IPhone 6 losing credit hand over fist

Hi everyone. My iPhone 6 is just draining credit away, Which standard apps (in the normal factory settings) should I turn off from worst offender to least offender that I really don't need until I manually turn them on?
I do use Wi-Fi wherever possible.
Location Services & Mobile Data are switched off.

Losing Mouse "hand" over buttons when publish for Web.

Hi,
I'm new to Flash. I'm publishing a web-site and I lose the "Hand" icon for the mouse over buttons after I publish and run the HTML=>Swf files from the Browser. When I "Test the movie" from flash I see the "Hand" over buttons just fine.
Is there a publish setting that I'm missing which allows the hand to remain?

Hi, Had to work yesterday.
At the moment I'm running/testing locally (which may be the problem) from a flash secure directory on my desktop. So no link sorry.
I think I need to look into setting up a test service with Yahoo or something. Any suggestions? I'm not really sure how to upload my completed website (.html and .swf files) to a service. That's a different topic/question. Any help along those lines is greatly appreciated.
Anyway, I'm using safari 5.1.7 on my IMac. and Safari 6.0.3 on my Mac Pro. and Firefox 21.0 (primarily) or Internel Explorer (rarely) on my "windows" laptop. The "Hand" works on all of these (files local to the respective computer) except the IMAC Safari 5.1.7 flash player 12.0 combination, which was my first test environment scenerio.
I'm planning to do two things.
1) Update my IMAC to Safari 6.0.
2) Set up a test area with a service provider. This in itself may resolve the issue for the Safari 5.1.7. At least I'll be testing in a "real world" environment.
So, thank you for your help with this. I think we can call it solved. If my testing on a true server shows the same results then I may shoot out another question. I think it is a nice goal to have our web site creations run on all platforms and browser comibations but is that realistic? If we test on as many combinations of the most recent software releases as we can with reasonable success what more can we do? I'd like to hear you opinion. Feel free to sent me an email.
Would you like me to open a new question/discussion regarding the help finding and uploading files to a service provider?

IPhone and IPad not handing over on AP's

We have just installed a new Enterasys wireless network but all Iphones and Ipad will not handover on AP's, you can see the device disconnecting but will not connect to the next AP, it waits about 7 seconds then reconnects. We have tried different levels of software on Iphones and Ipads and have worked out pre 7.0.1 works fine on both devices but any level above this fails. I have spent the day trying to see if anyone has had the same problem but no luck.
The EAP type the radius server is using is PEAP and is working fine on Windows tablets and phones.
If anyone can tell me what the difference is in software on Iphone and Ipad I would be really greatful.
Please let me know if you need any extra info.

IPhone 4 not handing-over properly since 4.3.x update

I've noticed a problem since updating from 4.2.1 to 4.3.2 and subsequently 4.3.3, initially I thought it was a network related issue, but have now had confirmed by my provider (Vodafone UK) that they do not know of any problems ...
I travel a lot, often on a train for 3-4 hours a day, often the same routes. Previously I used to be able to maintain a connection for *most* of the journey, the signal would obviously fluctuate between very good and quite poor as I was passed from cell to cell, but would typically go from good, to ok, to poor, I'd then be handed over to the next cell, and go from poor, to ok, to good again as I got closer to the transmitter, I'd usually be able to hold a telephone call seamlessly during this process.
Now the phone seems to try to hold on to the current cell for as long as possible, so I go from good, to ok, to poor, to very poor, to no signal at all (at which point any call I'm on obviously drops out), then *bamn* only now do I get handed to the next cell (which I'm obviously now much closer to that I used to get handed to it) where I suddenly get a good signal again.
Basically instead of signal strength going 4, 3, 2, 2, 3, 4 it now goes 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, 4
I had a very similar issue with an old Nokia phone I had a few years back and after several replacements from Nokia UK, they finally admitted it was a fundemental hardware design problem and replaced my phone with a completely different model. Obviously it is not a hardware issue on my iPhone 4, as I didn't have any issues on previous software versions.
I've tried asking in a local Apple Store, but the replies I get prove that the guys in there obviously know how to add music and which apps are 'cool', but very little about the fundemental working of cellular telecomms, and they keep insisting that IOS version 4.3.3 must be better than 4.2.1 at everything because it is newer?!

I have an iMac, an iPhone, and a MacBook Pro. My full iTunes library is on the iMac and iPhone, but only a handful of songs are on my MacBook. They are all associated with the same Apple ID. How do I get all of my music on the laptop?

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

An iPod backup can only be restored to another iPod.
What information are you needing to take off and sync to the iPhone?

Just bought an iPhone 5 in second hand and it seems that i need to have the Apple ID from the first owner to use it- Any advice?

I bought an iphone 5 in second hand and therefore performed a factory hard resert. When I tryed to turn it on again, after going trough all the steps, I was asked to fill in the Apple ID and password from the first owner who now doesnt pick up the phone… So now there's no way I can turn it on because I always get stuck in that part where I need to fill in the Apple ID and Password! Does anyone know how can I solve this problem?? Because I'm pretty sure the guy who sold it to me is not going to pick up the phone ever again...

So you are explaining a situation where a legitimate user needs help from Apple. Why wont Apple help? Apple knows everything about the iOS devices that are on its network. If the iOS device is attached to an Apple account then Apple knows about it and the owner. I have an Apple account so Apple also knows about me and the iOS devices that i own already. Apple even has my credit card info on file.
I dont expect you to know if an iOS device that i bought was stolen or not. But surely Apple knows cause they can send an email to the seller who has the iPhone still attached to their account and tell them that i have their phone. Then Apple can tell that seller they have a certain amount of time to respond or the iOS device will be removed from their account. Thats the best that Apple can do for their customers to protect their devices. Apple does the same whenever i buy something on the App Store or change anything with my iOS devices on iCloud. They send me an email telling me what happened and what i can do if that info is not correct. Why cant they do it with these second hand buyer activation issues?

IPhone 6 losing music

I have only had my iPhone 6 three weeks now, thought there was no problems but over this last weekend my iPhone keeps 'losing' songs. I'be had to re sync all my music twice now for it only to happen again. It wouldn't be so bad but I have over 3500 songs so this takes a very long time.
Basically after syncing ining there on the iPhone, have spent 2 hours playing them in my car today and now all of a sudden they've just gone, now next to them there is a circular symbol with a stop button in the middle, pressing it does nothing.

Are you sure your Carrier allow unlimited user access to BBM , Email , Facebook , BlackBerry World and whatsapp within this £5 package ?
If they don’t then it might be the reason for access data charges , because those application uses data packets and it depends how heavy user you’re . Also do you stream videos like YouTube on your device ? If you’re then it’s definitely the reason for access data charges.
Your device will never connect to internet automatically unless you use it . But the above apps will consume data .
If you’re concerned about those charges then while at night you can turn off your Data Services , HomeScreen > Manage Connection > Mobile Network > Data Services > Turn off at night when not using any such applications.

I have a problem syncing iCal on my Macbook air (10.7.5) and my iPhone 4s (5.1.1) over iCloud. The following server error message comes up "The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “iCloud” failed." Been to Apple Store - no luck instore, or with Super genius over the phone when with genius in store, taking data in real time via ethernet!
I had to do a full wipe of my system because of time machine back up issues 2 weeks ago, and the error has only occured at some point since then. I only did a drag and drop of my user account folders/files into an External HDD rather than a copy of my user account (advised by the staff in store at Apple to do this) and when reimported, the Mail folders are all present but each message is in a sub-sub-sub folder that is numerically named. I do not have a mirror image of the hard disk prior to the wipe, only a time machine back up from 2 weeks prior to it being done. I am uncertain if this reinstall has caused the issue.
I am not happy to upgrade the software in my iPhone until I have the calendars working. I have purchased Mountain Lion, but again am concerned about upgrading until the issues are sorted.
I have tried the other solutions on here with no luck. HELP please.

Progress Update.
I made a back of what existing phtos and Videos I had on my Iplhone. I used Image capture to do this making an entire back up of photos and videoa that were still intact on the phone.
Image capture is god for this purpose, as it does exactly what you ask it to do without applying any rules or squishing the files back into iphote (which might also be corupted)
Image capture wil do the basic function of retriving the contents of the phone and save them as native files on your hard drive.
Once I did this I erased my iphone, and re intitialised it restoring an older back up from icloud.
As the retore was happneing - I did retreive the missing files that cuased the intial beviour as above, and I could play the videos that were missing in the above scenerio. The wierd ting was however that even though the source files were now back on the device, the thumbnail previews were missing. Where I ahd balck thumb nails for server portions of the resotred content.
I then went to bed as the restore is a long process. When I woke up the library had library had cleaned itself up. Mysteriously the prcess had deleted the files missing the their thumbnails.
This is very perculiar and bad behavior.
I am now repeating the process, and will attempt to download the missing content as it is restored and prior to the phone trying to fix itself.
Here are the lessons learned.
DO NOT rely on Photo Stream to keep back ups and synchornise videos from you IOS device. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS CAPBILITY
DO NOT rely on iCloud Back Up alone - always fd an occassional iTunes back up or more reliably still always take a back up of photos and video files using Image Capture to be doubly sure that you a have backd up any content.
DO THIS NOW - dont wait to loose your phone ofr have your phone repaired by replacement at the apple Store. (I did both :-(

iTunes will need to be set up on your computer however you can set up a new Apple ID to use for your iPhone. Really all you need to do is Assign a new Apple ID to your iCloud account.

After you do that, on the device you want to assign a new iCloud account go: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign in with the new Apple ID.
NOTE: This does not effect iTunes, all of your devices can continue to use one shared iTunes account under your original Apple ID for downloading apps and backups. This simply gives iCloud a place to sync the individual devices information and will stop iCloud form merging all the information, such as contacts, with all of your devices.

Randomly losing network connection over wireless

Shortly after installing the 10.4.5 software update, my G4 iBook with built-in Airport Extreme card has been losing connection with increasing frequency. Built-in Ethernet use is unaffected. I'm calling this problem thrash-and-drop.
1. When it's losing signal, processor activity goes through the roof. I had Activity Monitor running during a thrash-and-drop. kernel_task CPU consumption goes from under 1% before the event, to over 80% during the thrashing, and back under 1% after the thrashing stops. The activity is so bad the cursor can't be controlled: using the track pad sends the pointer all over the screen or nowhere at all.
2. This has been observed to occur with two different wireless base stations: A Linksys WRT54G and an older SMC 802.11b router. Either router is within 10 feet of the computer. Only one is running at a time. There are no other base stations in range.
3. Another iBook G4 (OS 10.3, Airport Extreme card (not built-in)), sitting next to it, shows no change and its wireless behavior is unaffected.
Initially, this seemed more likely to happen when Safari was loading Flash-heavy pages. And after thrashing and dropping a connection, it was able to reconnect after either a reboot or a five minute sleep. Currently, it can't connect to a base station for more than a minute. Most recently, it thrashed and dropped while I was selecting the base station to use. This is true regardless of the application running. In fact, it will thrash-and-drop when there are no user applications running at all, after a fresh reboot.
I've tried the following things to address the problem. None have affected the thrash-and-drop problem. Admittedly, most of this is random:
1. Back up and delete network preferences in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
2. Turn off IPv6 in System Preferences/Network
3. Back up and delete network preferences in ~/Library/Preferences (com.apple.NetInfoManager.plist and com.apple.NetworkUtility.plist)
Has anybody else seen this problem? I want to blame it on the 10.4.5 upgrade but I haven't seen anybody else complaining about 10.4.5 doing this to them. If there's something I can do to fix this in a software setting, I'd much prefer that to yet another roadtrip to the Apple store.

I have the same problem of randomly losing network connection over wireless, though mine is hardly related to surfing.
I have an external storage drive in which I use for backup of my stuff, and I access the drive via my modem, using the airport. Of late, I noticed that when copying files from my iBook to the external drive, the connection would suddenly drop before the transfer is completed. This began to occur with increasing frequency, particularly when transferring large files.
I have since abandoned wireless connection, and reverted to my trusty cable. Still, I admit that I'm really curious about the cause of the apparent lack of reliability with my wireless connection. Has it something to do with the airport?
