Ipad Stuck of Reboot Loop

My Ipad 2 is stuck on a reboot loop, and I'm not sure why. I've never jailbroken it, so thats out of the picture. I tried resetting it, didn't work. Also, restoring isn't good for me, because I don't have recent backup of my ipad, so i'll lose all of my information. icloud seemed to have neglected backing up, because i've got it turned on, but it does nothing. help!

Ipad will not charge. Stuck in reboot loop.

I have an iPad with retina display, 32gb, AT&T.
A few days ago the iPad was left over night with about a 45% charge. The next morning the iPad battery was dead. I plugged it into the wall charger and left for the day. When I came home it still wasn't showing a charge. It seems to want to reboot, but it's stuck in a loop between thowing the red battery and the apple logo, then my home screen picture flashes and it goes back to the red battery. The iPad has been plugged in tthe entire time.

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. IPhone stuck in reboot loop - too many apps installed?

Hi guys!
Starting some months ago, I've had nothing but problems with my iPhone. However, I've been dealing with most of these or even solved them.
But now I'm stuck on a reboot loop for a few days and don't know what to do.
When did it start? I think it was in May when I first got panic.plist, ResetCounter and SpringBoard-CrashLogs under "Diagnostics and Usage". Following this, everytime I rebooted my phone or the battery was empty, it could take some more minutes than normal for my iPhone to boot. This loading time increased and increased, in October it once took more than two days for my iPhone to reboot. I now have really thousands of those ErrorLogs. The Apple support on the phone couldn't help me either. Additionally, the phone performed some cruel changes I can't explain: Once the language was changed, once the photo gallery had to be restored (the iPhone did that on its own).
However, sometime in November the iPhone crashed, and I was already thinking that it would now last a few days until I could use it again. But somehow it was done within 15 minutes. Without any error or reboot loop. The last two months I haven't had any problems with this until the battery was empty three days ago.
Since then, I have had the iPhone plugged in so the battery doesn't get empty and it's stuck on the bright Apple logo. After about 210 seconds the logo gets dark, then the screen is completely black and it's starting the same procedure again. Sometimes I get the vibration, sometimes the loading circle (white wheel of death!), but everytime it just starts over again.
I am pretty sure this problem appears because I have more than 1300 apps installed (yes, this is a very huge number, but I remember Steve Jobs saying that, with the folders in iOS 4, it would be possible to have a few thousand apps installed), 4000+ photos, and so on. I am pretty sure it's not a hardware, but a software problem. In detail, it's about the SpringBoard. The iPhone 4S only has 512MB RAM, so it's hard for it to load 1300+ app icons into its memory (which it has to because the SpringBoard has to run without any lags). Only in some cases it's able to boot that up, but I have absolutely no idea which cases these are and why it has run well for the last two months, but beginning with the new year stopped to work.
Furthermore, the panic.plist entries all say that the problem is a watchdog timeout. Apple's iOS seems to allow the devices only to take up to two minutes (always around 120 seconds in the CrashLogs) to boot up, then probably another 120 seconds to launch the SpringBoard process (which explains the watchdog timeouts in the SpringBoard-CrashLogs).
I will not restore the iPhone because I unfortunately haven't backed up for a long time and there have been many data changes since the last backup.
So altogether, I tried to collect all the information I know here, but that's really not enough. Apple unlikely wants to help me, the phone support was really nice, but even asked his superior, who couldn't help either.
My questions to you folks now are: Do you have any more information regarding panic.plist's, watchdog timeouts or reboot loops?
What would your advice be? Any chance to get onto my data and back it up? Or is waiting the best solution?
Would it be better to try several hard resets, or let the battery run empty and start the whole process again, or just let the phone plugged in so it tries to reboot on and on until it's hopefully successful sometime?
And: Would it maybe increase the loading time if I would take the SIM card out of the iPhone, so the chance to have an successful try would be higher?
Note: I am still using iOS 5.1.1 because I am completely sure that I'd have to buy an iPhone 5 to run 1300+ apps on iOS 6.

Okay, some more information about this.
Apparently there is a 'watchdog' that listens whether the iPhone's software responds or not. If it doesn't, it forces a restart, and also creates a panic.plist entry (under Diagnostics). Unfortunately the responding time is only 120 seconds. The problem I have now is the so called 'Application Map'. To ensure a smooth browsing through the different screen filled with apps, this map is regenerated everytime the user installs a new app or deletes one. Because I have more than 1300 apps installed, generating this Application Map usually takes more than two minutes. I can only hope that sometime in the next days my iPhone will be able to do this in less than 120 seconds (like it has done that several times before).
I still can't explain why everything had been working great during the last two months. I have probably installed some new apps, but also deleted other ones, so the number of total apps didn't really increase heavily.
However, I've read about some possible solutions to this problem (without restoring - which would solve the problem only temporarily anyway):
Hard-resetting the iPhone until the screen is completely black, then wait a few minutes, then turn the device on. It's possible that this has to be repeated several times, but for the user who posted this it resolved the issue.
For all the (in this case lucky) guys with a jailbreak: SSH into the iPhone, then temporarily move the watchdog located under /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/mobilewatchdog.bundle to a different folder, the iPhone will boot up after a few minutes. Then just move the watchdog back. It's a shame that apparently jailbreak users can resolve this issue, while normal users can't.
I also want to note that this problem has been appearing since iOS 2, which came out more than four years ago. It would be really no big deal for Apple developers to change the 120 seconds to e.g. 300 or even more. I've found hundreds of threads, not only here, where users complain about exactly the same issue. I don't have any hope that an Apple employee will ever read this, but if so, please keep that in mind. I don't understand why Apple has done nothing to solve this issue.
However, if you have any more ideas, please reply here. If there's anyone around here who has managed to successfully install more than 1300 apps on his iPhone (or iPod touch), please post that.

Intel iMac stuck in reboot loop

Since the last few days, my 6 month old Intel iMac is stuck in a reboot loop.
Configuration:
Model Name:          iMac

OS: 10.6.8 (with patches applied as they become avaliable)
It is connected to a UPS at all times.
I always put it to sleep at night. Sometimes it stays in the Sleep mode for a couple of days (i travel and wife does not use for some time). But it always would "wake" up from Sleep on a keyboard touch. Magic mouse battery died a few days ago, so put in a new pair of battery, had the usual problem of "pairing", fixed that and continued on.
(Coincidentally, it almost also marks where my problems started).
Now, when i press any key, the iMac reboots. And then just before it looks like it will show the wallpaper, it reboots. and this continues on - sometimes 10-15 times. I press the power key and switch it OFF. Press the power key again, no go - stuck in the reboot loop. Run the Apple Hardware Test (exhaustive one included - it reports no issue found). Do a SMC reset (take off the power cord from the back of the iMac for 35 seconds) and put it back. Switch off the mouse and attach a USB mouse and press the Shift key to boot into the Safe mode. This works! Installed Pacifist to check for any non-Apple kernel extensions, none found...
Since AHT reports all fine - can hardware be ruled out?
Could it be the magic mouse? Need to try it (just wary of the reboot loop )?
If it is the mouse, is it covered in the 12 month initial warranty (I am in India)?

Intel Mac Mini stuck in reboot loop

I just upgraded the hard drive in my 2007 intel mac mini core duo. Drive formatted successfully, contains GUID Partition Table.
OSX 10.5 installed successfully.
Machine rebooted, I ran software update to 10.5.7 successfully.
Upon installing Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Acrobat Reader, machine began to react slowly to commands.
Rebooted machine, went to Grey Apple Screen with spinning dash wheen icon.
Machine rebooted itself, once again going to the grey apply screen with the spinning wheel.
After about 15 minutes of letting the continual reboot cycle happen, I inserted the installation DVD for 10.5, held the power button in to power off the machine, and booted from the disk.
I ran disk utility. Disk Utility shows the hard drive, shows the partition (GUID Partition) correctly.
I Verified Disk, which verified as "OK"
Repaired permissions.
Restarted machine.
Once again, it loaded to the grey apple screen, stayed there with the spinning dash wheel for about 3 minutes then continued to reboot over and over (everytime it reboots it sticks on the grey apple screen for 3 minutes before rebooting.
I once again powered off the machine and reset the PRAM.
Machine stuck again on reboot cycle.
I powered off the machine and reset the mini's SMC.
Machine is still stuck in reboot cycle.
I have also taken the mini back apart and verified that all RAM and connections are seated properly.
Any advice on what to do at this point will be very helpful.

Good idea.
Any time you install software in OSX, there is a small, but finite, chance that the installation process won't be able to access a needed file because it is in use. This can mess up pre-binding, or even prevent files from being updated.
So the best advice is not to run any other programs while doing software installs or updates. And when in doubt, run DiskUtility afterwards and fix permissions one more time.
I cringe whenever I think of a post I read a while back about a Mac user who boasted about what music he likes to run in iTunes while doing system software updates. Not a good idea. It's "Russian roulette" with maybe 99 blanks in the "gun", but one real bullet that can kill your Mac's installation.

IPod touch 4g 6.1.6 stuck in reboot loop after trying to restore

My ipod touch 4g has a really bad battery and only works if you have it plugged in and charging, but I've never had this problem before. I unplugged it from where it was charging and it died, of course. But when I plugged it into my computer to sync it, it started an endless reboot loop with the apple logo. I tried putting it into dfu mode and restoring it, I've tried doing it on three other macs, and the I've let the battery drain since it dies when I unplug it. Still dont know what the problem is. I cant take it to apple cause I dont have apple care on it and they cant help because the battery doesnt work anyway. Help is much appriciated.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. You do not need AppleCare and it is free.

7.1.2 has killed my ipad 3 - continuous reboot loop

need some advice what to do. Updated over wireless yesterday, ipad rebooted to the white apple logo and now reboots every 5 or 10 minutes. Hard reset did nothing, cannot turn it off, just continuous reboot. Should I unplug and let battery drain? anyone got any ideas?

Bootcamp stuck in rebooting loop

Hi guys how is everybody doing?
I got a question and I hope you guys can help me with this.
I've got a MBP with Bootcamp (Windows 7 Ultimate) on it.
I was installing software and after it finished it said it had to restart, so I did.
Now, when I start my MBP and boot into the Windows partition the "_" symbol blinks a couple of times and then the system just reboots again.
Because I've set Windows as my boot disk, it just keeps looping without me even touching it.
I've tried booting into safe mode by pressing F8, but the difference is that the "_" sign blinks maybe 2min longer, but then starts rebooting again.
I've tried using my original install disk to repair Windows, but when I select my windows disk I get the message:
"This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disk that is compatible with this version of Windows".
This confuses me even more, does it have to do with the fact that I've installed updates/Service Packs later on? That the disk is older?
There is a lot of software and data on the Bootcamp disk that would be terrible for me to lose. Therefore, a fresh install is not possible for me.
Could somebody help me out on this one? I would be eternally thankful!

Maybe I should also add that I've try booting into safe mode, but can't.
I've also tried booting into the bios but I also can't get into here.
The screen stays black with the white "_" (or sometimes it's not even there) blinking, and after just letting it be for a couple of minutes it reboots again.
I've also tried to reboot from my Windows 7 disk, go into repair, but with my own one it said that the software was too old (I'm guessing because the SP1 isn't on there).
A friend handed me a Windows 7 disk with SP1, but when I boot from that disk it just brings me to a clean install of Windows 7, no repair option.
Then I also tried to create a Windows 7 System Repair Disk on a different machine, but also no luck.

Macbook Stuck in Rebooting Loop w/battery

My cousin let me "try before i buy" a used macbook white 2.0GHZ. I got an original battery from ebay just today. The computer runs perfectly on the AC adapter and retains a charge, but once its in my computer it doesn't make it past the gray apple screen with the spinner. It just keeps going to that screen and gets stuck rebooting over and over. I've tried resetting the pram and smc to no avail. I don't have another battery to try and i did install the battery update. Let me know if you guys have any ideas.

I finally got this thing to work. Here's what i did. I booted into safe mode (hold shift on boot) then inserted the battery while it was on. It ran ok after that and I let the fully charged battery run down all the way. At this time I figured there had to be some sort of software problem going on. After that I found this website after i looked through the console logs (Applications > Utilities > Console) and googled the "bootcache" file which was causing me some problems.

I ran through the steps they suggested to reset the bootcache file and I'm up and running on and off of the battery just fine without any hangs or anything. Problem SOLVED!!

2007 80gb Ipod Classic stuck in 'reboot' loop, disk mode 'ok to disconnect'

Long story short. I'd love to revive my old Ipod classic as a way of storing all my music for my car, however the ipod won't go past the apple logo upon reboot and shows the message 'connect to your computer. Use iTunes to restore' then it goes blank again. If I enter disk mode the ipod shows 'ok to disconnect' and when connected to the computer the ipod isn't recognised at all. Today however after plugging into the computer a few times and wiggling it around a bit it just started to work. I then restored it and began to sync but when I went to play a song the ipod froze and I was forced to reboot... which put me back where I started.
HELP!

Do the iPod Disk Diagnostic as posted earlier today by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but helps in troubleshooting.

IPod Touch 4th gen stuck in reboot loop after attempting to update to iOS 6.1.5

Hi.
I have my iPod Touch 4th Gen (iOS 6.1.3)....I plugged it into my computer, it said there was a software update available. I click ok, it goes through all of it's stuff, gets up to Verifying update with Apple, and then I get an error message.
"The iPod 'iPod Touch 4' could not be restored. It is not eligible for the requested build."
I know this has something to do with Apple not signing the package, but I got iOS 7.0.4 on my iPhone today and it worked fine.

Ipad reboot loop

Ipad stuck in reboot loop, trying to restore it via iTunes, it gets started but then close to the end the ipad slips back into the reboot loop and disconnects the reboot

when I try to activate on itunes i have this message:

but I already tried many times, and nothing, in the same way after restore or restore by DFU

My iPad mini is stuck in reboot mode and won't connect to itunes

My iPad mini shut down in the middle of me using an application and now is stuck in the reboot mode between the Apple logo and the wheel of death. I have tried to do the hard reboot many times and it just continues to circle around in the reboot loop. I tried to do the "volume up" trick as well that worked for some people and have had no luck.
I plugged in the iPad to see if I can just do a factory restore via iTunes and as soon as my iTunes recognizes the device is plugged in, it then asks me to "Please respond on your iPad" yet I cannot see anything on the iPad so it won't even allow me to do a factory restore.
Is there anything I can do to just reset the whole iPad and start from scratch? I don't know what app or program did this to it but now I'm stuck without any means to use it or even reset it!

thanks for the reply, brian, but unfortunately that is what i meant by the hard reboot. i've done that many, many times and it's still stuck. nothing is helping and i can't even get it to sync to iTunes to restore it.
