IPhone 4 battery was good for a month and suddenly goes dead within 6 hours
I have been running my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.1) for a month without any problem.
Suddenly, two days ago (although I haven't changed anything) the battery goes dead in less than 6 hours...
When I touch the phone, I notice it's warm. I have checked if any app was abusing of the multitasking (by killing all running app in the multitask bar) or the location services (you can tell by the little compas icon next to the battery icon), but it didn't change anything.
I think the last thing I have done, is to purchase my first Multitask application called Avertino. I have since deinstalled it (since I believed it was the root cause of my issue), but no result.
None of my other apps are abusing of the Push Notifications. I am using Push Emails with my Exchange Server, but this hasn't change in years... So this can't be the issue...
Anyways... Something is running and draining my battery, but I don't know what... Reset and Restore hasn't help, but maybe you could?
Speharpre, I wanted to let you know I've figured out what was causing my battery problems, and it may be affecting you, too. I checked wifi, 3G and background apps, but none of these were causing the issue.
In the end, it's my Exchange accounts Push email that was draining the battery so quickly. With Push turned on, the battery drained between 10 and 12% per hour, but as soon as I switched the Push function off, the battery drain went down to about 1%.
All day I've been turning push on for an hour, then off for an hour, the back on for an hour, etc... and each time I switch it back on, I see exactly the same rapid drop in battery.
Still haven't figured out how to fix the problem. I'm going to try deleting the account from the phone and re-adding it, and will also call our server tech support to see if it could be an issue at their end. Either way, I'll let you know.

i am not able to find a playlist on my phone. i had it on the phone for months and now it is not there. i have tried to sny repeatedly and it does not show up. Help, how do I recover or get my favorite playlist back onto my phone
Hello,
While your BB may not, while in your possession, have been part of a BES environment, it nevertheless likely has an IT policy in place as this is one of the key symptoms of that fact. If it ever was part of BES, then there are specific steps that must be taken to remove the IT Policy...just removing it from BES does not remove the policy. The process to remove it is totally destructive, so be sure you back up first. Also, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore...rather, do a selective restore of only those things you need...if you do a full restore, you will simply put that IT Policy back onto your BB and be right back where you started.
OK, so here is the procedure:

My iphone 5s has turned off for 6 months and won't power up...
It was left off for 6 months while I was travelling Asia, and now won't power up.
There was no problem with the cable or phone before I left and has been in a draw safe since
thanks for any advice...Hi Tronner88 same thing happened to me this morning.
Plugged iPhone into known working charger.
Turned my ringer function button to "on"
Toggled volume + and - buttons 3 times alternatively.
Held power and home button for 10 seconds.
Let go of both buttons and hey presto iPhone jumps back to life !! -
I have had 2 USB cables break for Ipone 5 within 6 months. These cables are very bad and I suggest a design fault
We had no problems with the older phone cables8-doing a factory reset, then repeating steps 1 through 6
Do you mean a restore to factory settings?. If so did you set up as new or restore from back up afterwards? -
HT4623 Iphone 5 battery going dead within 1 hour
I have updated my i phone5 and its saying i have plenty of memory left. I do not have any songs playing. I do not have any apps running.
I have the same problem. I even didn't use my iPhone 4S the last 24 hours, and it drained form 100% to 9%.
With 6.1.2. I could use it 30 hours while making calls, texting and gaming. -
radial, graduated and adjustment filters those and all the other options which do work are immediately "greyed out" and I've got to restart the computer to get rid. Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Win 8.1 64 bit

My iPhone 5s won't turn on. Its battery was drained for more than a month. I tried charging it for more than an hour then pressed reset but it still won't turn on. What could be the problem?, My iPhone 5s won't turn on. Its battery was drained for more than a month. I tried charging it for more than an hour then pressed reset but it still won't turn on. What could be the problem?
You said "reset," so Meg assumed that's what you did. But "reset" is not a button; to reset the phone you must hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. You may have to hold for up to 30 seconds, and if the battery was completely drained, you will have to restore iOS using iTunes on your computer.

This new update for the iPhone has me troubled. Nowhere did I see where it was only good for 3GS,4S and or 5 or all. Is this update also good for the 3GS? I'm reading people are having trouble.
iOS 6 can be loaded without problem on the 3GS. Not all features are supported however.
With respect to your reading people are having trouble, what did you expect to see on this technical support forum? People don't write in to state they have a trouble-free upgrade. -
I have recently updated m iPhone 4 which was not used since months. It has to be updated from5.1.4 to iOS 7.0.4 and it has taken more than 15 hours to get started. Plz help me. It took about 5 to 6 hrs to prepare for updating.
I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems. -

I was using my old iPhone 4 as an iPod for 4 months when one day I got this error message saying "phone is deactivated visit your local to reactive" ... what the heck??? now the freakin thing won't even charge!!!
Nope. I've already turned off cellular data. It happens regardless, as soon as it is done powering on.
I suspect it might just be built into the phone's firmware to do that... and I have to hit "ignore" whenever it happens, but I just wanted confirmation of that... -
Am going on a trip for 1 month and am not going to use my iphone during this period so should i charge it full and turn it off or keep it on till the bettery dies or what ,,,pls help???
Discharge it to around 50-60% then completely shut it off. Store at around room temperature. When you return connect the charger and let the battery fully charge.
