Invalid type assigned for CMR field

Hi at all,
I have two entity beans, customer and article. I model a CMR one to many relationship between customer and article; customer contains a collection of articles. I'm working on the J2EE reference implementation. When verifying the application with the verifyer tool, I get the following error message:
For [ customerBean ]
Error : Invalid type assigned for container managed field [ article ] in bean [ customerBean ]
article in customerBean is of type Java.util.Collection. What's going wrong here?

What parameter do you pass to the method when you are setting the relationship? Collection of which objects? You should pass a collection of local interfaces.

Dynamic Type assignment to a Field symbol

Hi All,
I am using the below statement in one of my programs.
ASSIGN COMPONENT 1 OF STRUCTURE <lfs_dyn_colwa> TO <lfs_dyn_field>.
It works fine, but if the first field of structure <lfs_dyn_colwa> is a very large character field, only 29 characters are assigned to <lfs_dyn_field>. am I doing something wrong here.
<lfs_dyn_field> is not assigned previously. The table <lfs_dyn_colwa> is a dynamic table with field names known only at run time.
I tried a lot but could not find any solution.
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry if i didnt mention before. But i am using type any for both of my field symbols.
In the middle of processing, i am creating a structure for <lfs_dyn_colwa> dynamically as a work area.
I want to assign the first field of the work area to my second field symbol <lfs_dyn_field>.
If first field of the work area is having a character size of more than 30, only the first 29 are getting copied to the field symbol <lfs_dyn_field>.
First field of the table <lfs_dyn_colwa> is of type c10.
second field of the table <lfs_dyn_colwa> is c160.
the first field is copied alright.
the second field is copied only upto the 29th character.

F4 Help Assignment For Custom Field

Hi All...
I'm trying to add F4 help to a custom field. I have created a field of type CRMT_PERSON_RESP_LIST and I want to assign a partner to the field.
I have assigned the F4 application 'CRMM_BUPA_SEARCH' to the field and I have setup the field in the 'Field assigment for transfering values' as follows:
view - field name - result field - F4 application - field in Hitlist
- ASSIGNED_TO - ASSIGNED_TO - CRMM_BUPA_SEARCH -
Where do I go to determine the 'hitlist' fields that I can choose from? Since the name of my field is different from the name of the field in the F4 application how do I determine the fields the F4 application will be returning so that I can choose the one I want?

Since the name of your field is different from the name of the field in the F4 application , you will have to do additional mapping . The mapping rules can be defined in
blueprint customizing in table CRMC_F4MAPREC.To map the fields go to transaction crmc_blueprint_c. Go to following path and map the fields --- Layout of user interface(PCUI)-Input Help - Field Assignment for Transferring Values.
You can also find the solution in cookbook in topic 5.1.3.3

IllegalStateException for cmr-fields due to diff txns

I am using cmp entity beans on WebLogic Server 7. Assume bean 'A' to bean 'B' is
1:M
I get the following exception while trying to create bean B -
<Exception in MyClass.createB(): javax.ejb.EJBException: EJB Exception:: java.lang.IllegalStateException:
Attempted to access the collection valued cmr-field, 'b', for bean, 'A', in a transaction
that is different than the transaction in which the collection was materialized.
All access to the collection must be performed during the transaction in which the
collection was initially retrieved.
I upgraded from 6.1 sp2 to 7 and got this exception. I never got it in wls 6.1 sp2.
Since my beans are cmp, the container handles all transactions and I have specified
<trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute> in ejb-jar.xml.
How can I ensure that the container uses the same txn for accessing all cmr fields?
I will appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I figured out the problem. The caller that calls methods on the entity bean interfaces
has to wrap the calls inside a transaction.

Invalid date format for 'Created' field in the getVersions web service Response.

I am trying to get all versions for selected document by calling getVersions method Versions.asmxweb service, but getting ‘Created’ date attribute value is in the format "29-05-2012 12:01"
but I am expecting either one of the following date formats.
1.      yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss or yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssz
2.      MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm a   (a means AM/PM)
3.      MM/dd/yyyy
4.      yyyyMMdd HH:mm:ss
where do I need to change?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change date format for ‘Created’ field in the getVersions web service.
Per my knowledge, you can get the date format for ‘Created’ field as “MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm a”.

Invalid Number Error for Decimal Field While Loading Data

I am loading a delimited text file using the SQL* loader however I am reciving an error in my decimal fields. When a decimal field only has leading zeros before the decimal point I receive invalid number error. Below will clarify:
i.e.) 00000000.30 [*Invalid number*]
i.e.) 00046567.45 [*Valid number*]
i.e.) 00000001.00 [*Valid number*]
I've tried setting the precision/scale in the table, tried declaring it a decimal field instead of number, none of these methods fixed the issue. Any help I would really appreciate.

Output Type assigning for GR Print out

As after cresting of GR through MB01 or MIGO we are taking GR print out with T. Code MB90 in this we are entering only GR No. and Yaer and the print out is coming re. to Output type WE03 even though we are keepint output type filed blank on the selection screen of MB90 .
I want to confirm the required setting for How this can be set as defalut output type WE03, WE02 etc..

In MN21 you matain condtion record for specific access sequence.
Like plant/material/stor loc level or something different as per your requirement.
If you maintain 2 diff. condtion types like WE01 and WE03 for same combination then system will trigger output for both in MB90 transaction if you do not give condtion type in selection screeen.

Hi
You can use Variant of The Inspection Lot Origin to assign several inspection types to one inspection lot origin.
A variant 01 must exist for each inspection lot origin. The system then always chooses the inspection type defined as variant 01, if no control specifies another inspection type.
You can choose another inspection type as the preferred inspection type if you do not want to use the inspection type specified as variant 01 for the inspection lot origin. This is done in the inspection setup of the material master (quality management view).
The system can use the following special controls to select an alternative inspection type:
Inspection lot origin 01 (goods receipt for a purchase order)
       a.Inspection type based on the status of the supply relationship
       b.Inspection type for a source inspection based on the info record for the
          supply relationship.
       c.Inspection type for an inspection during external processing based on the
          external processing data in the task list or order operation.
Inspection lot origins 03, 13, 14 (production or plant maintenance)
                Inspection type from the order type
Inspection lot origins 10, 11, 12 (shipping)
                Inspection type dependent on the delivery category
If the required inspection type is not active, an inspection lot is not created.
Path for creating Variant of The Inspection Lot Origin :
<i><b>SPRO --> QM -> Qulatiy inspection --> Inspection lot creation --> Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types</b></i>
In this node select the inspection lot Origin and go to Inspection types for the origin, where you can define Variant.

Hi,
To avoid this error in MIRO, under "Basic Data" Tab, enter some text in "Text" field.
OR to make Text as optional, first get the Field status group for GL 24505000 in FS00, under "Create/bank/interest" Tab.
Then go to FBKP, here click on last option "Field status group" and enter Field status variant assigned to your Company Code and PRess Enter.
Here Double click on the Field status group and then double click on "General Data" and make "Text" field as optional.

Search help for custome field with different data type

I have Created a custom table in which i have created a field is
ZMATLONG which stores material number.
Now the data element is zdmat which is of char 40..
Now i want to give search help for this field ZMATLONG..
I have tried many ways giving search help to this field
a) i Tried to attach the standard search help of MATNR ie : MAT1 but its showing me data type inconsistancy
b) i created a zsearch help and in the selection method i have used database table mara , again here iam getting the same error data type inconsistancy...
Now how can i give the search help like matnr field to my custom field ZMATLONG...
How can i do it..?

MATNR ahs length 18 and ZMATLONG has length 40.So due to this u cannot use MAT1 search help.
best way would be cope MAT1 into Z search help. Then in the search help parameter change the data element of field
MATNR as ZMATLONG.
Now if you assign Z search help to ZMATLONG it will work.

I just downloaded and installed Vivado 2013.4 on my Xubuntu 12.04 machine. But when I try to add IP from the IP catalog, as in the ug937 Lab1 step2, it fails with obscure error messages (see below).
Here's basically what I did:
-In the Flow Navigator, i select the IP Catalog button.
-In the search field of the IP Catalog, I type DDS.
-then I double-click the DDS Compiler and my error occure.

We had the same problem when switching to Ubuntu 14.04, and there actually is a solution for it: make sure your locales are set to English.
$> env | grep LC_*
should only show english (or C) locales, all others are known to cause parsing errors in some numbers, usually caused by wrong string-to-float conversions (e.g. 18,29 in german is 18.29 in english). You can change the locales in the file /etc/default/localesThis is not the first time we had problems with the locale settings, Xilinx does not seem to test their software with anything else than en_US, causing obscure bugs like this one.

Invalid account assignment category for Service order

Hi Experts,
We upgrade in ECC. I suppose this topic is linked to this one. See more detail below.
On a repairing flow, central alerts by a complaint from customer. Operator creates a Repair request, next receive the broken machine (VRRE + VL02N). A inspection lot is automatically generated. When operator takes Usage decision, customizing allow to create a Service order according to the right UD code.
My issue is on this place. When operator take the usage decision, SAP displays the error message "Invalid account assignment category".
Data in standard customizing are missing in "Define account assignment cat. and document type for purchase requisitions". Only "Acct. Assgmnt Cat. Gen." is filled with "F" value (Order). 3 other are blank. If I tryed to save, SAP rejected and asked for values.
If I check in SAP help, SAP indicates that we don't have to change these values if new types of categorie are not customized. Also SAP detailled the right values. What is strange is that the flow is running without these values in production. Test in development environnement block the flow and the creation of the Service order.
Have you already heard some strange behavior like this one ?
Moreover if you have more detail on the impact on this customizing, I'm very interesting, and also the good way to solve this issue will be great.
