Iphone 6 plus dropped on road

I had bought my iphone 6 plus 16GB SPACE GREY and it is iOS 8.1.3 . I dropped it on the road and it have scratch on the side of the phone . i just removed my tempered glass . What to do now ?

You'll need to check your warranty language > https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do - it is never a good idea to do anything yourself such as removing stuff, or trying to open it up, etc. - then take it to the Apple  Retail Store Genius Bar - make an appointment > Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar

  • My iphone 4 was dropped on road

is it possible to change the front glass screen for Iphone 4 in singapore ?

Yes check ebay and watch some youtube vidoes and if you replace it your self this will void any warranties you may have.

  • I dropped my iPhone 6 plus and now the volume down button is lodged in. How do I fix this?

I haven't had for my iPhone 6 plus for long - almost a month. But I just noticed that the volume down button is lodged in and it is stuck which must have been from me dropping it. But it doesn't affect the volume whatsoever as I can still lower or increase the volume, I was wondering what can I do to fix this or if I bring it to apple will they fix it for me for free?

Since you have dropped the phone I don't think that they will do the repair for free, sorry.
But you should not try to repair this on your own, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at an Apple Store and see what they decide.

  • IPhone 6 Plus battery life seems to drop non-linearly

I'm not sure it's a problem yet or not, but I've been watching the battery life over this first day of use, and it is very non linear, even though use has been pretty linear.
For example, after the battery indicator dropped to 90% usage I calculated out how much the battery life would be at that rate and got like 19 hours!
But at 80% usage it dropped to 13 hours.
And so on... subsequent calculations have it multiplying out to 12.5 hrs, 12.3 hrs, 11.2 hours , 9.3 hours and now at 55% battery it multiplies out to 9.2 hrs.
I wonder why the more time passes the remaining percentage seems to drop at an accelerated, rather than a linear rate. Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    doug

The rate of battery loss is still slowly accelerating. At this rate I expect less than 8 hours usage time.
I wrote a review of my new iPhone 6 Plus here and brought up the issue:

If anybody has any ideas, or comparative battery life results, please let me know.

  • Dropped and dented iphone 6 plus - ?selective 4g radio damage

I dropped and dented my iPhone 6 plus 3 months ago, but it worked perfectly after. I changed my giffgaff SIM to an EE SIM yesterday and ever since have been unable to access any data functions, despite good connection and 4g in the status bar (I can make and receive calls and texts). It worked fine for the three months up to yesterday.
My SIM works fine in someone else's iPhone 6 plus and his SIM does not allow data access in mine (although works fine in his own phone).
Is it possible to selectively damage the 4g radio?
If so, why did phone work fine until I changed SIMs yesterday.
I've all the usual reset network settings, and overnight will restore the phone to factory settings to see whether a software problem.
Anyone else have experience of this?

Last night restored phone back to factory settings, then set up as a new phone and lo and behold, the EE SIM card now works fine - i.e. a software problem after all

  • My iPhone 6 plus screen cracked without me dropping it.

I have had my iPhone 6 plus for about 6 months and a couple of days ago I noticed that there is a diagonal crack. I did not drop or hit the phone. I totally have no clue of how or why it happened. I took it to the apple store and they want me to pay for fixing it. They said that there is no way for them to know whether I did or did not drop it and hence they assume the worst case scenario and the only way is to pay for fixing it. I'm really upset as I just feel that it is utterly unfair to pay for something that you did not do. Has anybody had a similar issue?

Screens or any glass plate does not just crack spontaneously by itself.  Somehow, accidental or not, something must have happened to cause the crack.  So, from Apple's point of view that is not a hardware parts nor manufacturing defect, and thus not covered under warranty.  You can pay to get the screen replaced though.

  • I dropped my IPhone 6 plus in water and now the power button does not want to work

So i had the Iphone 6 Plus in my hand when it feel into a big puddle and it was in there for more than a minute so i come home and i find out that the power button (on the right hand side button) doesn't want to work like its on and im on the home page and then i press the button and nope nothing and the volume button somewhat works and sometimes the power button works so i turn it off and i put it in the rice next thing you know the phone turns on again without me touching it or anything. So I need help and the phone is new not even a month i have had it and i don't want to spend money on it. Please help! This phone is my life and i will do anything(that does not wast money) to save my phone.

You can try leaving it in that bag of rice for 5-7 days to see if it will dry, however if it will not stay turned off, I would say that something is shorted out. You will need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider and be ready to pay for an out of warranty replacement. If you purchased Apple Care Plus there is only a deductible, but without it, you will have to pay the price of an out of warranty phone. User damage is not covered under warranty.

  • IPhone 5s wireless connectivity issues, cannot upload files/state to iCloud, and supposedly needing to do so in order to get my files/state onto a new iPhone 6 Plus

I am trying to get my files from my old iPhone 5s onto my new iPhone 6 Plus. I am currently and have been using iCloud to backup my files/state. However, I believe the antenna on the iPhone 5s went kaput a few months ago, because the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, both, do not work at all, meaning, I have tried all solutions including, resetting network settings, restarting the phone, etc. This is problematic because, as far as I know the iPhone 5s needs to be connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to a Wi-Fi Hotspot in order to ask the internet, in order to upload current information/state to iCloud. Herein lies my problem.
I have used iCloud already, to download my current files/state to my iPhone 6, with a caveat, these are only the files/state from before the antenna supposedly went kaput. That means, that all of my files/state since that time, while still being on my iPhone 5s, is not uploaded to iCloud, which then means I do not have it on my iPhone 6 which was updated to the most current files/state that was available at the time.
    What do I do?
I have iTunes installed on a Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 Computer, and I have made a backup on there. However, I have to admit, I find iTunes very counter-intuitive and very difficult to use/understand. And I'm mostly referring to the syncing/backing-up features. I know you have to have safe guards to protect software usage, but with this high-minded philosophy of minimalism, couldn't it be as easy as drag and drop? Even software syncing? USB syncing with iCloud, etc?

Thank you for the information. I checked out the section and read it through. From what I can gather, you can start your new iPhone from an itunes backup (Set Up Iphone > Restore from iTunes Backup), but, in my situation I need to add the Files/State from the old iPhone backup to the new iPhone that was started from scratch and has it's own unique Files/State, without subtracting from either. The problem is, that I don't want to subtract anything, and from what I understand about Syncing, if I am Syncing a new iPhone that's been started up, edited, has it's own suite of apps, etc. to an old backup of a previous iPhone, I am going to lose everything new I've done, as it will sync with the previous Files/State.

  • IPhone 6 Plus mic/earpiec not working.

A tiny drop of water went down into my earpiece 2 weeks ago and i kept sucking out the water and i left it over night in a bag of rice. The next day the earpiece was working perfectly fine but the mic for the front facing camera, facetime, siri and voice dictation is not working. Every time i try to take a video using the front facing camera all what i hear is a muffling sound. Is this an earpiece issue? Should i change the earpiece? IS there a mic inside the earpiece?

I have always used the iPhone's LED flashing alert to notify me when I get a call or text message. While I was on iOS 8 Beta 2-4 it was working fine. I did a clean install of the complete iOS 8 release and ever since then, the flash alert doesn't work.
Sometimes it will work on incoming calls, but will not work on text messages. I've tried soft/hard rebooting, clean wipe and fresh installs, and pretty much anything in between. Now, today I got my 128GB Gold ATT iPhone 6 Plus, and it's the same thing. Updated to iOS 8.1, reset everything/deleted all contents and settings. Both fresh install, and iCloud backups and still no alerts on text messages, but now I get them on calls. I tried my girls ATT 128GB iPhone 6 and she has the same problem too. My old phone was a 64GB iPhone 5S and hers was a 32GB iPhone 5. Everything was good until the official release of iOS 8.
I've tried searching for related issues, and haven't found anything since 2011 with a quick Google search. Most links just tell you how to turn the flash alert on but no new issues. All of my devices are on iOS 8.1.  I gave my father my 64GB 5S with a clean install and he still has the issue as well. So, that makes my iPhone 6 Plus, my girls iPhone 6 and my fathers iPhone 5S not flashing LED on messages and sometimes calls. There aren't any custom vibrations enabled on any if the devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it a known bug or am I just not doing something right here? i never had an issue before the iOS 8 release. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Call Forwarding Breaks with iOS 8.3 Update on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with AT&T

Ever since the iOS 8.3 Update, call forwarding is no longer working on my iPhone 6 Plus.  I have spent dozens of hours troubleshooting with both AT&T Advanced Business Technical Support as well as many hours with top technicians from Apple at my local Genius Bars.
This is a critical bug for me as I used to use the call forwarding option multiple times a day, EVERY DAY, because when I am in certain business locations my mobile phone gets no reception and calls go right to voice mail.  I need to have them forwarded to the land line I'm located at.
    APPLE, PLEASE HELP!!!
I've done extensive testing, and this seems definitely to be related to Apple iOS 8.3, and it seems to be specific to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus ONLY.
    To illustrate the EXACT problem:
    A: Settings -> Phone -> Call Forwarding
    B. Call Forwarding - Turn on
    C. Enter Number and return to previous screen by touching the blue "Call Forwarding" to return to previous screen.
    D. Call forwarding button is "green" for a split second, then returns to previous OFF state and no forwarding number is displayed.  DOES NOT WORK.
NOT AN AT&T PROBLEM.  IF SOMEONE IS EXPERIENCING THIS WITH OTHER CARRIERS PLEASE COMMENT HERE.
Further validation this is isolated to iOS 8.3 on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus ONLY and not the sim card from AT&T...
Here are the latest steps I did with my AT&T sim card and my wife AT&T sim card (she has an iPhone 5s):
    1. Removed my sim and put it in the 5s. The phone said that a "carrier update" was required and I selected "NO" to that prompt.  Call forwarding functionality worked as expected on the 5s running iOS 8.3
    2. I removed the sim from the 5s and re-inserted it.  This time I selected "YES" to do the carrier update to eliminate that as a variable, and the call forwarding functionality still worked as expected.
    3. I then placed my wifes sim in my 6 Plus. Call forwarding functionality does NOT work on the 6 Plus (was not prompted for carrier update). Also, keep in mind this is my second phone (Apple provided me with a new iPhone 6 Plus when they couldn't resolve the problem at the Genius Bar after hours of troubleshooting).
Note: I did one additional test which as interesting:  I put my sim in the 5s and turned call forwarding "on".  Then, I put the sim back into my 6 Plus.  The calls were still being forwarded to the number I put in while it was in the 5s, but the call forwarding interface in the 6 Plus showed that it was NOT forwarding calls.  I could not turn OFF the call forwarding from the 6 Plus and had to put the sim back into the 5s in order to turn off the call forwarding.
If anyone has an update on this, or any other suggestions please advise!  This is a critical issue for me as when I travel and when I am in poor areas of reception I need to forward calls.  This is a featured I was using multiple times a day, EVERY DAY.
    APPLE?????????  HELP!!!!!!

Yes, I am dealing with this right now on at&t with a 6 plus. I've been down the same road as you. I got it to work with a windows phone yesterday but not my 6 plus when I switched back to the iPhone. My wifes 6 works fine. I believe it is an at&t issue and not an 8.3 issue. After dealing through several levels of support at at&t, they are telling me it has to do with their transition to hd voice. Some people are having this issue because they are updating their system and some peoples phone profile, on phones that have hd voice capabilities, are not getting added to their line and call forwarding will not work without it. I have a trouble ticket open to their engineering dept and they promise it will work for me on or before the 24th of april. Engineering has to build my phones profile so call forwarding will work with my iPhone.
This is frustrating because like you, I need to forward my calls because I have no signal in my office and need to forward to another phone so I can get my calls. If at&t would quit dragging their feet and enable wifi calling, this wouldn't be an issue for me. I would suggest you put more pressure on at&t and escalate this until it gets resolved. Or put your sim in a phone that does not have hd voice capability and see if it works then.
Good luck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this will be fixed for me on or before the 24th. We'll see.
EDIT: I see you did put it in another phone and it worked. That backs up that the issue is at&t and their hd voice upgrades. They had no explanation as to why some work and some don't, but have them make sure a profile for your phone is on the line. If not, they'll need to build one for the phone so that it''l work. At least that's the story for now. Like I said, I'll know more in a day or two.

  • Upgrading from iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 Plus after Water Damage

My iPhone 5 fell in water back in October of 2014. I placed the phone in a bag of rice for 3 days
straight when it happened. It dried out fine and worked like nothing happened. Didn't matter I had
to upgrade to the iPhone 6 Plus anyways since it was released around that time. I decided to leave
my last existing backup on my computer (that I did before the phone dropped in water), and not backup
the phone after the water drop. Because the data could potentially be corrupt due to the oxidization of
components inside. Long story short I have the iPhone 6 plus now I got yesterday.
    What I need to know:
My iPhone 5 still works but obviously it now doesn't have a working sim card. There are apps I wanted to
take snapshots of, or files I wanted to export from various places from after the water drop happened (which
I never backed up for reasons mentioned above. I already did a backup restore to the new iPhone 6 Plus from
the backup file made prior to the water drop. The iPhone 6 Plus is working flawlessly.
Can I use both phones at the same time with the apps going at the same time? Or will their be a weird
lockout conflict of sorts? Remember one phone has a working sim, but the apps will be the same as the
old phone and I don't want to use both at the same time if it will cause problems.

It won't cause problems to use both. Of course without a sim card in the iPhone 5 it will be just a glorified iPod touch now and will have no access to cellular networks, sms, etc. But it will at least work, and any apps that can run over wifi will continue to work as before.
You might find an app like iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com) useful for getting any remaining info off your iPhone 5 and onto your new iPhone 6 Plus.

  • Iphone 6 plus screen flashing white and black

My iPhone 6 Plus 16Gb suddenly started to show screen artifacs, like flashing with white and black, so I can't see the springboard only black and white screen. Restart of the phone didn't help. Even when the phone is booting, Apple logo doesn't appear and then again flashes. As it seems on background everything is working, as I can receive sms and phone calls. It is just the screen. iPhobe 6 Plus is brand new, I've been using it for 1 week and it never dropped. No physical damage, no nothing, just flashing

Have you tried a Reset by holding down the Sleep / Wake Button and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple logo appears, then let go of the buttons, but wait until the Reset completes and you are back at your lock-screen?  If this doesn't work then do you have a computer with the current version of iTunes?  If yes and you already have a Backup of your Media and Data on iCloud or iTunes, then you can put the iPhone in DFU Mode.  Don't do this unless you have a Backup and also have a computer with the latest iTunes.  You will need your Apple ID and Password.  To go to DFU Mode you can hold the Home button while you plug the Lightning Cable into the iPhone, a graphic will appear on the iPhone screen showing that you need to connect to iTunes.  At that point just connect the iPhone via the Lightning Cable with USB into your Computer.  Open the iTunes App on the Computer and wait until a button appears representing the connected iPhone.  Then click on the iPhone button on the iTunes screen and it should open to the Summary page.  At that point you can Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings and bring it up as A New Phone.  The iPhone should screen should then show Hello and you will need to connect to your WiFi via your Router WiFi Password and then answer all the question put forth by the iPhone.  When the "Lets Get Started" occurs you can thoroughly check out the iPhone to make sure it is all OK.  When satisfied that things are good, you can plug into the computer and iTunes and this time Restore from Backup.  or if you Backup is in iCloud you can Restore over the air.

  • Iphone 6 Plus Screen Cracks

I have what I consider to be a huge problem. I set my phone down on its screen (So I don't end up damaging the camera)  on a clean, flat table. I set one side on the table, and dropped it the rest of the way to the table, and heard a pretty loud "POP". I picked up the phone, and found 4 cracks. Two on the right side, and two on the upper  and lower corners of the phone. I was livid! I just paid almost $1,000 for a phone that I can't even set down without it cracking? This is definitely an issue that needs to be fixed ASAP!
This Screen scratches extremely easily, and is not strong at all. I treat all of my electronics very well, and to have a screen on a $1,000 product break from the smallest impact you could imagine is just ridiculous!
It doesn't help that I am still waiting for my cases and screen protectors to arrive from Spigen!

So tell me? How did my phone crack in 4 places with zero impact marks?
also, do some research before making claims. Straight from the apple website.
    iPhone 6: $109
    iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5: $129
Plus a $6.95 shipping fee. Fees are in USD and exclude local tax. Pricing applies only to screen repair by Apple. Accidental damage isn’t covered under the Apple One Year Limited Warranty.
TTwo screen repairs without apple care is $260.
Two screen repairs plus buying apple care is also $260. Since is have never broken an iPhone screen before, I don't envision having to do this again if they do charge me, but still, it would be the same price.
to finish, you're saying because you've never seen it happen, then it's impossible. Unless you're Jesus, which I'm sure not, you cannot possible determine the outcime of every single situation that will ever happen.

  • Iphone 6 plus screen crack, how much does it cost.?

Had iPhone 3,4 and 5 and never had protective case. over the years phones fell several times. they even fell down on road, except for small dings on the edges they  never had cracked screens.
6 plus screen cracked after falling less than 3 feet (from back pocket) on to wood floor, even with protective case (bought case so that it won't slip from the hand, phone being so slippery).
I think,  Quality of apple hardware and software went down drastically with latest round of refresh.
iOS 8 has lot of issues.
usually hardware is high quality but seems like that is not the case anymore.
Even worse part of the experience is:
had online chat with apple support person and (Julian) he/she mentioned he/she will give me a deal for $129, fixing the screen.
After a quick google search, seems like list price of fixing the screen is in fact $129, I don't think there is any deal  (see the question).
    Question::
How much does it really cost to fix the screen crack. screen is working fine.
    https://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/screen-damage/
Page lists price as $129 but support live-chat person mentioned around 350 something and offered deal of $129.
Did anyone had the iPhone 6 plus fixed ? if so how much did it cost, without applecare.??

Whole unit replacement of an iPhone 6 Plus is $329 USD + tax.
Screen replacement only is $129 USD + tax.
Either you misunderstood, or they were simply trying to explain how a screen replacement is less expensive than whole unit replacement.
Why do you care if it's a 'deal' or just the normal price?  Are you wanting to be treated special and different from other Apple customers?

  • IPhone 6 plus screen becomes unresponsive!!!

I bought my IPhone 6 plus when released. I received it by mail on October 17. now the phone was perfect,it worked the way it should and the screen was perfect also. The only problem i had with it was that whenever i would close an app through the multitask menu my screen would flash blue but i would disregard it. 2 months go by and everything is perfect. it wasn't until late December when i began to have an issue with the phone. My screen would become unresponsive to touch and when it did respond it will be completely way off from where i touched it. i will also get this gray bar at the top of my screen when it happens. this happens almost all the time throughout the day. its getting to the point to where my phone is almost unusable. I haven't dropped my phone and it hasn't came into contact with water either. I have done a factory reset and set my phone up as new and it didn't work either. I just want to know if i am the only one having this issue or are there other people with this problem.

I have an Iphone6 bought in October and after iOS 8.1.3 the screen became unresponsive. I did the hard reset and itunes reset doesn’t work. It starts ok everything fine in minutes working the screen freeze. All other things works fine, music still playing, gps still guiden me, the phone rings ( But i can't take the call as the screen do not accept my command ). I don’t know what to do.
