
    3. On successful response from the server (200 OK), the script redirects into the application, as you are now logged on and FireFox caches the credentials to the HTTP Basic realm used by the application.
    4. On unsuccessful response from the server (403 Not Authorized, in my case), a message is displayed on the page to indicate invalid user/password.
This code relies on a server-side CGI script to intelligently send the 401 response and WWW-Authenticate header as needed. Briefly, it works like this:
    1. Apache is configured to NOT require authentication for this script, although all other URLs in the application are configured for HTTP Basic authentication.
    2. The CGI script looks at the "Authorization" header.
    3. If the "Authorization" header is not present, the CGI script sends the "WWW-Authenticate" header and the "401 Authorization Required" status.
    4. If the "Authorization" header is present, the CGI script decodes the user/password from it and validates them. If valid, a 200 OK is sent. If not valid, a 403 Not Authorized is sent.
This is a common technique for using both HTTP Basic authentication and a custom log on form. The technique is very similar to that described in technical detail here:
    http://www.peej.co.uk/articles/http-auth-with-html-forms.html
It works beautifully to allow the JavaScript to handle the invalid user/password without FireFox popping up its own log on box.
The trouble (and where I think I've found a bug) is this:
Once FireFox 4 has sent credentials and gotten either the 200 or 403 response, it caches those credentials permanently in the FireFox session!
    For example:
    1. The user comes to the log on form and enters the credentials incorrectly the first time.
    2. The user then corrects the credentials and submits again.
    3. FireFox 4 sends the Authorization header with the bad credentials from step 1! Even though the XMLHttpRequest.open() call specifies different credentials.
I'm very sure this is a bug because:
    1. In FireFox 3 this does not happen. FireFox 3 sends the actual credentials that are passed to XMLHttpRequest.open() every time.
    2. FireFox 4's own log on box does not suffer from this problem. It should be no different with XMLHttpRequest.
    3. No other browser suffers from this problem.
If this actually appears to be a bug, how to I go about submitting a bug report?

Try this two steps, and EWS works fine. No popup temperately.
1.De-selecting "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication" in Internet Explorer(Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scroll down to the "Security"section).
2.If you delete both the client certificate from the Personal certificate store and the credential from  Credential Manager, Lync 2010
will prompt the user for credentials, and re-authenticate the user using NTLM v2. After successful authentication, a new client certificate appears in the user’s Personal certificate store, and subsequent sign-ins will be authenticated using TLS-DSK.

  • Sender mail Adapter - Log in Error

    Hi,
I am facing the below error while communicating with the mail server using the POP3 transport protocol.
exception caught during processing mail message; java.io.IOException: unexpected password response; read -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
Confimed with  the mail server administrator there is no issue with log in credentials.
We are able to access the mail box using the same user ID & password through webservice URL. But if we use the same User ID & password in communication channel it is showing the above error.
Any one have the idea about other possibilities to get this error?
    Thanks & regards,
    Krishna

    Hi Vijay,
It is POP3 protocol setup. We are able to login using webservise URL. But not able to log in with Mail adapter.
